Uniter's has failed to meet the Worry No More contract requirements for my sofa
Brown Leather sofa (non-removable sofa cushions) was purchased for $1,on 9/15/at Macy's with a $Worry No More year furniture contract Order # XXXXXXXX from Salesperson Fiora Constantini Paid via MasterCard Warranty Certificate # XXXXXXX
On 1/4/I filed claim # CXXXXXXX with Uniter's Insurance due to 'possible' spring or structural issues on the right side of the sofa An audible spring-like popping sound is heard when sitting on the sofa and a slight deprivation in the sofa is visibleBased on a phone discussion with customer service, they stated the sofa is covered under the warranty and scheduled a service technical to come to my house on 1/18/ On 1/18/I receive a call in the morning stating the technician was sick and had to reschedule I already took a day off from work that was lost They rescheduled for 1/20/
The technician arrived on
Someone's jeans scratched my beautiful bench I purchased from Macy'sI wasn't worried about it because I had purchased the Uniters North America warrantyI filed a claim, got an email that I would hear back in daysDid not hear back for a couple weeksWhen the service men showed up, they took some photos of the scratchesThen I got an email that my claim was "denied" because of an "accumulation of damages." That phrase it total ***There were scratches because the person who sat there got up and downIt's a total cop out claim that gets this company out of withholding their warranty promiseLuckily for me I called Macy's customer service and complained about the entire interactionMacy's must have gotten these complaints a lot because they refunded me a large portion of what I paid for the warrantyAdvice to others: DO NOT BUY THE WARRANTYThis company is unprofessional, late, unreliable, and totally unethicalSave your money

On 12/12/2013, I purchased a dual recliner-sofa-setIn addition to this, I bought a 7-year protection plan for this product At the time of purchasing, I paid $for such warranty The warranty will cover any damage, and knowing the dual recliner is a expensive set we decided to purchase that extra protection investment
Now years after the purchase, we had a problem with one of the recliners seat, the motor failed to bring the seat into a resting positionSo we decided to inform "Worrynomore" (company in charge of our warranty)We informed the company exactly the day after the motor had failed They sent a inspector to check the problems in my sofa se
I would not recommend purchasing this warranty on your furniture This company will do everything in its power to not cover your claim I recently put in a claim for a seam that has come undone and I got a response back that this and punctures are not a covered benefit of the plan Really? According to the literature I received it states, under section "structural failures", "seam and stiching seperation; zippers, buttons and tufted buttons;" Then, under accidental damage, "accidental rips, tears, burns, and punctures" This was not inexpensive and I believe it is a scam to get your money
Failure to Apply Warranty - Trying to Use Technicality and Bad Customer Service to Deny Coverage
I purchased a *** bed frame at *** in April The purchase included a seven year warranty for repairing or replacing the bed and its frameLast week I reached out to *** to report structural damages to the bed, issues with the joints and screws in it, peeling paint and cracks in several parts of the bed*** instructed me to call Worry No More to use my warrantyAssociates at worry no more questionned me about the warranty and argued that because I moved that my warranty is no longer validWhen asking to speak to a manager or representative, the company denied my request, a senior manager told me that she would get back to me but never respondedAn inspector is supposed to come out to view the damages and assess the bed, but this request was denied tooAt this point, I want a voucher for the cost of the bed - this wooden model is damaged beyond repairThe wooden sla
Denied legitimate claim
I filed a claim with Uniters on 5/25/for a tear in the foot rest of the chase section of my leather couch A technician was sent out and he indicated that he could not repair the tear He said the whole section would have to be recovered He never mentioned he thought it was caused by a pet The claim was then denied because someone concluded that the ambiguous tear was the result of "pet damage" The hole is small (1/4" in diameter) with no scratches or claw marks anywhere around it, anywhere on the furniture, or anywhere in my entire house to lead them to believe it was caused by a pet I have asked them to tell me what piece of evidence led them to the conclusion that the damage was pet related They have been unable to tell me specifically what that wasSince damage by a pet is the one case where they can deny the claim, I believe they chose that as the cause when no logical person could reach that conclusion based on looking at the damage
Pretty sure this company openly commits fraudWe tried to process a warranty claim, after denial we were then were told we could disputed the warranty which we did claim clearly showing we should be covered under the literature and documentation providedThey wouldn't hear it, I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't a class action lawsuit against this company or if one should be made against them
The company purposely made a decision that would void my warranty, now they wont honor what I purchased
Two years ago I purchased a couch and loveseat from *** CityWith that purchase, I purchased a year warranty on those itemsDuring this time the furniture has been okay with a few issues reclining here and there
On 2/I contacted the warranty company about the couch and loveseatThe reclining backs are starting to leanThey are not broken simply leaningThey representative told me that it was much easier if I filed the claim online and added picturesI obliged because it was not "broken"I was not in a rushI told her it would be a few days but I would file the claim online after I took pictures
Fast forward days, I finally am able to submit the claim online, and its immediately deniedA question online is when did you "start" to notice the damageAgain, My furniture is not broken it simple seems that overtime the furniture is not as stableI cannot
They are not honoring the warranty we paid for
We purchased the warranty on 12/6/for a year warrantyDuring two phone calls today, it was explained that damage happened within the past two weeks and also a year and six months agoThey put in a claim, excluding the incident that happened within the past two weeks and denied our claim stating they will not pay for the damageWe have been dealing with this for over a week now, talking to multiple employees who give you different stories and lie to youIts almost impossible to get a supervisor on the phoneStill have yet to speak with oneJust overall very dissatisfied with every aspect of the company but especially that we paid for something and they will not honor their part of it nowFeels like they are just a scam and sell you services which they never intend to actually provide
Wooden table was accidentally scratched, the damage is covered under the Uniters plan, I filed a dispute, and it was rejected
I purchased a wooden dining room table set with the year indoor protection plan from UnitersI accidentally scratched the top of the table and left marks into the surfaceI filed a claim and a dispute when my claim was rejected for "vandalism"My dispute was also rejected because Uniters states the the damage is not covered in my planThis is not true, as the plan states: "Surface damages resulting from: Accidental rips, tears, burns and punctures; accidental scratch, gouge, chip, puncture or dent that penetrate the top coat of hard surface finish"The customer service representative assumed that the marks were vandalism and created by neglect of the furnitureThey completely dismissed my explanation of the marks being caused by accidentThey are not following their protection plan and are changing the wording of what was caused to the furnitureThei
This company is a joke and they make Macy's look really badTheir standard response is "there is nothing we can do"What a scam!
Paid The Design Center in Orange CAapproximately $for two warranties with Uniters North America LLC Absolutely worthless Took months, numerous faxes and emails only to have a con man come to my house with absolutely nothing to work with except a cell phone I had spilled nail polish (covered according to the manager)
Scratches (again covered) and a motor that was no longer working The con man took a power cord from another part of the sectional and applied it to the none working recliner and it worked Of course I didn't see him switch it until after he was goneHe took pictures and then said he would send them to the service center I don't know why, everything was covered according to the service manager when I first called Uniters, I was told that because the damage had occurred more than days before I reported it, the whole warranty was null and void The con man then closed my claim saying that every problem fell within manufacturing standardsIf anyone ever insists for your own good that you purchase a warranty from these thieves, run Go to another store
Company sent tech to my home and was told my furniture would be repaired within two weeksThree weeks later I was told no it would not be repaired
On 9/6/a tech from Uniters came to my home to look at my fireplace tv standIt has a gouge and some small scratchesThe pamphlet states gouges and scratches are covered under warranty The tech said no problem it would be fixed in two weeks when he ordered a new door only if they had any in stockHe said they may not have any as the model was two years old On the 28th of September I received an email stating it would not be fixed because the damage occurred while moving No where in the phamplet does it state thatI immediately emailed back because I had days to dispute the decisionOn the 17th of October I received a letter by postal mail back dated October 10th that they still refuse to fix itClaim number CXXXXXXX
The company is not honoring the protection plan for my sofa as stated in the terms and agreements of the contract
On 11/11/I bought a Flexsteel reclining sofa from Cardi's Furniture model XXXXXXXXX X Brown Sugar for At that time I bought a yeatr protection plan for
On 12/31/I reported a claim to Uniters *** for a tear in the seat coverThe sent a technician form Black Tie Manchester NH to repairHe determined I needed a seat coverThe part was orderedIn February The part was received Style ***The Black Tie technician returned and determined the part was not correctHe took photos and material from the existing sofaHe reordered the partIn April the part was receivedIt was exactly the same ***In *** the Black Tie technician returnedHe confirm this was the same material and it did not match the sofaHe referred me to Uniters Rep *** that told me if I refused installation the claim would be closed
I purchased the 7-year Worry No More warranty on a coffee table on 2/04/from Macy's FurnitureOn 03/19/while trying to install our new flat screen TV we set it on the coffee table and when we went to lift it up it was too heavy and left a deep scratch on the surface of the woodAccording to my warranty "scratches penetrating through the top coat finish" of wood are coveredThey sent our a 3rd party furniture repair company whose technician told them there "was an accumulation of damages to the furniture"This was not true, it is a polished wood table so in direct sunlight you can see swirls and very light scratching from use but that is not something I would ever consider damage but just put a layer of polish on and it would be taken care ofIt was the deep, penetrating scratch for which I was filing a claimI explained this all in my letter which I was told to do for my appealI also included picturesAll of this was done on 04/11/I received an email response t
Assured by Value City Furniture I was covered for yearsA complete scam and useless warranty
I purchased my set of couches from Value City years ago with an extended warranty from UNITERS PUREI was assured that I was fully covered ant what was not covered was ware to the cushionsI received a very simple pamphlet and nothing else from VCFOn 4/29/17, I noticed several rips on the back of the cushions that are attached to the frameI immediately filed a claim (***) and received an email asking for photos which I submitted that same eveningToday, I receive an email denying my claim because to them it "appears" to be seam separation which I'm learning is not coveredI wish I knew about the plus Revdex.com complaints and I would have never invested my hard earned money at VCF and this scamI call the store and I'm told it states "accidental " rips, tears, etcHow can they determine this was not accidental by just looking at pictures? I reported as soon as I noti
Uniters will not honor the warranty that was purchased from them for a covered occurrence
A claim was filed regarding our kitchen table and the six chairs that accompany it There are what look like small watermarks on the top surface of the table and backs of the chairs A technician was sent to the house and inspected the furniture and suggested that it be replaced He noted the stains were unable to be cleaned or wiped off and that refinishing the surfaces would be too expensive and time consuming and that replacement would be the best course of action The claim was denied stating the stains were an "accumulation" of stainsThe consistency and uniformity of these stains show they could not have accumulated over timeI purchased the table & chairs (model # DXXX-XX) on 2/2/from furniture merchandise outlet along with a year warranty from uniters for $The table & chairs cost $without tax & warrantyThe warranty states that "all accidental stains are covered" an
I put a claim in for my furniture They are not fulfilling my claim
I put in claims for my loveseat and one for my couch They approved the loveseat for replacement but never contacted the store I purchased from to let them know the status They denied the claim for my couch They blamed it on pet damage I have pictures showing the recliners are broken, this is not pet damage The couch has a scratch on it from my dogs I didn't submit a claim for that They techinian did not look at what he was suppose too My furniture is a little over a year old and completely fell apart
I am shocked that anyone had a good experience with this company! They are a complete waste of money and honestly I will not shop with any company (Value City Furniture in my example) that uses them My month old table got a few scratches in it which were covered under the warranty that I purchased because I knew that today's cheaper furniture will scratch easily
They refused to even try to fix it and instead gave me days to find a new table or take a tiny sum of money in return The trouble is that I bought a high-top table and chairs and now Value City didn't have any in the same color So I was forced to take the tiny sum and keep my scratched table
days after this I am still waiting for my tiny check The customer service there is not nice or helpful I paid $for my table, $for the warranty and am getting a check for under $to find a replacement on my own
What a scam!
