I signed up for the advertised free trial offer and tried to cancel before the 30 days. Was apparently already charged. Cancelled. Charged again. $140
I fell victim, as it seems did so many others, of Shaw Academy's shady and dishonest business practices. I signed up for the advertised free 30 day trial. As is common, I provided a debit card number, with the understanding that if I cancelled my free subscription before the 30 days then I would not be charged. When I went to cancel my subscription, I was asked no less than 6 times if I was sure I wanted to cancel. I was then told I had to call customer service in order to cancel. The employee then tried to convince me not to cancel, offering me another "free trial" and reminding me that I signed up to better myself. At some point she told me that I had already been charged because I allegedly upgraded my subscription. This is simply not true. I never had any intention to. Therefore, they either created the signup process to be deceitful to trick people, or they are simply lying and only created the "free trial" in order to steal people's money. After expressing my feelings about this, the employee still tried to keep me from cancelling my account. I insisted, and was made to believe that she was doing so. I also insisted that I should be refunded the $69.99 I was charged. However, I was told I needed to email ***@shawacademy.com about my refund. Needless to say, it seemed as if she was deflecting and avoiding me. I then sent an email describing my situation, and was sent an automated email giving me an ID number and telling me I would be contacted withing 48 hours. What is more, the employee had the nerve to send me an email offering me more services and telling me it was a pleasure speaking with me. It will be a week tomorrow, and I have not heard anything else from them. Finally, although I can't say I am surprised at this point, my debit card was charged again for another $69.99.

Free Trial. Charged. Cancelled but not cancelled. Charged again.

Desired Outcome

I would like to be refunded the $139.98 I was charged. I would also like my debit card information removed from their records and my account deleted. Finally, I do not want any further contact with this company.

Due to the dishonesty of Shaw Academy, I was forced to cancel my debit card. I don't know how they will give me a refund now. I absolutely will not give them any other information on me which they can use to scam me again. Furthermore, I received an email at the same day they responded to this complaint saying they would not give me a refund. It seems they are yet again being dishonest or

We completed our courses almost 1.5years ago. We've been requesting for my EQF cert. But shaw says we can't find the record though I have the evidence
I have a lifetime membership with Shaw. I along with my wife & son completed the courses of which I have the evidence. Shaw says they have no records. I sent them the soft copies of the certificate too and requested for hard copies that states eqf level 5 & a verification and a equivalency letter addressed to embassies as I'm applying for immigration. I've explained them already that your systems were updated as I see a lot of changes on your website. So they need to dig deeper. I've been asking for their manager or directors ph # or email & they say we can't. Pls help in exhausted

Desired Outcome

I need our certificates for which we have been waiting for months. I need compensation from Shaw for providing such a disgusting service.

It's the same repeated reply I've been receiving since several months. Nothing productive or concrete. I've emailed *** at Revdex.com the soft copies of my certificates that I was able to retrieve but still need hard copies, the EQF level 5 certificates which is the main attraction, verification and equivalency letter on Shaw's a letter head to be submitted to the embassies across the globe.

Revdex.com if you notice Shaw is inconsistent in their responses. Previously they could not see my certificates, now they can't see that I even ever paid them as if I don't and never existed.
Pls note that I have sent Abby at Revdex.com the soft copies of the certificates issued by Shaw.(Abby can you pls share with all the attachments I had sent) My account status shows active with a lifetime membership purchase.

Shaw is consistently misleading and miss stating the facts. Someone at Shaw must give me a call to talk.

01. It took us this long to actually make Shaw realise that my certs are pending and I do have an account which they denied all this time. Finally when they have agreed I won't say found because it was there all this time. Now they need 02 months to send the hard copies. Sorry not acceptable they need to prioritise and send immediately.

02. They have not sent my son Bradley's certificate I've attached his cert in my previous & current communication.

03. Shaw needs to assure the hard copies being sent will be the EQF LEVEL 5 certificates not the regular certificate.

As you can see its evident that Shaw has a standard reply to most of the complaints they receive and are habitual of ignoring the concerns raised by the consumers. In spite of me reiterating that they read my email and respond according to it. They once again have sent the same reply and as usual using the delaying tactics.
I hope you've notice that they have already bought sometime while you (Revdex.com) endeavors to resolve the complaint.

I cancelled my membership the day that I signed up for classes because I could not fit the course into my schedule and I was still charged 69.99 twice
I signed up and cancelled my account on 5/8/20. I called immediately after I felt the program didn't fit in my schedule. The lady I talked with was incredibly rude and finally after saying I did not want to participate more than 5 times, she said my membership was cancelled. That was not the case at all. My account was charged two more times. I didn't notice the charge for June that was 69.99 but I did notice in July for 69.99. Regardless, I did not sign up for either and have not logged into my account since 5/8/20. Gomes and Richard at Shaw Academy will not defund my money. They also put me back into a free trial program. I feel as though I might be screwed again from that.

Desired Outcome

I want both my 69.99 charges to be refunded.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

They've been charging me $59.99 for 4 months without notifying me. They are charging for a Premium Membership I didn't sign up for. That's $239.96!
I signed up for a free trail in March. I paid to get the certificate but did not finish the class; that's my fault. I'm fine with having paid for that. However, they decided to keep my card info and start charging me for a Premium Membership at $59.99 every month since April. They did not notify me once despite having my email and phone number on file. They were completely taking money out of my account knowing they weren't letting me know. This is theft. They have stolen $239.96 from me. This is ridiculous and I demand a full refund. I called back in April and again today to cancel the subscription because I'm not going to keep being charged for something I didn't purchase. They won't let me delete my card information either so I wouldn't be surprised if they try to keep on charging me. I've reported them to my bank as fraud and to block all future charges. I have field a request via their website, emailed them, called and messaged them on Instagram but have yet to receive a refund. This is absolutely ridiculous, almost $250 just gone because they are thieves!! I never bought a premium membership from them, they just decided to start charging me after my free trial. I NEVER signed up to renew anything though. Thieves!

Desired Outcome

I want a full refund for $239.96. I've been charged in April, May, June and July for $59.99. So I demand a refund for all of it because I've had to call more than once to cancel it, and it is unfair that they even signed me up without notifying me of any charges. I demand a full refund of $239.96 and will pursue this case until I get it.

Shaw Academy Response • Jul 15, 2020

I am trying to cancel my membership to Shaw Academy. I want an IMMEDIATE cancellation and insurance that no charges will be filed to my card.
To whom it concerns,

I signed up for a free trial with my card for Shaw Academy today (July 14th, 2020) and immediately noticed something was amiss. I found an ad through their Instagram account for a diploma for coding, yet when I signed up that diploma was no where to be found and instead I was automatically entered into the "web development" course.

Then, I looked up Shaw Academy and was horrified about what came up. Absolute horror stories of trying to get refunds and getting charged even when in the free trial. I saw petitions, etc. I went to cancel my membership right away and instead it took me through various pages of "are you sure you want to cancel" and finally got me to a phone number. I saw on the reddit to not even bother contacting the number because they just guilt-trip you and redirect you to their email. I have emailed Shaw Academy but after everything I have heard I am in awe of how this company is even allowed to still be in business so I am immediately filing a complaint here.

Desired Outcome

I want an immediate cancellation of my free trial and membership to Shaw Academy. I do not want my account paused, I want a CANCELLATION. I do not want to be contacted by Shaw Academy through my cell phone or email ever again and want insurance of all of this. I do not mean to sound harsh, but after reading through these complaints I think I have the right to be. I am aware that this is not the customer service or people who respond to these emails fault, but the company really should be ashamed of themselves. Get back to me when you can!

Shaw Academy is a scam. Shady business to trick customers.
I signed up for a class from Shaw Academy on 12 June

When I was about to cancel my account. The website gave me an option to send a reminder email. Of course I opted in. That email never came and I was charged 34.99$ on 10 July. This is a breach of contract. They intentionally didn't do what they promised to charge me.

While I was scrolling the app to look for a "report" or "request refund" option on 11 July. I suddenly was charged 39 Euro for the e-certificate. I didn't click on the option to buy it. I was just scrolling and the transaction immediately go through by just one tap like that. I have no option to cancel or stop the transaction.

I contacted them at ***@shawacademy.com on the same day. I received an automatic email saying they will solve it in 48 hours but it has been 3 days and no one answered me yet.

I researched the issue in the Internet and learned that many people have been tricked by Shaw Academy the same way I was. Please help me fight this and please do not let this kind of unethical business get away with it.

Thank you so much.

Desired Outcome

I would like to get refund. The fee I was charged without my permission 34.99$ and the 39 Euro for the certificate I had no intention to purchase.

Again, please refund me the fee I was charged without my permission 34.99$ and the 39 Euro for the certificate I had no intention to purchase. I was just scrolling my phone. You CAN take back the e-certificate.

I contacted their priority support email and Shaw Academy only used automated response and tell me to wait for 48 hours 3 times on 17, 24 and 25 July. I consider this is a shady practice to let me wait and cannot respond in time for this Revdex.com complaint.

Shaw Academy Response • Jul 28, 2020

Shaw Academy took a payment they were not authorised to do so and have ignored numerous emails requesting a refund.
They took an unauthorised payment as they never bothered to remind me the trail was up, like they state themselves in their T&C's on the website. I have emailed them numerous times as I am now unemployed due to the pandemic so really need that money and I am unfortunately getting no response at all. Although they were very quick to call me about selling me a plan and also very annoying with it sending a million emails a day. It's too much! Furthermore even if I did want to pay the subscription and continue, they are not providing me with the correct service as the module 2 course now open to me is for a course I have never even chosen or have any interest in at all. They are scammers! And I want my money back now!!

Desired Outcome

A refund immediately and some free stuff to say sorry for Messing me around and clearly trying to scam me

I cancelled my membership before the end of my 4 week free trial yet I was charged for a premium membership and I am being refused a refund.
I signed up for a free 4-week trial of a social media course on the 6th of May and called up to cancel my trial on the 2nd of June, I spoke to a lady called 'Fatima Fortune' on the phone who cancelled my membership and insisted on crediting my account an extra 30 days free to complete my course which I did not use as I was not happy with the course, yet she confirmed that my membership was cancelled and after the extra 30 days I would not be charged anything. This occurred on the 27th day of my 4-week trial period. Therefore I cancelled before the end of the trial period and should not have been charged. I received confirmation over the phone and via email to confirm that my membership had been cancelled (See screenshot). Then, later I check my account and see that I have been put on a premium account without my consent and I am being charged £49.99.

In addition to this, the money was taken out of my account prevented me from making an important bill payment. As you can imagine it has been a very difficult time financially with the impact of Covid-19 leading to myself and many others being out of work for an extended period of time and still having bills to pay so this has been a very stressful situation for me which I have tried to resolve with the company directly over email and they have refused to refund me and have instead offered more free months access which I do not want as I previously stated I do not want to continue the course and truthfully I do not trust them at all and would not be surprised if they attempt to take even more money from me under the guise of 'free access', so the only resolution I want at this point is a full refund.

As a consumer I have every right to trial a product and cancel before the end of the trial if I am not happy to continue, yet this right has been taken away from me so as you can imagine I am very disgusted with this experience as Shaw Academy have taken advantage of individuals desire to learn new skills during lockdown to process unauthorised transactions and take money from many innocent people as you can see when you look up the many complaints about them online, it is clearly a scam.

Desired Outcome

Full refund of £49.99.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The sales representative I spoke to when cancelling confirmed I would not be charged after the extra 30 days she insisted in awarding me and confirmed verbally and via email that my membership was cancelled for good. Otherwise I would have ensured to cancel it again because I did not use it anyway and have no plans to after this experience. Ultimately, from this case and many others who have had the same experience as myself and shared it online it's clear your sales reps provide false information to customers so they end up being charged when all they want to do is cancel their membership and it is unacceptable.

Shaw Academy Response • Jul 18, 2020

I have received my desired resolution.

I signed up for a "free" class just to find out that it wasn't free.
I signed up on 7/4 for a free class in photography, they were advertising on Instagram and literally was charged 3 days after. I tried to call, but the number is not a working number. I am a furloughed consumer, looking to make the best of my time, and this company took money out of my account with no remorse. I had to email them letting them know that they advertised for a free 4 week class that in fact isn't free. There was no mention of any trials. I find this to be very condescending. They get you rolled in and then it's a tennis game asking for a refund and letting them know you are no longer interested. I've contacted my card company to let them know what happened and filed a dispute. Restassured this issue will get resolved and the more people I can get to understand the scam the better!

Desired Outcome

All I want is my refund and my email and information removed from their system.

We have reviewed your complaint and the conversation with our support team. We noticed that your first dispute was against the transaction done on the 7 July from the card ending with 9739. This payment was charged as you had activated the premium subscription which was later refunded even though this is a non refundable charge as per our terms and conditions. After this we do not see any other transaction on this card. Please be aware that this transaction is associated with the email [email protected].

After your second complaint we tried to match your info and found another account associated with the email [email protected]. There is a transaction made on the 28 July but the payment was taken from a different card ending with 5921. This payment was process as monthly subscription fee as the account was not deactivated within the trail period. We also noticed our support team have initiated a refund for this transaction as well.

Cannot cancel trial account.
I registered just this month to see if they have a good online course. However after just watching 2 videos I decided not to continue. I immediately tried to cancel my account but it keep saying that I need to call their hotline. As I'm doing this, their hotline is always busy no matter what time of day or night. So here I am struggling to cancel my account to avoid payments since I have no plan to use their lessons. I even emailed them several times but no one responded. I think they are scamming people by not providing easy cancellation method, it's like robbing you with your credit card information.

Impossible to cancel subscription, met with harassment.
Shaw Academy does not allow cancellation of services. They are un-contactable, and have a scheme of harassment for anyone trying to cancel. Website leads you through ten pages of "do you want to cancel" choices, and then ends with a phone number to call. The phone number is an automated services that doesn't allow you to cancel. They harass you into keeping your account because its literally impossible to cancel, there is NO OPTION.
I've reported them to my bank as a scam and blocked payments.

Desired Outcome

I want my account cancelled and any payments refunded.

I cancelled my Shaw Academy free trial via phone/email/through online account 1 week before it ended. Two months later and they keep charging me.
I signed up for the Shaw Academy free trial and entered my credit card information. One full business week before my trial was up, I cancelled with Shaw Academy via phone call, by email, and by deleting all my modules and any such service through the online account portal. YET, a week and a half later they charged my Credit Card $70.00 and AGAIN July 1, 2020 they charged me another $70.00. No matter what I do to contact them, it goes unanswered and they keep charging.

I even went to their Facebook Business page and left a comment which was deleted and they have yet to respond to my direct Facebook messages.

I haven't even signed on to their platform since I cancelled. Yet, they call me each week via automated machine trying to sell me my certificates and email me incessantly saying the same.

I just want them to stop and to get my money back. It's theft.

Desired Outcome

I want them to: 1. Refund the full amount of both unauthorized charges of $70.00CAD to my credit card; 2. Remove me from their mailing list; 3. Stop calling me; 4. Delete my account off of their servers, and; 5. Leave me alone and do not charge me any further.

This company has charged me 3 months worth of subscription without my knowledge and has yet to respond or refund.
Their free trial that I signed up for in April was never confirmed via e-mail. I wasn't able to log into any account to cancel my membership. I have since been charged for 3 months even though I have never even signed in or taken any classes.

Desired Outcome

I expect a prompt refund of all charges and a cancelation.

There is no resolution to my complaint until you return the money that you stole from me. Upon signing up you said you would notify me before you began charging my account. Since I never received ANY e-mails at all I assumed that the trial was over and that you would not charge me. Instead you deliberately neglected to e-mail me and notify me and have now stolen 3 months worth of money from me during a pandemic. This is absolutely disgusting behavior. An education organization is not a subscription. For you to operate as such is preying on innocent people to con them into being locked into your "services." The fact that you have made this non-refundable only proves that this was your intention all along. I would like a refund of every penny you stole from me.

Shaw Academy Response • Jul 23, 2020

Hi ***,

We are very sorry for the inconvenience you faced. However we would also like to bring it to you attention that you have accepted the terms and conditions which clearly indicated about the auto renewal process and the charges involved. We are sorry to inform you that the refund is not possible. Refund are given in situation where we as an organisation have failed to cancel the account even after the customer has requested to cancel before the trial period. As far as we are concern we have upheld our part of the contract with you. Unfortunately we are unable to provide you a refund.

Regards,
Shaw Academy

Signed up for a free trial offer during COVID-19 in April with no info about cancelling to avoid membership. Was charged for membership-not acceptabl!
I signed up for a free trial offered by Shaw Academy called Nutrition and Sports on April 28, 2020 and saw nothing about cancellation at end of trial to avoid membership fees. On June 27th my PayPal account was charged $69.99 for their premium membership which doesn't expire until July 25th. I stopped the membership but strongly feel they should return my $69.99 to my PayPal account. I removed my credit cards from my PayPal account as well to avoid them attempting to take any more money. I will attach the receipt for the charge from Shaw Academy for the $69.99 as well as the response they gave me recently telling me that if I didn't want the charge I should have cancelled my membership by the end of the free trial.

Desired Outcome

I would like Shaw Academy to refund $69.99 to my PayPal account for the membership fee that I wasn't aware would be charged to me.

Shaw Academy Response • Jul 15, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
When I signed up for the course there was NO mention of automatic membership if I didn't cancel after the course. I took the online course in April and didn't even know they charged me until I saw a receipt from my PayPal account from Shaw Academy UK dated June 27. I would NOT have taken the course knowing this! My financial resource were tight in April and right now during Covid and $69.99 is a lot of money for an online course. I signed up for the FREE course during April when Covid was front page in everyone's news. I thought I might learn something useful for my career and figured I had nothing to lose since it was advertised as a FREE course. I repeat, NO where did I see anything about having to pay a membership fee after the course if I didn't push cancel somewhere. I would never have signed up for the course. I consider this false advertising and like others before me who felt scammed, I feel I should get a refund from Shaw Academy for $69.99.

Shaw Academy Response • Jul 17, 2020

We would like to inform you that the free course is only for 28 days as advertised. During the registration process the auto renewal along with the charge information are very clearly mentioned. However considering the current pandemic situation we have initiated a refund which will be credited back to the source in next 3-5 business days.

The company charged me $69.99 during my "free" 14 day trial. Customers service does not comply with refund request and appears to be a scam.
I signed up for a 14 day "free" trial. During the first 14 days I attempted to take a course but noticed I had to buy an additional $39.99 package. At that time I called to cancel and the customer service representative offered a complimentary package to try the services. Once I attempted to open the "free" package it charged me the $69.99 (the monthly fee). Several emails to customer service landed me with no refund or explanation why I was charged.

Desired Outcome

The refund of $69.99

Signed up for the trial, cancelled, and was charged
I signed up for the Shaw Academy free month trial and canceled about a week into it. I thought I was done with the cancellation but three weeks later I receive a charge on my account. I emailed them to tell them that I wanted a refund. I received a reply that stated they would not be able to give me a refund as I did not cancel within the trial period date and in the email offered me the 6 month access free of charge that they do to everyone they won't be giving a refund to. So, I replied and stated that I HAD cancelled weeks before and so I was adamant about the refund and asked if there was anything they could do about it, and if not I would be seeing my bank to help resolve this. No reply after 2 days so I sent another email and again no reply. And now I'm receiving emails saying 'I'm late for my class' which I haven't received since I cancelled weeks ago. I really don't like businesses that operate like this and make their money off of these 'trials'. Would not consider them in the future again and looks like I will have to resolve this with my bank.

Desired Outcome

Full refund for the month I was charged of 34.99 and account fully cancelled and closed.

Shaw Academy Response • Jul 14, 2020

Charged $80 for a membership I cancel, claim it was a certificate which was free and I never received
Hello, my name is ***, and on the 20th of June, I paused my Shaw Academy free membership. The free trial was set to expire on June 23rd, after which I would be charged. On June 21st, I unpaused my membership, which still should have been free, and completely cancelled it. However, I found that two separate charges of $39.95 were still billed to my credit card account. When I asked about this, they told me that those charges were for the eCertificate, which they could not refund me. When I finished my Shaw Academy course, the eCertificate was listed as free. Once I clicked it, nothing else happened. I was not given a link to print a certificate, nor was I given any more updates on it. Not to mention, almost $80 is too much for an eCertificate. Although I keep asking them to refund me my money, they keep telling me that it is against their Terms and Conditions to refund me. Not only that, they keep trying to get me to purchase a membership again by throwing in discounts and free weeks of the courses. At this point, I do not want to keep using their services, I don't even want my (supposedly free at the time) eCertificate. I just want my money back.

Desired Outcome

I want for them to refund and rescind any charges billed to my account.

Billed for a service I tried to cancel.
My account said I had two free days left of the trial and yet I was billed on a Saturday morning. This is important because when I went to go try to cancel, it turns out you cannot cancel by yourself and you must cancel over the phone during business hours. This information was not made clear to me. It is unethical to not allow someone to cancel online an online product on their own terms. It is also unethical to charge someone during a time when they are not able to cancel the product (such as the weekend).

They told me the product was cancelled on Monday morning, which I believe also removes my access to the product. They told me no refund was possible.

Desired Outcome

I would like to be refunded for the cost of the subscription that I was not informed was coming owing to the fact that I thought I still had free days left.

Shaw Academy Response • Jul 14, 2020

Hi ***,

We're sorry to hear you were less than satisfied with Shaw Academy.
We would like to make things right. Please email us at ***@shawacademy.com and I can help you sort this issue out as we cannot find your account with the email address "***@gmail.com".

unauthorized charge on my credit card. Automatic Subscription charged but never join or click yes to the next class.
I joined shaw academy for 4 weeks free class to see if I could continue but I didn't like the class at all. 7/8 is my last day and I didn't choose continue learning and didn't even click any of their class. They display too much ads and pushing too much to continue their class so the people can easily click on one of buttons. That was really lousy and bothered me a lot. They said that I could simply cancel the membership but they actually make me to call them and they persistently forced to continue the membership. I finally cancelled the membership But They charged me on 7/8 the last day of 4 weeks free sessions. They should never charge anything before the end of the last day, even though I didn't click anything in their next class. They must ask again and confirm that they may charge the membership fee by *** date. This Automatic subscription renewal charging system is a scam. Many companies today notify people before charging fees because of this kind issues. These are messy. This method can make people to offended by this company. I never been notified of this charge while they sending hundreds of text and email about class sales. I never authorized this charge and I want my money back.

Desired Outcome

money back

Shaw Academy Response • Jul 14, 2020

Hi ***,

I have reviewed your account as well as gone through your complaint. We would like to bring to your attention that the amount that has been debited from your account is for auto renewal of the course since you failed to cancel your account within the trial period. The auto renewal process is clearly mentioned in the terms and condition that you initially agreed to.

We would also like to inform you that we did send you the reminder notification, in order to view membership reminder notification, you will need to go into your member area (https://live.shawacademy.com/login) and select 'My Profile' and then 'Memberships & Payments'.

We request you to email us at ***@shawacademy.com for further assistance.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
1. I DID NOT FAIL TO CANCEL THE ACCOUNT WITHIN THE PERIOD. You need to Explain why you took the money before the free trial period was over. My four-week period begins June 15. If you charge before the end of the four-week period. You have to say EIGHT CLASS!! NOT ''WEEKS''!!!
2. You said I could always watch the recorded class if I missed it. But you're charging on the same day as the last class? You don't even give people the least amount of time to review the class and decide whether they want to continue or not. You should wait until '4 Weeks' period is perfectly over.

Shaw Academy Response • Jul 17, 2020

Hi ***,

We would like to inform you that the trial period is for 4 weeks as advertised and starts from the time you register with us. We have charged you after the after the end of trail period.

Regards,
Shaw Academy

Customer Response • Jul 18, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
No. You did not charge me after the 4 week trial period.
If you did that. Proof me!!
I am attaching my papal acct screen shot. You can clearly see that you charged me on the last day. Your company has to wait until the last day is over. And once again, You can't say it's 4 weeks. FOUR WEEKS makes too much confusion. What exactly end of the period from 6/15/2020 and What time? EST? PST??
And You have to mention that You're going to charge on the last day!! That way people can make decision before the last class!
And one more! Don't say we can cancel it at anytime at the first place! You need to give caution that people actually need to MAKE A PHONE CALL TO CANCEL.. If people realized after business hours, They would have to wait until the next day to make a call, which would miss another day. And so I did. That's another trick.

Shaw Academy Response • Jul 22, 2020

Hi ***,

We are sorry to hear about your experience and inconvenience caused to you.

We have now stopped the auto renewal and please be assured that you will not be charged way forward until you reactivate it. The membership will be cancelled at the end of term.

Shaw Academy

Customer Response • Jul 27, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Did you see what I attached last time? What on earth are you thinking of saying that you proceed the payment on July 9th? that was clearly on July 8th! And where did you specify that you will count 4 weeks, including the registration date, regardless of the 1st class? I'm sure many people think it starts counting from the first class. Don't fool everyone, but let them know clearly that four weeks, including the registration date, regardless of the date of the first class. Don't be too greedy for money from people who want to learn something.
And from the start, I asked you why you were charging before the free trial period ended. But you lied without answering.
I'm glad you refunded on mine. But if you ever checked bad feedback here and there, you need to give them refunds too.

Customer Response • Jul 27, 2020

And this was the final comment and I want to conclude this dispute.

Shaw Academy does not make it able to cancel a customers membership online. Instead it request that you call them in hopes you forget and they can
still charge your card.

Desired Outcome

I would like shaw academy to refund my bank for the filed dispute in the amount of 69.99
