On 12/31/I reported a claim to Uniters *** for a tear in the seat coverThe sent a technician form Black Tie Manchester NH to repairHe determined I needed a seat coverThe part was orderedIn February The part was received Style ***The Black Tie technician returned and determined the part was not correctHe took photos and material from the existing sofaHe reordered the partIn April the part was receivedIt was exactly the same ***In *** the Black Tie technician returnedHe confirm this was the same material and it did not match the sofaHe referred me to Uniters Rep *** that told me if I refused installation the claim would be closed

Complete scamAttempted to file a claim within the year warrantyfurniture delivered on 7/1/11, called 7/1/and they stated it expired the day beforeThat is one day shy of yearsThey refused to file a claim

I am shocked that anyone had a good experience with this company! They are a complete waste of money and honestly I will not shop with any company (Value City Furniture in my example) that uses them My month old table got a few scratches in it which were covered under the warranty that I purchased because I knew that today's cheaper furniture will scratch easily
They refused to even try to fix it and instead gave me days to find a new table or take a tiny sum of money in return The trouble is that I bought a high-top table and chairs and now Value City didn't have any in the same color So I was forced to take the tiny sum and keep my scratched table
days after this I am still waiting for my tiny check The customer service there is not nice or helpful I paid $for my table, $for the warranty and am getting a check for under $to find a replacement on my own
What a scam!

I put a claim in for my furniture They are not fulfilling my claim
I put in claims for my loveseat and one for my couch They approved the loveseat for replacement but never contacted the store I purchased from to let them know the status They denied the claim for my couch They blamed it on pet damage I have pictures showing the recliners are broken, this is not pet damage The couch has a scratch on it from my dogs I didn't submit a claim for that They techinian did not look at what he was suppose too My furniture is a little over a year old and completely fell apart

REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT COVERAGE: This Plan provides for

After awhile I had a rip, a technician came and I was supposed to wait three months for parts
After month or so received email declining my warranty based on the cracking/peeling that had nothing to do with the rip
I won't dispute because I'm so tired of it
But i'll make sure to alert whoever I can and

Extended warranty sham
We bought the sofa & an extended warranty from *** about years ago We filed a claim in Dec due to a crack on the headrest Uniters sent a tech; they took a photo since he was not able to fix the sofa The claim was denied; the reasoning provided by Uniters that it is not covered by the warrantyThat was not what was told to us when we bought it & the damage to the sofa was not done to any fault of our own

Limited Warranty states "If the leather, vinyl or leather-touch should accidentally be damaged from a rip, tear, or burn, the Administrators will have the affected area repaired by an authorized leather technician."

This company will not honor the warranty for a damaged sofa that we purchased
We purchased leather sofas from Value City Furniture, along with a warranty from Uniters North America, LLC One of our children accidentally scratched one of the sofas with a toy in his pocket, causing it to tear The warranty clearly covers this, but the company is denying the warranty stating, "Based on the terms and condition of your warranty your claim is not covered due to scratches/scrapes on leather are not covered The photos you submitted reflects damage that appears to be cracking on the leather Neither cracking or scrapes are covered."
They are making their decision solely off of the photo I submitted and refuses to come see that the damage is not a crack, but a scratch & tear They are intentionally avoiding the warranty, defrauding me, the customer, and likely countless more

Never received detailed information on the warranty, now the warranty is no good because I did not reach out within days of stain

I purchased a leather sectional from Macy's a year and a half ago and bought the warranty service which I seldom doI had a problem with one sectionFor some reason, the top layer was peelingI contacted Macy's and Uniters, took pictures and was contacted within hours with an appointment for a repair service callThe technician was a "miracle worker"! He really cared about the job he was doing and wanted me to be happy with the results and I certainly was! They are a contracted with Value City Furniture to provide warranty on damaged furnitureI purchased furniture last year and purchased a year warranty with my furniture I was promised that if my furniture was damaged, it would either be repaired or replacedWell this year I noticed some spots on my sofa and table and decided to place the claim I went to Uniters site, created my account and filed a claimI waited patiently for a few weeks for a response only to get an email stating that my furniture will not be covered due to the filing time There is no contact information on their siteI recently come to find out from consumer complaints that they not only deny claims, but will intentionally ignore claims until they are outside of their "timely filing limit" based on the date of the seen damageI just either want them to honor what I paid for, or they should not be in business

So I called to file a claim on furniture we had purchased in the past.The furniture was under my brother name since he paid for it.The representative said I would need to call back when he was with me so he could tell them it is okay to speak to me on his behalf.I called back the following week and a different representative said they would need to speak with him to verify who he is.He has disabilities and needs help with answering questions.I told the lady on the phone his home address since he can't remember it.She basically said since I answered for him and since he can't verify the email address on his own they can't file the claim.Then they ask for documentation that I am his POA.He doesn't have a POA and is emancipated.So since I helped him answer the questions they are unable to do my claim.I have never had this much trouble with any warranty

I purchased a sofa with a year warranty from American Signature Furniture in The warranty, serviced by Uniters, was to protect against stains, rips and tears in the sofa from accidents and wear and tear within the specified time frameFour years after purchasing the sofa, the fabric began to disintegrate in some areas resulting in rips in the fabricThe warranty brochure states that the purchased fabric guard warranty would protect the fabric from wearing over time due to the protectionWhen I submitted a claim upon finding the rips in October 2016, Uniters representative, Jessica, said the warranty did not cover the claimThis complaint is against Uniters for not fulfilling their warranty agreement
