Tried canceling subscription simply online, only to find you had to call a number which they only answer between 9am-5pm.
I had a free trial subscription. On the last day of the trial I tried to cancel. I go to the website to cancel to see they don't let you simply cancel online. They make you call a number (in which they hassle you to spend more money) The catch is they don't tell you that you have to call this number BETWEEN 9am-5pm or the recording won't answer and you won't be able to cancel your subscription in the time frame you're supposed to.I see they referred to Netflix for subscriptions, Netflix allows you to easily cancel their subscription EASILY. No numbers called or emails written. If you're going to make people call a number to cancel Something knowing you have trial periods. Why not make the number readily available for customers to call at anytime. They don't even have representatives, it's a recording. Then they try to say you can't get a refund that's not how a business is supposed to work. If the customer isn't happy and wants a refund you issue them a refund. This school is a scam. Please don't put you're card information on the website or you will be charged some type of way. So yea I need y'all to go ahead and process my refund.
Desired Outcome
I want a FULL refund of my hard earned $69.99

I was charged twice for a "free course". I signed up for a 4 week course and was charged $69 dollars in two separate occasions.
I signed up for a free 4 week course at Shaw Academy, but I couldn't make it to my classes so I cancelled my class. I was still charged $69 dollars! I signed up on their advertisement that said the course was FREE. The horrible, cruel, scam that happened next was the real disaster. I thought it was over after they tricked me into paying, yet a few months later I got a second charge! I got billed again $69.00 for no reason. I have never attended a single class and I cancelled!! I clicked cancel classes so many times I am so confused and I feel tricked.
Desired Outcome
I want to be removed from my classes, cancel my membership forever, and be refunded $69.00

Hi ***,
We're sorry to know you were less than satisfied with Shaw Academy and hope you will accept our sincerest apologies. As we are unable to find any records of you contacting us to cancel your account, we would kindly request you to share any kind of supporting documents (Email or Call Logs) stating you tried to cancel your account, which would help us in the case investigation and with the refund process. Please email us at ***@shawacademy.com.
I signed up for their free trial in April but canceled shortly after (2 weeks).
I was then charged 69.99 a few days after.
They lied about my refund.
I am SOOO disgusted with SHAW ACADEMY, I had such high hopes and so much respect for them!
I signed up for their free trial in April but canceled shortly after (2 weeks).
I thought it was strange that I kept receiving text message + email reminders, but paid it no mind.
On June 18th, they charged me $69.99!!!
I did NOT authorize this charge and want my refund ASAP!
I wrote my first review about them on TrustPilot on the 19th, and sent them an email as well, they responded back to me on the 20th stating that my funds had been refunded and I would be receiving it within 4-5 business days (that would've been June 26th LATEST). After checking my account at 12 midnight and not seeing my refund, I then reached out to them again on (6/27) at 1:30 pm, only to receive this in response:
Dear Student,
Thank you for reaching out to us,
We are sorry, this email is discontinued. Please contact our support team at (insert their email)

Shaw Academy
Discontinued??? What does that even mean???
What type of sick game are you playing Shaw Academy??
You should take better pride in your business (by teaching your staff to the proper thing to do).
Desired Outcome
I want my money refunded. If possible, for them to be shut down.
They have THOUSANDS of similar cases. It doesn't appear so at first glance because they delete/block negative comments on social media. They also have people place positive comments on TrustPilot.
They lie about refunding and never actually do it. This company does NOT operate on morals and do not deserve to be operating. It's sick to be stealing people's money, especially at a time like this. So disgusting!

That is not true. I have an email from you that confirms my cancellation on May 26, 2020. And I just got an email from you guys saying that you saw that I cancelled and offering me a 6 month membership. I DO NOT WANT THE MEMBERSHIP! I WANT MY MONEY BACK BECAUSE IT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN TAKEN IN THE FIRST PLACE! it's upsetting me because even on the phone line you guys will make all these promises when someone tries to cancel and still take their money anyway. Also you're saying you have no records but Shaw academy just emailed and say they saw that I had cancelled. Both emails are attached below.

Thank you
There is no free 4 weeks plan. Shaw Academy charged me without my consent right after 3 days when I signed up for free trial.
I saw Facebook ad so I signed up 4 weeks free course on SEO digital marking on 21/06/2020. The class was great until I saw they charged me £49.99 without my authorisation on 23/06/2020. I did not purchase anything. All I did was sign up which includes offering them credit card details. I can't believe they just
abuse my personal details to steal money from me in 3 days time. Two day ago I cancelled my membership and emailed them to request my money back. All I have received is an auto reply said they will be getting in touch in 48 hours. So I waited until now. No one has contacted me since then.
Desired Outcome
Give my money back and delete all of my personal details from your company.

On email reply they said I unlocked module 2 and they only offer free courses on module 1 so they charged me.
On Trust pilot they replied and said I manually unlocked module 1 so they charged me.
Now in here this company said I have paid Shaw Academy Premium Membership - Monthly Subscription and it is not refundable!
As you have reviewed my account at least 3 times, do you have any conclusions to decide what you really wanted me to pay for?
So far I was charged one time for 3 different purchase.

I have received the refund. Thank You
Shaw Academy have taken £39.95 out of my paypal account without warning.
I registered for a free online social media course with Shaw Academy on the 27th June 2020. I was under the impression the company were going to take £0.30 out of my PayPal account, then refund it to put me through their system. There didn't seem to be another way to register other than providing them with my PayPal details.
I had an email from Shaw Academy on 29th June 2020 telling me to get ready for my first class and included a button reading "Get your toolkit now". I clicked the button thinking it was free (understandably, the course is advertised as free and the button had no "buy now"). As soon as I clicked the button, £39.95 was taken out of my PayPal account by Shaw Academy!
I contacted PayPal, they said they can't help as it was an "agreement" made with Shaw Academy (which is not true. Shaw Academy have made this agreement themselves. I had no knowledge of paying any amount of money). PayPal don't have the power to intervene and suggested I contact the company directly. PayPal have cancelled the "agreement" so Shaw Academy cannot charge any more.
I didn't attend the class on 29th June as I was worried I'd be tricked into paying more money without my permission. I had an email on 29th June again reading "you're late for your first class!". I replied reasoning why I won't be joining the classes, I don't trust them now. I'm worried if I use any other materials or click on any other buttons I'll get charged again. I complained and requested a refund for their mistake.
"Gomes" replied to my email, claiming that I had "purchased" the toolkit through the email button "buy now". I have proof that this is not the case, a screenshot of the email including the button I clicked. It reads "Get your toolkit now". It does not say "buy now". He made me an offer of receiving credit to the value of $199 to use on their website for other course materials.
I replied I don't accept this offer. I asked how can I be so sure that this isn't yet another scam in which the company will take more of my money? I attached a screenshot of the email which had the button, I digitally drew a circle around the button so this was clear to Gomes. I reiterated the fact that it did not say "buy now". It said nothing but "Get your toolkit now". I didn't attend any classes. I haven't used the tool kit I've been forced to pay £39.95 for, I haven't used any of their materials. These are digital, not physical products and therefore have no sign of wear/no damage. So I don't see why I can't get a refund.
Gomes responded and said the refund is "not at all convenient" and said that they would like to offer me "unlimited services". He wrote he has extended my access by three months, free of charge. I cannot bring myself to trust this company again.
Gomes replied "the refund is not at all convenient" for Shaw Academy. I responded I think he misunderstood my previous emails. I said I don't want to use the course, and am uninterested in how much value the company wants to give me unless it's the £39.95 back into my PayPal account. How do I know that this "free three months" is actually free? I said I don't trust them as you can imagine, because I have had an amount of money taken from my account without my permission. As a student, £39.95 is a large amount of money to lose especially with COVID-19. I told him the fact that I've lost this money through no fault of mine is surprisingly inconvenient to me and that I am totally uninterested in what is inconvenient to them in this moment in time.
Gomes responded and said "Unfortunately, the issue remains that you have clicked on the button to purchase and it clearly states that a purchase will go through". This was not the case, as I've already proven. It states "get your toolkit now". I've repeated myself again as they don't seem to understand that they're false advertising and attempting to steal money from vulnerable people.
I have the emails as proof. I will attach the screenshot I've mentioned.
Desired Outcome
I want Shaw Academy to rectify their mistake, and refund me my £39.95 back into my PayPal account. I also want them to delete any of my information or any of my personal details they have.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Finally I have received my refund.
I assumed I canceled a free trial. The process was overly confusing. I was charged twice and am unable to get a refund from them.
At the beginning of May I signed up for a free trial of Shaw Academy. I was told to put in my credit card info to protect fraud and that I would not be charged after the trial. I set up a reminder to double check my cancellation anyway. When the end of May came (and a rather lackluster class was over) I attempted to cancel my account and believed I succeeded. I was not notified I was to be charged again. It wasn't until June 29th when I noticed a charge was pending for $69.99 (I would later discover a second, identical charge was charged on June 1st). I promptly reached out to Shaw's Customer service. They have no phone service line that would help me. It took a day for a reply to get back to me. In the meantime I ensured I canceled my subscription to their service and was met with a number of dark patterns trying to trick me into staying. Once I reached the end of the online portion, I was prompted to call a phone number. However, the office was closed so I'd need to call tomorrow. I called the number first thing in the morning and was not met with a human voice once (I don't know why I couldn't have called this robot outside of office hours. If I had been on the edge of a pay period, this could've have cost me another payment of $69.99). The phone call was far to long and included more dark patterns and was trying to convince me to stay with a barrage of offers and such. I also changed my credit card believing they would likely find a way to charge me again. I finally got a reply back on June 30th from Allen. He informed me a refund is impossible (he did not address The specifics of my issues) despite me not using their services and it very clearly being a mistake. He offered me yet another free gift that I was not interested in. I denied the gift, I only want the refund, he doubled the gift but again was unable to refund me. He claimed it is due to the terms I agreed to. But I remember the terms differently and also was under the impression I canceled anyway.
Desired Outcome
I would like my account to remain canceled, and I would like a refund of $139.98 to my account (the exact amount they charged me over two charges).

As you can imagine, I didn't take any screenshots because I did not assume records would need to be kept. I thought this company would be reputable. I also shouldn't need to. I didn't use your services at all during the period I was charged, I thought I canceled but the process Shaw sets up to cancel is designed to confuse, trick, and frustrate people into not canceling. However we have reviewed your account and would like to inform you that the first email we received from you was on 30 June stating that you were informed you will not be charged even after the trial period. We are not sure where you received this information, as our terms and conditions have not been changed in the recent past and nor it states this statement. Well that being said we would like to inform that as you failed to cancel your account within the trial period the system has auto renewed and charged your account as mentioned in the Ts & Cs which you agreed during the registration process. As a goodwill gesture we have initiated a refund for the last transaction ($69.99 USD) which will be credited back to the source in next 3-5 business days. We have also deactivated your account.

While at another site, I was redirected to the Shaw Academy site. It fraudulently indicated that it had free courses. I never signed up but was billed
The Shaw Academy site fraudulently indicates that it initially signing up for a course with them is free. The fact is that, while you "can sign up for free," there is no coursework that you can actually take without paying an exorbitant amount for the documentation. Prior to agreeing to this farce, I chose not to proceed. Despite never giving the site permission to do so, I was, nevertheless billed. There is no way to contact the site. The phone number indicates that it is not working. Not a single one of the 26 emails that I have sent them have been responded to. When I filed a claim with my bank, they waited almost four months and, for reasons yet unexplained to me, my bank returned money from my account to Shaw. I have found that the only way to deal with the matter is to sue Shaw Academy and my bank due pursuant to their violations of the federal interstate banking regulations; which I will be doing next week.
Desired Outcome
Full refund of money taken from my bank and losses incurred because of Shaws actions.

49.99 GBP taken from me when it was never authorised or stated I would be charged. Scam.
About a month ago, I saw an advertisment on Instagram for a Graphics Design course that was originally 49.99 GBP but was now FREE. I signed up for it, and gave my PayPal details for confirmation as it asked for it. However, it was never stated that I was actually signing up for a subscription, and that after 4 weeks I would be charged. It was advertised to me as if it was usually a one time payment for the course, but I would get it for free. 4 weeks later, 49.99 GBP has been taken from me. I never authorised this, and was completly unaware I would be charged. I contacted PayPal, and they cannot help. I contacted Shaw Academy themselves and they told me it was a non-refundable subscription (which, again, I was never made aware of).
I have attached an image of the ad I saw. You can clearly see that it has 49.99 GBP crossed out, and now says "NOW FREE".

I have mentioned this so many times to Shaw Academy themselves through email, as well as PayPal: I was NEVER told that what I was signing up for was a subscription. I was told it was originally a one time payment, but I would get it completely FREE.
I also think that the fact that this payment is non-refundable makes it all seem so much more shady. I've never had any problem like this with other subscription services eg. Netflix, Disney Plus, Amazon Prime and many more.
For a company not to allow refunds within a certain time period after the customer has been charged is very fishy and unprofessional.
And yet, once again, I was never even told it was a subscription. Outrageous.

Firstly, I have attached the same file I attached previously of a screenshot of the ad I saw. I've said this so many times but there is no mention of a subscription.
Secondly, with almost every subscription service, there is always an option to issue a refund within a small timeframe for whatever the customer has been charged. This is usually because customers forget to cancel subscriptions. Example, I once forgot to cancel my Amazon Prime before it charged me. I went on the website to cancel it and, without even going through customer service, there was an option to refund my previous payment and cancel the subscription. Once again, it is very unprofessional and shady that Shaw Academy does not do the same, and many people who have gone through the same as I have with yourselves would agree with me.
Also, do keep in mind that I am a 16 year old. £49.99 is a big deal for me, and I had no clue that I would be charged as I have mentioned over and over again. It all feels very unfair and I feel scammed from my money, especially since I wasn't satisfied with the course I signed up for in the first place.

That was a lie. you charged me before it was even up. REFUND MY MONEY.

They refuse to issue a refund after I cancelled the free trail
I did the free trial, during this time was inundated with 3 to 5 sales emails Every day & the odd phone call despite choosing the option for it being purely for personal growth, not for business in any way. When I tried to cancel it on the last day of the trial their website gave me a phone number to call but said they only operated between 9am to 5pm EST. It was just after 2pm and I'm on PST. So it was too late, despite my not even finishing the free trial yet. There appeared to be nothing I could do so I got up early the next day to make the cancellation phone call first thing. But they had already taken out a payment that I did not want to make. I contacted them explaining the situation & asking for a refund but they refused. I am not working due to the Covid situation & they appear to be heartless. Nowhere in their T&C's did it say I would have to make a phone call on EST to cancel. This is not fair on me and I need the money back as I am on an extremely tight budget and nearly zero money coming in. I'm sure the money is nothing to them but it's everything to me. I think this company is nothing short of a scam
Desired Outcome
I would like a refund of the $34.99 CAD they took from my account

Their cancellation system did not allow me to cancel the account the day before the trial ended. This is their fault and not mine. I have explained this to them in detail. They require you to make a phone call to eastern Canada on EST which meant it was too late for me to call because the Opening hours stated On their website say 9am - 5pm. It had just gone 2pm PST as I am on the west coast and I could do nothing to prevent them taking my money despite it only being the afternoon. I followed the instructions on their website which was if I want to cancel I have to make the phone call. This should be stated in their T&C's - it is not!

I got the refund I was owed
Paid for the course, was told i'd receive an email to set up account. Never received email, even after contacting the company.
I purchased lifetime access that's supposed to include 3 additional spots of lifetime access for friends and family on a 99% off sale. After entering my card information, it brought me to a page stating that I would receive an email with instructions to create my account. I never received and email from Shaw Academy. I then contacted them through their website explaining my issue, and haven't received a response back. I feel like I've bewn robbed! Shaw Academy must be a total scam. They ask users to post reviews in a biased way, which is dishonest, indecent, and wrong. I feel as though my personal information is now at risk, as I have since read many reviews about Shaw Academy, and they seem like a bunch of crooks! I want my money back! And I want my peace of mind back knowing that my card information is safe!
Desired Outcome
I want my money back! I don't believe Shaw Academy actually has any real courses to offer, so a refund is the only resolution that would be satisfactory to me.

Hai ***, We have reviewed your account and would like to confirm that we have charged $125.00 USD for the purchase (Shaw Academy Lifetime Membership) you made via our one-click purchase option. As per our Terms and Condition mentioned to you during the registration this is a non-refundable charge, however, as a goodwill gesture, We have initiated a refund which will be credited back to the source in the next 3-5 business days.
Cancellation Issue. Requires a phone call after confirming 4 times I wanted to cancel.
After realizing their Photography course wasn't for me (about 2 minutes into the first "lesson") I followed the steps to cancel, then confirmed I wanted to cancel, then confirming I wanted to cancel knowing what I was losing, then confirming 2 more times they required a phone call to a business on the East Coast. They require a "student ID #. I emailed this company my wish to cancel along with my "student ID # and have not heard back from them. After receiving SEVERAL phone calls at all hours before the first "Class" I find it hard to believe there is no one to field my call. I JUST WANT TO CANCEL.
Desired Outcome
I just want to cancel and insure they do NOT charge me. I also want all the phone calls and emails to stop please.

We are sorry to let you down with this experience. However, we would surely want to help you with the same, As per your request, we have gone ahead and cancelled your subscription going forward you will not be receiving any notification regarding this issue.
I have been unable to reach a representative for "confirming my cancellation". Also, I was unwarrantedly billed for a item that I did not want/use.
During my one month free trial with Shaw Education, I was unwarrantedly charged for a "toolkit" in which I did not want nor did I used. The payment amount was $39.95 on June 5th, 2020 and I was charged with the debit card that I used to sign up for the course that I was taking. After this, I have decided that I wanted to cancel the membership but when trying to reach them on June 29th, 2020, I have yet to be able to reach a representative as I was left ringing for over 2 minutes.
Desired Outcome
I wish that my card will not be charged for the $70, a refund of the $39.95, and that my account will be terminated.

The company took money for something I didn't buy and insist I did buy it. Also will not let me cancel my subscription
I signed up to shaw academy as I wanted to learn. It's a shame I didn't do my due diligence on the company as I would have found out that they have caused pain for so many people by taking their money. But sadly I did sign up, the course material was not worth paying for and I ended up with £39.95 being removed from my account on Friday 26th June as apparently I had clicked on a 'One-click purchase' advertisement. Which I had not done. Also they bombard you with those ads, and phone calls and texts and emails.
I have no purchase date or any detail along those lines as ai wasn't sent any confirmation of transaction- all I know is that the money was taken from my account that day.
I told them my case on the 27th June, that I hadn't clicked on the ad and that I had been charged for something I didn't buy- Gomes(the person who replies to my emails) told me I couldn't get a refund due to the terms and conditions that are 'easily available'. Anyway, I have sent numerous emails and keep getting offered free stuff. In my latest encounter (30th June) I was offered $500 of free stuff, this to me raises red flags. They are willing to give me $500 worth of stuff in exchange for £39.95- that's not a way to run a business.
I have also been trying to cancel my membership for the past 5 days. Something which they have been unable to do- not sure why this has been so difficult for them.
Desired Outcome
I would like a refund of £39.95 into my account. Not in any other form
I would also like them to cancel my subscription and assure me I will not be charged in the future.
I also want them to delete all my details from their database- account and personal

Hai ***, We are extremely sorry for the unpleasant experience with us, We have reviewed your account and would like to confirm that we have charged £39.95 GBP for the purchase (E Certificate for Professional Diploma in Web Development Module 1) made via our Auto-renewal option, As per our Terms and Condition mentioned to you during the registration this is a non-refundable charge hence we would not be able to refund that amount, Our intention was not to upset you in any way.
An unauthorized pending charge was placed on my account same day I was closing trial for something I have no idea for,was told I couldn't be refunded
I was attempting to cancel my free trial because I wasn't doing the work,I failed the two assignments I did,I just wasn't feeling how the courses were being done so I was in my account getting out of all my classes that I once was interested in but none I was interested in enough to purchase anything for the classes that had to be paid for separately well I was going to message them after I got out the classes as I finished that I had a Message from my card account PayPal stating that I had a pending transaction of $39.95 as soon as I seen I cancelled my card and wrote to Shaw Academy about this issue they stated that it couldn't be refunded because it was done kit for the class and for diploma which I still didn't understand what this thing was they stated it was final and I stated I never purchased this for anything to be final it stated it was for blogging which I never would of bought anything for no blogging class so I know I didn't purchase this.I looked in the membership part of my account looking to see why they still had my card info and there it was from when I registered for the free trial which never was stated that it was going be up there to be used for any purpose at all besides for being charged for the service after the trail which I still had like 20days left of my trial a long time but I wanted it cancelled which I was doing prior to this.but where my card info it stated for security reasons the CVV would have to be put in to be charged which it wasn't& I didn't put it in for any other purchase besides the thing for the trail so how can the keep charging my card then they state per there policies that I couldn't be given an refund which is crazy it's not like I purchased this thing and changed my mind after clicking on it and looking at it and deciding I didn't want it but that's not the case,I contacted Shaw Academy right when I seen it after seconds after my notification from the card company&it was still even pending for a day and half before the lifted the pending transaction to complete transaction. But they keep telling me they couldn't refunded no matter what the cause was, they called trying to sale me another special I even spoke to the person asking if I could speak to someone dealing with me situation as well he stated that it had to be taken care of only threw email, that he would email them regarding me situation, even himself stated that it shouldn't be a issue to get a refund being that I never wanted this to be purchased or to have purchased any extra items,Even emailing from him and me informing them I spoke to an employee and they even sent email with guy I spoke to for a survey,& me asking for someone to call me not email till this day still no person contact no number to call only contact was threw email, they kept offering to spend more money or to give me more then I was unauthorizly charged for,for a discount but still they wanted me to have to still purchase &spend more money it's ridiculous how the customers service was then was told they added stuff to my account which I didn't cancel it left it how everything was when I was received the unauthorized pending transaction notification, but I paused everything so they couldjt say my account was closed that was another reason I couldn't be refunded but as I did the was no classes or anything just my info nd card number which I also asked to be removed which they stated I had to email them to have it removed.. All They did was said the added some more things which also say is purchased never explained how it would be used or what for being I am not in any classed as I stated & told them when I was canceling my trail but even if that was for replacement of there mistake they still not replacing my money,b/c I still have to buy more time to use it by time this resolved trial would expire. My card account *** closed so if they refunded it would have to be deposited into ACCOUNT#XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX& ROUTING#XXXXXXXXX
Desired Outcome
REFUNDED & to be deposited into My ACCOUNT#XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX& ROUTING#XXXXXXXXX

This wasn't a charge for a auto Renewables charge it was an unauthorized charge of $39.95 for some certification for some extra tools,I honestly don't know what it was for being that they said it was for some blogging class, which I wasn't even doing work neither getting the classes to work the way it was supposed to,in order to keep up in order to be able to do classes&work.I had decided I no longer wanted to take part in the classes, so I was in the process of clearing out my classes & ending the trial when I was notified of a unauthorized pending charge It was done right then,I tried to make contact with Shaw&was informed I had to contact by email only..Which I did&bank. Which I had to end up closing that account,& they took out a fraud cases with you all but Shaw said in an email that you would give me a refund even tho I didn't do it,don't even what it was for & so on then called me yet couldn't call me to resolve this issue but called to offer me some special to spend more % I even let the guy who called he said that it wouldn't be an issue yo receive a refund that he would email billing department again, but still no refund was told they would give the stuff for all my classes but I told them I had cancelled my classes &my free trial would be up soon how can I get classes and trial&I have yet to have this resolved... Thats all I want is my money back you Shaw have not resolved this issue.. Some contact please&Thank you

I want to be removed from my classes, cancel my membership forever, and be refunded $69.00

Discontinued??? What does that even mean???
What type of sick game are you playing Shaw Academy??
You should take better pride in your business (by teaching your staff to the proper thing to do).

Confirmed cancellation: May 26,2020
Payment taken: June 30,2020

Hi ***,
We are sorry that you had to go through this entire ordeal. Please be assured that we have initiated a refund which will be credited back to the source in next 3- 5 business days. Please let us know if there is anything else you need assistance with.

Thank you
There is no free 4 weeks plan.
Give my money back and delete all of my personal details from your company.
Hai ***, We are extremely sorry for the unpleasant experience with us, We have reviewed your account and would like to confirm that we have charged £49.99 GBP for the purchase (Shaw Academy Premium Membership - Monthly Subscription) made via our Auto-renewal option, As per our Terms and Condition mentioned to you during the registration this is a non-refundable charge hence we would not be able to refund that amount, Our intention was not to upset you in any way.
With Regards,
Shaw academy
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I keep every reply from you in case my bank needs to take any further steps.
Hi ***,

16/07/2020 I am still waiting for refund.
Hi ***,
We're sorry to hear you were less than satisfied with Shaw Academy.
We have already processed the refund and I confirm your refund will be reaching your account in 4-5 business days.
We have now stopped the auto renewal and please be assured that you will not be charged way forward until you reactivate it. The membership will be cancelled at the end of term.

Shaw academy charged me for nothing and refused to refund. I confirmed themt I m notgnot to use any of their services and they wouldn't refund anyway.
I subscribed for a free 4 weeks trial of a course they were offering and I was charged for as they say ecertificate that I never ordered. I contacted them but Vadik from their support team refused to refund. Please find attached the email. I m not going to use their services. I never ordered any certificate but I have to pay them? It's a scam. Thank you
I just want my money back and I don't want to know anything about that company anymore.
Hi ***,
We would like to apologize for your recent experience.
Having checked our records, you have registered for a free trial and you have purchased the E Certificate from the course page, so the payment was processed.
We have now processed the refund and you will receive it in 4-5 business days.

I want Shaw Academy to rectify their mistake, and refund me my £39.95 back into my PayPal account. I also want them to delete any of my information or any of my personal details they have.
Hi ***,
I have reviewed your account and would like to confirm that we have charged £39.95 for the purchase (Toolkit for Professional Diploma in Social Media Marketing Module 1) you made via our one click purchase option. As per our Terms and Condition mentioned to you during the registration this is a non refundable charge, however as a good will gesture I have initiated a refund which will be credited back to the source in next 3-5 business days.

Any other reputable company would refund me.
Hi ***,
We're sorry to know you were less than satisfied with Shaw Academy. However we have reviewed your account and would like to inform you that the first email we received from you was on 30 June stating that you were informed you will not be charged even after the trial period. We are not sure where you received this information, as our terms and conditions have not been changed in the recent past and nor it states this statement. If you have any document stating this statement please do share as we can have an investigation started.

Not ideal but I'm honestly fed up so I'll take it. Thank you
I cancelled my subscription last month and I was still charged 70 dollars just now.
I cancelled my subscription last month in June. I was just charged $70 today 07/01/2020. I would like my money back since it was wrongly taken from my account.
A refund of $69.99
Hi ***,
We would like to apologize for your recent experience.

WE have now processed the refund and you will receive it in 4-5 business days.

PayPal Invoice ID:
XXXXXXXX
PayPal Transaction ID:
***XXXXXXXXXXXX
All I want is to get my 49.99 GBP back which I was wrongfully charged for.
Hi ***,
I have reviewed your account as well as gone through your complaint. We would like to bring to your attention that the amount that has been debited from your account is for auto renewal of the course. The auto renewal process is clearly mentioned in the terms and condition that you initially agreed to. we request you to email us at ***@shawacademy.com for further assistance.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Outrageous.
Hi ***,
We're sorry to hear you were less than satisfied with Shaw Academy. First and foremost we would request you to share any sort of document supporting the statement " I was told it was originally a one time payment, but I would get it completely FREE".
We would like to inform you that the auto renewal process was very well informed in the terms and conditions, which you had accepted during the registration process. We are not sure how you managed to get the refund from other service provider, as many of them including myself have not been able to get a refund after the auto renewal. Please write to us at ***@shawacademy.com if any further assistance needed.

Shaw Academy
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Hi ***,
As a goodwill gesture we have initiated a refund which will be credited back to the source in next 3-5 business days.

Signed up for free 30 day class. I was never notified of trial end and charged before correct date. Shysters!
I signed up for a free 30 day course. Promotional material said I'd be notified well before the end of trial to cancel, if wanted. I was never notified AND I was charged before the 30 days was up. This is a sham.
I want a full refund of the $69.99 they've stolen.

This charge was made before the 30 days was up. I had no intention of paying for this. I wanted to see what you provided, that's it. You've taken my money without my permission. I agreed to 30 days. Not before. Refund my money. There was no communication that the charge was coming. But, you know that and count on people not canceling, per your suggestions to wait for you to let us know when the month is up. Your ads said you'd let me know before it was time to cancel.

I want my money back! I don't believe Shaw Academy actually has any real courses to offer, so a refund is the only resolution that would be satisfactory to me.

I wish that my card will not be charged for the $70, a refund of the $39.95, and that my account will be terminated.

Just in case a customer has failed to see that, we have also added a disclaimer on the banner itself. We are sorry to inform you that the refund is not possible.
I would like a refund of £39.95 into my account. Not in any other form I would also like them to cancel my subscription and assure me I will not be charged in the future. I also want them to delete all my details from their database- account and personal

I was informed that a refund was processed && it failed which I informed you&the other agents that it would due to the unauthorized charge the bank closed the account so that's why it won't go threw I informed you of another account that I had to open due to this happen or caused other payment issues for my other responsibilities I had on that account that has been switched to this new account as well.I guess the fixed the account for classes which isn't my concern due to the fact that's what you all did for my inconvenience but I really need my refund you all also said you would give me it's not my fault the account was closed it had to be done..So Please take care of this refund so that we can finally resolve this dispute,& I can leave a better review of of experience with you all.. Please&Thank You!
