The A/C unit of my home broke on Thursday 8/2- I am months pregnant, live in ** and being without A/C is dangerous for both myself and my baby when outside is Fidelity Home Warranty computer system was down and they were unreachable the day of failureI called an independent contractor as I needed quick resolutionIt turned out it was not a simple fix and since the system is very old parts are not readily availableNo repairs were done this day in effort to respect Fidelity policy; I called again in the morning and the system was still down so they couldn't place a service order for me for another 2-hrs according to the representative; I called back and After hours wait and after another near hours on hold a supervisor allowed me to submit a quote from a vendor of my choice so the issue can be resolved that dayHe charged me $**-their service fee to issue permission to utilize outside vendorOnce I did so I had to get on the phone again- an hour and a half holdThe p

I bought a condo on 9/1/The Seller bought a home warranty from Fidelity to cover any issues that may come up doing my first year of ownershipA few weeks after living here, I noticed a substantial leak coming from my showerI called Fidelity to report the issue on 9/13/They sent a plumber to check it out on 9/16/While there, the plumber and I noted a few other issues thatI called Fidelity that same day to try and add them to the claimI was told that they would have to create a separate claimOn 9/22/they requested more information about the inspection that was performed during the escrow processThat same day I emailed them a copy of my Home Inspection ReportThree weeks went by with no response from FidelityOn 10/7/16, I finally went to the website to follow up on the issueThey finally responded back to me on 10/17/16, by email, to deny my claimThe email read as follows: "I apologize for the delay you have experiencedFNHW has obtained a report from the

Horrid customer service/support Recently purchased home, seller provided FNHW to cover appliances and HVAC Home inspector recommended getting HVAC full inspection ASAP That turned up a need to replace the furnace completely FNHW approved During installation, contractor discovered the AC evap coils were completely fouled beyond repair FNHW will cover, but will ONLY cover the newer R410A type My AC system is the older Rtype New coils will be incompatible with old compressor FNHW does not cover incompatibility...even when it is THEIR CONTRACT coverage causing the incompatibility So, now after weeks, multiple hours spent on HOLD waiting to speak with FNHW, with NO AC or heat (The furnace cannot be installed until the coils are replaced), I am resigned to the fact that I will have to pony up the addition $$$ to replace the AC compressor Honestly, what good is their warranty? None Don't buy or accept a warranty from this company

No wonder these guys have such horrible reviews onlineTheir "service" department can't even communicate with their insured when decisions have been made about their claimsIt's hard enough to get through to an actual person on the phone, but dealing with their bad attitudes is just the icing on the cakeAlso, their website is something straight out of the dawn of the internet, it's glitchy, slow, and frankly embarrassing for any serious company in this decade*** *** *** ** ** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ** *** *** *** * *** *** ** *** *** *** *** ***

I have a plumbing issue in the bathtub/shower in my new homeIt has been diagnosed by FNHW's plumber as likely a faulty diverter, but he can't be sure without opening the wallMy home warranty with FNHW covers the plumbing repair and states that access to plumbing lines and repair of access openings to a rough finish is covered up to $***Two representatives of the company adamantly claim that "access to plumbing lines" does not cover access to the diverter in the plumbing line and therefore there is an additional charge to open and close the wall to make the covered repair(s)My position is that their interpretation of the warranty is absurd because (1) we don't know for sure what the actual problem is until the plumber opens the wall, and (2) if the problem is covered by the warranty, then by definition, access to the problem is covered

I submitted a claim for a leaky washer when I bought my house, they dispatched a company to come out and fix it, after the tech said he fixed the leak I found that the washer did not work properly, the dial was worn out and it would only run the first part of the Gentle cycleI don't know how the tech missed this, but I submitted the issue to Fidelity National as a recall and they had the company come out and replace the dial on the washer, it took a couple weeks to get the part in which is expected for an older machineThe kicker came when Fidelity charged me another $for the claim, even though it was a recallI spent hours and hours and hours and hours on hold waiting for someone to answer in the "Authorizations" department and no one ever answered, the system would eventually just hang up on me, I reported this to the customer service line, but it was never addressedI finally sent an email demanding that they re-review the claim, since the tech failed to notice the is

This is my second time filing complaint regarding Fidelity Home Warranty on a separate issueTwo of the power outlets in my storage room stopped working so I reported to Fidelity for repairThe assigned electrician checked out the issue and decided we need a rewiring for these two power outletsAfter reporting to Fidelity, they immediately decided rewiring is not covered under my home warranty policy therefore I have to pay for the repair out of my pocketSame as the issue we had last time, there is NO indication from policy documentation that rewiring is not covered under my current policyThe customer service representative was also very rude and refused to offer any help in reaching any alternative solutionFidelity has a very loose standard on how they interpret their home warranty policy and it seems almost impossible to have them deliver any service which I've already paid in full when I signed up for the policyI only filed two claims with Fidelity and we have lots

Absolutely terrible....this is the second time I have dealt with the company in months and both times have been extremely disappointingI bought a home within the year and the old owners purchased the home warranty for meThey used this company because it was the cheapest but it is not worth the $you might save so go with another company! The first time my AC went out in the middle of summer in *** at degreesIt took them weeks to finally replace the part because they kept ordering the wrong part, etc.....who honestly knows because they wouldn't be straight with meIt was degrees inside our house and we had to sleep outside that whole timeNow this second time our dishwasher went out and they quickly realized it was the motor so they ordered a new one and it should have been in within 5-daysNow almost a month later it is still not fixed because they ordered the wrong part but didn't realize that for weeks, then ordered the right one but it isn't in, so now third time maybe they will get it rightAll during this the service provider would not keep me in the loop and answer my calls asking for at least an updateSO IRRITATED AND FED UP BUT I AM LOCKED IN FOR AT LEAST A YEARI understand that they themselves are not doing the work, but the companies they choose to use are terrible and have no communicationCHOOSE ANOTHER COMPANY!!!!!!

Okay people, I would pick some place better to do your businessHeater went out, set up a request and paid the bucksThe guy gets dispatched and come out, takes a tool out and check the amp to the heater, claims it not the heater and that its the circuit breakerhours later I get a call from Fidelity claiming that its not covered by my warranty and we are keeping the $for literally minutes of workWarranty is up in two months, and I'm switching from these low lifesA+ is a joke rating!!!

I have been trying to get my dishwasher repaired/replaced with this company since November 21stIt is now December 26thEvery time they ask me to do something or submit something I do so immediatelyThen I have to call them to see if everything is approvedThey come back and tell me that something else is wrong and they need something else submitted or more informationI had a “licensed” dishwasher repair tech (there is no such license for dhishwasher repair techs but they say you have to have one) call them from my home and speak with them about my dishwasher but they have no noted comments about what the tech saidI then had to contact the tech myself and submit a report on the dishwasherThey do not properly take care of business and have horrible customer service in the authorizations departmentIt would be helpful if you spoke with the same person every time but that never happensI will never use this home warranty company again

My ac unit was brokenFNHW charged me and sent someone outHe said he can't fix itThey told me they can't find anyone and I should hire someone and bill them, but if it needs to be replaced I need to get pre-authorization while the repairman is presentUnfortunately, after an hour on hold, the repairman had to leaveSince then, the call has gone dead a couple of times and, in all, I have spent hours trying to get someone from authorization on the phoneIf the insurance is unable to authorize a replacement and the AC can't be fixed, the insurance is worthless

I have Fidelity Home WarrantyI have a leaky pipe inside my wallsI had a plumber sent by warranty on 12/1/to check out wallsPlumber asks when house was builtI told him 1979, after absestos was bannedHe takes it and writes it incorrectly as 1977, when asbestos was not banned (absestos banned late 1977)Due to this error, he was requiring that asbestos testing was requiredI called the home warranty to tell them there was a mistake, that he had the wrong yearI have submitted documents to the home warranty companyI submitted these documents 12/2/and was supposed to receive a call backI resubmitted documents on 12/and 12/and had never received a call backI called the company again to see if they received the documents and reviewed themIt appeared that they have not as every person I got in contact with had a different storyI had a rude person named *** give me attitude when I inquired about the process of authorizationI have had the Real Estate agent c

I have had Fidelity for the last three years with nothing but problemsShotty work everywhereIts overpriced and nothing is fixedI have a hole in my celiling, a sink that doesn't work and and hole in my drywall all from the people they hire to do the workAlso, even though I paid EXTRA for the A.Coption, they said it's not covered! I have two kids under 2! Worst company ever and I will warn everyone I know!!!

I have been a Fidelity Home Warranty customer since I put in a claim with Fidelity Home Warranty under my policy when my furnace brokeFidelity sent a contractor who initially replaced a blower motorFrom the time the motor was replaced, there was a leaking of waterI called Fidelity, and two additional times, they sent the same contractor who each time told me he fixed, the leak, but instead the leak only became worseNow I have damaged walls and mold growing as a result of their faulty workI called Fidelity again (each time the hold time is more than minutes) and requested they send a different contractorThis contractor showed up late, and then removed a plastic pipe from my furnace, and then left my property saying he had to write a report while water is spewing all over my garageI called Fidelity to report the emergency, and that their contractor had left my house not to returnI waited minutes to speak to a representativeThe representative told me she woul

It took me over months to finally get Fidelity to replace my air conditioning over the hottest months in ***I was told that my out-of-pocket would be $***No small amountFidelity hired the contractor, but after installation, the City Code enforcement found the repair violated state code because Fidelity's contractor failed to install the right amperage on its breakerMy Contract with Fidelity states: "FNHW will pay to correct code violations and/or code upgrades if necessary to affect FNHW-approved repair or replacement of a covered system or appliance up to the combined aggregate of $*** per contract term." Despite this language, Fidelity refuses to effectuate the repair under its contract claiming that it does not diligence on its contractors and just can't be responsible for their mistakes and that the problem should have been included as part of my out-of-pocket expensesIts position violates its own contractual obligations to cover code violations of its contr

Contract*** Generally, I purchased a service warranty with FNHW on April 5, I have called in several service orders and they are either not repairing the issue via the vendors they send out to state that all is operating as it should be or they are denying the claimAnd, in one instance they have approved a claim; however, they (the vendor they have contracted for the repair) will not make the repairThis action is unacceptable as I have purchased the insurance type warranty to cover what the property insurance does not; however, FNHW is taking the funds for the warranty and not making the repairsAnd, to put insult to injury; I received an email stating that to date they have spent $on my behalf for repair; however, no repairs that have resolved the issue have been made

I purchased a home with an older water heater that was working fineOur home inspector noted the location of the water heater should be updated as its location in the garage could lead into someone accidentally driving their car through the water heater, but otherwise the water heater is in good and working orderThe sellers provided us a Fidelity Home Warranty that covers the water heater, furnance, and other appliances After moving into the home for weeks, we noticed the water heater starting to leakWe initiated a service request with Fidelity and they sent a plumber over and the plumber recommended to replace the water heaterFidelity asked for our home inspection doc which we immediately provided to get the ball rolling and our claim was denied due to the placement of the water heater meaning that it wasn't in good or working order (which doesn't make sense)

My air conditioner had a Freon leak and I submitted a service request with Fidelity National Home Warranty on 6/8/The company that was sent to investigate the problem misdiagnosed the source of the leak, labeling it as inaccessibleBecause inaccessible leaks are not covered under my warranty, Fidelity denied payment for the necessary repairsBelieving that the problem had been misdiagnosed I sought a second opinion with a reputable and qualified local companyThey did a much more thorough leak dectection, located the source of the leak within my indoor coils and repaired the leakDue to the fact that my wife had just given birth to our newborn son I had to consider his and her health and safety and paid the costs to fix the leakUpon fixing the leak the unit ran smoothly and operated for approximately minutes before the condenser itself quit runningI then called Fidelity National Home Warranty, explained the situation and the necessity to promptly change the unit, as I my

Our water heater went out and it was covered under FNHW's home warrantyFNHW left us without a water heater for days after following all the necessary procedures of FNHW to ensure we are reimbursed for our costsNot only didn't they reimburse but rather sent us a check for what FNHW actual costs would beThe check wasn't even one-third of our actual costAfter following all the procedures in item number of the contract FNHW refers to item number which states "FNHW has the to offer cash in lieu of repair or replace of the covered system and/or appliance in the amount of FNHW's actual cost to repair or replace such a system or applianceThe amount reimbursed or paid in cash lieu may be less than the retail or actual costs incurred by the contract holder"My contention is that this is that the average consumer would not read item number 11, it being at the very bottom of the contractThen why go through all procedures per FNHW to ensure reimbursement? FNHW's employees walked

Since June 25th the air conditioner has been outService was completed and out in less then a week2nd complaint and quotes to the service provider resulted in for complete replacementThen ont was for a part, then for a part, then to replace only part of the problemOne was delivered damaged, then the 2nd one was to be delivered yesterday and now there is another days before it will allegedly arrive now, even though it was scheduled for yesterday morningThis is unaaceptableIt is between and degrees in my house, I am a disabled veteran and my health is now at riskEach time being told it is expidited to find out being told different things by each individualI spend minutes to hour and minutes on hold each timeThis has caused undue stress, the temperatures have hit degrees and not one ounce of compassion from themThey have also contacted the service provider to have them call the trucking company to see if they can do somethingWas
