Good service

I had a water break in my homeGenz Ryan was called, field manager and one technician arrivedI was charged $for this which I have no problem withFuel manager said first they had to identify where break was, which I already showed themField manager broke valve to water main and they broke the bifold door to furnace and water main areaStated they could not do more until water was shut off by city which was the next dayBut he needed payment to move forwardI paid $1,that evening with credit cardThe water was shut off the next morning by amGenz Ryan did not show up till almost in the afternoonFixed valve they broke and replaced lines under kitchen sink where the water break wasWhen finished he asked for $more in paymentI said you have my card info that I paid you with yesterday and he said no I do notI said you are charging me $for these parts? He put on invoice Large restoration system and one small restoration system which I did not

I called Genz-Ryan in the morning due to no hot waterThey had an appointment set up for a plumbing service technician (Matt) to come that afternoonThey called two times to let me know what the estimated time of arrival would beGreat communicationAfter evaluating the problem and explaining in great detail the options that were available, I had a new water heater installed by that eveningI know that Matt worked a long day and went above and beyond by working late so that we were happy and our problem was solved

Nick Mfrom Genz-Ryan did a great job of first assessing the issues with my air conditioner and secondly laying out the options to me along with explaining what those options will all correct with my system He was straight forward without overselling or being to pushy I would have no issues with recommending Genz-Ryan or Nick to anyone based on my experience Nick completed the work in a timely manner and my air conditioner is once again working great

We called for a check on water heater we ad a card for$serviceThe guys came in before we know it, they were telling us our water softener was out plus our water was bad everything was ruinedThey recommended a twelve Thousand dollar repair planThey had other less options I said we needed the water softener, he said that would be $then a pressure part that would be $The toilet was running and that was $Before we knew it, he had plummers there new faucets we never got to choose and wanted a check for!$6,250.00, Which we wanted a price break downHe said then it was a package they don't break the price downHe would email the receiptA week later I called we were sick about how they wouldn't tell us what else we payed forWhen I called the woman on the phone says oh you signed up for a service plan which we did'ntThen she transfers me to Jeff who was gonna resolve this issue he says oh I see you signed up for a service plan, he proceeds to tel

• We had worked with Genz-Ryan in the past and had been impressed
• We needed a new boiler and on the recommendation of our Genz-Ryan HVAC tech, Noah, we decided to get a "top of the line" Bosch combi boiler
• The install cost over $10,
• I got to see different employees over days, and it took them days to get it working over a period of a weekI had to "deal" with them for consecutive days
• I have made requests for receiptsThey came incomplete totaling only half the cost
• I made five requests for the outdoor sensor to be attached to the boiler before getting a response other than "it doesn't need it." After sending this review to Genz-Ryan, and before this posting, Noah called and we scheduled a time for him to come and put it in
• Their automated system asked for feedback before the boiler was working or before I had received any receipts for work done
• Genz-Ryan told me twice they were certified to install Bosch boilersI called BoschBosch told me Genz-Ryan is not certified to install Bosch boilers"I'm sorry sir, but that company is not on our list," the people at Bosch told me
• Before posting this review, I sent it to them asking them to help me conclude itI got a call from my initial technician, Noah, but there has been no effort on the part of management to acknowledge any problemI still do not have all the receipts - I am missing the receipts from Joel's visit for half of the total charges
• In order to have some piece of mind, I had to hire another HVAC Bosch certified specialist to come and inspect Genz-Ryan's workHe pointed out that the port to gauge the exhaust temp is next to the wall and therefore not useful for taking that measurementEverything else checked out okay
• Everyone is very nice at Genz-Ryan, but this experience adds up to a lack of competence across the boardIf you search through the one star ratings, you'll notice the copy/paste response of their "striving for world class customer service." World class? What world are they talking about? Courtesy and thoughtfulness are great attributes, but are worthless in the face of such a display of repeated incompetence
I wonder if the Revdex.com is aware of Genz-Ryan's use of their logo on their trucks?

The Genz-Ryan employees are first class - well-mannered, prompt, hard-working and responsive to our needs

I had a furnace replacement, plumbing estimate, and electrical work doneThe communication on what needed to happen was very poorThe entire crew was supposed to come at once and get everything doneThe electrician did part of the work and left and the plumber never cameOver hours and multiple phone calls later a plumber finally showed upThe estimate was three times the cost of other companiesI asked for a detailed invoice on the work that was done and still haven't received it after days and multiple phone calls

Had an excellent customer experience by Noah Fof Genz-Ryan Asked him to evaluate a vent pipe that may need replacing He was very knowledgeable, friendly, honest and punctual I will definitely use Genz-Ryan again Had not used them in the past

Jimmy L provided excellent service on our central air conditioning

I called Genz-Ryan Plumbing & heating in the morning and had Matt Mover a couple of hours after, replacing a kitchen sink which was hard work due to the heavy one I had and replaced a new garbage disposal Fast service, honest, professional and kindI will definitely call this company again and ask for Matt Mto work on my next projects

I called Genz Ryan when my furnace quit working during the recent cold spell They were unable to give me a definite appointment, but said that they would send a technician some time that day I was treated with courtesy and professionalism by the customer service representatives on the telephone (Karen and Alexis) I received several calls to update me on when I could expect the technician About 8:PM on a Friday, Noah Fappeared at my home He put on shoe covers and immediately went to work on diagnosing the problem He explained the situation and the alternatives for repairing the problem He installed an upgraded blower motor and had the furnace working in about two hours He was professional, cleaned up the work site and repaired the problem Overall, I was very satisfied with their response and work completed
