Precision Air & Heating, Inc. Reviews (1087)

Mike S. did a fantastic job. Professional, courteous, and quick. Will use Precision Air again!

On November 30, 2015, Precision Air and Heating technicians, Garrett and his helper reviewed my air and heating system and made arrangements for duct cleaning on December 2, 2015. Both men were knowledgeable, pleasant, neat and respectful.
On December 2, 2015 two Precision Air and Heating technicians, Aaron and Francisco arrived on time and volunteered to put on plastic shoe covers when I mentioned that my carpets had recently been cleaned. I really appreciated this. They proceeded with the job of cleaning all the ducts in my house, using great care with their ladders and equipment. Again, these men were also knowledgeable about their work, very pleasant, neat and respectful.
I would be happy to recommend this company to anyone.

Great service manny

Manny was very punctual polite and very informative .would definitely recommend this company to anyone with HVAC needs

I had a young man named Cameron from Precision Air come to my home to check my air conditioning unit. Cameron was very professional and personable. He did a thorough job of checking my air conditioner.

this was my first experience with precision air my air conditioner was reading 85° at the thermostat so I thought I'd give Percision a call within minutes Manny was at my front door he diagnosed system within minutes he was very knolagable respectful and honest about pricing ...... I'm glad I made the precision decision !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Precision Air and Heating did our yearly AC checkup 3/17/2016. our service Tec (Aaron A[redacted]) arrived on time and was very through and pleasant. to work with. He reviewed his finding in a way we could understand. He found some problems with the AC componets and explanned why they needed to be replaced before they fail.
He is welcome to come back next year for our service. Precision Air has been a good company to work with.

Very reliable and dependable. Very timely and technician (manny) quite thorough and knowledgeable. Used them for Preventive Maintenance on two home units. they found some issues. Unlike many AC contractors - they did not sticker shock me with high priced solutions. instead, worked with me to troubleshoot and come up with a reasonable cost effective solution. Very rare these days.

Review: We have been customers of Precision air since 2006. Every year it seems we spend 300.00 to 400.00 dollars on a top of the line A/C unit ( [redacted] ) that was new in 2001. I understand even new equipment needs maintenance but since 2006 we have spent 3366.56 0n this air conditioner. I have had both my knees replaced, so my wife, the nurse, refuses to let me get on the roof to do our own maintenance. This was the reason for getting someone, other than myself, to make sure everything was up to par. In July of this year, ( 7/9/13) a 55amp motor capacitor needed replacing. It was replace last November ( 10/4/12 ) I asked if it was under warranty but was given a "reason" why it wasn't. After hearing this and paying 634.09 this year ( some of this involved cleaning our air ducts which presented a problem another problem.) I checked our invoices and this is the third such capacitor precision Air has replaced in five years! The retail price of this part is 187.07. Because we have a contract for yearly service on our A/C it is discounted to 149.66. You, know the internet is a handy thing to have. I looked this capacitor up and found it is made in China and anyone can buy the exact same one for 29.98. Of course you get what you pay for but apparently not in this case. I called and ask [redacted] about it and he told me, " when you buy something from us, your not just buying a part, your buying our good name". From what I've been told [redacted] is no longer gainfully employed at Precision Air. I was an automobile mechanic and a machinist most of my life. I always gave the option of using factory or aftermarket parts to my customers. If I used a non factory part and more than one failed, I quit using that part and that brand. I'm retired now, but I guess business isn't done that way anymore .I have made a dozen calls to Precision Air the first time 7/26/13 and the last 10/17/13 They tell me someone will return my call but they never do. These A/C techs work on commission, I think there may be a temptation to over sell, who wants to be hot in July? The real nail in the coffin goes as follows. when I build an engine, I keep all the boxes the new parts come in as well as the old parts until I see the tail lights of said vehicle driving off into the sunset. I have all the capacitors that were removed, including the original. I have several friends in the A/C trade so after I checked these parts, with internet help, I took them to one of them. It seems the original, while working close to being out of tolerance or specification is still good. The replacement parts are bad one having a hole in it, which was the reason it was not warranted. Seems odd, I didn't make it or install it, I paid someone to do that. But after nine months this part failed and I have to pay 147.99 for a 29 99 part, again. I'm seeing a pattern here. We had precision Air clean or air ducts. A young man came in set everything up, started "vacuuming " the junk out of them" to do so he had to remove I think four of the registers. He left and all is good. Later that afternoon I started feeling a little warm. When the war department got home ( that would be my wife ) and was home for a while I asked her if she felt a bit warm. She agreed it was a little uncomfortable. I was going to turn the thermostat down, I noticed the registers were installed upside down, pushing the cool air to the ceiling rather to the floor. That was an easy fix but we paid 334.40 for that "easy fix" Since this is the second thing Precision Air has fouled up,on this visit, I no longer want anything to do with them. Moreover, I feel we are entitled to a refund.Desired Settlement: I feel we should be refunded for both the failed capacitors, the full amount of our contract, and part of the air duct cleaning

Response:

Precision Air & Heating, Inc. respectfully responds to the complaint filed by Mr. [redacted] on September 25, 2013. Complaint ID# [redacted].

In this complaint, Mr. [redacted] is seeking a refund for failed capacitors, duct cleaning, and h,ls Agreement.

Mr. [redacted] has been a customer of Precision Air & Heating, Inc. since 2006. During this time we have provided service and maintenance to the now 12 year old[redacted] unit that iS,located on his property.

On October 4, 2012, [redacted] completed the annual Agreement visitfor Mr. [redacted] on his now 9 year old unit. There was no charge for the Agreement visit itself, howeVer, the unit was found to have a SS run capacitor running extremely low and causing high amperage to the compressor .. [redacted] recommended replacing the run capacitor and Mr. [redacted] authorized the work. Invoice# [redacted] is included for your review.

[redacted] returned to the residence on July 9 2013 to service the unit that is now 10 years in age. Again, there was no charge for the Agreement visit itself. During inspection of the unit, [redacted] found the system with a 55 run capacitor that had a hole in it and a bad 12.5 run capacitor, again causing tiigharnpenige and damage to the compressor. [redacted] "recommended" replacing both run capacitors and Mr. [redacted],' ' authorized the work. Invoice# [redacted] is included for your review,

It is critical to outline that run capacitors prevent motor failure and take the brunt of the problem that the machine, as a whole, is having. Mr. [redacted]'s conclusion that the run capacitors failed because they were faulty from the beginning is simply not the case. His 10 year old unit is struggling and the motor and compressor are causing the run capacitors to fail.

While we can appreciate the consumer being a savvy shopper and researching parts cost on the internet, it is worthwhile to note that the purchase price he may have found for an identical part is simply just for that, the cost of the part. It does not include shipping, labor, installation, warranty, Etc. As Mr. [redacted] explains he is not able to complete the maintenance needs for his unit. It is unrealistic to entertain that a business could complete a service from start to finish for a product price found on the internet.

Mr. [redacted] is correct in that the parts he has are "bad" and we are glad to hear that he acknowledges a pattern with repair. Maybe he has determined that if he doesn't replace his unit he may very well continue to have to make similar repairs until the unit fails completely.

We performed an 11 vent duct clean on July 10, 2013. Mr. [redacted] authorized the work and the service was completed. It appears that any oversight related to the duct cleaning service wa$ addressed the same day and that this concern was resolved more than three months ago now. Invoice [redacted] is• included for your review.

The customer's notation of the dollar amount that he has spent with PreCision Air & Heating, Inc. is

,; '." .

accurate; the indication that the amount was spent on maintenance alone is not. Mr. [redacted] has purchased additional services and products at will for tMpastseveh years. Hehasbeenavalued customer with Precision Air & Heating, Inc. and we appreciate his patronage.

Mr. [redacted]'s request for a refund is unwarranted. We completed the authorized work and Mr. [redacted] accepted the performed services as being satisfactory. We have not failed to complete our obligations under his Agreement.

Precision Air & Heating, Inc. has managed to maintain an exceptional rating with the Revdex.comfor over 15 years and it is something that we are very proud of. However, it has become exceedingly difficult to maintain this in recent years with complaints of this nature. We go to great lengths to make sure that Integrity, Quality and Trust are at the forefront of the service we provide.

We recently had work done on our new home because we found that the master bedroom would not become cool during the day or at night, whether we closed the doors or kept them open. We were told that we needed another supply and return installed, which would cost us $900+. Although expensive, my husband and I decided to go ahead and have the work done. After all, there were so many positive reviews of the company online and he could not sleep. We then decided to have the company replace our A/C unit as well, since our electric bill was enormous and the unit was original - 24 years old. During the negotiations on price for the A/C, I found out that there was a minimum service charge for labor and that charge comprised over half of our first bill for the supply/return addition. Although we worked out a favorable end price for all of the work done, I reserve judgement until my electric bill sells the quality of the A/C bought and their work sealing up all of the ducts. The men who performed work on our home (Jose, Mario, Davin) seemed nice and cleaned the floors after all the insulation started coming down. I wish they would have put the attic entrance back properly, but otherwise they seemed professional.

Thank to precision for all the great service manny also

Nick R. came out for my annual check-up and was on-time, courteous and polite. Nick quickly located a few trouble spots on my water heater and recommended a few fixes. I've been a customer of precision heating and air for the past 2 years, and I've been very happy with the services they provide.

I just like to say that [redacted] was very professional he had my best interest at heart I I think you did a great job and I would recommend Precision air to anyone he was baby professional respectful and knew his stuff got me up and cooling until a warranty part was able to come in thank you very much [redacted] we appreciate it

Nick was able to assess the issue with our furnace and if he didn't have the answers, he called to find out and was able to determine the problem.

Nick came to our home for our yearly AC/Heating check up and noticed that our hot water heater was on its last leg and offered to replace it that day. When he removed the old hot water heater, he found that it had already started leaking and had some mold growing below. We were fortunate to have Nick guide us with his expertise to make the wise decision to change it out before it got any worse!

Today we had our AC serviced for the summer. The experience with Precision was great as always. Armando did a great job checking all phases of the operation..
The preventive maintenance plan with Precision Air is the best.
