I was told at the time of purchase that if I had an issue that the information could be pulled up in their system. I do have a bank statement that shows the purchase, pictures of the battery purchased from Advance Auto Parts, test result of battery from the dealership, and receipt for new battery. KIA Service Center insists on the cause of the damaged timing belt, engine valves was due to the failed water pump purchased from Advance Auto Parts not because of any wrong work performed by KIAThe reason why the timing belt and its related parts such as water pump were changed in so that what happened now would not happen for at least 70K milesHowever, it has been only 20K miles since thenKIA Service Center completely blames on the failed water pump and claims Advance Auto Parts should be responsible for the labor and parts for this extensive and expensive repair. Therefore I should be reimbursed for the cost by Advance Auto Parts

The 20% off that the retailer claims to have sent me 'for the troubles' was a limited offer which would have forced me to make a purchase within hoursA fact they 'conveniently' left out of their responseIt reeks of the same kind chicanery involved in the Speed Perks shell gameToo many numbers and 'gotcha' parameters to be worthwhile, and ultimately the whole Advanced Auto Parts advertising contraptions prove to be only head-ache inducing
Furthermore, their attempt to indicate that calling a robotic phone system would be any less de-humanizing is just laughable.There are just too many choices of retailers to buy auto parts from than to have to deal with these sticky-tricky tactics!
