I have been with State Farm insurance since I started driving in and have not had a ticket in years My dissatisfaction started several years ago when I received a notice that State Farm is no longer offering homeowner insurance in Florida I, of course, had to find another company to insure my homeA few months after obtaining new insurance I was informed that State Farm changed their mind and is continuing to offer homeowners insurance in Florida When I tried to re-obtain homeowners insurance with them, they told me they were not taking new customers In I backed out of my garage and into a guests car that I forgot was there and in my wife bumped the car in front of her at a stop light when it turned green, not even hard enough to scratch her white bumper Now State Farm is canceling us under their Mutual company but they graciously offered to insure us for the low price of $per year, three times our previous rate Unfortunately, I have been a loyal customer over the years even when cheaper rates were out there and I have used them for previous and current auto loans I will never recommend them again and will be moving my loans to another company Like a bad neighbor, State Farm will turn on you in a second or run away when you need them

On Nov28,at 1:am an underage, doped up State Farm customer hit my vehicle while it was legally parked and then left the sceneThe police were called and a report filled According to SF records the customer notified them of the accident on Dec However, the first contact to us from SF was on DecAFTER we had finally gotten the information from the police department and called them ourselves! On Dec SF decided to total it for much less than a comparable one could be purchased; the vehicle was in great condition we just wanted it fixed but they did what cost them the least REMEMBER, we were not at fault in any way On Jan3, SF told me they would overnight the forms needed to sign over the titleThey assured me I would have a check within a week On Jan10-a full week later-they arrived I returned the form on Janin the envelope provided On JanI still HAD NOT received a check When I called them SF said the paperwork had not been processed yet! I have been without my vehicle for DAYS and they have done nothing!!!! The poorest excuse for a company I've ever seen!

I had paid $325,to the State Farm Insurance cofor my auto insurance on Novemeber 14th, MrJonathan Stewart's office, agency of State Farm Insurance co., claimed that they never received the moneyI emailed them my bank statement showing that the above money was paid on the above dateThey acknowledged they received the moneyOn December 21st, I cancelled the state farm insurance as I was able to get cheaper insuranceI wished to get the pro rated refund on my paymentNow they are declining again that they never received the moneySomeone in that office is a thief

Today is Feb 13, ON NOVEMBER I was hit head on in my brand new truck by a crack head with no insurance in another state My truck was taken to one of State Farm's "preferred providers" for an estimate and repairThe truck was valued at over 40k so the estimate of 22k was nowhere near the 75% they said they needed to total it - EVEN THOUGH the frame was destroyed I was told TWO WEEKS for repairsThey rebuilt the truck on a new frame Then went to work repairing everything I asked repeatedly for the truck to be totalled Even the shop owner told me it would never be the same againThey gave a lowball estimate to get the workNow it has been months and no ETA on my truckI was even told that it was done - drove out of state to get it and the truck wouldn't run So it was taken to another shopthen they failedso it was taken to a F* dealership I can't get updates now - I have no idea where my truck is - and I AM STILL asking for it to be totalled The MONTHS of repairs and multiple shops have no doubt pushed the total far beyond the amount required to total it I was told by the shop owner that "if it were him he'd take it straight and trade it in" We all know it will have problems - but State Farm does not care about the customer At this point if I get it back and it has trouble I will have or shops (in another state) pointing fingers at each other and it will never be resolvedI still do not have my vehiclestill paying insurance and still paying a very large payment for nothingDuring this time State Farm stopped paying for my rental car - I had to put a few thousand dollars of rental expenses on my credit card A week or so ago I called my agent and suddenly state farm claims decided to pay me for a rental car and reimburse meState Farm has been rude, ran me in circles and cost me hours daily of my time trying to get information or get my claim handledI have several houses, my vehicle, motorcycles with State Farm and I always thought I was paying for quality coverage Beware of State Farm

My husband has insurance through his employer which ended in FebruaryWe knew our payments would be very high since he was considered uninsuredWe went through a JUA program paying nearly $a month for full coverage on one vehicle for months expecting our payments to decrease like promised. After the months was over I was contacted by andre at a state farm office (313-817-1001) with ?exciting news?He was able to get the insurance to $a month and we could start 08- I made the 1st payment only to find out he dropped our full coverage to no fault without our knowledgeHe claimed it was an error but still would not correct it and it was the week of our weddingI spoke to the manager Sandy, who accepted the lower payment, changed the policy but said state farm would make up for itShe was buying us time to change/ It was the week of our weddingI don?t like to jump insurance companies; this is causing inquiries on our creditI could not obtain the declaration pa

I was supposed to get a refund for my policy and spoke with Cathy personally who promised to have a check sent right awayIt's nearly a year later and still no refundMy policy has since ended and I've surrendered the platesNo refund issuedTerrible business practices and awful customer service

I purchased a policy from State Farm on 2/9/My credit was run and so was my driving recordMy original quote went from $online to $The representative I spoke to said there would not be any premium changes after that because that was the quote after everything was verifiedNow, I receive an outrageous bill for over $per monthThis is much higher than the car payment itselfI have attached prof of what I originally paid and the enormous increase after the factNow I call my agent to find out more about the increase and they said that although my credit check and driving history were verified, State Farm decided to not honor the 6-month coverage and will be cancelling my policy on April 11thThis is unacceptableThis coverage has been approved at $per month after speaking to a representative and should be honored as to what both parties signedIt is awful that a huge company such as State Farm would scam their customers in this fashion

I was rear-ended on Jan 25, 2018, by a state farm insured and they pushed my vehicle into another vehicleBoth of these were very low impacts, but my front light was smashed so it was a nondriveAll of us pulled over and the cop issued a ticket to their insured I had to call in the claim to get things started and just today (Feb 22, 2018) after I had already gotten a rental and paid for my vehicle's storage and tow back to my house, I get a call not only saying that they would be denying the car in front of me, but also that they are denying paying ANYTHING for my car and can't even confirm that my vehicle was even hitThere Insured pulled over and accepted a ticket and they are denying that he even hit meHeidi F* was the "fantastic" employee for State Farm that explained exactly how they were going to deny paying for anythingSomehow I got rear-ended, their insured admitted to it and got a ticket, and they are denying paying for anythingI would give this business a star rating

I signed up for car insurance in FebruaryI was quoted and paid itReceived my car insurance, everything was greatuntil March when suddenly I'm charged another with no notificationI call up and it turns out they lost my payment and just decided without my permission to put me on a payment plan
So I call to get that money refunded, they find my payment in their system and apply it to my accountThey said they'll have to work with corporate to get me that refund and it could take a few daysCall back days later, they had only applied dollars to my account as a credit, not refunding me the money as I'd asked
Why dollars, you say? Since they'd switched me to a payment plan without my permission I'm now on the hook for the larger amount of that coincides with the payment plan amountEven though I didn't ask for this, wasn't notified about this, anything
I'm angry and will be taking my business elsewhere if this isn't resolved as soon as my insu

In August of 2017, I spoke with a former State Farm agent, Chris Bruce, who was'at the time'apparently in transition out of the company when he handled my accountI spoke with Chris Bruce at that time generally about canceling my insurance on my Volkswagen Beetle, asking him such things as whether or not I could register the car without insurance, ultimately deciding that, since we cannot, I would keep the insurance until I found something cheaperOn October 24th, my dad was pulled over while driving the car and cited for not having insuranceIt was only at this time that I realized the policy had wrongly been cancelled, due to some type of misunderstanding between MrBruce and IHe was no inter an employee at this time, and I spoke with a MrJeremy *** about this, who assured me that audio records of the conversation and other such due diligence would be pursued on his part to see if this could be resolvedTo my knowledge, that was not done as he never referenced any s

Was involved in an accident 1/16/Now February 20, still waiting for payment on car that was totaled due to Their drivers FaultCancelled our rental car January 27th so have already had to buy a car to get to workStill have not contacted us about medical bills and time missed from work due to the accidentAgain, 100% their clients fault for accidentairbags deployed, citation given for running a stop signworst service I've ever seen from an insurance company

HelloToday my local State Farm insurance agent called to inform me that as of Aug 20, State Farm underwriters will not renew auto policy as a result of fender benders in the last years He did mention the possibly of moving my policy from “mutual” to “country” State Farm company at a much higher rateSince 1983, I have been a loyal customer for both home / multi-auto Guess loyalty only works when I pay State Farm money but State Farm does not have to pay me There were no auto claims until recentlySince I am 68, this appears to be age discriminationThe basic concept of insurance is to spread risk over a large diverse pool of peopleThe new “team” concept of customer service has not worked for me It is impossible to return a phone call to the same person, who left a voice message or sent email Then I have to waste minutes explaining my claim Later the person reports that only Catherine can solve my problem but she is not available Or the person has to contract “Total Loss” to locate the contract adjustor, who reported my van as a door cargo van instead of a “loaded” conversion van with windows and doors on each side Clearly he never even looked at my vanThe claim was eventually settled, but it should not have required extra weeks of my time after very unfair initial offer

I sent this to their suggestion boxIt will do nothing there, but I'll post it here to share my experience and hopefully convince people to steer clear of State Farm!
We've submitted a claim with the Texas Board of InsuranceNew flash State Farm: People are sick to death of being treated like gum on your shoeThere's no reason for the treatment people receive from this "business"We left State Farm to look for someone who would treat us with respect, but since we aren't millionaires, I guess we're stuck being treated like a kitten living in a serial killer's childhood homeWe came back to you, and were promptly charged for the time that we DID NOT have coverage with you without our knowledge or consentSo if we'd had an accident in that time, you would have paid the bills?! We both no the answer to that is a resounding "absolutely not"Because of this obscene charge, my account is overdrawn and I suppose I just won't eat until I get paid nextBut you got your unearned money so all is well, huh? I guess State Farm isn't JUST about denying legitimate claims and delaying payment until our tired, two-job-having selves just don't have the energy to try anymore

We have multiple auto and a homeowners policy through our local State Farm agent *** ***On Thursday, Feb 1st, we received a letter in the mail stating that effective in April, of our auto policies would not be renewing due to an accident claim Nov 2016, a towing claim March 2017, and a windshield claim Nov My wife, ***, called and left the office a voicemailI spoke with *** 2/2/and she said *** had filed an appeal for usI was informed this affected all our policies & basically State Farm was dropping usMy wife called, not realizing I had just called, and spoke with ***This time, *** inquired about the March towing claim*** stated she had no info other than it was for the Ford F-*** asked for who the towing company was, that info could not be providedShe asked for the date of the claim, that info could not be providedThe only time we had a car towed was in Nov due to the accidentWe were never paid anything for

on June I called my broker to exclude my nephew from my insurance policybecause he had too many tickets they told me that they will exclude him from my insurance or you will be paying a high premium
I did call the office so many times asking them to remove my nephew from my policy because the premium is too high and I cannot offered it, and every time I call they tell me we did exclude him from your policy
Everything was going okay I was paying for the new policy which it was the premium and I was okay with my payment, then after two months on September I did receive a bill for $1,
I called my insurance why this bill is to high and what is for, they told me because my nephew for the month on June was still on my policy and he need to pay for the month of June,I told my broker I did call your office on June and July, to make sure he is not on my policy and each time I call they tell me we did remove himbut it seems to me no one took care of removing him

Local State Farm Agency (Whitfield Ins and Fin Svcs Inc) at Indianapolis 46204, Lic#: *** INTaking advantage of foreign customersDoes not provide sufficient information when selling a policy, and blames the customer for a job half doneCongratulations on State Farm Indiana to have the worst customer service in the entire United States

I’ve been a State Farm Insurance customer for more than yearsUntil this year, that meant paying the semi-annual billsNo issues, no claims, clean driving recordThis year, I've faced two big insurance mattersThe first matter involved a move, and securing insurance for a new living spaceIt went wellState Farm’s Berwyn, PA branch had my back during a key life change and my gratitude was immenseThen, on September 2017, I experienced a collision, about miles from homeThe State Farm dispatcher told me it's my insurance that's paying because of the street and stop sign configurationThe gist: I thought I had clearance, but the other driver was distracted by a cell phone call and sped up, hit my back right bumper and sent me into a 180-degree spinState Farm said towing the car back to my home area isn't part of my insurance coverageSo I agreed to have it towed to an approved location a few miles from the scene of the accident and figure out how to get homeThe dispatcher was not concerned at all that I was stranded miles from home, at night, after a car crashOver the next hours a State Farm claims office in Arizona would call me more than once to ask me where my car was as they'd been unable to locate itAfter the claims office located the car, an adjuster informed me the damage amounted to a total lossThat information was reversed on Day post-collision—by which time I'd made an appointment with a car salesperson who was delivering a car for me to buyMy own car was repaired after I’d gone thirty (30) days without a car, waiting for itThe body shop did a great job with the car; but how, in the age of apps, doesn’t State Farm either offer options for repairs that take timing into consideration OR arrange to have a rental car for a customer who has an indefinite wait?
I’m now aware that a simple addition of $to the 6-month premium will cover a rental car in case of an accidentWhy isn't that part of the standard coverage? We should all be aware that it isn'tI had to pay a $1,State Farm deductible at the body shop to obtain the carHad State Farm done any serious investigation into the fault of the parties before they took this payment?
When I described the incident by phone to my local State Farm agent soon after it occurred, my agent expressed the view that approaching my financial responsibility fairly, taking account the actions of the other driver, would be part of the resolution to my case(This shouldn't have been difficultState Farm insures the other driver too, so this case isn't pitting companies against each other.)
The other driver was highly apologetic and twice admitted to being distracted by a phone call when the crash happenedNeither of us received a ticketWere the fault clear-cut to the police officer who responded to the scene, one of us would haveIn an e-mail on October, the day I retrieved my car, my local State Farm agent told me that the claims department found me at fault; and in the same e-mail the agent agreed that the other driver could have avoided the collision if not distracted by the cell phoneAs to fault rules, I responded, these vary by state, and the crash happened in Maryland, which follows the contributory negligence ruleThat is, if the other driver contributed in any way to causing this collision, the other driver is disqualified from recovering damagesThe legalities are relevant to the level of diligence I'd expect in State Farm's handling of my case, I wroteMy local agent wrote back with a toll-free corporate number to which I could complain, claiming to be "strictly prohibited from interfering with a claim decision."
Asking one's own local insurance representative to inform the decision makers what happened is interference? What do the decision makers know (if anything) about what happened in this accident? Does customer service exist for a client who has been in a car accident?

I have been harassed for multiple months by State Farm about the over payment mistake that was made by the State Farm adjuster when compensating me for damage to my vehicle I followed the instructions given to me by State Farm exactly I went to the local State Farm adjuster, as instructed, who provided me with a check at the time of the adjustment visit Two weeks later I began receiving multiple letters and phone calls throughout the day, night, and weekends from multiple contacts at State Farm I offered to make a full refund of State Farm's mistake over the phone via credit card and I was refused I offered to send partial payments until the refund was complete and I was told that such was not acceptable and required special approval and processing I was threatened to be sent to “collections” which would cause my credit score to have detrimental results for a mistake made by State Farm I have never received a written apology from State Farm for the mistake or the inconvenience that it has caused me and I have experienced great stress over the level of harassment I have experienced from the State Farms Claims Department Just within the last week I have received three letters and two phone calls from State Farm Claims Department I have mailed full reimbursement of the State Farm mistake to the claims department as of today

I recently changed my life Insurance policy to universal life insuranceAbout two months ago I got letter from StateFarm saying to contact them about universal life Insurance and a credit of on to my life Insurance billSo, I called and scheduled an appointment to meet with *** ***, when I go to meet Mr*** he tells me all about universal life Insurance and asks is it something I would like to try, I said yes then asked about the credit that was mentioned in the letterHe said that it would be credited to my life Insurance bill and that I should see a lower bill for a few months and then my bill will go upSo last month when I received my bill I was a little puzzled that my bill was significantly higher instead being lower like *** said it wouldSo, I call him and the lady who answered the phone told me that *** wasn’t in but he’ll give me a callI ended up emailing him because it was getting closer to my bill being due and I wasn’t sure to pay it or not He emai

I have had State Farm in Charleston, SC with *** *** for almost yearsI have been impressed with the rates and the range of everything State Farm offersThey helped me with my car insurance and offered a great life insurance policy that was affordableI am glad that I decided to make the switch
