James *** with Genz-Ryan completed some outstanding work for us todayMy day started with another company "red tagging" my furnace because of the issues they foundI phoned Genz-Ryan for a second opinion, and I'm very glad I didJames was the technician assigned, and he completed a very thorough and professional analysis -- and the results showed that our furnace is working just fineHe saved us money, gave us confidence that our lives aren't in danger, and demonstrated a tremendous level of competence in his trouble-shooting approachI'd give five stars to Genz Ryan -- and stars to James!!

My kitchen sink faucet hand held device started to leak late last nightBilly Bof GR came today, identified the problem as a fitting issue, disassembled the device, checked the washer and reassembled it, tested it, and checked the entire coil for any cracks in the coilFixedPleasant TechnicianProfessionalThis is his second visit to the home, after changing out a toilet successfully some months ago

Our experience with Dave B the plumber was excellent He was very personable, gave good advice as to the problem at hand and did a very professional installation of our new kitchen fixture Our experience regarding talking to a scheduler and customer service was poor I called at 7am with a leaky sink plumbing, was automatically placed on hold and then told to leave a message I left a message, and after not receiving a call by 7:30am, I phoned again, was placed on hold automatically, and then again told to leave a message My point is, when I make an emergency phone call such as this, I want to talk to someone and not have to leave messages
You will not find a better HVAC technician than Dan W Exceptional work!

If anyone is contemplating purchasing a system from Genz-Ryan, please read my review so you can have a better understanding about the level of service provided by this companyHere is my Genz-Ryan Story
In July we dropped $10k to purchase a new 'state-of-the-art' Lennox furnace and AC system as a replacement for the system in our existing house
Two years later (I think), the AC system broke down during the middle of summer, and required a full recharge
Two winters ago (I think), the furnace wasnt heating properly during the middle of the winterI made a service call, and they said there was no problemSo I asked him to put his hand by the heat register to feel the airflow while the furnace was 'running', and he told me that was normalI asked if it typically takes more than one hour during -degree weather to raise the temperature in the house by one degree, and he said YES! He told me that the system was designed for 'comfort', which is why the airflow settings are so low
I had the same problem twice with the AC during two separate summers, and when they came out, they said that the airflow is so low because the system is designed for 'comfort'During summer, it continues to be 10-degrees warmer upstairs vs downstairs
This past winter, I noticed that the house wasnt humidifyingIt took two separate service calls to fix that problemBy the time it was fixed, I asked what was wrongThey said they werent sureThey said that the system somehow forgot that it had a humidifier, so they had to re-register the humidifier settings within the thermostat
Then yesterday (during early summer), I walk down into the basement to find the floor covered in water! It didnt take long for me to realize that the water pump attached to the system wasnt working (the pump that removes all of the water from the AC/dehumidifier system)
This happened three months after I had just had my basement perimeter torn up for two weeks to waterproof the entire areaI guess I clearly didnt contemplate the potential of a flooded basement from a water leak in my new Genz-Ryan 'state-of-the-art' furnace/AC systemI should have known better
I called the customer service line, and immediately asked to speak to a supervisorThe person on the phone wanted to find out what the problem was first before he transferred me, and so I told himHe then told me that he was a supervisor (his name was Kareem I think)I told him what the problem was, and I again asked if I could just return the system, get my money back, and agree to just move on and remove me from my miseryOf course he denied that requestHe asked if he could send someone over to the house right away, and I told him I couldnt get away from work, and so I asked him if someone could come around yesterday afternoonHe said he would call me backHe then told me the GFCI outlet that the pump was plugged into was probably tripped, but he said he would still call back tat day to follon that problem, and look into whether they would repair the water damage to my houseWhen I got home, sure enough, the outlet was the problem, but the outlet wont reset itself, because something is clearly wrong in the electrical circuitryI never did receive that call-back that he promised me, so I called at 5:yesterday afternoon to speak with someone, and after holding for a while, it put me into a voicemail, where I sternly asked for a call-back
At the time I am writing this review, I have still not received a call-back
I will be spending the weekend trying to remove all of the water from the basement, and assess the damage to the floor and walls
Now, I understand that equipment can break downThose things happen, and sometimes that is not anybody's faultBut it is really hard to forgive the lack of folland poor customer serviceThose things are entirely preventable
At this point, I think I just have to cut my losses, and just find another company that can provide me with different equipment, and move onHow sad though...what a waste of $10,

We are so grateful for the quick and thorough response we received from both your company and Joel P Our plumbing problem was damaging our fixtures as well as prohibiting us access to any clean water Although we needed both a new water softener and iron filter, all was taken care of, installed and operational within a few hours Joel made sure we understood what we needed to do, how to most effectively operate our equipment, and we cannot thank you all enough for being there when we needed you We only hope that this reaches you personally, and that you will thank Joel again for us
I responded to a Genz-Ryan duct cleaning special emailed to meI called and spoke with ShelbyShelby provided excellent serviceShe setup three appointments for me...the one for the duct cleaning, one for the annual furnace tuneup, and one for the annual plumbing checkupJoe and Glenn were at my home this morning to clean the house and dryer ductsThey were very thorough in providing a most comprehensive duct cleaningAs a result, my furnace and clothes dryer are sure to perform more efficientlyGone are the residuals of pet hair, every day dust, and remodeling dust built up through the yearsI am so grateful for their excellent serviceWhile other companies may advertise less cost for duct cleaning, I doubt that their results will be as effective as Joe and Glenn providedWhat I learned in googling and reading to educate myself about duct cleaning is that a low cost duct cleaning done in a short amount of time does not produce optimum results
Genz-Ryan were very friendly, helpful other than one part of it Our first service tech called us letting us know that he would be there in minutes which was great The next day the service techs that were installing our new furnace arrived later than expected due to a team meeting that we did not know about and we did not get a call from them letting us know when they would be here They put drop cloths down but they were dirty with debris and leaves and should have been shook before they came They answered any questions I had and went over everything before they left and were very professional installing the furnace and it is working great!
