Charged after free trial without reminders-charged for a lifetime membership I requested and also for a single lesson . Scam
I signed up for a free trial .I forgot about it . They prey on the fact that you forget about the trial and that if you don' t cancel before it end they charge you . I forgot about it. They charged me . They told me that they cannot refund me because I did not cancel . So I asked if I can use that money and pay extra to buy their lifetime membership . They accepted . I went to use a lesson and they charged me $ 39 dollars on top of that because their agent did not update my profile . So I asked for this money to be refund and he say that since is a purchase on my end he cannot refund me . Excuse me , I did buy a lifetime membership and if you did not charged me is not my fault but yours. They will scam you in a way or another , beware.

I want all my money back .

Please refund as well the money you charged from the beginning. You did not tell me that the trial ended . I feel like while this is your way of doing business . On purpose . The charges should be never happened as me and others complain about . I asked to your agent to charge me for a life tint membership and he did not . That is why I was charged extra $. I don' t want life time membership anymore and I want all my money refused . I will keep make complains once other websites. If you really are a reputable school you should not charge me in a sneaky way.

I' m aware of it now . Over ever the person who told me that he was going to start the lifetime membership took his time to do it .I don' t need to use your website or your lesson . Also you need to let people know before the trial expiration, before you are going to charge people. Is the same thing about the other extra money you charged me for the lesson, you pray on people ignorance for make your money and that is why you Don' t remind it to people or say it . Please refund me all my money , I did not want any of this . Is just a scam . Refund me before I call my bank or I submit other complain or I post it online as reviews. Is my money .

Is this the fees you charged without telling the free trial was expiring and the other part Thomas charged late for the lifetime membership, wich I did not want anymore because he took his time To process it? Refusing to give me a refund.
9th May I signed up to Shaw academy. A couple of days later I cancelled as I wasn't using it. Cancelled from the website a few times didn't hear anything. Then emailed to cancel. My last email I sent was on the 8th June. And it was finally cancelled on the 13th June. But then took £49.99 out my account even when I tried cancelling it a few days after I signed up. I'm now out of pocket and getting frustrated with trying to get hold of shaw academy. I've had to also cancel my card to stop taking more payments.

Desired Outcome

I would like a full refund of £49.99 as I did cancel it and email many times and cancelled fromm the site as well.

Shaw Academy processed an unauthorized charge on my credit card even if I did never purchased their services.

I ve seen a charge of USD69.99 in my credit card I didnt recognize identified as SAONLINECOSHAW ACADE and I tried to reach them by a phone attached that is not working.

I wrote by email saying that is illegal what they made and I want my money back and that ir what they said "

All that this company says is a lie! Wow! In just one week they have three different versions (as you can see in the attachments and the response). First they said there are no register with ***@gmail.com, then that I suscribed by iTunes and now that I suscribed signing in with my email.

And another inconsistency: if I subscribed by may 25 (wich is Definitely NOT true, why did they charged me June 22 if their contract says 30 days free trial?

This fraudulent company needs to stop scamming people! I dont know how they have my credit card info but I will no stop until they give me my money back, with lawyers and media support if needed.

Company refuses to refund me £39,95.they've lost accreditation in 2019 therefore can't provide valid certificate or accredited qualifications.
I've signed up for "free" 4 weeks photography course.I had to put payment details just incase i'd decide continue the course.I chose dates and times of classes and just before the first class meant to start I clicked on "start course" button.my screen turned white with info "processing payment",without even an option to cancel anything and I got confirmation that I purchased "tool kit".at first I thought "did I accidentally click something else"?so I instantly messaged them through pay pal asking for cancellation and a refund as I didn't intend to buy anything as I couldn't even afford it.heard nothing back.i've opened a case against them but because I never done it before I chose wrong option.they refused.then I appealed and provided them with screen shots of trustpilot website saying that they are under an investigation for nagging people to change their negative review to positive in exchange of refund.also showed them that it's a scam on big scale as 100s if not 1000s people were robbed by them.I of course contacted them first to billing team (as lady on the phone when I called to cancel my "course" could only cancel my course and couldn't do refund ) , I had no reply to it too . I joined "shaw academy scam" group on fb where other people scammed by them are trying to seek help and been advised to report unauthorised transaction to which pay pal refused refund and closed the case completely so I couldn't even appeal.I contacted pay pal though Twitter as well, I showed them all the prove of the scam and my right to refund and provided link to legalisation but even that didn't work as they said it's shaw academy is who I meant to be asking for refund . But they didn't reply so i've send them few more emails but got reply that i'm not entitled to refund. Then I got a call from a guy from shaw academy who was mumbling something under his nose , sounded like he just called to sell or advertise something because when I said I want my money back because they have no accreditation ,so they can't provide me with valid certificate or accredited qualifications! When he heard that he just said "i'll give u refund " and hung up.but I haven't received refund and I won't give up. They've lost accreditation in july 2019 therefore everything that they're offering and promising is a big lie and a fraud . I'm 1000% entitled to my refund and they're breaking the law by refusing it . Service is not as described as I won't get qualifications promised while I was signing up ! It's a disgrace what they are doing to people especially during such a hard time . I really hope u can help me as pay pal is useless and supports scammers !

I thought I was registering for a 4-week free trial -two days later my account was charged $69.99 and $39.95.
I thought I signed up for a 4-week free trial of a graphic design course by answering an ad on FaceBook. I saw that my pay-pal account had posted two payments to Shaw Academy for $69.99 and $39.95. I sent a letter asking for a refund because this was a free trial and I had till July 15th to cancel. They responded saying they can't find my records and to resend my pay-pal account # and other info.After this I received another email from Shaw saying that I did not cancel before the trial period ended and that they do not give refunds. I could avail myself of a 6 month course. I then contacted pay-pal and they have not been able to help at all - I finally gave up.

Desired Outcome

I need to have the $69.99 and 39.59 refunded to my account. I've also spent days trying to get a refund and trying to get pay pal to help. I am stressed and frustrated. This on top of my age 77 and being stuck in a 550 sq ft. apartment for 3+ months with no contact with friends or family except on line. If possible I would like some compensation for this distressing week! $15 an hour for 8 hours would be fair. = $120

It is not true that everything was explained clearly. My response was to send the info you requested - it was not intended as authorizing a payment, it was my lack of understanding due to the un clear information.
I have not taken any classes or used any "tools" and again am asking you for refund. I do not wish to take this course. I did not even use anything you charged me for. I found 6 similar claims on Revdex.com scam tracker. They cited the above email as the main problem. This issue has caused much distress, depression and anxiety. Please refund the $69.99 and $39.95. Perhaps if you adopt ethical business practices you will make more money because of positive reviews. And it would be a boon to the whole world if you stop hurting the poor and elderly.

1) You have still not shown me proof of my authorization to charge my pay pal account for either of the charges - $39.95 or $69.99. Please post these proofs here for Revdex.com to see!
2) In one of your emails you stated:
"We are unable to process subscription refunds unfortunately after the trial expiry, as per the terms and conditions.
However, we can confirm your membership is cancelled thus ensuring no further payments will be processed.
We are also providing you with 6-months access totally free of charge worth of $399, the least we can do is ensure you benefit from our professional certifications, so we can turn this unfortunate event in to a neutral, if not positive immediately. You will be able to complete the courses you initially joined and many other courses."
Is this offer still available? If so AND if I choose to accept this, please show how I can access all these courses/classes and the "tool kit" you claim I purchased. So far I have not seen anything - no class, no "tool kit" absolutely nothing! This information may be in one of your emails but I need to see it here so Revdex.com can back me up. I no longer trust Shaw Academy!!!
3) I also have a big problem with not being able to access the classes or "tool kit" on my computer - I remember seeing that these could only be accessed on iphone or ipad. I do not have an ipad an since I am 77, have arthritis and poor eyesight it is difficult to do anything on my phone!
I still want my $69.99 and 39.95 refunded as it is a great hardship for people like me on food stamps.
Also I found there are even more complaints on Revdex.com for Shaw Academy - I now see 8 complaints. All claiming the same as I that they did not authorize the charges and some say that they got the same email asking for their Pay Pal account# and email address! Yes, I agree we are stupid for answering that email. That is how most sources list of one of the red flags that we are being scammed. But as I said I am 77, my mind does not work as fast as it used to and I was excited about a 4-week free trial. So sad! One more question for you - is this the reason you claim to not give refunds?

I responded no as I only saw the $39 refund. I just saw the second refund for $69 - I have been refunded in full. Thank you so much!

I want to remove my payment method or delete my account but I am having a lot of difficulty.
I signed up for a free trial but then I found out that I would be busy so I decided to cancel normally after I cancel a account service I will remove my payment method or delete my account to stop accidental payments but when I tried to do this it did not let me. when I tried to remove the payment method every time it would try then say token expired so I tried to delete my account but I found that I had to email them and I cant get a reply I have tried calling them too but no answer I am worried that they might charge my account even though the service was cancelled.

It is what I have asked for

Shaw teaches online classes. Class I took (for free) was not as advertised. Tried to return course material (paid for. $40). Will not accept return.
I signed up for a free trial of Shaw academy to take an investing class. I thought I was taking a day trading class, however it was to trade assets that the US doesn't regulate and therefore cannot be traded on US soil. While the class was free, I did it for course material. Shaw refuses to accept blame and refund on the material.

Desired Outcome

I just want them to send me my $40 back. It was unjustified and the class was misleading. The course material is purchased and with one click and doesn't give a confirmation option.

There has been fraud done on my account and my details have been compromised card has been used and shaw charged me
I have been charged by shaw academy whom which I have no idea who they are or have I ever signed up to use them. They charged my card fraudulently and will not refund me my money back as the bank told me I need to call them and ask for a refund.

I clicked on the 4 week trial offer they had. I cancelled it same day but not before I got charged 45.99 for something I didn't want.
I wanted to check out what they were offering for a beauty course. I signed up for the 4 week TRIAL offer they had and was trying to navigate the website to see what I could check out on the trial. I was emailed and texted after this many times. Afterwards while going through the website I clicked on a spot on the website and it directly charged me through PayPal accidentally as I didn't mean to click anything on the site and usually if you have to be charged for something ou at least get a confirmation before you pay. There was no confirmation nothing. I have been emailing them telling them I want a refund as I did not want their services. They would send automatic replies and make excuses why it was no convenient for them to refund and they kept asking me to sign back up with more offers instead of just letting me leave and get my money back. I cancelled the agreement same day with PayPal and set up a dispute with PayPal which I'm currently waiting on a resolution. I just want to be done with them and get my money back from the shady company who have many bad reviews from others who have also gone through all this too.

I wish to have my 45.99 refunded and for them to leave me alone and not take anymore money from me.

It was a trial period and I cancelled the same day I started the trial and decided I did not want to co to use the service so it is only fair I am refunded for a service I do not want to use. Any school would refund a course if a student decided to cancel in a predetermined time frame which I did. I am well within my right to have my my money refunded as I cancelled in the trial period and I'm not giving them free money for a service I wouldn't use.

I want acknowledgement of the fact that they have had many complaints and bad reviews about them and they still don't think it's wrong to keep people's money when they don't want the service anymore. Goodwill gesture my ***. They are scam artists and thief's and they need to be shut down. Many people had to go to the credit cards to fight for their money back as they people will do anything to get free money even when people cancel service in a trial. A trial means you get to try the service for no money I cancelled same day so I was definitely entitled to my money back as after reading the reviews and the emails saying that is was I convenient for them to give me my money back I didn't want to do business with them.

I was charged for 2 months after I canceled the free trial subscription. When I tried to cal about my refund, the number they provided was wrong.
After I signed up for the free trial, which they charged me $0.50 for, I canceled it. Then they charged me anyway, so I went to the website to make sure I canceled it and the gave me a number that proved I did so when I called the number they provided, it ended up being a lady that said they've been giving her number to people who tried to cancel their memberships. So after I unsubscribed from their and deleted all my information They charged me again this month and 2 days earlier then last month and I have not being to contact anyone about my refund. And since I deleted my account I can't even go back on the website, now it says error 404. All I want is my money back and then to delete my card info and stop charging me. They owe me $140.

The resolution I want it to receive my $140 back and proof that they deleted my card information and won't charge me or email me anymore even though I already unsubscribes to everything.

This company has a scam "One-click" purchase. I fell victim to spending over $40 on day one of a FREE TRIAL.
I purchased a 4 week FREE TRIAL with Shaw Academy. I was excited to start my graphic design journey as I am a YouTube vlogger and influencer. I figured this would help me grow my brand. I have set up on my phone in the settings a protective payment authorization on ALL payments made (requiring a passcode *** fingerprint). After trying to learn how to navigate the website and student platform- a "toolkit" was described and as I tapped it to learn more- the item was purchased charging my card $40+ . This was not intended and I immediately contacted the support team to have the item removed as I never even ACCESSED it. They said no. Since I purchased it- I had to keep it. I explained to them as the site isn't truly scroll friendly considering the pop ups - they still refused a refund and as an individual struggling - I explained this was not the time for me to make these outlandish purchases especially with me only joining as part of a FREE trial. I have requested to have my payment information to be removed and have yet to have that done. Their "one-click" purchase superseded my Apple phone settings which I was not even sure was possible. I understand I will have to take my $40+ as a loss but would like this to be filed as I have been invited to join a group of others victimized by this company's conniving payment schemes and lack of refund or service.

Desired Outcome

If possible- I would like all funds charged to be refunded as I have not even accessed what "I purchased" nor have I even continued the "free trial" given this horrible service an "ACADEMY" is providing to students.

This was not an approved purchase. I will not accept that you cannot refund a purchase I never MADE and I will not accept a purchase that I never used. I have not once attended your program nor accessed this so-called purchase. Your system has a touch sensitivity that resulted in a "purchase" I IMMEDIATELY reached out for a resolution and your program tried to offer me "$600" in promotional products. This is a common practice and I refuse to allow you to continue charging me for items I am not approving or using. We are in a global pandemic WHY WOULD ANYONE MAKE THIS KIND OF PURCHASE.

I signed up for a month's free trial for a course.Straight away they charged 3p and then gave it back. I then requested a cancellation which I eventually got an email for. and now they have charged me £49.99 for services I haven't even requested! please investigate and clamp down on this fraudulent, scam of a company. They are taking advantage of the lockdown to scam people in good faith, how can this be allowed?

THIS IS A SCAM! I was fooled into accepting the free trial by Shaw Academy. When I went to cancel the trial I was not able to. I also am not getting a response from costumer service. This site should be shut down. I would like for them to contact me and my bank asap.

Shaw Academy stole $69.99 from my account with no authorization to do so.
I began my 4 week free trial on May 10, 2020 and cancelled it via phone on June 1, 2020. Shaw Academy's agent Moegamat B assured me that my subscription had been cancelled and that I would not be charged. He insisted on adding a complimentary 30 days to my account, which I informed him I did not wish for and would not use. He again assured me that I would not be charged. On July 1, 2020 at 11:47 AM, Shaw Academy automatically charged my account $69.99. They refused to acknowledge that the payment was unauthorized when I contacted them by email. Their phone numbers are disconnected.

Desired Outcome

I will be satisfied with no less than a refund and will continue to pursue this as long as I need to.

I called prior to the trial ending. Thank you for refunding the charge.

Even though I went through a terribly long cancellation process, they still found a way to draft my card.
March 8th I signed up for Shaw Academy's free-trial with the intention to learn photography tips. After completing one class I no longer felt their training or tools were beneficial for me. This caused me to no longer engage in their free trial weekly classes. Prior to the ending of my free trial, since I knew I no longer wanted to partake in their FREE SERVICES I chose to cancel my subscription to avoid any payments for services I did not want on April 2nd. My cancellation request #XXXXXXX. I had to go through multiple calls of Shaw Academy trying to convince me to stay, which I persistently denied and then was required to email them to cancel which I proceeded to do as well. Where they offered me another free trial that I declined and even acknowledging I had "dropped out" of their classes. Under the impression all my services were cancelled along with my card information being removed, I was charged $59.99 from my credit card because they wanted to claim they restarted my services, without me acknowledging anything or entering card information, or even having any interaction with the company since date of cancellation. After explaining I did not even interactive with the company since cancellation where there weren't even any services used (Ticket #: XXXXXXX), Renny (Shaw Academy) proceeded to offer more services that I already explained I did not want because my account was drafted.

Desired Outcome

I only would like my payment of $59.99 refunded back to me. There is nothing I want from this company.

6, I DID NEVER PURCHASED ANYTHING, THEY CHARGED $45,00 THAT'S UNFAIR, BECASE THE OFFER 4 WEEKS FOR FREE AND NO CHARGED AND THEN THEY DO.

I never ordered anything. I was just charged. And if you go on google reviews about this site you will see that a whole bunch of people feel the same. This is the wrong time to be scamming people. I did not order anything period. I was just charged. I have no longer gone on the site. This is ludicrous.

Just in case a customer has failed to see that, we have also added a disclaimer on the banner itself. We are sorry to inform you that the refund is not possible. Refund are given in situation where we as an organisation have failed to cancel the account even after the customer has requested to cancel before the trial period. As long as what has last been stated is true which is a refund I will be satisfied. I just hope it's a total refund.

This company is scamming people by offering free courses but then, once signed up with PayPal, they have numerous one click purchase buttons.
After signing up for free courses, you have a 'subscription' payment with them and so they are able to take money from your account with one click purchases which are impossible to remove from your computer without actually purchasing. They don't give any explanation for what these purchases are such as their toolkits... I enrolled to do an excel course but it was in fact made in 2013 so really old and I am still none the wise as to what a tool kit for an excel course would be and why you would need one? In addition they offer you a certificate but again, these are just pieces of paper - they are not actually affiliated with any teaching body so worthless. When I realised what had happened, I requested a refund, but they refused saying I had downloaded the tool kit - untrue. And although in the UK, any purchase is covered by laws which state that you can request a full refund, they just stop responding to emails and therefore it's impossible to talk to them. They offer all sorts of deals but not refunds. There are now several facebook pages and IG accounts as there are so many people being scammed, in addition, trust pilot is investigating how reviews are written as it would appear they are not genuine.

I just want to get my money back. I have lost my job, there is no work and they have taken £120 pound from me.
