The Genz Ryan tech did an excellent job in servicing our furnace His inspection was very thorough and he left a number of service options as well as alerting us to potential concerns Very courteous and clean

Dave ***, of Genz-Ryan Plumbing & Heating serviced my hot-water heater He described the procedure and answered all my questions Very courteous He informed me that my water softener was not functioning At my request he provided me with a quote on a basic system Five star rating

Excellent service with a very thoughtful service tech Lance C***He went out of his way to help us get a temporary fix of hot water until final broken pipe fix can be doneAnd he came out in the middle of a blizzard ! Thanks Lance :)

Tyler and all of the people we've dealt with at Genz-Ryan have been professional and helpfulTyler was thorough and observantHe pointed out things beyond the furnace and provided suggestions and options without pressure to purchase servicesI would not hesitate to recommend them!

I called them to repair an exhaust fan on a yo water heater that the had installed and was under warranty Two guys showed up and after an hour they came up from the basement with a sales pitch to replace my water heater, water softener and install a filtration system for a total greater than $10, I called them because my wife would be home alone to during the visit and I naively thought a company like Genz-Ryan would not try to take advantage of her The were making up dramatic stories about how are water wasn't safe for our children with out their products After we asked them to just replace the exhaust fan it took them a tota of four hours to finish the job Final bill for the warranty repair was $ This is nearly the price of a new water heater I can not under emphasize how disappointed I am that I called Genz-Ryan Never again

My husband and I had Genz Ryan come out to look at our water heater because our flammable vapor sensor went bad on our hot water heaterThis was under warranty by the manufacture, but we decided to get service faster than the manufacture could provideGenz Ryan came out to our home and the service technician Joel made a statement about not being familiar with the newer unit in our homeWe let him look around for a few minutes to see if he could find anything additional wrong with the unitWe then requested that we get an emailed receipt to be able to view the charges of the labor and partsWe never received thisI contacted Genz Ryan to request an additional copy be sentThis was sent and the charges are lumped as oneI contacted the customer service and asked about an itemized bill and was told that they don't do thisHow can we verify the charges of the service call without any pricing break downAdditionally, I was told that if I started the monthly service plan with them

Dave *** arrived as scheduled, promptly assessed the problem and offered several solutionsIn addition he resolved a problem I had from a previous installation of a toilet at no charge, easily and cleaned up after himselfIn addition he informed me of a valve problem with water pressure, called my city and assisted me in getting that valve scheduled to be replacedHe was pleasant, efficient and helpfulI give him five stars for his service!

Dan was great to work with, he was knowledgeable, courteous, and explained how things worked so I understoodThanks!!

Genz-Ryan provided very prompt professional service for me

Although the results of my furnace inspection were unexpected and pretty much a worst case scenario I felt the information and service I received from Noah was top notch I don't necessarily feel I was taken advantage of even though the cost of replacing a furnace was a lot more than I expected Middle of the winter so I was happy to get this taken care of the next day The installation took about hours even with a decent amount of custom work being done

Genz-Ryan came to certify a furnace for a City of Richfield point of sale inspection Ricki and his partner Dan took less than an hour to claim the following work needed to be performed to certify the furnace 
Blower motor amperage was low:
-When asked where the amperage guidelines were found they said the internet; however they could produce no make or model number for the blower motor so we could verifyExhaust piping must be replaced by double wall piping to be up to code:
-No such code exists for currently installed furnaces
Laundry tub must be removed for proximity to furnace per code:
-No such code exists for currently installed furnaces
The quote for all this work was $sort of When asked for a specific quote they couldn't provide one right then; unless were going to do the work We were told the quote would be emailed the next morning When we called three days later having not received either an invoice or a quote we talked to a manager Jeff He had limited information about our appointment The information he had didn't show that we had been given an $"quote" When we continued to ask tough questions about the specifics of his technicians report to us he finally hung up  It took weeks for an invoice for the very unethical visit, which being year and on SSI I paid $for, to be delivered by email No quote was provided, just a $furnace inspection visit that said the furnace had failedI had another HVAC contractor out later that week to certify the furnace and confirmed there were no code violations and the amperage testing they did was bogusThat visit was $

Saturday morning we woke up and no heatMy husband tried to light the pilot with no luckWe called Genz-Ryan and within an hour or so we had Zach B arriveHe also called and let us know he would be at our home in minutes He knew right away it was the ignition and had the part to repairHe was very professional and very pleasant Although we don't want anymore issues with appliances we would be happy to have him back

A week ago my water heater went out and I called Genz-Ryan of Burnsville MN I was told that there would be a trip charge of $to have them come out and look and see what’s wrongI agreed as that seemed reasonable and if they did any work, that charge would be applied to the billThey get to my home Wednesday, May 16th at 3:45pmUpon inspection, they determined the main module needed to be replacedThey started explaining options to my wife who told them to call me instead and explainThey didOption They could replace the item right away for $plusOption They could wait for the part from Whirlpool which would be there Monday, May 21st, and come back out and install it for $plus another trip charge of $Option This option was never told or explained to me but when Genz-Ryan called Whirlpool, they offered to overnight the part for $Why was this kept from me? As you can see, I was already into it for the hundred dollars trip charge and to

I had bought a water softener and wanted to have it hooked upI called Genz Ryan and they said they had a service fee of $to come out to my house which was fine since I figured installing a water softener that required two hoe connects would be simple and inexpensiveThe plumber arrived and said he didn't like the softener I had bought and wanted to sell me a new oneI told him the one I had was a highly rated unit and I was not interested in buying one from himI asked what it would cost to hook mine up and he said he needed to go figure it outHe returned from his truck and gave me several quotes starting at over $for the "Full Service" option , $for the next option and finally $for the bare bones installation!!
I reminded the plumber that I was providing my own softener and only wanted to have him hook up TWO plumbing connectionsI was outraged at the blatant attempt to cheat a senior customer, hoping I would be ignorant enough to accept his quoteI wrote him a check for $and sent him on his way
I called another plumber and he installed my softener for under $He told me of another instance where Genz Ryan installed a ice maker for an elderly couple for $Watch out for these guys and be sure to get a second quote

Noah F from Genz-Ryan came out to my house regarding my water heater Courteous, extremely knowledgable and provided first class service My first experience with Gens-Ryan I will call them first next time because of Noah's professionalism

We had Genz-Ryan out yesterday to replace our water softener and water heater The main Service Technician we had was Bill *** He was very professional, knowledgeable, helpful, a hard worker and friendly Bill reviewed what was happening to our appliances and then made a plan and shared it He gave different options with different costs that were helpful to choose from Once we chose an option, he started on it right away and worked on it till it was done He brought in another employee, so it was completed that day Bill did a great job was and cleaned up after too! We would recommend Bill *** from Genz-Ryan anytime!

Office staff was very helpfulTechnician David A, did his bestRight up front he said he was not real knowledgeable on our system but got the job doneLoren BCalled the next day said he and Bosch rep are coming out to see me to get the system running right
