They advertised a free trial as a Covid special, I then cancelled it but they still took £49.99 of my money!
Opened PayPal claim and despite evidence they went in their favour, appealed it and rejected again. I have message saying it was cancelled and want my money back, seems lots of others having same problems, please help

They won't give me a refund back despite multiple attempts to do so, one click purchases are bad and should not exist. "Free" trial is misleading.
Saw an ad on Facebook for a free trial and since Covid has me shut in at home I figured why not. BIG MISTAKE! Already knew something was fishy when they ask right away when you sign up for a CC or method of payment. But the website looked clean and not super scammy. Everything on the main dashboard of the page is one click purchase with ZERO verification if you actually want to buy the extended bundles. I was enrolled in the photography course and I did learn quite a bit for the most part. But a lot of the module 1 content at the end is just embeded ads to purchase the premium version. I accidentally miss clicked the supplemental material tab on their dashboard and got charged 40$ USD immediately on my card. I figured this should be a simple enough resolution contacting their support team and getting my money back. Just a pain and a hassle to do this. At first their offered me "special offers" and I still wasn't interested and just wanted my money back. They said it was against their policy. I couldn't believe the BS that this company does. I tried launching an investigation with my CC company/bank and they couldn't do it since the claim was too minor. So I was up st's creek. I have yet to receive a refund from them and seeing all the complaints on their Revdex.com page now ballooning to over 1,200, I now know to never be tricked by these guys again. Be warned when signing up.
Desired Outcome
Just want my money back man. And get rid of 1-click purchases, its so dumb and anti-consumer. It's clearly there so if 40$ isn't a lot to you, you won't bother going through this mess.

Hi ***,
I have reviewed your account and would like to confirm that we have charged $39.95 USD for the purchase (E Certificate for Professional Diploma in Photography Module 1) you made via our one click purchase option. As per our Terms and Condition mentioned to you during the registration this is a non refundable charge. Kindly write to us at ***@shawacademy.com for further assistance.
Shaw Academy took money from my account and I am asking for a refund as I believe their services to be dishonest and bad business.
I signed up to the free-month trial for the Shaw Academy Photography course on the 25th June 2020. This involved me entering my bank details, in order so that following the free trial, I could continue to pay a membership cost monthly should I deem their services worthy. I considered this an amazing opportunity to learn. However, on the 27th June 2020, Shaw Academy took £39.95 from Visa Debit Card after I accidentally pressed a one-click purchase link for a toolkit (worth £39.95) that had popped up just as I was about to click something else on the screen. I proceeded to email them on the 27th June, explaining that this was not at all my intention and I would like a refund immediately. I have been in communication with Gomes for the past few days and I am mortified by the deceiving nature of the customer service advisor. First of all, Gomes claimed they could not refund my money because of section 5.8 in their terms and conditions, even though that section is very subjective and open for scrutiny. In a further email, they then state they could not refund me because it was "inconvenient" for their refunds team to refund me. Absolutely no coherency. It was not inconvenient for them to take my money, so why is it inconvenient for their refunds team to refund me? What is the purpose of the refunds team otherwise? My unique ID number for this query is #XXXXXXX. I have went through the process to cancel my membership yet they require me to call them to confirm this, which I will do so on Monday 29th June 2020. If any further payment is taken from my account, I will take this very seriously and count this as a breach of my Data Protection Rights. As a student, I know the struggles of needing every penny, whether it be for putting a deposit down or supporting your family in this difficult time we are facing, so for a company to take advantage of students like this is disgraceful and quite frankly unethical business. I can no longer trust this company as they deem it OK to forcibly taking money from people who just want to educate themselves more about the world, ignoring the troubles one faces on a daily basis.
Desired Outcome
To resolve this issue, I would like a refund of £39.95 to my Visa Debit Card, evidence of my membership being terminated and my bank details removed from their system.

Hello,
Please explain in detail why it is non-refundable. You claim clicking the one-click toolkit for £39.95 is non-refundable due to your terms and conditions but why do I find other students who have been in the exact position as me, with their refunds. Are you directly targeting or discriminating a subset of people ? And if you are so-called "extremely sorry", why have you not refunded me my rightful £39.95 for the deplorable customer service I have received with you. Once again, I ask for my refund of £39.95 as it is clear that you have given refunds to others in my position which brings to question the integrity of your company and whether this is a matter of discrimination and whether I need to take this further with the civil claims courts. I will not stand for being treated any differently from any one else and if you would like me to provide evidence that you have given refunds to others in my circumstance, this is be very detailed in my next response, should I still be rejected my refund again. Respectfully, revise your decision.

Hello,
I have emailed your priority support team and they have not provided a suitable solution at all. You completely missed the point in my last response. You continually state that your terms and conditions reference the unrefundable nature of the one-click toolkit however, there has been cases of other members getting their refunds who also made the same mistake as me. So why should I be treated any differently? I'm still requesting a refund of £39.95 and will be doing that for weeks on end if that's what I need to do to be given justice and respect.

Hello,
Can you provide me with evidence that you have never refunded anybody who has accidentally purchased the one-click toolkit.
I have 8 weeks of a beautiful warm summer ahead of me. If I have to email you every day of those 8 weeks I will do so in order to receive the £39.95 that your company stole from me.
I have informed my bank to block any future payments from you because it is clear from the many bad reviews on Trustpilot that Shaw Academy cannot be trusted. I have also written my own complaint on Trustpilot to warn others of your terrible customer service. My social media accounts will shortly follow suit.
I look forward to hearing from you when you have reached the conclusion that I should be granted my refund.

I tried to confirm my seat in a free online class, but instead ordered a course that cost $69.99.
On Friday (06/26/2020), signed up for a free, four week trial period for an online coding class at Shaw Academy (online). To sign up for the free trial, I had to enter my credit Card Number. The class was to start on Monday (06/29/2020). On Sunday (06/28/2020), they sent me a link to confirm my seat in the class. In the process of clicking the link to confirm my seat, I was charged $69.99 for some thing I Did Not order. They Did Not send me a receipt of any kind, But they did charge my card, as I received an alert from my bank. I immediately I sent an email requesting a refund. The email I received stating Someone would be in touch with me in 48 hours, because the support staff is only available Monday thru Friday. When they emailed me on Monday morning they stated "We are unable to process refund."
I DID NOT attend their classes, and requested a refund before the class even started. They Did Not state why they could not process a refund.
Desired Outcome
i would like my $69.99 refunded.

Fraudulent Debit
I signed up for the free 4 weeks course on Shaw academy website and didn't continue with it but was billed for May CAD$69.99 and I called in sometime in Late May to discuss with one of their support team but was told I couldn't get a refund. He said I didn't cancel my subscription on time and he couldn't help me with a refund. He promised to give me some value for the amount I paid which he did and promised I won't be billed ever again. Last week, precisely 26th june I was billed same amount of CAD$69.99 and I've been trying to reach all their support teams to no avail. These guys seem like scammers and I'll like to report them to stop this and take my card off their system right away and do a refund for the amount collected.
Desired Outcome
I need them to refund my money and cancel my plan with them.

Customer satisfaction isn't the focus. Even with proof they don't care.
Customer satisfaction isn't the focus. I explained my situation and it seemed no one cared. I started a free trial on May 23 for 4 weeks. I submitted my cancellation on June 11 online but since I didn't call they didn't honor my online cancellation and charged me $69. Typically if a customer cancels a subscription online that's all you have to do. I even showed them proof that I submitted my cancellation before the date and they didn't care. We won't ever use this company or recommend to anyone.
Desired Outcome
I just want a refund. We were affected financially by Covid-19 and won't be able to cover all our bills this month since they won't refund us.

Shaw Academy processed an unauthorized charge on my credit card and refused to refund the money although I did never purchased their services.
I promised I didn't hit purchase as I saw it cost $34.99 for the tool kit that they over progressively push the trial free member to purchase after I started the trial course. And I didn't realised they post the charge to my credit card without any notice, unitol I called to ask to cancel my membership, I saw the charge was on the bill. so I request to cancel the membership and the refund, they spoke back to me at least 3 times to ask me to remain the the memebrship by offering me the free toolkit which they've already charged me. And evenetually they only cancel my membership as I insisted but refused to refund to me. This is totally a fraud.
Also, the toolkit is including a "certificate" that they should have delivered to me but I didn't receive anything and didn't find any bottom in the dashboard when I was still in the trial to access this certificate. And don't know what kind of certificate it is.
Totally scam!
Desired Outcome
Refund the tool kit!

They kept giving me even worst answer. When I asked how can I receive the certificate since the company kept making up policies to refused that I requested the refund, and the answer I got is "The e-certificate is already enabled on your account.
Take the module 1 final assignment for Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing Module 1, you will then receive it to your email.
Once you login, Go to your course page and then, find the "Assignments" tab on the top just below the module tab. Under the "Assignments" tab, you just have to click on the "Get E-Certificate" button to take the final assignment, Take the final exam and complete it with a 50% score or higher, you will receive the certificate via email."
So it dosen't make sense at all it is absolutely a proof how this company trick in purchase, why they need to consumers to "purchase the certificate" at the begining of the cource and I was even in the free trial to see if I should take this course and now when I asked to cancel the membership and refund, they said I can only get the certificate after I finish the learning moudule, that acutally my membership was already cancelled. I have no way to and don't want to complete the learning, and still I can not get the certificate that they've forced me (and a lot of consumers) to purchase.
This company need to be have a red flag! Totally a scam!

Shaw Academy processed a payment without my prior consent. I did not authorize any charge to be made.
Shaw Academy offered a free 30-day trial. I went back on day 30 to cancel the trial, because I did not want to be charged. I logged on to their site, and was taken to a webpage that said in order to cancel, you must call this specific phone number first. Of course, my 30th day was on a Sunday, and conveniently, they said they are only there Monday through Friday, and to call Monday.
Later that evening, I received an email from PayPal that I had been charged by Shaw Academy. This was still on my 30th day of my free trial. I woke up this morning to dispute this charge, and was given a recording when I called. All it did was try an insane number of times to try to keep me from cancelling, by offering more "deals", but I finally got to the end of the pre-recorded message and was able to cancel. But, I was not able to get a hold of any human being to get a refund for the money that was taken from me. They deliberately make it a robot, so that you cannot speak with anyone and complain about the sneaky thing that they do to get your money.
I got on PayPal immediately and disputed the charge, but I have to wait until July 8 to see if they will allow me to dispute it. I want a full refund of what I was charged, and this shady "Academy" is dodging me, left and right.
Desired Outcome
I want a full refund of $69.99.

This company has done so many twisted things since I signed up, including delete my account right after charging me a third unauthorized payment
I was trying to find some online classes to occupy my time during the coronavirus pandemic. I tried Yale online but I didn't like the way it was set up so I set up a free month trial to Shaw Academy. I liked the teaching methods they used so I was enjoying this website until A few weeks in. This website was designed to make people accidentally purchase things. I was scrolling down with zero intentions of purchasing anything and as I was scrolling I Accidentaly clicked a button and was charged $39.95 for a service I had no desire for. I tried to contact shaw academy via their website's email and waited about a week before contacting them through PayPal. After waiting the required time for a response, I escalated the issue to PayPal and on june 15 I was refunded the $39.95 thanks to PayPal. On this website, when signing up for the free trial they state they are going to email you a few days ahead of time to remind you that in a few days you're going to be charged for a 3 month subscription, so that you have time to cancel if need be. Well, I emailed them about a week before the trial period was over because I had a feeling that they weren't going to send me the reminder (which they never did, but they did send about 10 emails per day trying to get you to buy extras and upgrade membership status) they never responded to my cancellation request and on June 1 I was charged $69.99 for a three month subscription. I felt taken advantage of and just took it as my loss, my bad mistake, as a lesson. I didn't do anything about it immediately because at that point I was tired of dealing with shaw academy so I didn't contact PayPal for a refund. Well today, June 29th I was charged another $69.99 from shaw academy. It hadn't even been a month and I was charged again. I tried to contact them and contact PayPal and I finally got PayPal to block all future Shaw Academy transactions . After I contacted PayPal to create a case against them, I went to sign into my shaw academy account to see if there was any way I could remove my card info from my account. When I went to sign in, it signed me in for a second and then signed me right back out. They must have blocked or deleted my account after charging me my third unauthorized account. This company is a huge scam and I know that they're getting a lot of people with their tricky schemes but they need to be shut down and possible sued or some other form of action taken upon them.
Thank you for your time.
Desired Outcome
I would like a refund for both of the $69.99 transactions that were taken out of my account. The services were unauthorized and never used. I did get the refund for the $39.95 thanks to PayPal so I'm not worried about that one. This business needs to permanently stop ripping off and tricking so many people with their sneaky methods of charging people repeatedly. They also shouldn't be allowed to delete people's accounts after unethically charging said person's account. Shaw Academy's practices are disturbing and need to be put a stop to. I would be curious to find out what happened to my account and their reasoning for deleting it, or whatever happened.

They gave me trail of 28 days and I was about to cancel the service but thier agent said " I will cancel your subscription but give us another chance and will contact you further in case if you want to continue". I was so clear that I don't continue but they still charged me and when I made a request for a refund, they said they can't it's not in their policy. I do not accept this response because when I spoke with one of their agents, I clearly mentioned that I don't want to continue. I am not being judgemental but I also believe they have made their terms and conditions accordingly so that no one can exit easily. I also experienced one thing here in CANADA that If you don't like some product, you can definitely return that item and get full refund. Moreover, If shaw academy is saying that I did not cancel ny subscription before renewal, let me tell them that first of all I clearly mentioned to your agent that I want cancellation of my subscription, secondly I didn't use their services because I don't like it so why would I pay if am not using something. MISLEADING ADVERTISING- WRONGFUL DEDUCTION FROM MY CREDIT CARD
Shaw advertised a free 30 day trial. I opted for the same and had to give my credit card details to avail the offer. I was told I can cancel anytime. I soon realized that the course content as unsatisfactory and repetitive. I cancelled the membership within two weeks. Called up the cancellation number, went through several minutes of automated service where they tried to convince me to stay on with more free perks. Since I was not interested I didnt opt for any and at the end of the call I as told my membership is cancelled. This was a very lengthy call lasting about 10-15 minutes and that too automated!!They say they send u a confirmation email but after being in this fiasco I have called thrice and none of the times have I got an instant confirmation email. Anyways, after cancellation, the reminder emails for courses also fizzled out. I as convinced it was cancelled. However at the end of the trial period, Shaw took out a charge from my credit card. I immediately called to check and this time I got to speak to an adviser, Tasneem D She agreed that I had called to cancel earlier (she could see in the records). Again she tried to convince me to stay on and offered more freebies. I denied. She sent me an email again offering freebies and also asked me to write to the billing department about the wrongful deduction. I wrote to them but got no reply. Then I wrote to the complaints forum. A totally disinterested person going by the name 'Renny' emailed me saying "This had subsequent payments related to it, hence why the content was made available. We cannot offer a refund in these circumstances.". This is atrocious!! Shaw knew I called to cancel, they deliberately ignored it so they could charge me. If the content is chargeable on the trial period then why do they keep offering free access, course material and tool kits to pacify my complaint?! I have told them I don't want access to any of their material or course kit instead they can remove my access and return my money. They know that after I have cancelled I have not even explored all their free course material! they know I stopped attending classes. They have all the information and the adviser acknowledged that I had not accessed anything!! This does not seem to be the first case. I have now seen several complaints of wrongful deductions during trial period. I am just sorry I didn't see these earlier. Shaw is running a very systematic scam of cheating people by advertising free trial period. How is it that they are being allowed to get away with it when so many people have spoken up!
Desired Outcome
I need a refund of the charges wrongfully charged on my credit card.
I need my membership cancelled and all my details deleted from Shaw records.

I requested a refund, and cancellation for a service I never signed up for. Being charged on two different occasions, with a foreign email.
Apparently on 5/27/2020, and 06/26/2020 my card (Ending in ***) attached to my bank account was charged $69.99 each time, for some service I did not sign up for at Shaw Academy. I contacted them via email, on the 26th and received a response from Anna, but she was of no help in refunding my money totaling $139.98; she did though cancel the "subscription" for future charges. My one issue with this is that the email address she gave me under the registration, was not of my own either; another indicating factor it was not me that authorized the charges.
Desired Outcome
I am seeking restitution of my funds for a service I've not signed up for, nd its as simple as that honestly. I've read up on some other complaints directed to this company, and it doesn't seem like i am the only one who has had this problem.

I can't accept the fact that a refund is not possible, when there's evidence of it being a fraudulent account, as the company told me, it was not even an email address of my own that was used. There was no registration of any sort on my behalf, so the argument that the Terms and conditions state X-Y-Z is null and void. It's not a matter of "upsetting me", but rather returning funds that were not used for a service that was never provided to me to begin with.

Correction, *someone*, who gained access to my personal information signed up for the subscription via ***@gmail.com. No one has yet to bring forth any solid evidence that it was physically me, who accepted the aforementioned terms and conditions. I therefore conclude that I should still be owed the $139.98 that was unauthorized to be charged on my card.

I was charged for a subscription service after cancellation. This has been an issue for 2 months.
I signed up for a class in guitar instruction through Shaw Academy. I thought to take advantage of the free trial, and afterward I agreed to be charged for further instruction. As my schedule was not allowing me to use the service as I would have liked to, I opted to cancel the subscription. I attempted to cancel the service in April, but was surprised to see a charge for May on my credit card. I then was directed by the website to go through an automated phone service to cancel the subscription. I spent 20 minutes on the phone with this automated system to cancel. I eventually got through the automated system (the system will repeatedly ask if you are "sure" you want to cancel) and confirmed that I wanted my subscription canceled. On 6/25, I was AGAIN charged $69 by Shaw Academy. I am currently making efforts to get in touch with Shaw regarding a refund, but historically the company makes it very difficult to be refunded or cancel your subscription. There are numerous complaints about this company's lack of clear communication and fraudulent practices.
Desired Outcome
What I want is a refund of the 2 charges for $69.99 that I was charged for May and June.

I was double charged for something I accidentally bought. No refund given. Called for refund and got charged another $100 out of no where. No reply.
I signed up for Shaw Academy free trial on 5/31/2020. I began courses the week before the trial ended. I was given multiple texts, emails and notifications per day about the course and offers to win a year, get a free toolkit and certificate and the like. The constant sales pitches were annoying, but I ignored them. Then I got a message on my phone offering a free toolkit for connecting with Facebook. I clicked it and it took me to there site where it said the toolkit is $39.95. Thinking this was the retail value it was showing me and I needed to click through to see the final details I clicked it. Only after clicking did I realized the button said "one click purchase". Now even on my iPhone when I make a purchase it gives me a second page warning. Even on Amazon I have to authorize one click purchase. These companies work this way because they are reputable, but Shaw Academy is not. Immediately after clicking the 39.95 button I was charged, not 39.95, but 39.95 twice! Apparently this happens a lot because even their FAQ has a question "what if I am double charged?" They tell you to email for a refund. I sent an email on June 20th asking for a refund for both charges. They replied the same day saying they won't refund either, but they will give me a year of service for free. I replied saying fine, but at least refund me the second charge which I did not authorize. They replied ignoring my request and repeating that I get a year for free. Then on June 24th a representative from Shaw called me to ask how my courses were going. I said fine, but I need a refund for my double charge. He said "yes I will expedite the process of that refund and make sure they email you" next he said " I also will give you the toolkit for module 2,3 and 4 of your class" . I said "cool, thanks." These are exact quotes with nothing left out. Nothing was ever mentioned about cost, price, purchase or agreement to pay anything. Immediately after hanging up the phone I saw they had charged my PayPal $99.99. I tried calling back and got a strange message that said they are unable to answer the phone. I emailed them for a refund. They replied and said they listened to my call and the associate informed me about some quarterly plan and I agreed to it! Complete lies! I did research and there are countless stories on facebook, Reddit, quota, Truepilot and more with similar situations. This company needs to be shut down and brought to justice. It's taking advantage of people and stealing from them.
Desired Outcome
They must refund my $139.99 and give me a free year of service for my time.

They still did not even address the $140 of charges that I did not click or ask for in anyway. They don't even have a $149 one click purchase. They did not refund me and they did not provide adequate support or evidence that I made any agreement to purchase these items. I also received no product or service in return for the $140 they took from my account with no permission. The site also does not let you remove your credit card or payment information. So now I request that you follow the law and remove all my information from your site, including my payment information. Below is a picture id what happens if I try to use the products they claim I purchased. I can't even access them.

Billed after canceling free trial,
I signed up for a free trial for Shaw Academy. I immediately tried to cancel the membership after seeing the pricing options and finding out the the classes were during set times and not self-paced. The number on the website (after clicking through about five different pages trying to prevent you from canceling) was for some random hotel who said they frequently get calls from people trying to cancel Shaw. I messaged support through their website and was told my membership was canceled. Today I was billed $69.99 for a membership that I was told got canceled and I have no interest in keeping.
Desired Outcome
I would like a refund ASAP.

I got charged unknowingly then shaw academy disappeared.
I got a call for a subscription that was supposed to be "free of charge" for me and with "no hidden cost". as soon as I hang up the phone I got charged $99.95 then I called back once and they said they would call me back. I called again 20 minutes later and can't reach them anymore. I want a full refund and that membership cancelled immediately.
Desired Outcome
I want a full refund back to my account and that membership cancelled immediately.

Hai ***, We are extremely sorry for the unpleasant experience with us, We have reviewed your account and would like to confirm that we have charged $99.95 USD for the purchase (Shaw Academy Premium Membership - Quarterly Subscription) made via our Auto-renewal option, As per our Terms and Condition mentioned to you during the registration this is a non-refundable charge hence we would not be able to refund that amount, Our intention was not to upset you in any way.
Took payment when I cancelled within the policy period of the free trial AFTER I requested it to be cancelled.
I signed up for a free trial. At the sign up- it said that I will receive a reminder text message so I do not forget to cancel or continue on. I did not receive a text message or an email. I had tried to cancel, however it requires you to call in within hours that I was at work. I did try to email them, and cancel online but it would not let me. I logged onto my account and it said I still had a day to cancel- the reason I was able to call that day is because I took the day off to take my boyfriend to Emergency.
My first day was May 26th- 4 weeks later was June 23rd (the day I was at the hopsital). I called to cancel it, and while I was on hold I was charged the $69.99 that day! I requested a refund and was told that they can not refund me as the 4 week period is over! However, my account said that I still had the one day remaining and I happened to be able to call. If I was late on calling, I can understand being charged. However, I find it extremely unprofessional that they decided they can not refund me even though it said I still had a day left to cancel within the policy, and due to the circumstances of them making it very difficult to cancel I thought they would be a bit understanding.
I do not recommend this company, as it is a scam to take your money even if you are within the cancellation policy.
Desired Outcome
I am requesting to be refunded the amount that the company should not have taken as it was within the cancellation policy.

Shaw Academy has not provided my refund even though my first request over the phone was two weeks, another in writing 7 days ago.
Shaw Academy uses less than ethical business practices and makes it incredibly difficult to cancel, request a refund then actually receive a refund. Numerous occasions over email I requested to cancel my account. Shaw Academy would not cancel my account. Shaw Academy then charged my card (unwillingly). I was told via email I had to go through my online membership to find the number to cancel. A cumbersome process that was unreasonably difficult to find on their website. That number held me on hold for extended periods of time, and every time I was about to be connected to a human the call mysteriously disconnected. As a Verizon customer, this is very abnormal. I called three times, each time disconnected once I was about to be connected after being on hold.
I complained via email the phone systems were not working. Then I tried calling again, and on my fourth attempt I was finally able to connect to a person to cancel and request my refund. I received confirmation that my account was cancelled and my refund issued. 7 days later, my refund has yet to be issued. I then tried calling that same number, but would not be connected to a human. I can only assume as my account no longer being active, Shaw Academy wouldn't speak to me.
Then, I followed up with another email requesting a refund. Now I have written confirmation of the refund being authorized. 7 days later, no refund still. I have followed up multiple times now via email asking for updates regarding my refund. I've also copied the CEO on these emails as well.
No updates have been given.
I foolishly became involved in Shaw Academy from an Instagram Ad for a free trial offer. Had I had the foresight to first check online and see many more reviews like mine, I could have avoided the incredible hassle, hours of time wasted, migraine, and effectively free loan I've given Shaw. Further, the lack of transparency, slow-dragging of the feet, and complete lack of communication, this company clearly embodies less than ethical business practices at the expense of it's customers under the guise of providing "an education".
Desired Outcome
I am seeking a full refund plus an accruing interest and any fines towards this business the Revdex.com finds adequate. They have shown no remorse to any of the past students they've attempted to swindle, and have only continued their shady business practice to scam money from people looking to improve their lives.

Shaw Academy was not responding to my emails for a refund request or cancellation request. Zero response. Coincidentally, since Shaw has been aware of my Revdex.com complaint, I've now been receiving daily emails from Shaw Academy employees. Daily. It's getting to the point of being harassing now.
It shouldn't take a formal complaint to receive a refund. It shouldn't take a formal complaint to receive a response from a company. And judging by Shaw Academy's action, none of this would have been possible without a formal complaint.
Shaw Academy has shown through their actions they will continue their unethical business practices. How many other students have had their money stolen from them because they decided not to pursue a formal complaint?
As such, this refund is not acceptable.
Otherwise Shaw Academy will continue it's shady business practice of unethical business by:
1) ignoring written requests of cancellation
2) ignoring emails from customers
3) ignoring refund requests
Yet once I am no longer a customer, and my refund has been posted due to this Revdex.com letter, I am now receiving daily emails from Shaw when I couldn't get a response before to save my life.
It shouldn't take a formal complaint to receive a refund or response. I'm looking for a letter from the CEO explaining how changes will be made at Shaw Academy to ensure no other student's will be swindled out of their money by the purposeful inaction of Shaw Academy.

They won't give me a refund back despite multiple attempts to do so, one click purchases are bad and should not exist. "Free" trial is misleading.
t's creek. I have yet to receive a refund from them and seeing all the complaints on their Revdex.com page now ballooning to over 1,200, I now know to never be tricked by these guys again. Be warned when signing up.
So I was up s
Just want my money back man. And get rid of 1-click purchases, its so dumb and anti-consumer. It's clearly there so if 40$ isn't a lot to you, you won't bother going through this mess.

They Did Not state why they could not process a refund.
i would like my $69.99 refunded.

I need them to refund my money and cancel my plan with them.
sorry to hear that you had to go through such trouble, This is definitely not the kind of service we stand for!

I want a full refund of $69.99.
Hai ***, We are sorry to let you down with this experience. However, I would surely want to help you with the same, But as we have no records of you requesting us to cancel the membership before the date/time of auto-renewal(and we would like to inform you that you were not charged on Sunday the auto renewal happen on 29th June that Monday after the free trial) hence we request you to kindly provide us with any details or screenshot related to this issue which would help us know that you had contacted us in anyways on time so that we can help you with this issue and get this resolved ASAP, Kindly provide details through Email- ***@shawacademy.com

They have charged me without my authorization even after I made a request to cancel my subscription.
Moreover, their system to make an exit is so complicated and hard that you can't easily go without paying them.
They have charged me $69.99 and all I want from them is the refund.

Thankyou

I need a refund of the charges wrongfully charged on my credit card. I need my membership cancelled and all my details deleted from Shaw records.

I sign up for a free 30 trial, I cancel after 10 days (i captured the cancellation message on my phone) and they charge me 69.99$ today.
I sign up for a 30 days trial and realize after 10 days that I dont have enough time for an online course. I cancel after 10 days and, after multiple pages asking me if I really want to cancel (and I was saying yes all the time), receive a Phone number with a cancellation code. I call the number, enter my code and the system hang up. I figure everything was ok but was charge 69.99$ on my credit card this morning. I want a refund
Have Shaw academy refund me

I am seeking restitution of my funds for a service I've not signed up for, nd its as simple as that honestly. I've read up on some other complaints directed to this company, and it doesn't seem like i am the only one who has had this problem. If there's anything that can be done, and my refund can be processed, please contact me via email (***@gmail.com) on my next steps, if any. Thank you for your time.
Hai ***, We are extremely sorry for the unpleasant experience with us, We have reviewed your account and would like to confirm that we have charged $139.98 USD for the purchase (Shaw Academy Premium Membership - Monthly Subscription) made via our Auto-renewal option, As per our Terms and Condition mentioned to you during the registration this is a non-refundable charge hence we would not be able to refund that amount, Our intention was not to upset you in any way.

Hi ***,
We completely understand your concern on being charged for the monthly subscription. However, we notice that you have joined us through the email ***@gmail.com. We would like to bring to your attention that the amount that has been debited from your account is for auto renewal of the course.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience you faced. However we would like to bring it to you attention that we cannot be responsible nor accountable for someone else misusing your bank account. We suggest you contact your bank and dispute that someone else is misusing your We are sorry to inform you that the refund is notcard so they can have blocked immediately. As far as we are concern we have upheld our part of the contract with registered person.
What I want is a refund of the 2 charges for $69.99 that I was charged for May and June.
Hai ***, We are sorry to let you down with this experience.
They must refund my $139.99 and give me a free year of service for my time.
Hi ***,
I have reviewed your account and would like to confirm that we have charged for the purchases you made via our one click purchase option.

I want a full refund back to my account and that membership cancelled immediately.
