I would not ever work with these folks ever again They quoted me a very high price, I trusted them but then got skeptical, I asked them for an itemized invoice and they refused to five it to meBecoming skeptical, I decided to get a quote from an independent HVAC and Plumbing certified company They quoted $lower than Genz-Ryan! I had already signed the deal with GR, so I was locked into the priceI brought the price of the Job up to Genz-Ryan to their attention, but they said thats their price and I have to pay it On the day of the job, GR guys showed up for a person job I had people sitting in my driveway for over 1/hours or more (because I had to leave for work) drinking coffee waiting for parts to arrive and an electrician to do his workI live in a town home My utility room is the size of a coat closet Why would you ever send that many people for a two person jobI paid for excessive fees on labor for a small job Insult to injury, their work did not even meet code for our city inspectors Now I have to deal with them on fixing their faulty workA week later I had a plumbing issue with my sink I called their competitor, got a fair market price and have no issues with their work It was awesomeIf you want something done right with your HAVC and plumbing needs, NEVER CHOSE GENZ-RYAN

I called them to repair an exhaust fan on a yo water heater that the had installed and was under warranty Two guys showed up and after an hour they came up from the basement with a sales pitch to replace my water heater, water softener and install a filtration system for a total greater than $10, I called them because my wife would be home alone to during the visit and I naively thought a company like Genz-Ryan would not try to take advantage of her The were making up dramatic stories about how are water wasn't safe for our children with out their products After we asked them to just replace the exhaust fan it took them a tota of four hours to finish the job Final bill for the warranty repair was $ This is nearly the price of a new water heater I can not under emphasize how disappointed I am that I called Genz-Ryan Never again

Noah gave us over an hour notice before he arrived so we could plan on someone being home He was very professional and explained the issue He provided us with several options from the most basic repair to total replacement of our a/c system I was very pleased with our experience especially since we were in a pinch

I was impressed that I was not charged for a service that was not needed Brent could have so easily have charged me for a needless maintenance check on our fairly new furnace, but since we had no heating issue at present he recommended we keep the $tucoupon for when a service request may truly be needed Thank you Brent for your honest assessment

Dave Bwas our technician He was prompt, polite and honest We needed a new Water Heater and Water Softener He was extremely knowledgeable and was very thorough in explaining what was wrong and needed to be done We called for service in the morning and they were out in the afternoon Dave stayed into the evening to finish the job Highly recommend Genz-Ryan Thank you Dave for the excellent service!!

He checked my furnace to make sure everything was in good working order and also the air comditioning Everythng was good He was very polite and a delight to talk too

I started with a call to Genz Ryan to schedule an AC tune up in mid July The technician, Jake, came to our house in late July He told my wife that we need a long list of things fixed so my wife told him to send an email then talk to me about the options After a few days, I call the office since we had not heard from Jake The office said he would call me After three more days, I call the office back since I had not heard from anyone He email me a list of options without any prices so I called himWe discussed the options and I said I would schedule after a week of vacation I then call the office on the 17th of AugustI was informed that Jake no longer worked there so they needed to send out a new technician On Aug19th, Ryan came out and explained what needed to be fixed which the list grew from $to $with additional leak in the AC We scheduled the repairs for Aug24th A new technician(do not know his name) arrived on the 24th and spend hours doing the repairs and left at pm I arrived home at 5:pm and noticed the AC was not kicking on We spend one hot night without AC I called the office back on the 25th when Jeff Pcame out to find that the previous tech switched two wires so he fixed the wiring After technicians and $2600, we have AC working which it was working before we started this processes

Prompt arrival time, very knowledgeable, found a problem that has been bothering us for years and fixed itWill use this company again

Just met a very nice H-VAC technician by the name Alberto from Genz-Ryan who did a thorough tuof our central air conditioner He was so patient with answering all my questions and showing me important things to know about how to care for our system to prevent problems down the road when the AC will get a hard work-out Don't want to have problems at the peak season when one really needs the AC to work properly It's hard then to get service when it will be in high demand due to mal-functioning equipment

We have used Genz-Ryan for several years now and have been very pleased with their service

Thought I had good service to begin with, but after some digging I found that I had been ripped off! Technician charged me $to replace a capacitor that I found I could purchase for $from a local appliance parts distributor >1400% markup....REALLY!!! I know it was not labor because he had to take the old capacitor out to check it as part of the $tuneup price...took all of about minutes
Also, technician advised me that my venting on my power vent water heater was out of code Code changed a couple of months ago, and is not allowed Said I should take real good care of the water heater because it will be a big expense if the venting has to be replaced (venting is in a finished ceiling and not accessible)
Checked with my building inspector, and he told me the code changed months ago, and there was no change regarding venting Also, he said even if there was, I would be "grandfathered" in, and not required to upgrade Told me not to worry
Exorbitant pricing and bad advice will cause me not to go back to this vendor for any more service on appliances
