Aug 14, a semi truck blew a tire in front of us on the expressway and a couple pieces of the tire smashed into our class a motorhome windshield, immediately putting a inch crack in the windshield and popping out the window from the top drivers and passengers side I contacted the national general insurance immediately and did everything the required me to do with submitting pictures and giving them information on what happened A few days later I was told I could take it to the rv body shop to get an estimate, which I did, the body shop did up an estimate for a windshield and gasket, national general denied a new gasket but approved the windshield, and it took them till october 11, to approve it Our windshield was replaced with the damaged gasket, that national general didn't approve and when the windshield replacement was done, there were concerns with the way the windshield looked and we were assured by the body shop that with the gasket being damaged that was norma

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANIES POLICY OF ROBBING YOU OF YOUR MONEY IF YOU CANCEL EARLYITS UNJUST BECAUSE IF YOU GO ELSEWHERE TO SAVE THEY HIT YOU FOR THE MONTHS YOU AREN'T GOING TO NEED!
The night I was sold this policy the salesperson never mentioned to me something very important and that was that if I was to cancel this policy before the full term that I would be charged a penalty of 10% of the unused premiumI didn't receive my policy papers until a couple of days later through mail to where it shows this penalty on the LAST pageI only received temporary insurance cards at the momentIt was between 9:30-10:00pm after buying my new vehicleThen the salesman sits me at this young ladies desk to see if she can save me on my auto insurance and I was hesitant since I was with my current insurance company for many yearsShe said it would only take a few minutesWell to make a long story short, I was there for almost an hourYes, my mistake was not reading the long policy which was on her computer screen not on paper and it being almost 11:00pm when I was anxious to leave already
So now I cancel my policy after months forgetting about this penalty and they're hitting me with of almost $I called the agency that sold me the policy and basically they say its National General who charges this feeI called National and complained that they never told me this when selling me the policy the way they did and to me thats fraudulent for not disclosing it verballyNational's reply is that its company policy and they can't do anything for meWHAT GREAT CUSTOMER RELATIONS! HOW CAN YOU BE ABLE TO TAKE SOMEONES MONEY FOR SOMETHING YOU'RE NOT USING

I have been an insurance agent since and I have never done with a more unprofessional and rude company in my careerMy sister was rear-ended by a drunk driver with no lights in a vehicle insured by this companyThe driver fled the scene and had to be located by neighborhood securityThe police were called and a report filedThere was enough damage to knock the bumper nearly off the insured vehicleIt would seem like an open and shut caseWe were made aware something was wrong when my mother, who never filed a claim, received a denial letterThe company said it was denied due to "low impact" I called a spoke to a supervisor and was told it would be reviewed as I did not believe that it could be called "low impact" if it was enough impact to knock a bumper almost offWhen the supervisor called he advised me the accident never happened and said that my family made up the accident and picked their insured driver out of all of the driver's in Durham, NC to blame it onIt is now being review by a manager and I have reported them to the department of insurance

I have had a great experience with the Representative I talked with

months after being in a car accident with their insured (they accepted full responsibility), the customer service has been horrible and purposely overly complicated
At the moment I'm dealing with a "diminished value claim" in which I have have been constantly been given informationSince the beginning of this ordeal I have informed the agent and the adjuster that as an active duty soldier stationed at Fort Bragg I truly need to resolve this situation prior to my next deployment/ and or trainingWith this in mind I feel they are dragging their feet in the hopes I leave and can not complete my claim (I was falsely told their is not statue of limitation for diminished value claims in NC by the adjuster)

My sons car was stolen on 12/24/16, we called into the insurance company and got the claim number and the person who we were to speak toOn Tuesday I called and she informed me that she was not the person who was handling this caseSo after days of calling I finally got the correct adjusterI informed him that the car was recovered on 12/26/and he gave me a stock number of where the vehicle was gonna go toI have called everyday since and his reply to me is he has no idea of when they will be able to look at the car and that he send everything involving this claim to higher managementHere it is 01/06/and I have gotten nowhere with this company, no return calls from the agent, or the supervisors

I would not recommend this insurance agency to ANYONEI do not have any points on my license nor any accidents and my insurance is almost $200, I was recently involved in an accident on 1/12/2018, which I was not at fault, other driver failed to stop at a stop sign however, I am getting the short end of the stick, I guess because him and I have the same insurance company, so they don't want to lose too much moneyThey filed two claims, which it was only suppose to be one, causing me to have claim numbers, my case has been bounced around from person to person without my knowledge, I call one person, they tell me "no your case has been moved to someone else" however NO ONE FROM THE INSURANCE COMPANY HAS CALLED TO TELL ME ANYTHING! The total lost guy that was assigned to my case, was a total nonchalant unprofessional ***, I told him I was upset with how the company was treating me and would look at other insurance companies he told me "that's good", when you are in an accident the LAST THING you need or want to deal with is an insurance company who is INCOMPETENT AND UNPROFESSIONAL! will be filing a formal complaint to any and everywhere I can

I rented my RV and it was damaged during that time period I obtained a quote at $from *** Marine The quote cost would go towards the repairs to the RV Later, a dispute between *** Marine and National General regarding cost of the repairs I was asked by the Claims Adjuster to utilize a new company called *** and *** and if I chose someone in their network I would be refunded the $estimate cost
After contacting National General, I was informed they would not cover the cost They reviewed their recorded messages that only dated back day
Keep in mind that the repair took months to complete
I do have an email support for the argument between *** Marine and National General In addition, I have email verification that suggest utilizing *** and *** in support

Beware This is the worst insurance company that you can deal I'm current customer but after the only 1st claim with them I dont this I will give my business and $$ to this insurance company Their rep (*** ***- chicago/IL) sold me a full cover without going over special endorsment that they offer EOM, COUPLE MGE Andrew and schmit called me from nsisting that I did not purchase and they dont qant to admit the mislead of their rep and refuaed to come half way or owner me EOM since it was the faul of their rep not to offer it or even go over it with me as all what they care how National general save money they do 't care about new car has 8K+ mile new car to be fixed to the prelost conditionAndrew keep saying they will fix it to the pre lost condition I told him today that is NOT True - another mislead since you are insisting not to pay for origeneal part which was on the car prior to the accisent he refused to transfer me to higher mgmt and refuaed to pay for the origenal parts Beaware of insurance tricks and wording if you are like me a simple citizen nit an insurance expert This company need to know that they have irresponsible managers representetives and agents You are just a horriible company to deal with
