On 4/5/2020 I got an email saying "well done for getting back on track" WHICH I DID NOT AUTHORIZE. so I called the number and after about 15 different prompts of trying to get me to not cancel I got to the end and it told me I couldn't cancel over the phone or something. So I go online to AGAIN cancel and it tells me I have to call the number. So instead I email the support email I got an email on 4/7/2020 stating that my account was cancelled. Yesterday 5/6/2020 I got a notification from my bank that Shaw Academy charged me $69.99 and OF COURSE it won't let me cancel online. THIS WEBSITE IS A SCAM!!! They reinstate accounts that have been cancelled without people's permission and even though in their original "sorry, we cancelled your account for real this time" email they told me they would credit me with 2 FREE MONTHS, I STILL GOT CHARGED THE VERY NEXT MONTH. I'm BEYOND *** especially when during this COVID-19 pandemic having my money NOT be going to businesses I don't want it to is SO IMPORTANT. Maybe Shaw Academy will see this and fix my issue since I highly doubt I'll receive an email back.

Worst schooling experience I've ever had. All the classes consisted of me refreshing the page several times. They also charged $39.99,not authorized
This school has been a nightmare. I constantly had to keep refreshing the page to watch the video lessons, it took more than 2 hours to complete a 1 hour lesson. Just did nothing to waste my time.
I've explained to them over again I wanted my account cancelled too because their was a typo on my email, they were so unhelpful, it's like they don't care,in their responses,all they did is offer me a discount for more schooling skipping the subject.
Then when I tried to change my schedule, it decided to charge me $39.99 for an e-certificate which I obviously didn't authorized, for that Shaw Academy does IMMEDIATELY! The audacity of these people, slowpokes for everything else,but immediately will take your money and plays a game of cat and mouse when emailing you, enough is enough! This school was purely stressful, probably why they are so 'affordable' I've never had an experience like this,ever for any schooling. Im 2 classes away from getting the diploma which now I've been charged for. I'd also like to add their phone number is invalid as there is never anyone to pick up the phone conveniently. If these people could organize themselves more & if their schooling was more professional and put together it would be fine

A few weeks ago I sighed up for the 4-week free trial at shaw academy, for a graphics design course. I cancelled my subscription immediately after. On the 1st of may, however, I was billed $69.99. I had called the number given to unsubscribed and followed all the steps.

I have not been able to complete any of the coursework due to a very busy schedule. I remembered that my trial period is coming to an end soon. I went to my email to see if I could find the email. I finally find the email and it appears that I signed up 4/27/20. From the email I go to their site and I try to cancel the subscription. After searching and searching I finally find the billing and payments option and an option to cancel. They ask and up sell several times before they will cancel the subscription. On the last attempt to cancel they give you a message that states "We're Sorry you're thinking of leaving us. To confirm your cancellation you are required to call the number fir your specific country provided below.....(XXX) XXX-XXX" I called the number and all you get is a recording that someone will call you back on the number you called in on and then it hangs up.

I requested to cancel my subscription 3 days prior to the ending of my free 30 days trial. The next day Shaw academy withdrew the funds anyway.
On April 8, 2020, I subscribed to Shaw Academy's free 30 day trial. They required a payment method in order to sign up. They promised that they will not charge me anything until after the 30 days have expired. They promised that I could cancel my subscription at anytime prior to the 30 days to keep from being charged. I put that request in on May 5, 2020 appx 11pm. Their site told me I must call customer service between 11am & 8pm M-F for confirmation. I checked the website the following day to find that they'd changed my status from "in-trial" to "active". They withdrew funds from my account at appx 11am before I could contact them to confirm the cancellation. I've sent multiple emails to them with no response.

I was charged a month after contacting the business three times to cancel.
I signed up for a "free" trial. On the first day I realized it was NOT free. I called the company to cancel and requested an email confirmation. I did not receive an email confirmation. I logged back in and noticed it said membership active. I emailed the company saying they did not cancel my membership and it needed to be canceled. I received no email response. I called the company to cancel it again. They confirmed again it had been canceled. It is now a month later and I was charged $70!

I was charged for a cancelled subscription and they are refusing to refund the money.
I signed up for a 4 week trial on March 23rd. I cancelled after 6 days, I have an email dated March 29th that says my membership was cancelled. I was told I wouldn't be charged as long as I cancelled within the trial period. On April 27th I was charged, they are now stating they cannot refund because I didn't cancel within the trial period. Unauthorised charges deducted from my credit card

Company states they cannot refund for the "toolkit" product they offer because the content has been transferred to me.
At the time of signing up for the course, I did not realize that Shaw Academy is a scam. I realized something was wrong when reviewing the course on their app and accidentally clicked on the "toolkit", because the site did not provide a "review order" prior to purchase. It took $39.95 without hesitation. It was then I researched Google reviews and was shocked to find others had experienced similar issues with the company.
I contacted Shaw Academy via email and their response: "Once the Toolkit is activated in your account it is made available to you and we have transferred the content to you hence it cannot be disabled as it was provided therefore, we cannot refund".
They are offering $199 in credit to continue with their course and program and 3 additional toolkits provided at no cost to me. Doesn't matter. I do not want to participate within their program I haven't started; questioning if I am receiving proper education.

Shaw academy has made an unauthorized transaction on my credit card, when asked multiple times they send the same automated response.
I was charged with 60$ earlier in March 2020, and then was charged 70$ on April 3rd 2020.

I was not even able to login to the website upon trying multiple times.

Essentially the same as clearly a lot of other individuals. They took an unauthorised payment during a "free trial" and refuse to refund me.
Monday the 4th of May I signed up for Shaw Academy's free trial and signed up for a course (the psychology of sales). However before I had even started the first module, my paypal (what I had used to verify my payment details with in the event I wish to continue my education with Shaw Academy as is required) informed me via email that a sum of £39.95 has been taken from my account. I contacted them immediately and spoke with a representative who told me they would pass *** on to someone authorised to process my refund. After two days (bringing us to the 6th of May) I finally got an email from another representative informing me they would not be returning my money as apparently I had purchased some form of e certificate. I do not know how this could be possible since I had not even began the first module by the time they had taken the funds from me. I replied to this second representative essentially outlining what I have outlined in this description, only to be met with no reply.
Desired Outcome
I would simply like my money back as I am currently unemployed due to the corona virus and out of the sheer principle that this seems to be a common theme among people who deal with shaw academy. This kind of business practice is abhorrent and immoral, especially during a time like this, where they are promoting their "free" courses to people knowing they are more likely to sign up as we are for the most part, resigned to our homes.

The refund came through, simply late
cancel a "free trial" membership before the expiration date but have been charged & they refuse to refund. Phone number non-working, hangs up
I made several attempts to cancel a "free trial" but additional steps are required beyond submitting the request online. Phone number provided does not recognize the id number that was provided to me & hangs up without letting me speak to anyone or get the correct id to proceed. Multiple faulty phone numbers are given at each attempt to cancel & none of them work. Emails are responded to with an autoresponse & will not understand that I want to cancel. After a week of trying to cancel online or by phone or email, I've been charged & they refuse to refund me or recognize my earlier attempts to cancel. This company is a scam to steal my credit card info & identity.

I just registered on 1st of May and did not even start my free trial. I never used my free trial and before that $69.99 was deducted. I was wrongfully charged $69.99 for a monthly membership. I was not made aware of this charge until it went through my PayPal.
On April 7th I signed up for a free 4 week course on Shaw Academy. On May 5th my PayPal was charged $69.99. The ad that I had seen for this offer made me to believe that I would pay by course not by month. That info was wrong however. What I has signed up for was a monthly premium membership, the first month free, then billing each month after. I was not made aware of this and I was not given any notice before the charge was given. I reached out to Shaw Academy asking about a refund and they falsely told me that I had bought the "toolkit" package, and it had been used and therefore I would not be able to be refunded. The only subscription I have through Shaw Academy is the premium membership, and that I didn't even end up using, nor did I use the toolkit that I had supposedly bought. I believe that the ad that Shaw Academy put out would lead their costumers to false understanding, and at the very least, they should have notified me when the free trial had ended.

Shaw Academy billed me for a membership I did not purchase and took money out of my account, during this COVID crisis.
The ad was found on instagram, signing up for a Graphic Design course for free. I signed into a new account and took the free class. I checked my email on May 5, 2020 and it said Shaw Academy had charged me $69.99 for a premium membership. Transaction number 1HXXXXXXEXXXXXXXW. There was no warning, or a clear message when I signed up that this would charge me for a premium membership or that is what I was signing up for.

I requested to cancel my subscription 3 days prior to the ending of my free 30 days trial. The next day Shaw academy withdrew the funds anyway.
On April 8, 2020, I subscribed to Shaw Academy's free 30 day trial. They required a payment method in order to sign up. They promised that they will not charge me anything until after the 30 days have expired. They promised that I could cancel my subscription at anytime prior to the 30 days to keep from being charged. I put that request in on May 5, 2020 appx 11pm. Their site told me I must call customer service between 11am & 8pm M-F for confirmation. I checked the website the following day to find that they'd changed my status from "in-trial" to "active". They withdrew funds from my account at appx 11am before I could contact them to confirm the cancellation. I've sent multiple emails to them with no response.
I am requesting a refund. I am not enrolled in any of their courses.

I was charged a month after contacting the business three times to cancel.
I signed up for a "free" trial. On the first day I realized it was NOT free. I called the company to cancel and requested an email confirmation. I did not receive an email confirmation. I logged back in and noticed it said membership active. I emailed the company saying they did not cancel my membership and it needed to be canceled. I received no email response. I called the company to cancel it again. They confirmed again it had been canceled. It is now a month later and I was charged $70!

They charged me on May 1st and then I filed a dispute on May 6th after being unable to get ahold of the company. Shaw Academy then DENIED my dispute when they could have simply accepted it and given me my money back. They are trying to look on the Revdex.com site as they are a good company, but they are keeping my money.

I need to be refunded for a toolkit purchased from Shaw Academy without my consent or acknowledgment. I did not approve this purchase.
I signed up for a free trial at Shaw Academy on Wednesday April 29, 2020. I scheduled my first class yesterday and had to change it to today May 7th, 2020. I logged on to the site today to view the site and just get familiar with it for my first class. The next thing you know I was redirected to a different site, I thought it was a little confusing so I just returned to the initial thing I was looking at. I then got an alert from my bank saying that I was charged for a toolkit from Shaw Academy. It was $34.00 and I did NOT approve this. I did not even know it was purchased, I do not want it or need it. I signed up for this course to better learn more about Social Media not to be charged things sneakily and without consent. I think this is so appalling and unprofessional. I do not want to continue with this course, if this is the way things are at Shaw Academy. I do not want to use this toolkit at all, and I do not want to be involved in it. I want my money back, I did not approve this, it is so frustrating to see this on my statement especially during this time. These are unprecedented times and purchases without consumers knowledge should not be PLACED EVER

I was charged for a cancelled subscription and they are refusing to refund the money.
I signed up for a 4 week trial on March 23rd. I cancelled after 6 days, I have an email dated March 29th that says my membership was cancelled. I was told I wouldn't be charged as long as I cancelled within the trial period. On April 27th I was charged, they are now stating they cannot refund because I didn't cancel within the trial period. Even though I have an email stating it was cancelled 6 days later, well within the 4 week trial. They are now ignoring my emails.

Unauthorised charges deducted from my credit card
I signed up for the free sessions of Social Media Marketing in March and did not opt to continue after the completion of the free sessions. However I have been charged 69.99$ last 2 months without authorisation or agreeing to continue the course. I have written to the academy but they claim not to find my record on their system. I have all emails and messages received from them after I signed up, how can they claim not to have my record?

Company states they cannot refund for the "toolkit" product they offer because the content has been transferred to me.
At the time of signing up for the course, I did not realize that Shaw Academy is a scam. I realized something was wrong when reviewing the course on their app and accidentally clicked on the "toolkit", because the site did not provide a "review order" prior to purchase. It took $39.95 without hesitation. It was then I researched Google reviews and was shocked to find others had experienced similar issues with the company.
I contacted Shaw Academy via email and their response: "Once the Toolkit is activated in your account it is made available to you and we have transferred the content to you hence it cannot be disabled as it was provided therefore, we cannot refund".
They are offering $199 in credit to continue with their course and program and 3 additional toolkits provided at no cost to me. Doesn't matter. I do not want to participate within their program I haven't started; questioning if I am receiving proper education.

Shaw academy has made an unauthorized transaction on my credit card, when asked multiple times they send the same automated response.
I was charged with 60$ earlier in March 2020, and then was charged 70$ on April 3rd 2020.
Upon sending multiple emails, I never received an valid response instead they kept sending me automated responses, which are clearly of no use.
I was not even able to login to the website upon trying multiple times.
They are just looting public money, and keep sending the non-sense replies.

This company charged my PayPal a charge, refunded the charge which I have been denied the refund. I tried to cancel membership but site says notfound
I purchased a course on May 6, 2020. I was supposed to be free for 4 weeks. I was not able to log on on May 7, 2020 to cancel the membership before this class started. I was told my email was not found. I have been emailing all morning to cancel my membership without taking the classes but I am being given the run around. I do not want to be charged various charges to my PayPal account fir services not rendered when I have not taken any classes and tried to cancel but their system will not allow me to. I can't talk to PayPal because they are closed and but their system says it is in the UK. I believe this is a scam and don't want to be scammed out if my money. Please help.

Essentially the same as clearly a lot of other individuals. They took an unauthorised payment during a "free trial" and refuse to refund me.
Monday the 4th of May I signed up for Shaw Academy's free trial and signed up for a course (the psychology of sales). However before I had even started the first module, my paypal (what I had used to verify my payment details with in the event I wish to continue my education with Shaw Academy as is required) informed me via email that a sum of £39.95 has been taken from my account. I contacted them immediately and spoke with a representative who told me they would pass *** on to someone authorised to process my refund. After two days (bringing us to the 6th of May) I finally got an email from another representative informing me they would not be returning my money as apparently I had purchased some form of e certificate. I do not know how this could be possible since I had not even began the first module by the time they had taken the funds from me. I replied to this second representative essentially outlining what I have outlined in this description, only to be met with no reply.
I would simply like my money back as I am currently unemployed due to the corona virus and out of the sheer principle that this seems to be a common theme among people who deal with shaw academy. This kind of business practice is abhorrent and immoral, especially during a time like this, where they are promoting their "free" courses to people knowing they are more likely to sign up as we are for the most part, resigned to our homes.

The refund came through, simply late
cancel a "free trial" membership before the expiration date but have been charged & they refuse to refund. Phone number non-working, hangs up
I made several attempts to cancel a "free trial" but additional steps are required beyond submitting the request online. Phone number provided does not recognize the id number that was provided to me & hangs up without letting me speak to anyone or get the correct id to proceed. Multiple faulty phone numbers are given at each attempt to cancel & none of them work. Emails are responded to with an autoresponse & will not understand that I want to cancel. After a week of trying to cancel online or by phone or email, I've been charged & they refuse to refund me or recognize my earlier attempts to cancel. This company is a scam to steal my credit card info & identity.

Deduction of money before I even start my free trial.
I just registered on 1st of May and did not even start my free trial. I never used my free trial and before that $69.99 was deducted. The payment was deducted by my credit card that I filled for the trial period. I was wrongfully charged $69.99 for a monthly membership. I was not made aware of this charge until it went through my PayPal.
On April 7th I signed up for a free 4 week course on Shaw Academy. On May 5th my PayPal was charged $69.99. The ad that I had seen for this offer made me to believe that I would pay by course not by month. That info was wrong however. What I has signed up for was a monthly premium membership, the first month free, then billing each month after. I was not made aware of this and I was not given any notice before the charge was given. I reached out to Shaw Academy asking about a refund and they falsely told me that I had bought the "toolkit" package, and it had been used and therefore I would not be able to be refunded. The only subscription I have through Shaw Academy is the premium membership, and that I didn't even end up using, nor did I use the toolkit that I had supposedly bought. I believe that the ad that Shaw Academy put out would lead their costumers to false understanding, and at the very least, they should have notified me when the free trial had ended.

Shaw Academy billed me for a membership I did not purchase and took money out of my account, during this COVID crisis.
The ad was found on instagram, signing up for a Graphic Design course for free. I signed into a new account and took the free class. I checked my email on May 5, 2020 and it said Shaw Academy had charged me $69.99 for a premium membership. Transaction number 1HXXXXXXEXXXXXXXW. There was no warning, or a clear message when I signed up that this would charge me for a premium membership or that is what I was signing up for.

Over the weekend I received a charge on my bank account for $59.99 and when I contacted the organization they stated although I cancelled, I resigned up and therefore were charged at the end of the trial and wouldn't refund me my money even though I haven't taken advantage of their service nor received a certificate.
