Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home Reviews (1313)

On Tuesday, 9/19,2017, Zach *** from Genz Ryan came to do an Annual check up on my furnacePutting on shoe covers before he entered my door made him stand outHe was polite, noted my arm in a sling and asked what happened? He discussed in detail what he'd be doing and made small talk during the processHe did find two small problems and discussed repairing now or waiting till future---NO pressureThis was great service I've had for years and recommend to othersThanx Zach Rose Ann

Zach *** did a great job

My AC broke down in my home, I called Genz Ryan to helpI was given an estimate of what is costs to fix itthe estimate was $My home Warranty was picking up roughly $of the cost and I would pay the differenceFirst issue was the quote I received from Genz-Ryan was just a total price, I had no idea what service or what parts and labor costs wereAll the paper gave me was a total priceI called this place over times to get an itemized billI needed to know what exactly I was paying forThe quote they gave me was VERY highI attempted to call them on several occasions and never received this informationI was told on the last call I made that we do not give itemized bills to our customers
They ordered the part, and I was told if it came in early, that they would come install it earlyThey received the part on June Nobody called me and told , they got it earlyThey came to install my AC parts on June After they tracked dirt and leaves throughout my house

It was a very positive experience, from the scall to the actual servicing of my air conditioning by a technician I would definitely recommend Genz Ryan for heating and air conditioning issues

Zach B*** was great!

I was totally impressed with the overall professionalism of the Genz Ryan Team Customer Service was excellent from my initial call throughout the visit Mike Bdid an outstanding job identifying the issues and explaining it in terms that I could understand He clearly laid out my options without pressure and offered suggestions for improvement in managing my troubled heating systemBased on this interaction, I definitely would/ will use their services again and recommend them to others Thank you for employing and engaging trustworthy and competent professionals that represent your company very well

Genz-Ryan sucksWe called a week ago to have them come to our home to install water line before our new fridge arrivedBill *** did the workThey charge $just to come out, no free estimatesBill *** spent hours at our home trying to upsell every "problem" he could findOriginal quote was $5,for work plus other home improvementsHe spoke about guitars (mutual interest w/ my husband)Husband did not assent to $5k and was not sure about price for "only" the water line, which Bill quoted at $Husband said he didn't want to pay him $for nothing, but the quote seemed really highBill then told him if he did not take his quote, then he just got "paid $to talk about guitars."
Really?
Bill *** said he'd help us out on the $1k quoteHe would get our price down $by reducing the two year warranty down to daysGreatWhen my husband asked why the quote was so high, Bill said "the company has to pay for their trucks, and healthcare costs for employees." Not that this was a difficult or complex jobThey needed to pay for their high overheadNiceThey do not quote by the hour or materials, just by jobI asked manager Jeff *** for an itemized bill, and was told it was a "complex formula" they had in their computers that calculated priceI asked for that formula, and he said he would not give it to meI asked for three quotes to other customers on three comparable jobs, he would not give it to meWe priced materialsCopper pipe, $Hammer arrester $12, water shutoff valve $Flexible water line from pipe to fridge, $Copper T-bracket and elbows, solder, let's call it $Soroughly $in materialsMileage? I would assume that was part of the $fee to look and give bidWith the $for estimate/mileage charge and the $in materials, all that's left is the charge for being a plumber and time spent on job$That being said, he did a good jobI respect those that work and that people should be paid for that workI know companies have costs of their own - nothing is for freeTHAT being said, we were robbedThere is a difference between being charged for work at a fair comparable rate, and getting GOUGED because of ignoranceI don't believe this was fairAnd the fact the manager just brushed me off and did not even attempt to work with equals a BAD experienceCaveat emptor, my friendsBuyer bewareWe were uninformed and we needed the work done, but people should not be taken advantage of like thisPlease think twice before working with themAt least arm yourself with this info and protect yourselvesThe Genz-Ryan jingle has been adjusted a bit"I HATE those guys!"

Do not be fooled by an A+ Revdex.com rating The only thing a company has to do to retain this rating is reply to your complaint Not necessarily satisfy the customer, but reply to the complaint Genz-Ryan installed a furnace and air conditioner in our home on June 21stEverything that could possibly go wrong did! Our sales guy, Ryan, was supposed to email us a copy of the contract prior to installation, that only happened because we called the morning of and said not to send the trucks until we had a copy Genz-Ryan's contracts are very vague They wouldn't commit to the brand of furnace or AC unit they were installing and everything was only verbally agreed uponThe installation was a complete disasterThe installers, Mike and Matt, installed the wrong furnace (a one stage rather than a two stage), ran inch piping which we later found out was far too large for our unit, ran PVC pipes all over the floor in the basement in front of washing machine which would constantly be stepped on The furnace was incredibly loud and the installers didn't leave our home until 11:PM! We asked that Genz-Ryan contact us first thing in the morning and were unable to get anyone to talk to us until 4:00pm the following dayWe set up a meeting with Richie (quality control guy) for 2:the following Monday, He didn't show up on timeAt 2:we finally called to find out where he was and we were given the run around saying they had set up a window of time between 2:and 4: This was never communicated to usWhen Richie finally made it to our house, he admitted that "this would never pass inspection" and asked what he could do to satisfy us We asked for our money back and for them to let another company tear out their equipment, which they could pick up on the drivewayThis was agreed upon by both sides However, upon tear out of Genz-Ryan's equipment it was discovered that the exhaust pipes were not glued together in different placesThis would have caused our home to fill with carbon monoxide and could have killed usIt was also discovered that the furnace was so loud because our installers had left the instruction manual inside the fan! This too could have easily caused a fireWe were also informed that Genz-Ryan had not applied for a permit with the city and left no papers or instructions for us to schedule an inspectionThey also left our old thermostat because they didn't have a new one in their truck, and our next company was quite clear about the fact that our old thermostat would not have worked with a stage furnaceGenz-Ryan never mentioned thisAt this point we asked for compensation for the day and a half that both my husband and I had to take off of work for the install and to deal with the meeting that they arrived late toWe did not ask for compensation for the additional day that we had to take for another company to install the furnace we now haveWe also asked to be paid for the boards of siding that they damaged by putting inch holes for their inch pipes, when they should have only been using inch pipes We have huge holes in the side of our house that are completely unnecessary Genz-Ryan has refused any further compensation for our time and damaged siding, stating that we have settled with themDo not waste your time or money with Genz-Ryan!

Very nice, professional technicianGreat service , on time and budget

Jeremey Rdid a great job of discovering the problems with my heating and air conditioning unit, and presented alternatives for solving the problem He even helped install a toilet seat while I was doing a loan approval on-lineFinally, he presented an 'individual plan' that I accepted

Noah F from Genz Ryan Plumbing and Heating did a very good job doing maintenance of our AC unit todayHe arrived promptly, completed the service, and was very friendly

My Daughter called Genz-Ryan for a quote to replace a faucet in a kitchen sinkThey said it would be $for a service call, which would be applied to the job should we acceptThey wouldn't give a direct quote for replacing the faucet since they said all jobs are different and they would have to see it before giving a priceI knew the job would take less than an hour to do so I said that's fineI expected to pay $- $since the sink and faucet were only 3-years old and easily accessibleMy Daughter was there to meet the plumber since I was out of townWhen the plumber arrived, he told my Daughter it would be a flat rate of $to replace the faucetMy Daughter got me on the phone and I asked the plumber why they wouldn't tell me about the flat rate when I calledHe had no answerI asked if they could simply charge me an hourly rate for the job, and he said they quit that practice years agoThe job took minutes, which equates to a rate of $per hourExtremely disappointedTheir use of deceptive business practices gives the plumbing trade a bad name

Outstanding tech Explained issues and options in detail Work was done expeditiously and professionally Everything was cleaned up and back in working order

The tech was very thorough in working through a complex problemHe explained what he found and discussed the repair optionsOverall a very positive service call

Very professional Explained other questions pertaining to furnace maintenance during the service call

After calling in on a Friday I was told someone could come look at our leaky sink on Monday, so I took off work to be thereThey ended up rescheduling for the next day, so after missing a second day of work, I shell out the money they needed to replace the partsIt was installed pretty miserably and started leaking again a few days laterAt least they had the courtesy of giving a year warranty after robbing me of dollarsThat's another day of work I'll miss while they fix their mistakeAfter all the time and money I've spent with this issue, I'd stay far away from this company

Had an excellent customer experience by Noah Fof Genz-Ryan Asked him to evaluate a vent pipe that may need replacing He was very knowledgeable, friendly, honest and punctual I will definitely use Genz-Ryan again Had not used them in the past

I called Genz-Ryan for a furnace tune-upLarry came out and did a very thorough job and found two problems that needed to be fixedHe gave us some good reasons to either do the repair or go for a new furnace; ours is years old.We decided to replace the furnace
John

Mike B*** the Service Technician called within the communicated time frame and arrived on timeHe got straight to work expanding the steps and found the root cause of the problem I was having with my air conditionerThe house was hot due to the air being out all week 6/through 6-He found the problem replaced the defective part and I signed up for their maintenance packageHe provided me with recommended updates to my HVAC system in a easy manner and walked me through all the optionsAt this time I was good with getting cold air flowing from my ventsI would recommend Mike for any future jobsThe only item was the long time to get the appointment scheduled but overall I am very pleased the service

Same day service totally unexpected but so appreciated Jeremy came out to our home to look into a air conditioner issue He was very thorough and explained every detail and gave us options for the repairIt was nice to have options for "US" to decide how to proceed This made it easy to pick the proper repair option for usNever once was there pressure to over sell or run up the bill for unnecessary repairs! days later Terry came out to handle the repairs and did an outstanding job Arrived on time and was very thorough, extremely neat and clean! It was an a top notch experience
