I was charge a $69.99 fee after over a month of Free Courses and I never opted in to sign up for classes and never gave my card info.
I originally signed through Verizon for a Free 4 weeks course for Online Computer Training and I was always receiving alerts throughout the course to pay an additional $39 I believe and I never opted in for service. I never gave them my account info to charge anything. I don't know how they got my information but they did. They charge my account about 2 months after the trial period and said that I had a 4 week trial to cancel. I never signed up for the package they always tryed to get me to purchase. So I emailed them saying that I never authorized the purchase or charge and they are saying they will not refund me because of me signing up for a free trial and did not cancel. But it's almost 2 months after and they emailed saying that they are going to give me a 6 month access to the service which they say goes for a $399 value and I tried to log in to the account to see if I could see if my card info is showing up in there system and I have no access to anything. This company has completely scammed.
Desired Outcome
I would like a full refund of the $69 they unauthorized.

I was billed for $69.99 after my four week free trial. I was told there was no record of me canceling but I did.
I called to cancel my during my trial period. This company has a very lengthy automated system that doesn't allow you to just cancel. Every time I went to cancel all there was an automated voice that said are you sure you want to cancel so every time I waited and opted to cancel. After, probably the 6th attempt, I was able to cancel. But then I just got charged us $69.99. And now I'm being told that there was no indication that I canceled And that they cannot refund me but will ensure that I won't get charged further. But I did cancel within the trial. I know I did. I'm just asking for a refund. I've never gone through such a lengthy process of trying to cancel.
Desired Outcome
A refund from the company for $69.99

I cancelled my subscription to Shaw Academy in April of 2020. I have been charged twice since then. I have not heard back from them.
I cancelled my subscription for Shaw Academy on April 30th, 2020. I spoke with Ruqayah S on the phone and have an email confirming that my membership had been cancelled. Yet when I look at my bank statements the have charged my card both in May and June for their services. They don't have a phone number to call so I cannot get in touch with them for a refund. I am incredibly unhappy with Shaw Academy and warn others to stay away from them!!
Desired Outcome
I would like both payments of $69.99 returned to my account immediately.

They took unauthorised money from my account
21st June 2020 I joined for free 30 day trial.
24th June 2020 they took £49.99 from my bank account.
I cancelled via email. They replied said I had finished free trial. I emailed again saying no, gave dates. They then said I had purchased advanced module. Refusing to refund me. I did not know I had purchased anything. I did not have more than 30 days. I do not have a record of any purchase they said I made. I want my money back.
Desired Outcome
I would like £49.99 returned to my bank account and firthem to delete all my details from their database once refund issued and in my account.

I have had various emails back and forth to this email already. In some they say I have gone over my 4 weeks free and that is why they have billed me. They have also sent me an invoice saying this. In other emails they said I have bought something extra. I believe they have no evidence of either and ate just trying to avoid giving my money back. This response is a standard response and I have had it from them morethan once already with no resolution.

Please don't close the case until money has been received, then I will accept once it has come back. Thank you fir your help.
Shaw Academy processed an unauthorized charge on my credit card & refused to refund the money .
I enrolled in a 4 week free English courses on may 24th 2020 and they mentioned that if cancelled before these 4 weeks I won't have to pay. I cancelled few days after on may 30th 2020 and never assist in any course. They cancellation process is very long ( they don't let you unsubscribe and try to offer you 3 free months, then 6 free months, then 12 free months it's an endless offer process that doesn't make any sense.... but I went through all the steps and take picture then at the end as it was not enough, they asked me to call a number to confirm my cancellation. So I also did that on June 1st 2020 (and have the proof from my phone company) after completing all the steps and having a confirmation on the phone that my subscription was cancelled, they've stopped sending me email about the courses until this week June 22th 2020. So I wrote then an email asking why they've restart sending me an email since I've unsubscribed a month ago. They didn't answer but charged my credit card 66.99 CAD. I wrote them another email to ask for a refund and they say that they won't refund since I haven't unsubscribed. Knowing that I have all the proof in pictures and through my phone company, they still deny and refuse to refund. This company is totally a scam, and I felt that during the very long and really weird un-subscription process that why I took picture. They had no right to charge my card, this is a fraud.
Desired Outcome
I want a refund otherwise I will ask for a compensation as my time is too much valuable to spent it on a long process online + on phone . In total I've lost so many time for the un- subscription itself, and now I am spending even more time with them via emails for a simple refund (knowing that its my right, its doesn't make any sense. They are losing my time again by trying to offer me as a compensation a free access to the course for 6 months. A course I've unsubscribed for ! how crazy is that? I am not interested, I just want my money back), to that time lets add the time I've spent to contact my bank, and now extra time to contact the Revdex.com, the time I've spent to contact my phone company and secure all the evidences against them. I have a business to run and I don't have time to play! so to that add also the money I am loosing with my company because I am not working. This is enough... Either they refund me or they pay way more for the time I am currently loosing.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Tried to cancel my account before the date line and the application didn't allow me to do so. Without any reminder or consult, they charged me 70$
I realized I had been charged when trying to buy my moms medicine, in fact, I couldnt buy it because they deducted money from my account without my consent.
I need a reimbursement in order to buy my moms heart pills, this is not a human treatment during the global outbreak.
They cancelled my subscription after the charged me 70 USD, I dont want any free subscriptions, I just need the money back, my mother can't afford not to take her pills.
Desired Outcome
I need a complete reimbursement to my account.

I want to reallocate the payment I made for membership to pay for my certificate but the company is unresponsive. It has literally become unreachable.
I studied a course taking advantage of the free trial period.I was billed when I continued beyond the trial period.I completed the course but did not get the certificate.
I erroneously made a payment for the 3 moths premium subscription to keep my studentship alive specifically for me to get the certificate,Now what I want is to cancel the membership and utilise the money to pay for the certificate. My frustration is I cannot complete the cancellation online using the provided facility.I have to call the local office. Everytime I call the local office the calls are not picked. Now the clock is ticking on me for the time to get the certificate along with the opportunities. On the other hand the clock is ticking on the number of days my 3 months subscription is running.
I need an amicable resolution which enables me to get my certificate.
Desired Outcome
I need my 3 months premium membership subscription to be cancelled and the refund is applied to cost for my certificate

Requesting refund for subscription and E-certificate.
I signed up for a 30-day free trial on 30May2020. I provided my credit card info as they said I will not be charged and they only needed it for registration purposes. My last class for module 1 was yesterday 25June2020 (Manila time). After the class, I accidentally clicked on the purchase e-certificate and realized my mistake so I emailed them to ask for cancellation because I could not find a cancellation button on their website. This afternoon I got a call from a guidance manager name Jade, offering a discounted price for a 3-month subscription (PHP1,316) and needed me to decide because it was a limited offer. I initially said yes, and agreed but after I got home, and gave more thought to it, I realized that I can no longer attend the succeeding modules and emailed them to request a refund. I then saw that there was a response to my first email about the e-certificate and the reply stated that they could not refund the amount of PHP299.00, I then explained that I spoke to one of their manager earlier today and initially agreed to a subscription, but due to financial constraints I realized it was a bad decision and wanted to request a refund. I got a reply after about half an hour later basically saying they cannot refund my money (total of PHP1,615). I explained that I have not accessed the succeeding modules and if they wanted assurance, I am giving them permission to revoke my access to my login as well as all their modules. I have not received any response to my last email. I've had similar experiences with other businesses in the past where I forgot to cancel my subscription and was granted a refund, no questions asked, so it baffles me why Shaw Academy is refusing to do so. Upon reading the comments from other students in this sit, I am inclined to believe that Shaw Academy is a scam, evidenced by the numerous complaints filed against them.
Desired Outcome
I want a refund on my subscription and the e-certificate, total of which is PHP1,615.
Also would like to cancel my membership with Shaw Academy.

They have billed my automatically by clicking a link that did not have any price refered to it.
I have joined a free trial at Shaw Academy that is not yet over (ends in 8 days from now). They have bombarded me with no less than 100 emails , most of them containing 1 click purchases. Once I was on their website I have clicked a link that did not have any price reference, making it look "for free". As result of falling for the fraud I have tried to contact the PayPal customer support for help which they were unable to offer because Shaw Academy used the automatic payment that one allows once the trial starts.
Meanwhile I have tried to contact the customer support from Shaw Academy as well , but all I got in return is an email from Zen Desk which says the cannot find my email address in their system, although this is the same email address for login and payment. The rest of my emails requesting a refund were ignored.
Desired Outcome
I would like a refund of 39 which were billed from my Pay Pal account without my consent and see justice done once and for all against online fraud. They should not be allowed to practice any sort of business!

I cannot accept this explanation because I was tricked in "purchasing" the eCertificate by clicking on a link that had no price displayed on it, situated underneath a link for purchasing a "hard copy diploma" which had a price displayed, making the eCertificate link look without any cost. This and especially your referral in the Terms and Condition that eCertificates cannot be refunded proves that it is a fraud mechanism, deliberately designed to bill poor people that are glad to participate in a free 4 week trial and accept the Terms and Condition without reading it. Furthermore, not making it clear that the links are 1 click purchase that work with the activation of the automatic payment of Trial makes this method illegal in all the countries where your offices sit. I expect a refund.

You don't want to do anything about it, because if you refund me you would have to refund all the others you have scammed. You're so called diploma is not recognized anywhere, so why would someone need it?
Instead of practicing a honest business model, you chose scamming, therefore dealing with the consequences.
A refund is the only solution to this case.
I signed up for a free trial, ending on June 26th, and upon logging in on the 26th I was already charged for a premium membership.
I received no texts or emails regarding my charge, or warning me my trial was ending, and was immediately charged 70$ for a premium membership. I did not attend any classes, and already attempted to cancel previously. I cannot find anywhere to receive a refund.
Desired Outcome
I would like a refund for the charge made, as my subscription was canceled on the 26th, as was outlined in my initial free trial.

THIS IS A SCAM! I was fooled into accepting the free trial by Shaw Academy. When I went to cancel the trial I found out you can only do it by phone. I spent over 30 minutes listening to PRE-RECORDED messages begging me to stay and "not give up on my dreams and the the goals I wanted for my life." It is a ridiculous automated process to cancel your membership that should take only a few minutes, but because you HAVE to get to the end of the message for the prompts if you want your account to be cancelled. After all of this, and a record of cancellation, I was still charged $69.99 a few days later! I have contacted my payment methods and cancelled the automatic payments for the future, but should not have had to do this - and I should not have been charged almost $70! Please don't fall prey to this SCAM of a company.
I was charged for Toolkit
I registered for the free trial on Wednesday 24th June, only to realize my debit card was charged for almost $40. I tried canceling immediately but was asked to call.
When I called the number provided the customer service representative asked me to send a mail to the support mail which I did.
The response I got was I purchased a toolkit which is none refundable. Please note that I never clicked on purchase.
I am no longer interested in the course, I will like a refund of the debit in my account. I have not taken any course and the kit has not been activated.
Desired Outcome
I would like a refund of the amount debited to my account.

Thanks a lot, the response provided will definitely resolve the issue.
Shawacademy an education online platform need to be looked into and investigated as their practices are deceitful google reviews will verify my Claim
I've come across this company online and I thought why not give it a try as I wanted to learn more about photography and other subjects which they had to offer and they were offering a 1 month free trail,
So I then went to the website to avoid being charged the re occurring fee and as I attempted to do so on the website I noticed that the website had no option of cancelling and instead only a request to a phone call ,I had no other option so I requested the phone call.
I got a phone call from Ganeve who then instead of fulfilling my request went on to persuade me and offer me free content and was insisting that I should progress by studying the free content and that I could easily access them anytime instead of their usual 2 days a week programme, I then made sure to tell her I did not want to be charged once the trail was over and she confirmed that wouldn't be the case verbally,
Regretfully I did not put this in writing however instead of her Including in her email after our conversation That I didn't want to be charged she only mentioned that she enjoyed getting me one step closer to my goal,
Hence this email was sent on the first day I signed up clearly proving that I made a call on the same day I registered the free trail, I am sure nobody gets sent free stuff on the first day for no reason this was a result to me trying to avoid future charges,
Once I was charged I emailed the company and I was told I could not get a refund as there was no evidence of confirmation and instead offered me 6 months of free service which I didn't want however they are so deceitful in that they only allow phone call requests Instead of normal in website cancellations following with a cancellation confirmation which I hadn't got,
I then looked at google reviews and noticed dozens of people had the same issue I've had and this should not be tolerated and I deserve to be refunded as I haven't used the material since before the 18th of June and I was charged on the 25th,
I sent an email the same day I noticed the charge proving I did not intentionally want to continue with them.
To top it all amid the frustration I had gone on the website to look for ways to take my card details off their system and frustratingly accidentally clicked on a one click purchase which automatically charged me immediately I within minutes also asked for a refund on this and also was told the same thing that they could not refund me but instead offer me now up to 1 year of free service which I do not want.
Please assist as this companies practices are very deceitful, their not helpful at all and should be stopped immediately I've never experienced such horrible services in my entire life.
I as a dissatisfied customer
1. Want my money back as I did not want to continue the service and did not use the service after my trail had ended.
2. Want my money back for accidentally clicking the one click purchase and do not want the e tool kit or anything from them.
All I want is my hard earned money back as I do not want to continue services with this company I really am not asking for much please.
Regards
Desired Outcome
All I genuinely want is my refund , my hard earned money back,
It would also be nice to know this company has changed its practices and not charged people for something they don't want and those that are Involved in these deceitful misconducts be held accountable and justice prevail.
Kindest Regards

Firstly that one click was led by frustration of the first unfair charge, I told their staff to not charge me once my trail was over and they still did, if you look at google reviews so many people suffered the same issue.
Trustpilot even put out a message which states Shaw academy have been known for fake reviews, which makes total sense when you actually read the reviews a lot of it is unsatisfied customers like myself but from the outside it seems like a lot of positive feedback when really it isn't.
I shouldn't of been charged for the one click purchase even though I just cancelled my membership and sent an email to express my thoughts on being charged the first time and requested a refund.
I haven't used any of what I was charged for so I should be refunded which any other normal business would of done by now but this company is absolutely disgusting.

I explained repeatedly if they check and review my phone call conversation with Ganeve ,
I will guarantee you will find that In that conversation I clearly asked her to make sure that I was not billed after my trail period,
Matter of fact the email she sent me on the 26/05/2020 one has to ask there has to be a reason why she sent me that email because my trail period ends and I was billed a month later, the fact that she emailed me once I joined clearly proved that I had Contacted her with a purpose and that purpose was to make sure I wasn't billed after my trail period.
Ive now emailed her several times and she has clearly been ignoring my emails she should be put on trail as she knows I'm in the right and she is a member of your company !

This is in regard to my ongoing issue with billing from Shaw Academy. I have been following up since 2 days and no one has replied or responded to my email.
I was unnecessarily charged 69.99 dollars to my credit card which I have stated so many times to them that I had authorized by mistake and had no intention to buy any services from Shaw Academy . I registered for free course but I haven't attended any of those too and I am not interested to take any courses from.Shaw Academy in future .
I have requested couple of times to them to refund the amount as it is a big amount for me and I cannot afford such a big sum which is of no use to me .
Please I request you to look into this matter and take necessary action so that I am refunded my hard earned money.
I have emailed to the CEO also but no response .no one is responding to my emails now. It's been 2 days. Please refund urgently.
Desired Outcome
I need refund.

Shaw Academy won't give Refund for Cancellations.
I started 4-week free trail period with Shaw Academy and I hardly used that free trail because I didn't like the course. Unfortunately I forgot to cancel my subscription and subscription got renewed to paid plan. I reached out to the Customer Service immediately on the same day to request cancellation and refund. Customer Service said, we won't give refunds as per terms and conditions. Shaw Academy's terms and conditions never mentioned about not giving refunds, BUT their FAQ's mentioned, Shaw Academy will provide refunds if you cancel the subscription ANY TIME.
I'm expecting a refund for the subscription amount.

Hai ***, We are extremely sorry for the unpleasant experience with us, We have reviewed your account and would like to confirm that we have charged $69.99 USD for the purchase (Shaw Academy Premium Membership - Monthly Subscription) made via our Auto-renewal option, As per our Terms and Condition mentioned to you during the registration this is a non-refundable charge hence we would not be able to refund that amount, Our intention was not to upset you in any way.

Hi ***,
Please share the screenshot of both transaction so we can have this investigated.

Regards

I need a complete reimbursement to my account.

Subscribed for free 28 day trial, laptop broke, received the 3 day warning pre charge and immediately explained and requested cancellation. 14.05.2020 was ignored!

I would like a refund of 39 which were billed from my Pay Pal account without my consent and see justice done once and for all against online fraud. They should not be allowed to practice any sort of business!
Hi ***,
I have reviewed your account and would like to confirm that we have charged £39.00 for the purchase (E Certificate for Professional Diploma in Graphic Design Module 1) you made via our one click purchase option. As per our Terms and Condition mentioned to you during the registration this is a non refundable charge.
Kindly write to us at ***@shawacademy.com if any further assistance needed.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

I would like a refund for the charge made, as my subscription was canceled on the 26th, as was outlined in my initial free trial.
Hi ***,
I have reviewed your account as well as gone through your complaint. Scammy website practicing shady business tactics, wish I knew this before signing up with them.

Regards
All I genuinely want is my refund , my hard earned money back, It would also be nice to know this company has changed its practices and not charged people for something they don't want and those that are Involved in these deceitful misconducts be held accountable and justice prevail.

My debit card was illegally debited for a cancelled four weeks free trial online Shaw academy training which I never attended.
I registered for a four weeks free trial subscription online course with Shaw Academy on May 28, 2020. On June 18, 2020, I cancelled the course, membership and subscription before expiration and send text sms to the number provided (+X XXX-XXX-XXXX) when the calls could not be completed. It took me by surprise to see a debit transaction of $69.99 in my debit card account on June 25, 2020.
I want a reversal of the illegal debit on my account and cancellation of the subscription, if it hasn't be completed.
I want refund of $69.99 already debited into my account and cancellation of my subscription and membership with Shaw Academy.
Hai ***, We are sorry to let you down with this experience. I cancelled my subscription and also sent text message to the number they provided during the cancellation process. Furthermore, I did not agree to any membership extension. I lost my job due COVID-19 downsizing only to find out that ShawAcademy is also trying to use cunning means to siphon my little savings I have left.
I realized this cunning tactics and quickly opted out and sent sms to them without even viewing their service.
