I recently purchased a vehicle and days later it was totaled Be prepared as a paying customer to spend numerous days and hours ensuring that all concerned parties are submitting to the right agency/party the proper paperwork to ensure that your claim is in process, from the State Farm claims department to the Insurance adjustor, to the Lien Holder and even the Car Dealer that you received the vehicle from you as a paying customer will have to do all of the groundwork to ensure that they do their jobs This business practice will continue as long as the customer base allow it to happen and not complain to State Farm about these lazy practices In my job when I am hired by someone to do a job I ensure that all concerned parties are notified throughout the process and never go to the person or company that hired me and have them do the groundwork for me I know that in the past when I was a child this process was all handled by your personal agent but throughout the years they have established claims offices that do not process the paperwork to the concerned parties, in my opinion this is lazy business practices, and does not reinforce my expectations of an agency that I pay a lot of money to for insurance I would suggest that you all have a dissemination list or punch list to make sure that everyone in your process is informed instead of coming to me for all of the information, or you all can continue to look inept as if this was the first time you have filed an insurance claim

State Farm Takes no responsibility for a tow service they contracted which lost my vehicle key
On December I was involved in a car accidentHaving State Farm as my insurer I reported the accident to themThey then contracted * *** * Towing to come and tow my car from the accident site to their lotAfter doing so, the tow company lost my car key which they took with the vehicleI reported this to state Farm, as well as the fact that because they hired the to company they were also responsible for the lost keyHowever they refused to do anything to help rectify the situation because they claim that because they did not touch the key personally they weren't responsible for what happened

After my brand new Honda Civic was damaged in a collision, State Farm refused to cover the costs of two electronic assessments that are specifically required by my vehicle manufacturerHonda requires, if any electrical component must be disconnected in order for post-collision repairs to be performed, that the vehicle must undergo a post-repair diagnostic scan to confirm that the previously disconnected electrical components have been reconnected properly and are functioningIn my case, one of the electrical components that had to be disconnected in order for my vehicle to be repaired was a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) sensor, which exists just inches away from the collision-damaged areaThis component is responsible for detecting sudden deceleration in a collisionIt sends a signal to the airbag computer, which determines if an airbag should deploy in a collisionState Farm disregarded the post-repair assessment of this critical life safety component as "unnecessary", even though my vehicle manufacturer required the assessmentAdditionally, Honda required that the front passenger seat weight sensor, another critical life safety component, be assessed "after any collision, regardless of damage, even if no airbags deployed"This sensor controls the passenger’s front airbag operation and the "PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF" indicator, based on the occupant’s weightOnce again, despite the life safety role that this component plays, combined with my vehicle manufacturer's requirement that it be assessed "after any collision, regardless of damage", State Farm disregarded this required assessment as "unnecessary" and refused to cover the costs of any work involved with assessing this componentThis experience has left me highly disappointed with State Farm

This company completely ripped me off We cancelled our insurance before our due day to go with another provider They still took my monthly bill from my checking account which put me into a negative balance They refuse to pay for any overdraft fees I have yet to be credited back the amount that they took
