This insurance company does not honor their insurance contractI wasted the money that I spent on the insurance I purchased for my furniture
In October of I purchased a sectional couch from Value City FurnitureI also purchased insurance coverage from Uniters insurance to cover the couch for a number of issues for years from purchase dateThe insurance covers a number of things, including the accidental puncture of the leather on the couchMy couch, being bonded leather, is subject to cracking, which uniters does not coverOn 5/13/2017, on my birthday, I had my family overMy young niece on this date found a steak knife from under my couch, and punctured both pieces of my sectional couchI filed a claim with united for repair of these punctures, and they denied the claim with the following response:
Dear *** ***,
The photos that were submitted reflect an accumulation of damages on your furnitureAccording to the terms and the conditions of your warrant

Very happy customer-claim was processed quickly and no hassle

Made a warranty claim on a couch that is peeling They denied my claim stating accumulation of damagesI filed a claims dispute Not resolved
Purchased couch and love seat($1789.98)& warranty($199.98) from Value City Furniture September 13, Over Thanksgiving weekend 11/XXXX, noticed the peeling on the leather sofaOn Dec2, I notified Uniters (warranty provider) of the problemI was provided a claim #CXXXXXXXI was advised someone would contact me to schedule an inspection of the sofa 12/4/got a call to schedule, but only dates were available 12/& 12/31/I was not available for either date & they could not schedule past the end of Dec I then got a call on 12/14/to set up for 1/7/On that date, inspector came and referred to the damage as blistering, took pictures and explained that section of the leather sofa would need replaced He stated he would be the one to do the work and someone from Uniters would call on 1/or 1/to schedul

Pretty sure this company openly commits fraudWe tried to process a warranty claim, after denial we were then were told we could disputed the warranty which we did claim clearly showing we should be covered under the literature and documentation providedThey wouldn't hear it, I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't a class action lawsuit against this company or if one should be made against them

Wooden table was accidentally scratched, the damage is covered under the Uniters plan, I filed a dispute, and it was rejected
I purchased a wooden dining room table set with the year indoor protection plan from UnitersI accidentally scratched the top of the table and left marks into the surfaceI filed a claim and a dispute when my claim was rejected for "vandalism"My dispute was also rejected because Uniters states the the damage is not covered in my planThis is not true, as the plan states: "Surface damages resulting from: Accidental rips, tears, burns and punctures; accidental scratch, gouge, chip, puncture or dent that penetrate the top coat of hard surface finish"The customer service representative assumed that the marks were vandalism and created by neglect of the furnitureThey completely dismissed my explanation of the marks being caused by accidentThey are not following their protection plan and are changing the wording of what was caused to the furnitureThei

Failure to Apply Warranty - Trying to Use Technicality and Bad Customer Service to Deny Coverage
I purchased a *** bed frame at *** in April The purchase included a seven year warranty for repairing or replacing the bed and its frameLast week I reached out to *** to report structural damages to the bed, issues with the joints and screws in it, peeling paint and cracks in several parts of the bed*** instructed me to call Worry No More to use my warrantyAssociates at worry no more questionned me about the warranty and argued that because I moved that my warranty is no longer validWhen asking to speak to a manager or representative, the company denied my request, a senior manager told me that she would get back to me but never respondedAn inspector is supposed to come out to view the damages and assess the bed, but this request was denied tooAt this point, I want a voucher for the cost of the bed - this wooden model is damaged beyond repairThe wooden sla

They are not honoring the warranty we paid for
We purchased the warranty on 12/6/for a year warrantyDuring two phone calls today, it was explained that damage happened within the past two weeks and also a year and six months agoThey put in a claim, excluding the incident that happened within the past two weeks and denied our claim stating they will not pay for the damageWe have been dealing with this for over a week now, talking to multiple employees who give you different stories and lie to youIts almost impossible to get a supervisor on the phoneStill have yet to speak with oneJust overall very dissatisfied with every aspect of the company but especially that we paid for something and they will not honor their part of it nowFeels like they are just a scam and sell you services which they never intend to actually provide

Denied legitimate claim
I filed a claim with Uniters on 5/25/for a tear in the foot rest of the chase section of my leather couch A technician was sent out and he indicated that he could not repair the tear He said the whole section would have to be recovered He never mentioned he thought it was caused by a pet The claim was then denied because someone concluded that the ambiguous tear was the result of "pet damage" The hole is small (1/4" in diameter) with no scratches or claw marks anywhere around it, anywhere on the furniture, or anywhere in my entire house to lead them to believe it was caused by a pet I have asked them to tell me what piece of evidence led them to the conclusion that the damage was pet related They have been unable to tell me specifically what that wasSince damage by a pet is the one case where they can deny the claim, I believe they chose that as the cause when no logical person could reach that conclusion based on looking at the damage

This company is a joke and they make Macy's look really badTheir standard response is "there is nothing we can do"What a scam!

I would not recommend purchasing this warranty on your furniture This company will do everything in its power to not cover your claim I recently put in a claim for a seam that has come undone and I got a response back that this and punctures are not a covered benefit of the plan Really? According to the literature I received it states, under section "structural failures", "seam and stiching seperation; zippers, buttons and tufted buttons;" Then, under accidental damage, "accidental rips, tears, burns, and punctures" This was not inexpensive and I believe it is a scam to get your money

Company sent tech to my home and was told my furniture would be repaired within two weeksThree weeks later I was told no it would not be repaired
On 9/6/a tech from Uniters came to my home to look at my fireplace tv standIt has a gouge and some small scratchesThe pamphlet states gouges and scratches are covered under warranty The tech said no problem it would be fixed in two weeks when he ordered a new door only if they had any in stockHe said they may not have any as the model was two years old On the 28th of September I received an email stating it would not be fixed because the damage occurred while moving No where in the phamplet does it state thatI immediately emailed back because I had days to dispute the decisionOn the 17th of October I received a letter by postal mail back dated October 10th that they still refuse to fix itClaim number CXXXXXXX

The company purposely made a decision that would void my warranty, now they wont honor what I purchased
Two years ago I purchased a couch and loveseat from *** CityWith that purchase, I purchased a year warranty on those itemsDuring this time the furniture has been okay with a few issues reclining here and there
On 2/I contacted the warranty company about the couch and loveseatThe reclining backs are starting to leanThey are not broken simply leaningThey representative told me that it was much easier if I filed the claim online and added picturesI obliged because it was not "broken"I was not in a rushI told her it would be a few days but I would file the claim online after I took pictures
Fast forward days, I finally am able to submit the claim online, and its immediately deniedA question online is when did you "start" to notice the damageAgain, My furniture is not broken it simple seems that overtime the furniture is not as stableI cannot

Paid The Design Center in Orange CAapproximately $for two warranties with Uniters North America LLC Absolutely worthless Took months, numerous faxes and emails only to have a con man come to my house with absolutely nothing to work with except a cell phone I had spilled nail polish (covered according to the manager)
Scratches (again covered) and a motor that was no longer working The con man took a power cord from another part of the sectional and applied it to the none working recliner and it worked Of course I didn't see him switch it until after he was goneHe took pictures and then said he would send them to the service center I don't know why, everything was covered according to the service manager when I first called Uniters, I was told that because the damage had occurred more than days before I reported it, the whole warranty was null and void The con man then closed my claim saying that every problem fell within manufacturing standardsIf anyone ever insists for your own good that you purchase a warranty from these thieves, run Go to another store

Claim XXXXXXX, Filed claim which was originally deniedI contacted Uniters on 11/15/17, and eventually spoke with *** He approved the claim on 11/16, which I truly appreciatedI did not hear from anyone for an appointmentOn 12/7/17, I went out of the countryon a missionary trip, and I did not return until 12/22/ I called the Independent Contractor during the holidays, but they were closedI then called twice in January, last week, and today (2/12/18), I left messages each timeI finally called back to Uniters today, 2/12/2018, to see what was up with the Independent Contractor I was told that the claim was closed because I failed to contact Uniters within days of not hearing from the Independent Contractor???? I asked to speak with a Supervisor, and I spoke with Allen again I was told that the Independent Contractor called me on 12/18, and they closed the claim on 12/ Unfortunately, I was out of the country, and the Independent Contractor did not leave a message Nor, was I ever advised the claim was closed or that I have to contact them within days I requested the complete warranty which *** said I should have received with the furniture delivery but, I never did*** then told me that I was contacted via emailWhen he gave me the email address they had, I told him they had the wrong email address*** said this was Macys fault; not theirsHowever, I have an email from Macys which reflects the correct address More importantly, I just contacted Macy's again, and I was advised that per the warranty, there was a day window in which I need to contact 'Worrynomore" AKA Uniters in case the technician does not repair the productThis means that since I received the approval on 11/16/2017, Uniters must be contacted by 02/16/ Of course, this is different than the days I was told To make matters worse, I have a copy of the warranty AND I read everything on Uniter's websiteThere is no statement or information about days or daysI was making a good faith effort to deal with the Independent Contractor I have other warranties where repairmen did not contact me right away, I normally try to be patient as I realize I'm not the only customerI also explained I have dealing with the recent death of my mother and issues with her estate *** was very nice, but unfortunately, he said there is nothing he can do to assist meI'm requesting the approval be honored and my $sofa be cleaned

I purchased the 7-year Worry No More warranty on a coffee table on 2/04/from Macy's FurnitureOn 03/19/while trying to install our new flat screen TV we set it on the coffee table and when we went to lift it up it was too heavy and left a deep scratch on the surface of the woodAccording to my warranty "scratches penetrating through the top coat finish" of wood are coveredThey sent our a 3rd party furniture repair company whose technician told them there "was an accumulation of damages to the furniture"This was not true, it is a polished wood table so in direct sunlight you can see swirls and very light scratching from use but that is not something I would ever consider damage but just put a layer of polish on and it would be taken care ofIt was the deep, penetrating scratch for which I was filing a claimI explained this all in my letter which I was told to do for my appealI also included picturesAll of this was done on 04/11/I received an email response t

We have a warranty for a leather sofa with this companyWe filed a claim, which was ACCEPTEDAfter we were sent the wrong piece it is now denied
We purchased a leather sectional couch from a nationally recognized furniture store in February Along with that we purchased a Pure Promise 5-Year Worry-Free Warranty through Uniters North America ("Uniters NA")In August we realized our couch had been stuck to the wall and upon pulling away the paint from the wall adhered to of the leather backs of the sectional piecesWe immediately filed a claim with Uniters NA and they sent out someone to remedy the situation with cleaningIt was determined that the wall paint completely adhered to the leather and it was un-fixableTherefore the representative told us the claim was covered under our warranty (we received a letter accepting the claim on 9/22/15) and that he would order the replacement backs for the leather sofa (Chaise back and armless chair postion back; piece

Uniters refuses to approve my claims (CXXXXXXX) with unethical and deceitful explanations
On May 9th, 2016, I submitted a claim to Uniters for my sectional that was purchased at Value City on 8/31/I had accidental punctures to an armless seat and peeling and cracking on the top section of the consoleA technician came to the house on 5/21/and glued the puncturesUpon inspecting the console, he stated "this is all junk, it's plastic, this sectional is vinyl, this happens all the time to this material", he also stated "cracking and peeling isn't fixable"He attempted to add paint to a couple areas but basically said it's not worth it
In July 2015, I had submitted a claim to address the cracking and peeling that was occurring to seats and headrests and was informed by Uniters that "cracking and peeling in the seating areas is not a covered item on bonded leather" and further explained that seating areas are defined as all areas where body touches the furniture such a

Uniters will not honor the warranty that was purchased from them for a covered occurrence
A claim was filed regarding our kitchen table and the six chairs that accompany it There are what look like small watermarks on the top surface of the table and backs of the chairs A technician was sent to the house and inspected the furniture and suggested that it be replaced He noted the stains were unable to be cleaned or wiped off and that refinishing the surfaces would be too expensive and time consuming and that replacement would be the best course of action The claim was denied stating the stains were an "accumulation" of stainsThe consistency and uniformity of these stains show they could not have accumulated over timeI purchased the table & chairs (model # DXXX-XX) on 2/2/from furniture merchandise outlet along with a year warranty from uniters for $The table & chairs cost $without tax & warrantyThe warranty states that "all accidental stains are covered" an

Never do business with this companyThey deny coverage even when it clearly states in their contract that the problem is coveredThey refuse to send someone to even check to see if the damage is coveredThey rely on poor quality photos to make decisions if they will cover a problemWe purchased expensive furniture from Macys and were told that any form of damage is coveredIn the brochure, it confirms thisWhen we had damage to the surface of the night table they based coverage over the phone on the description of exact description of damage and refused to cover based on thatAfter hour on the phone waiting for a supervisor, they then required a poor quality photo to justify coverageThis is the worst company to deal with and we would never do business with them or Macys

I bought a warranty with them when I bought my furniture and I opened a claim with them and they will not fix the furniture
I bought several pieces of furniture in Novand purchased the warranty with my furniture I opened a claim with Uniters on 11/3/because of a family get together where the dining room table and chairs became damaged with scratches and the glass on the table got chipped I also noticed at that time the love seat had stitches pulling apartIn the months that I had a claim open with them, they had to send representatives out to look at the furniture because they could not get the report from the first representative I had to call them to get an update each time because they would not provide me one on their own After the last representative cam out I had to call them again to get an update on my claim at which point I was told that they would not cover it because it was an accumulation of damages and they would not cover it because it seemed lik
