Review: On 06-04-15 at approximately 4 p.m. I requested Parker & Sons respond to my house in reference to my 4 ton a.c. unit not working properly. Parker & Son employee [redacted] arrived and began treating the unit. [redacted] stated their was a relay switch on the unit and it was currently in the off position most likely due to the unit being worked too hard. [redacted] suggested the blower fan would most likely need being replaced in the near future. [redacted] reset the switch and the unit began to blow properly. [redacted] quoted me $1029 for new blower. and stated both caps are in good shape on both units. I paid $69 in cash for the amount due and [redacted] asked if I was wiling to be placed on their $216 dollar twice a year service plan billed at $17.10 a month. I said yes. [redacted] checked both units and in his notes stated, "checked both units, pressure amp draws. run caps good"
After [redacted] left, I researched the blower online and found it for much cheaper. ($134). Unfortunately I was unable to buy it because I am not a distributor.
On 06-05-15 at approximately 11 a.m.the same a.c unit again began to blow warmer air so this time I contacted [redacted] who responded promptly. [redacted] charged me $475 for same replacement blower and they asked if I was interested in their twice a year service plan for $199. I stated yes.
I immediately called Parker & Sons and informed them within 19 hours I would like to opt out of their service plan. The female employee at Parker & Sons stated well, there is a $20 charger to opt out of the service plan after already paying $17.10 the day before. I stated I would pay the $20 to opt, but why could that not come out of the already $17.10 I gave them the day before.
I was contacted a week later by a female employee at Parker & Sons stating I am responsible for the difference in price of two maintenance units. There is nothing on my paperwork stating two maintenances were conducted.
On 06-15-15, I had [redacted] responded to the house because my small a.c. unit was not working properly. That employee stated the caps to the unit were leaking thus freon has been leaking from the system, quite the opposite of what Parker & Sons stated two weeks earlier on their so called maintenance check.
As of 06-23-15 both a.c. units are working properly as [redacted] conducted checks on both.Desired Settlement: I am willing to pay an additional $2.90 to make the even $20 for the cancelation as stated by the employee. I am not willing to pay the amount of $85.50 in which they are sending me a bill for after canceling their service plan in 19 hours, and them stating, "caps good". obviously the caps were not good, as [redacted] stated they were damaged and leaking freon.

Our Supervisor, Randy Carlson, spoke with the homeowner and satisfactorily resolved this complaint. We agreed to reimburse the homeowner the sum of $86.25 which represents the $17.25 PFP maintenance charge and the $69 service diagnostic fee. We apologize for the inconvenience our processing procedures caused the homeowner. If any other information is needed, please contact us immediately.

Professional, knowledgeable, reliable and responsive.
[redacted] did an outstanding job! We are VERY happy with Parker and Sons
I have a rental property in Tempe which is over 20 miles away. Parker and Sons takes care of both the plumbing and A/C maintenance. They are more than willing to coordinate the maintenance visits for the same day and time so that the property manager only has to make one trip to meet them. Their work is thorough and professional!
You don't fine many companies that are all about the customer they are very professional, honest and get the job done the right way the first time. I have recommended them to several friends and neighbors and they are all very pleased with there service.
The service from the folks I call to the technicians is outstanding. The HVAC (heat pump) technician is the best that I have ever had; 1) cordial, 2) professional, 3) expert above and beyond, 4) thorough, and 5) exceeds my expectations. The same can be said for the plumbing technician.
I've used Parker and Sons numerous times and have always been happy with their service. The folks how up when they say they will, call when they are on the way, and always do the little extras. I will call them the next time I need a repair.
Professionals all.
Parker and Sons is a great company. [redacted] was my service technician and he was very knowledgeable. He advised me on products that I should get to protect my air conditioning equipment but in no way was pushing about the products. I sincerely enjoy doing business with Parker & Sons.
Great service! I wish all the contractors I have used over the past 30 years were this good.
Their prices are not the cheapest, but great service has a cost and that is really what you are buying.
I would recommend them to anyone.
[redacted], the Parker & Sons service man that came to my house, corrected the heating problem. He was friendly and knowledgeable and explained what the problem was. The lady that answered the phone at Parker was also friendly and helpful.
I've ben very satisfied with the actual repairs and warranty replacement work that Parker and Sons has done on my two units. [redacted] and [redacted] both seemed to be knowledgeable and efficient. My only complaint about this company would be related to labor charges. They have replaced several major components on my system that were covered by warranty, so I was not charged for any parts. However, the repair technician recently spent approximately 90 minutes on-site replacing a fan motor, fan blades and capacitor, and the labor charge was $678. I understand they use a "book rate" for repair jobs, similar to what automotive repair shops do, but the time to complete the repairs my job required must be overstated in the "book" by a factor of about 3. I'm guessing that any other repair shops would probably have charged about then same amount to do the work. Apparently, the charges associated with ordering the parts, receiving the parts, scheduling the appointments and all the other "back-office work" must be charged at the same rate as the actual technical work.
Great service every time. I never have to worry about being told I need parts I don't need. All the service techs are pleasant and knowledgable. I won't use another company!
I am very happy with the plumbing service (craftsmanship)done at my older Mesa home Dec 27, 2013. We did not have emergency needs; we only requested preventative maintenance to replace 33 yr old turn off valves at sinks and toilets (to avert any emergency situations). The plumber sent([redacted]), was completely prepared with tools and knowledge to complete additional repairs while on-site. I would use Parker & Sons again and would recommend this company to others.
Parker and Sons provides a quick response to air conditioning and plumbing problems. While they may not be the cheapest, you get what you pay for. They stand behind their work and were my first choice when we replaced our home's A/C units last year.
Even though they are somewhat expensive this is the 5th time I've called on Parker & Sons for service because they do not disappoint. I keep requesting [redacted] if available. He doesn't seem to mind me watching & asking questions. It is obvious he knows exactly what he is doing & double checks his own work. Good man! I suspect he may be the typical technician in Parker & Sons.
I just had my main sewer line from the house to the city replaced and Parker and sons did a wonderful job. I would like to thank [redacted] and [redacted], they all did a wonderful job and are true professionals. I have had Parker and Sons work on my A/C plumbing and electrical before and they have always been fast economical and professional. And thanks again **, you earned my unwavering respect.
Air conditioning tech showed up right on time. We were called first to let us know he was on his way. He did an excellent job and was very courteous. We always call Parker and sons for all our maintainence needs.
Parker and Sons did an excellent job taking care of all our plumbing needs. They were very professional, courteous, and detailed. We plan on calling Parker and Sons for all of our plumbing needs in the future. Thank you Parker and Sons for a great experience!!
We have used this company for a variety of issues with our homes for many years now. When there is a true emergency, they are on top of the problem. The phone staff is courteous, and the employees that come to the house are the same way. The customer techs and service folks are clean, responsible, and do efficient jobs. They call when they are on their way and are in the "window" of when they are to arrive. The also clean up after themselves and do not let the cat out. I have recommended them often. Are they the cheapest, no, but they offer fair prices and great service.
