I have had a clothes washer malfunction since the end of JulyThe first two visits, the contract provider, *** Appliances replaced, parts, that did not fix the problemThe next two visits, I was told they could not duplicate the problem, despite their being wet clothesin the washers, with water still in the machineThe fifth visit, and third tech said the same thing, but said to find the problem the machine had to go to the shopThe supervisor denied this, and when I offered to have it done here she also told the tech no(I overheard discussion that he had two more places) I contacted FHW company, and their supervisor said this wasn't in my contract, and I read the contract and have seen that yes, they can't take it to the shop, BUT nothing about doing the required work to duplicate the issue
I filed a claim for a defective oven on November 9th, Over the last weeks, Fidelity has sent technicians from different companies to try and repair the ovenMultiple parts were ordered and none of the technicians could repair the ovenInstead of replacing the oven or paying out the claim, Fidelity keeps stalling the process by sending more and more technicians to try and repair a problem that clearly isn't repairableToday they informed that for the third time now, they would send the same technician from Sears that has already made two unsuccessful attempts to repair the ovenMy family has now been without an operating oven for more than daysWe have already spent Thanksgiving without an oven and will now spend Christmas and New Year's without oneFidelity will not commit to a limited number of repair attempts or to a set time frame to resolve the problemThey say they "will keep trying to fix the oven, but will not replace it or pay out the claim"Effectively,
On August 25, we moved into a new homeA 1-year warranty was purchased in our closing cost for $*** through Fidelity National Home WarrantyAccount #*** The first Monday we were there a leak was discovered in the hall bathroom behind the bathtubThis was causing leakage into the kitchenSince we were beginning a remodel on the kitchen we removed all the cabinets and drywall to see the leak and realize the mixer needed to be replacedSince plumbing was covered under the home warranty we decide on August 31, to open a claimWe paid a $** service fee to have someone come out and we understood only plumbing was covered under the warranty which was fine by us, all we needed replaced was the mixerOn September 4, someone from *** *** came out and looking at the leak, they said they would write up a bid and Fidelity National Home Warranty would let us knowAfter three days of not hearing back and we were going to two weeks without being able to use our hall s
I wish there were a way to give zero starsI am the landlord of a condo and have had Fidelity for about yearsOver the years they have been fantastic if you consider putting bandaids on equipment good serviceMy most recent experience however borders on callous, hearltless and pure crookeryWe have had them out multiple times for an a/c unit freezing up due to lack of FreonEach time they will only authorize a Freon fill (which clearly is over the limit of the amount of Freon allowed to be used on one unit prescribed by the EPA)Each time they have sent somebody out I have been told that the unit needs to be replaced as there are multiple leaks and the coil is rusted and brittleYesterday had the same story from a tech but Fidelity refused to allow him to do more than fill it with FreonBig joke!!!! The tech actually told me that this happens all the time with them until they wear the policy holder down to put in a new unit at their own expenseSo I pay $per year for bandaidsCVS could sell me a lot for that
The story unfortunately gets worseWe are in Arizona with temperatures of at the momentA tech arrived two days after the first call with a foot ladder to fix a unit on the second floor roof (feet) - how many times have you been here? This was Thursday before the long weekend and we were told a tech would come on TuesdayMy tenants are a couple in the 80s and the lady was just released from hospital and is completely non ambulatory so moving her to a hotel was not an optioncalls over the weekend to Fidelity only to be told that I was welcome to call my own provider and have a new unit installed but they refused to tell me how much they would reimburseI bought several portable units and made the condo somewhat comfortable and on Tuesday the call comes in that they will have to postpone to the following MondayAfter much haggling and fighting on the phone I managed to have them send somebody on Thursday, this being the guy who told me the unit was not repairable (and I believe him after seeing it myself) but as instructed by Fidelity he filled it with FreonNeedless to say I called them today to cancel my policy and was not even asked whyWhen I asked if they would like to know I was told that it was not necessary
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE save your money and don't give it to these crooks
I am now in the process of replacing the unit at a cost of $- ironically the same I have spent on premiums to these criminals over the years
We made a compliant initially on July 7th with fidelity that our AC unit is not blowing cold airUnfortunately it has been a long ordeal to get this fixedSo I would like to make a complaint about this, therefore it does not repeat againAnd moreover, I would like to be reimbursed for the expense I had due to the incompetency of the workers they sendBelow is the explanation 1st visit : Technician inspected and stated the problem is due to not having enough FreonAfter his visit within hours cold air stopped coming2nd visit: Same technician stating it is not the Freon but there is a leak on the pipe due to a holeSuspecting someone drilled into the wallWe explained we moved into the house in 2016, didn’t have any work done in that areaCalled fidelity requested a change of technician, questioning the competency of the technician 3rd visit: new technician comes in stating the problem is the leak from the holeRequesting wall to be torn down, to make sure there is no
I have been trying since July 2, 2017, to get an authorization number to proceed with air-conditioning repairs covered under my home warranty, with no success
This is a typical insurance company They want your money and take their time paying for anything if at all
Watch your contract closely as they use it regularly to get out of payments
Each service call will cost you $
Moved into our house in June, had a home inspection done prior to buying the house In August the AC gave out It took two months to finally get the AC replaced and that was after they challenged my home inspection and gave the contractor so much grief for not fixing the issue the way THEY thought it should be repaired
You have to call or go online to ask for service It can take them up to two days to even contact a contractor and probably another two days to get service
My well pump quit and so I called a contractor myself and he was able to come out the next morning and replaced the pump Fidelity would not pay for the service or the new pump even though it was covered just because I didn't contact them first
This company is a money grabbing sham I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!!
I want to start by saying that *** from the *** office has tried to help meThe authorization department for Fidelity, however, has treated me with disrespect every time I have contacted themI have tried to explain my situation every time I have called and every time I am told the same thing- that my ac is missing a drier filter and they have denied my claim- twiceThe original ac company that was sent out was not very experienced- they opened my ac unit and fixed a capacitor but didn’t tell me there wasn’t a filter drierIt broke within hours and when they returned, they said there was no filter drier and fidelity denied it so nothing was fixedI didn’t even know what a filter drier was- so I started doing researchI called several certified technicians and researched information online- all of which was shared with Fidelity- that older units like mine did not always have them installed- and *** got them to send a new fantastic ac company outThey recommended a new

I am extremely frustrated with FidelityI had a very minor problem with my microwaveThe person sent broke off another part of the microwave, and we then had to wait for over a week for the part to come inThat entire time, no working microwave even though before that person came out it was working some of the timeHe finally came and "fixed" it but later that day the entire until shut off and no longer had any power coming to itThe claim was reopened; however, it has now been over weeks total and still no working microwaveActually, this is going on week We have called the person three times to follow up and been told the part is still not hereMeanwhile he has never reached out to us, we have always calledAnd how does he know what part to order when he never even came back out to look at the microwave!? I just want a working microwaveWhy is that so difficult? I have called fidelity times and they could not seem to care any lessThey just keep saying the same thing
Our AC does not work properly during the summerThis is the third year in a row that we have called in a work order for our AC through Fidelity Home Warranty and each year they send out the same companies and they come out, charge us a service fee, they put Freon in our system and leaveThe Freon works for about weeks and then our system is back to not workingOur AC bills are in the $600-range because of this each summerI finally contacted my attorney who wrote a letter to the home warranty company and I was given the name and number of a Christopher Wasson (vice president - in house legal counsel) I spoke to him and explained the situation and he said he would investigate and call me back same dayOf course he did notAt this point this is day/night two with no AC in Arizona summer and with a kidThis company apparently does not care about their customers
I received a phone call from his company to renew a warranty contractThe agreement was that the money would be debited from my account on the first day of the month only! This was explicitly explained and agreed-upon in a recorded phone callDate of the phone call was March at 3:PM Central daylight TimeIs soon as I hung up at the end of the conversation this company debited my account causing it to be overdrawn which occurred in overdraft fee
*** *** has a home warranty with Fidelity National Home Warranty She had several incidents with over the past year with Fidelity National Home Warranty and with getting repairs done or approved The final incident was with electrical issues with circuit breakers constantly blowing in the main fuse panel located in the attached garage and a couple faulty outlets Fidelity also did not have anyone under contract to do the work in our area of King County, so her caretakers were told to contact a local electrician to do the work and have the electrician call Fidelity National Home Warranty when they diagnosed the issues The electrician called to explain the issues with the outlets and circuit breakers were tripping At first Fidelity denied the repair to the circuit breakers After talking with several Fidelity representatives, it was determined the repairs for the circuit breaker panel work inside the garage which is considered inside the covered residence The electrician
Our dishwasher went out well our house was under home waranty with Fidelity They dispatched a repair person from Sears The repair person inspected the unit, left and charged Fidelity $A day later the unit stopped working again and we reopened the claim Fidelity sent a Sears repair technician out again who diagnosed the issue and left He gave us a bill for $and told us that we needed to handle the rest We called Fidelity and reported this and they made us wait a week before telling us they couldn't help us without sending out another repair technicianWe are extremely dissatisfied with the service we have received through Fidelity and will not be renewing our home warranty with them
I have a home warranty through Fidelity National for the house we moved in to in AprilI submitted a ticket for a broken dishwasher on 7/and was told a service professional from J** *** (who Fidelity National recommended) would be contacting meThey contacted me later that week, and came out to service the dishwasher on 7/The service professional examined the dishwasher and concluded that it needed to be replacedWe paid the service fee of $dollars, and were told that Fidelity National would be contacting us within to hoursI have called Fidelity National numerous times to see what has taken so long, and each time they have told me that J** *** (the company they chose to send out) hadn't submitted the report yetFinally, I got fed up with trying to call Fidelity National (in part because there is always a long wait time) and called *** direct, and was told that they have tried to submit the ticket to Fidelity National numerous times but have been put
On 11/1/17, I filed a claim via Fidelity Natl Home Warnty re breakdown of my refrigerator, and asked that it be considered urgentThey sent a technician from Advantage Appliance Services who appeared that day, did some screw tightening, received my $cheque (no fix achieved), called yesterday (out of the blue) wanting to come out when I was at work and won't come today, because it is a weekendMy food refrigerator is not fixed until nowObviously, company does not have any idea about the impact of a functioning refrigerator is on people's health and livesI am hoping to have all my payments to Fidelity reimbursed and cancel the contract with themCan any other reader give me further advise? With my experience with Fidelity I am beginning to think that it may not be worth paying for home warranty
I would never recommend Fidelity National Home Warranty! What absolutely terrible service! My air conditioner broke in June and it is now October and the unit still needs to be fixed My family spend many 100+ degree days this summer without air conditioning because of Fidelity's inability to move the claim forward I have waited on hold with their authorizations department for over forty minutes on two occasions before finally giving up on the call TIP: submit questions in their online form late at night - the graveyard shift employees actually respond quickly! Fidelity has sent the same company, Rose Heating and Air, out three times to take the exact same measurements and write up the same evaluation of the problem Rose Heating and Air told me that they refused to do the work, then wrote up a "proposal" that they wanted me to sign charging me $to install smoke alarms that I already have! I've been in tears on the phone with Fidelity's customer service trying to get someone to take action with Rose Heating and Air and was only told that they could transfer me to "authorizations," to wait on the line for 40+ minutes I finally got Rose Heating and Air to take off the fraudulent $charge and they are still charging me $to connect the condensate drain line to the new evaporator coil When I asked the Fidelity rep if this was a legit charge, he only responded that Fidelity didn't pay for it Really?!?
I have an active slab leak in my homeI made a home warranty claim Friday March 10th and they sent a plumber to my home on March 13thHe said he was going to let the company know what I have a slab leak and see what they would cover and go from thereThe water is leaking up through my slab into my garageI have sent several requests for folland they keep saying they are waiting on the plumber to make a determinationdays later, and I'm still sitting with a water leak in my homeI have requested to speak to management and keep getting the run around
I paid this company a lot of money for my home warranty and they did not cover a very basic microwave claimThey charged me a service fee and totally found an unreasonable excuse to not cover the claim
Denied legitimate claim
