The company is lying. I haven't received any refund or email confirming the refund. Infact, I received an email from a guy called Marcus and then a guy called Vaughan saying they are giving me some additional certifications which is not the answer I am looking for.

I am asking for a refund of the amount 34.95 CAD that they charged my account with.

Also wondering without even emailing me and asking for my account details, how does the company claim to have refunded? I in fact also contacted the billing team via email and they replied saying they wont send me the refund. And I have filed this complain so that I can get a refund for something that I was tricked into

The issue has been resolved. I have received a refund.

Took money and refused a refund.
Shaw Academy took money out of my account after I cancelled my trail on 04/04/20. On 04/22 $69.99 was taken from my account and they refused refund. After exchanging multiple emails they said that they can not refund because it had already been processed. They offered a 12 months "free" (which we all know that is a lie) and I finally said I'd take it (this was 15 emails later). I have not head back from them since 04/23/20 and today is 04/28. This "academy" is a scam! DO NOT DO ANYTHING WITH THIS "ACADEMY"!!

I want a refund of my money!! I had cancelled my "service" and they still took my money!

I signed up for a 4 week trial for Shaw Academy March 23rd. After seeing how their classes were structured I saw it was not going to work for my schedule. On April 16 I attempted to cancel my subscription. They asked me to call to cancel my subscription but when I called I when through a series of prompts but was not able to get to a menu to cancel. I tried a few other times. On April 23rd I was charged even though I had been in contact and trying to cancel. Now the company is completely ignoring all requests for a refund. They are a complete scam and you can see evidence and stories all over the internet. I say we get a class action going and kick this company from the US. We don't need preditory companies like this doing business here.

I want my money back and Shaw Academy should make it easier for others to cancel before payment.

I signed up for the free trial, cancelled my account after a week, and then was charged $60 anyway. I have called and emailed many times to no avail.
I signed up for the free, cancelled about a week later, and was charged anyway. I have called and emailed many times and haven't heard back. This is a SCAM. I am a college student who has been displaced by COVID-19, and I can't afford this charge.

Cancellation of subscription
Tried to cancel my subscription with them online but I have to phone a number which just rings and never gets answered to cancel my membership. They also have links on their websites that are misleading and you automatically purchase things without confirming you want to purchase it. They wouldnt refund the accidental purchase even though I didnt even download the content because I never wanted to purchase it in the first place. I just wanted to see more information about it which never happened because it just purchased it.

I would like my money back and for them to never charge my paypal again.

Thank you for your assistance, my subscription has been cancelled and I have recieved my refund.

I was charged for a Service I did not select ($39.99)

And was unable to cancel membershio within agrees upon time due to limited access to company.
Two seperate complaints:

1. I was charged 39.99 for a Service did not desire. On 4.6.2020 I recieved an email congratulating for unlocking a Module kit. I did not order anything. I have emailed them three times cordially requesting the charge be reversed and have not recieved an answer. Noone answers when I call.

2. I have been charged for a First months membership due to inability to reach the company to cancel. I signed up for a 4 week trial membership on 3.30.2020. I went to cancel on 4.25.2020. When you tabulate the days in this time You get 27 days. Four weeks is 28 days. Here is the Problem and why I am contacting you for assistance. I went online to cancel my membership and after answering several questions on several screens I reached a screen that directed me to call them to complete the cancellation process. In addition I was told that I could only call them again on Monday, 4.27.2020- one day beyond the 4 week trial. Accordingly I was charged $69.99 on the next day after the end of the trial period. I emailed the company on 4.25.2020 and three more times to explain the situation and request a refund and have not received a response. The question is following: how can I cancel any time when it is not possible under their unpublicized terms to cancel anytime? What about others who wish to cancel on Weekends? It is impossible to cancel in this type of situation and avoid being automatically enrolled in a subscription.

Desired Outcome

I am seeking the following: 1. Refund for product totaling $39.99 that was charged to my credit card that I did Not purchase. 2. Refund for $69.99 for a monthly subscription that was activated due to my inability to cancel trial membership due to a cancellation procedure that does not make cancellations possible on weekends.

I signed up for the free trial and cancelled my account before my trial was over from the website and was still charged.
I signed up because they had a 4 week free trial, near the last few days of my trial I cancelled my account online and then after my trial ended I was charged 69.99 and they told me they will not refund the money. This is the 2nd problem I've had with them. During the first week of my trial I clicked to see what Was included with a tool kit and they charged me 34.95 and wouldn't refund that amount as well, they just offered other items for the website that I wasn't interested in and that is the same thing they offered now when trying to get my refund of 69.99.

I would like to have atleast my 69.99 refunded and no further charges going forward

They finally refunded my amount that was taken out

I started the free trial and after only 1 week I decided the class sucked. I cancelled, they charged my card anyways. They refuse to refund my money.

Try to cancel online. Then they force me to call a phone number. then have to listen to 10 minutes sale pitch. then cancel.
I cancelled my subscription online. Then they said I need to call a 1800 number to finish the cancellation process. Over the phone, they play the trick of switching (1 for yes) (2 for no) multiple times.
It took 10 minutes to listen to their sales pitch in order to finally cancelled the service. Even I have successfully canceled the service, they now kept on texting me and emailing me. I blocked their number, they switch the phone number and text me again.

Desired Outcome

I finished the painful cancellation process. It shouldn't be this way.

Tried to cancel my subscription on the website, phone number given in order to cancel is not in use
The company made an unauthorised payment on my card. I immediately tried to cancel my subscription and after being brought through a number of different screens trying to convince me not to cancel the membership I was presented with a phone number and student reference number, which I needed to confirm the cancellation of the subscription. I rang the phone number provided and was met with a dial tone, this means I can not cancel my subscription fully and I am not using the service and do not want to be charged for it again.

Desired Outcome

I have already been in contact with paypal on this issue as I would like the money from the subscription to be returned to my account. As well as this I would like my subscription to be discontinued from the website and all associated information to be removed/deleted.

I followed a link on Facebook to try 4 week FREE class and canceled the course less than an hour later but my credit card was still charged.
I was charge during free trial period and the business refused to refund. Every time I contacted them they offered me more free programs which are not accredited and pretty much worthless in terms of education. Patric from Shawacademy refused to refund even though I never took a dig gel class and canceled well within 4 week free trial. Based on guidelines they were not supposed to charge the card if membership was canceled within 4 weeks of trial. It is absolute scam that Needs attention.

I was charged $69.99 & requested a refund 3 days following which they have not complied f/a course I've never accessed during the free trial or after.
A free trial course was initiated which I never accessed due to the effects of the COVID19 Pandemic. I was charged $69.99 on April 22nd and I requested a refund on April 25th (three days following)which is the first and only time I accessed my membership account to cancel my my account and request a refund. I've sent three emails independent of Shaw Academy website, another email from their website and also by a website complaint email to no avail. Due to the financial hardship and challenges from COVID19 I did not have the time for the course and most certainly cannot afford for them not to issue a refund to me.

Desired Outcome

I would like to be refunded in the same manner that I was charged.

I am no way interested in anything that Shaw Academy has to offer given their lack of consideration, delayed response from my initial request and the inability to contact a person directly. In light of that, what they've offered will not be a feasible solution. A refund in the same amount I've been charged would.

HUGE SCAM! I'd give it zero stars if I could. I'm surprised for how legit they made their website look. I had signed up for their "28 day free trial". After a day I've gotten so many annoying repetitive emails about their offers and such. I decided to look at the reviews online about this so called academy. Turns out it's a fake! They charge you even after your "free" trial. $60 or so a month. So I go to try and cancel mine before they do the same to me, right? It was near impossible to unsubscribe. I went to the website and clicked Cancel and unsubscribe from my classes. I have to go through several pages of canceling my trial before it takes me to a page with a number they tell me I have to call to quit. I call the number. No one picks up at first. I call again a bit later and it's an automated voice message of a woman throwing more deals as I hit a number to continue my cancellation. once I finally get to the end of rejecting their offers, the woman recorded tells me that to cancel my trial I NOW HAVE TO EMAIL THEM. SO FRUSTRATING. So I did email them. I get an email a day later saying that they've lost my information in their system and want me to provide an email so they can find history of me subscribing to their scam company. So I got my credit card number changed and they haven't been able to charge me anything. They design their website so people get so annoyed they'll just give up and let them take their money. Don't sign up. Report this website somehow if you can.

I signed up for a 14 day trial on Mar 22.
I asked to cancel multiple times. Got generic responses. My log-in stopped working. Continue to get billed.
I signed up for 14 day trial for a course on March 22nd.
Decided to cancel within that time period.
Tried to cancel by logging into my account and got told there was no account associated with that email address, which is incorrect, because I have the welcome email from March 22nd going to that email address.
I submitted a help inquiry to their online customer service on April 7th saying I could not log in, and wanted to cancel. They responded with 'log in to your account', which I explicitly explained I can't do.
I sent another help inquiry on April 14, and they didn't respond until April 27.
They continue to tell me to cancel by logging in, which I've explained multiple times that I can't do!
They have charged me FOUR times - $34.95, $34.95, $39.95 and now $59.99.
These are ALL fraudulent and I've disputed them each time with Chase bank.
I need Shaw Academy to cancel my subscription, as I've asked multiple times.
This is completely unacceptable.

I need them to STOP charging me. And to refund all the existing transactions up to this point.

When I try to call Shaw Academy to confirm my cancellation, no one answers me and I don't want them charging me for a service I don't want.
I purchased a graphic design class from Shaw Academy during the week of April 20 because I thought it would be something I would be interested in. Once taking one class, I realized it was a waste of time if they didn't give you access to certain software that is needed for the course. That was not clearly explained during the promotion. So, I went on to attempt to cancel the course and they said I must call a number to confirm the cancellation. I called the number numerous times and still haven't gotten any answer from them and I am getting frustrated because they are going to charge me in May for a service I don't even want. This company is a scam and they need to be shut down for this.

Unethical sales tactics with one-click purchase without informing user that it's a purchase
On April 7, 2020, I wanted to sign up for a free trial only and I thought I did that since I entered my credit card information and submitted it. On the next page, I assumed that I had already signed up for my trial and wanted to access to my courses. That's when a popup stating that most students do this showed up and I thought that's how I access my courses. Turns out it was a one-click purchase, the popup did not show a price or mention payment or upgrade, so it was very misleading.

Desired Outcome

I contacted the business right away telling them it was not my intention to upgrade, it was an accidental click. They responded by saying they don't offer refunds. I have not used their services and viewed any content in their program, I refuse to support an immoral company with unethical sales tactics.

Shaw Academy is offering special promotions by phone calls and then does not keep their promises but do make the charge on your credit card!!
The last Friday I received a call from Show Academy, from Faheem N (***@success.shawacademy.com). He told me that he had a special offer for me and told me that if I bought the subscription extension for 3 months for $99 to complete my certification in Nutrition, he would give me all the toolkits and e-certificates for the 4 modules for free so I could get my certificate in Nutrition. He told me that if a agree I had to answer his e-mail with the confirmation and asking him to unlock my e-certificates and toolkits and he would do that. I did it and specifically wrote in my email that I would agree to pay the extension just with the condition that he would give me for free the toolkits and e-certificates of the 4 modules. He didn't answer my email but made me the charge on my credit card and has no answered to me anymore, neither unlocked anything.
Now I want my USD 99 refund or to comply with unlocking the toolkits and e-certificates of the 4 modules of Nutrition.

Shaw Academy took money from my account after I attempted to close it multiple times. They should be taken out of business.
I placed an order March 23rd for a 4 Week Free Trial with Shaw Academy via PayPal. I logged into my account 8 days before my trial was up, and yet I still got charged $35. I requested my money back and they degrade you via their automated phone system basically calling you a quitter if you decide to try to cancel their services. I placed 3 formal requests for a refund and they gave me *** every single time. I intend to get my money back plus damages one way or another.
