I had bought a water softener and wanted to have it hooked upI called Genz Ryan and they said they had a service fee of $to come out to my house which was fine since I figured installing a water softener that required two hoe connects would be simple and inexpensiveThe plumber arrived and said he didn't like the softener I had bought and wanted to sell me a new oneI told him the one I had was a highly rated unit and I was not interested in buying one from himI asked what it would cost to hook mine up and he said he needed to go figure it outHe returned from his truck and gave me several quotes starting at over $for the "Full Service" option , $for the next option and finally $for the bare bones installation!!
I reminded the plumber that I was providing my own softener and only wanted to have him hook up TWO plumbing connectionsI was outraged at the blatant attempt to cheat a senior customer, hoping I would be ignorant enough to accept his quoteI wrote him a check for $and sent him on his way
I called another plumber and he installed my softener for under $He told me of another instance where Genz Ryan installed a ice maker for an elderly couple for $Watch out for these guys and be sure to get a second quote

They installed a new AC and heating system in my bramd new construction home After months I have had to get a technician here twice The AC unit is still defective and my home is not cooling off in the hot suimer AC unit is now making loud noisesnot happy with this setup

Our year old AC stopped working and Genz Ryan stated it was a circuit board that went out, and that for about $I could get the AC working againMike also said for $a month we could get our systems checked out for freeThe AC still didn't work and they had to come back out and find out the real reason, the compressor was out (just like our neighbors that Genz installed too, years ago)Mike stated it would take about hours for the install and the quote was $for the hoursWe waited for over weeks during the summer for the compressor to be installedIt only took hours, but they insisted on still charging $1100!We could not get them to show us a receipt on the work or on the work they did previouslyThey wouldn't even give us a warranty on the workI also called on 8/22/(talked to Collen) to cancel the $a month charge since they overcharged me on the installRachel at Genz Ryan kept charging our card every month for the $20, even though we cancelled a

Dave *** arrived as scheduled, promptly assessed the problem and offered several solutionsIn addition he resolved a problem I had from a previous installation of a toilet at no charge, easily and cleaned up after himselfIn addition he informed me of a valve problem with water pressure, called my city and assisted me in getting that valve scheduled to be replacedHe was pleasant, efficient and helpfulI give him five stars for his service!

He explained everything that was impacted from our plumbing emergency after he got the water flow stopped quickly He educated me on what he needed to do to and the cost to do it I was very comfortable authorizing him to do the repair because he was so impressively qualified, and was able to shut off the water flow when I could not

I recently had a routine maintenance check from Genz-Ryan on the one year anniversary of the installation of a new furnaceThe service representative was on time and responsive to several questions that I wanted answers for regarding our furnace operationIn particular, I am pleased to say that he resolved a humidification system issue that had not been set up when the system was installed one year ago

Thanks to the polar vortex and my yr old furnace, things got a little uncomfortable this week However, I called GR and they listened intently to every single thing I had to say, were extremely kind with their responses, and immediately put me on the schedule I am certain everyone there was working around the clock, but you would never know it because they made me feel like I was the only customer they had and that my needs were equally as important as everyone elseZac came out to do the work, and he was everything I have come to expect from GR: kind, thoughtful, professional, and well equipped to do the jobThanks to everyone with whom I interacted, as this was a tough week for all of us and I appreciate you all very much!
