M2 Media Group Reviews (305)

Review: On 2/12/2014 I received in the mail the [redacted] magazine. I did not subscribe to the magazine, so I contacted them and spoke with their representative. I was told that M2 Media Group signed me up for a one-year subscription ending in Dec 2014. Prior to this conversation I had never heard of M2 Media Group. The representative agreed to suspend the subscription at my request but said that I would need to contact M2 Media Group in order to cancel the subscription. When I contacted that number I was unable to reach a live person, but instead was routed through options, some of which would require leaving personal information with the company. I have never authorized M2 Media Group to use my name and information to order a magazine from any company.Desired Settlement: I want to find out why M2 Media Group sent me a paid subscription to the [redacted] magazine without my authorization, and I want the subscription cancelled immediately. Also, I want M2 Media Group to check if there are other magazines that are subscribed under my name through them or not. If there is, please cancel all of them immediately too.

Hello,

In response to your note below, you are receiving [redacted] magazine

as a result of redeeming your [redacted] currency (or possibly a

friend/relative redeemed their [redacted] currency to send you a gift).

There are no hidden costs, further obligations, or automatic renewals

associated with your subscription. There was no credit card information passed

to us.

Your cancellation request will be forwarded to the publisher for

processing. Please note that based on the timing of your cancellation you could

still receive another issue.

Review: Blue Dolphin aka M2 Business Media group went ahead and renewed a free subscription for [redacted] magazine without prior authorization, this is clearly fraud as well as mail fraud and theft. They have caused me to cancel my debit card to create a new one and have to change all electronic billed items which is a pain in the tailfeathers and there was no need for this to happen other than greedDesired Settlement: refund my $ 49.95 via check

Response:

Review: I have a $10 Blue Dolphin Magazines Gift Card that is worthless. I want to order the magazine All YOU for $19.95 this is over the minimum $11.00 to use said gift card. When I go to order ANY magazine the site will not honor my gift code and tells me to go to an alternate site with less magazine choices and NO option to submit the gift card code.I HAVE TRIED AGAIN AND NOW IT TELLS ME MY GIFT CARD CODE IS INVALID!!!There is no phone number to this site and I have read multiple reviews saying the gift cards are worthless.Desired Settlement: $10.00 the amount of my gift card so I can order the magazine directly.

Issue is not resolved yet, but I have sent a message to [email protected] with my code of: [redacted] letting them know it is the ALL YOU magazine I am trying to order.

Review: The web site says "Try any of our magazines RISK FREE'. The web site DOES NOT state ANYTHING about automatic renewal. They SNEAK that into the email you receive as a receipt. They have charged my card twice for items I DO NOT want subscriptions to. That's the scam with this company.Try them risk free, means RISK FREE. It means you don't go charging people's credit cards after wards. That is FALSE ADVERTISING. Plain & simple.Desired Settlement: I want my money refunded, for all 3 magazines I tried "RISK FREE".

Review: On April 24th I received [redacted] magazine in the mail. I thought it was just some type of free issue. When I received another one on May 1, I called [redacted] and they advised that they received the subscription from M2Media Group. I have never heard of this company. I have never done business with this company and never authorized receiving this magazine. I would like a full explanation as to where they received my information and why they feel that they have the right to send me magazines without my authorization. In addition, after they send me this information, I would like them to erase all information they have on me from their database and confirmation that they will never contact me again.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of any monies they have charged to me and would like all my personal data removed from their servers and confirmation they will never contact me or anyone in my household ever again.

Review: [redacted] promised me a [redacted] Hose on 8/20/2014 and a Pedometer on 9/13/2014 for answering their surveys at my email address, [redacted]. I have documents to prove this. They also promised that I would be notified via my email address within 10 to 14 days if I was not one of the qualifying respondents. I NEVER received an email from [redacted] Magazines.................Desired Settlement: Delivery of [redacted] Hose and Pedometer ..................

Response:

Hello,

In response to the

inquiry registered by consumer [redacted], we are sorry for the inconvenience that Ms. [redacted]d has

experienced.

The customer opted in to receive our e-mail offer on 03/09/2014 at 5:01

AM, and opted out form receiving our e-mail offers on 03/20/2014 at 11:07 PM.

We never actually sent Ms. [redacted] the pedometer or pocket hose e-mail offer,

as we do not mail customers who opt out from receiving our e-mails.

The offer clearly states that only the first specific number of respondents

will receive the product and Ms. [redacted] was not one of the first specified number

of respondents. We have sent the pedometers and pocket hoses to those who did

qualify.

The customer would not have received an e-mail letting them know they

are not receiving the products since they opted out of receiving e-mails from

us.

Please be assured that customer satisfaction is very important to us

and we take great care in providing our customers with the highest level of

service.

Sincerely,

Review: I have randomly received a subscription to [redacted] magazine which I never ordered. At first, I thought this was simply a delivery mistake intended for a previous resident, but realized that my name was the addressee. I attempted to call [redacted] magazine to resolve this issue, but they said it was the fault of a third party company called M2 Media Group. Upon contacting M2 Media Group, I discovered that no customer service representative exists. All cancellations must be submitted in writing or electronically. At this time, I have no idea if M2 is trying to hold me accountable for these magazines which I never contractually agreed to.Desired Settlement: Apology for the misuse of consumer information, and guarantee that the subscription will be cancelled, and that I am not liable in any way for their mistake or business practice.

Review: I have received several magazines that I did not order. The magazines will not cancel the subscriptions and they refer me back to M2 Media Group. This company's customer service number will not connect you to a person to speak to and it refers you to a web site (for cancellations) that does not work. The telephone number for the company only rings. There is no way to get in contact with a real person. I would like all magazines subscriptions stopped at once as I did not order them; I do not read them; and it is an extreme waste of paper! Please help me. Please contact the magazine directly to further assist you with this matter. I am unable to locate this magazine for the name and address you have provided in our system. Perhaps this order was placed by another agency. Furthermore, M2 Media Group does not renew subscriptions, nor do we contact customers via telephone as we do not have phone numbers in our files.

I apologize for any inconvenience.

Review: Charged my Banking Account without my consent.

I started recieving several magazines (Lucky, Self, and Women's Health) with a bogus name, but with my last name listed with my address. I never looked at them and didn't think anything about it. I looked at my currenet bank statement online and there were three charges ($15.99, $13.00, $12.00). I did not authorize the transaction, nor do I know how they got my debit card information. This is very scary for anyone.Desired Settlement: I want a credit back for what they charged me. It comes to a total of $40.99.

Review: As od 2/2014 I started recieving and unwanted and unrequested magazine subscription to "[redacted]" Upon calling the magazine's customer service I was told that they were unable to cease this mailing because my "subscription" was through a 3rd party. That 3rd pary being M2 Media Group. Upon calling them was instructed to go to a secure website [redacted], to fill out a form, again, to cancel a non existent subscription. Requiring me to submit private information to complete In the comments section I requested my information be removed from their database.
