Precision Air & Heating, Inc. Reviews (1087)

These guys are great! Yes, I mean all of them, every Precision employee I have worked with. James came out to service our old AC unit 6 months ago, and he was courteous, thorough and professional. He did not try to sell us a new unit even though he thought it was time to replace the old one, so rolling forward 4 months I didn't hesitate to call him when we needed follow-up servicing. At that time I decided to invest in a new unit rather than sink more money into the old one, and also to install a damper system to better control circulation throughout my two-level home. James called in Claude and Ricky to provide my estimate. I was impressed with their honesty and integrity, and once again the professionalism of this company was indisputable. Finally, big kudos to Guy and Eric, who both installed the new AC a month ago as well as the damper system, which they completed today. Friendly, hard-working guys. I work from home, and they went about their work quickly, quietly and efficiently, without disturbing my normal routine. I totally recommend Precision to anyone who is looking for great service when you have AC or plumbing needs. Two thumbs up!

Precision Air sent their technician Aaron to my house today. Aaron was friendly and knowledgeable. He had my air conditioning unit fixed in no time. Extremely satisfied customer here!

Excellent service, excellent company. Jacob was honest and prompt and very thorough. Explained everything in a professional manner and was very kind. I would definitely recommend Precision Air & Heating to all my friends!

Manny was very professional and knowledgeable. He referred us to a supervisor for further information on replacing our non-functioning AC.

I received outstanding service today from Mike S[redacted]. He was very helpful and took his time to check everything throughly. He was able to clean my AC coils out as they were very dirty and now they look excellent. Mike did a great job and hope to have him back again!

The air conditioning was fixed quickly once they got someone out here. Kc got it done. It runs fine now. The problem was the main circuit breaker and the a/c unit is fine. [redacted]

Manny was great. Very professional and knowledgeable. Great service and friendly.

Manny did a good job of explaining the problem and giving me helpful tips. I would recommend precision air to my friends.

Shane H[redacted] and Manny V[redacted] came out to my house and did their work quickly and efficiently. They knew what they were doing and explained everything to my satisfaction. I recommend both of them highly. Great job!

We have been using Precision Air and Heating since 2008 and after a visit from Nick R[redacted] today, we continue to be impressed with the service. Nick was patient and understanding and very helpful with our questions during our yearly A/C maintenance. Precision knows their stuff and the workers are clean and professional. We have no hesitation to continue a service agreement with this company and we hope to keep working with Nick!

I had Nick from Precision Air out today to perform the maintenance check on my A/C unit. This was his second time to my residence, as he also did my service last year. Nick is a straight shooter and explains everything in great detail. I feel that I can trust his recommendations and that he is giving me the best deal possible. Precision Air is lucky to have him as an employee.

Review: I called Precision Air & Heating April 30th and scheduled them to come to my home on May 1st to do an AC tuneup. The techs name was [redacted]. Upon entering my home he asked how long has the AC been on. I replied that it had been on for about an hour, which he let me know that I had a leak so he would not be able to do the tuneup and that he would recommend a leak test to locate the leak. After tip toeing around the price like he didn't know what it was, he finally let me know that it was $377. When asked what would be done for the $377 he explained that it includes the trip charge and that he would be pressurizing my system with nitrogen to locate the leak and that it could be fairly time consuming.

[redacted] stepped outside to take a call from his boss, while he was outside I decided to jump in the internet and searched for "hvac leak test price" and read a couple of the results because the price seemed high, but I don't know HVAC so who am I to say if something is overpriced or not. One of the results stated that they normally use an electronic device to do the leak test and charge $50-75 but that sometimes they do the nitrogen leak test and charge $300-400. After reading this and hearing what [redacted] said about the services he would be providing I decided that it was a reasonable value for what he would be doing.

[redacted] came back into my home a couple minutes later and apologized for the call. He went over his recommendation again and repeated his speech about how doing the tuneup would be a waste due to the leak. I agreed to let him do the leak test and he went outside to get his ladder and tools. While he was outside I turned on Mickey Mouse(a 25 minute show) for my daughter from our [redacted] came back in about 5 minutes later and asked where my attic access was so I showed him where it was and he started setting up his ladder. I went back into the room with my daughter. A few minutes later I hear some beeping coming from the attic, oh good, he must be all setup and working... Cool air will be here soon!

I get distracted with the time while playing with my daughter(who got bored of watching Mickey Mouse almost immediately and wanted to play a math game) and I hear [redacted] say "knock knock". I tell my daughter to finish watching Mickey Mouse and I come out of the room and [redacted] says that it is definitely my coil that is leaking and that I am looking at around $2100 for the repair but that he recommends I buy a new AC system. A new AC system? My house is only 5 years old and it was owned by snowbirds before me who hardly used it!(I owned the house for just over 1 year now). Why would I need a new AC system already? He explains that the choice is up to me but that since the repair will already be $2100 and it will only fix one component that it would be better to purchase a new system all together with a new warranty. I ask [redacted], and then I get to replace that system in 5 years too? He is silent for a minute before saying that he could get someone out to do a free in home estimate for the new AC system and that he can't go over pricing of the new system because that was not his job. I let [redacted] know that he could schedule the estimate, but that I would need to get some other quotes for the repair because it seemed high. [redacted] got defensive and stated that all the prices would be around the same no matter who I go through but that I am free to do so.

[redacted] left and I scheduled another AC company to come out and look at my AC. [redacted] charged me $70 which included the leak test and the service call. He also ended up waiving this charge because I had him do the repair as well.

[redacted] from [redacted] came to my house a couple weeks ago. He confirmed it was the coil, gave me two options and quoted $500 and $1200 for the options, compared to $2100 from Precision! He also told me that the test [redacted] did was not a nitrogen pressure test like he said, as they take much more time to complete... But wait... That is exactly what [redacted] from Precision Air & Heating told me he would be doing for the $377! If I knew he was going to wave a beeping wand around in my attic for 5-10 minutes for almost $400, I would have told him to get out of my house, but instead he lied and told me he would be doing a much more comprehensive testing than what was really being provided.

[redacted] ended up completing the work for $950, for the same exact work that Precision was telling me would cost $2100. My biggest complaint is with the fact that they charged me $377 and promised a specific testing would be done, then doing something else. Trying to take advantage of a customer just because they are not well versed in the world of HVAC is a bad practice by Precision Air & Heating.

To wrap things up, Precision Air & Heating is a rip off... They lied about the services they would provide and quoted an overpriced repair in an attempt to sell me a whole new AC system.Desired Settlement: I want the $377 charge refunded for lying about what work would be done as I never would have agreed to what the tech was really doing for that price.

Response:

Precision Air & Heating, Inc. respectfully responds to the above referenced complaint for [redacted].Mr. [redacted] reached out to Precision Air & Heating, Inc. on 4/3.0/2015 to have a Complete A/C Tune Up performed on his five year old Rheem Split Gas system. His appointment was set for5/1/2015. Upon arrival to the-call,our tech discovered the A/C system was not functioning properly. Given this, we could not perform a Complete A/CTUne Up and needed to diagnosis why the system was not functioning properly. Upon diagnosis, the system wasfound to be low on Freon. At this point, our technician recommended a leak search of the system todetermine where the leak was coming from. At his own admission himself, Mr. [redacted]researched pricing on the internet for a leak search (prior to our technician quoting a price) and still agreed to move forward with Precision's quoted price of $377.00 determining that.lt was a reasonable value for the service recommended. Our technician performed the leak search and discovered the leak was at the indoor coil. An estimate of $2100 was given to repairthe coil iri. addition for the option to have a Precision Field Supervisor out for a no charge, hew u.nit estimate on replacing the five year old unit. Mr. [redacted] agreed to have a new unit estimate by Precision and it was scheduled for 5/4/2015. Unfortunately, Mr. [redacted] cancelled this appointment. I have included both the original work order related to his phone call on4/30/2015 as well as our Sales Call Sheet for the new unit estimate for your convenience. It can't be determined as to whether the prior homeowner(s) had regular maintenance performed on the five year old system. Nor can it be determined if Mr. [redacted] had the system maintained for the one year period he has been in the home. Precision has no service history for this address or for Mr. [redacted] particularly. Mr. [redacted]'s reference to the age of his equipment has no relevance in his complaint. A new unit replacement was a second recommendation versus a repair. While we appreciate Mr. [redacted] being a savvy shopper and wanting to get the best deal, Precision Air & Heating, Inc. has never promoted that we offer the lowest pricing. Precision Air& Heating, Inc. is a well-known and reputable HVAC company that holds an excellent accreditation with the Revdex.com, Arizona Registrar of Contractors, holds multiple HVAC and ethics awards within the industry and displays Integrity, Quality and Trust. It is not a fair comparison for Mr. [redacted] to state another HVAC contractor charged a lesser price for asimilar service. Nor is it fair for the other HVAC contractor to accuse Precision of not performing the proper testing. Mr. [redacted] agreed to have a service completed at a quoted priceof $377.79. Precision's diagnosis was 100% accurate. I am providing a copy of our invoice number [redacted] for your convenience.Precision Air & Heating,Inc. has completed Mr. [redacted]'s HVAC requests within a timely manner, properly diagnosed his Rheem system and has given him a repair versus replacement option. Mr. [redacted] himself chose to have a repair completed by another contractor solely due to pricing.Let it be known that the HVAC contractor whom serviced Mr. [redacted] is currently providing services under an expired contractor license through the State of Arizona. I would assume that the price-point given by this unlicensed contractor is a reflection of a lack of business due-to the current status with the State. For these reasons, Precision Air & Heating, Inc. denies Mr. [redacted]'s request for reimbursement of the leak search amount of $377.79. His claim is solely based on a pricing issue and should be removed from Precision's records immediately.

Louis was very professional. The fix to my AC was quick and painless. I would recommend him to anyone needing AC needs.

I called Precision for the first time today and the tech, Matt Tryon, was here well before the 'window' - which was great! He came in, looked at my AC unit, diagnosed the problem and after a quick repair and a few tweaks to increase its efficiency he was out.

He was prompt, professional, knowledgeable and pleasant. I will use this company again :-)

James S[redacted] from Precision was awesome. He took the time to explain and visually show me how to rectify our concern. He was very professional in his approach and very thorough in sharing his k owledge of the issue.

Thank you James!

I would highly recommend Precision Air and Heating. [redacted] was the very knowledgeable technician and extremely helpful in making some energy efficient recommendations. We have been Precision Air and Heating customers for many years and they continue to impress us. We would and continue to recommend the business to family and friends. Thank you Invoice number [redacted].

I got my Ac through [redacted]. After researching I went with Precision Air as my contractor to install. They are highly rated for good reason. My Ac was installed two days later. Everyone involved had great communication and we're super nice. They did an excellent job with the install. They ended up spending a big chunk of the day at my house which really made me feel like nothing was being rushed. It is a mine field in the world of contractors. I really felt like I hit a home run choosing Precision.

Manny did a great job, was very courteous, and explained all his recommendations and actions fully. We will use Precision Air again in the future.

The technician manny was professional and honest concerning the condition of the system. Thank you for working with us.

I recently had Precision Air and Heating come to my house for a tune up and first dealt with Giarret. Giarret gave my A/C a full inspection and pointed out a couple components that would improve performance of my unit. He also recommended that I get a estimate on a new unit since I had a 25 year old air handler. He referred me to Mike Collins a field Supervisor. I setup a appointment with Mike and he arrived couple days later and gave me a estimate on a new sir handler. They were both professional and answered all my questions. #precisionairbestinthebusiness
