fidelity national home warranty is a complete joke when it comes to warranty and customer service, I called with a simple request for a broken ceiling fan (which as I as told was covered ) the tech came out assured me it would be taken care of and end of problem(2) days later I get a call from fidelity stating that this was customer neglect and it was not coveredthat was very surprising to me as the ceiling fan is 15FT in the air and I could not get to it if I tried without a very tall latter and even so would be quite a taskthey required a $*** upfront fee of which I paid and said that was the service chargeso I disputed the charge with my credit card company (wells fargo) who did a complete investigation and determined it was indeed fraudnow they have suspended my coverage and could care less about what they are doing to the general public who buys there productthis warranty is a complete scam and a waste of money save yourself the trouble and use another company

In Nov *** *** was sent to fix my ice makerThey came out times between November and January and never fixed the problemWe were billed $** for this serviceWe contacted Fidelity and told them the we still had the same problemThis time they sent out *** *** insteadAnytime immediately identified the problem and fixed itI then received another $** chargeFidelity should have let me know they were going to charge me additional fees for the same work

We have had consistent awful experiences with Fidelity National Home WarrantyFirst, we had a plumbing issue, we had no water in the house and Fidelity couldn't find a plumberSeriously?? We had to call places and finally found a company who could send the plumber quicklyWell, Fidelity paid 35% less than the lowest quote we received, so we had to pay the balance out of pocketContractors consistency said that they don't want to deal with the companyFiled a ticket about a garage door opener and they never scheduled serviceOur A/C croaked over the weekend, had to stay on hold for minutes before speaking with someone and they wouldn't escalate the issueI'm sitting here with my family in over degrees water, no A/C and they wouldn't even give me the option to handle it with my own contractorYou buy insurance for peace of mind but this is actually very stressfulI got FNHW without doing my research - if you have an option stay away from this scam and get yourse

Had a Toilet Issue, assumed it was covered according to my policy, and decided to call a tech after my consumer level attempts to remedy the issue failedTech spent no more than minutes to try and use their equipment better than my consumer tools and gave up and diagnosed it as an issue that ISN'T COVEREDNo more than minutes on the call and I am out my service fee and still have the issueThis is even though after he told me he wouldn't collect I was still chargedNone of this mattered to Customer serviceTHE CUSTOMER DOESN'T MATTER

Bought a built home on 3/that was pretty much vacant for a few yearsHad the inspection 2/26/in the spring when we had a few hot day turned on the A/C and it was just blowing cold ambient air and not coolingPer their contract #Covered systems and appliances must be in good, safe working order at the start of contract coverageUnknown pre-existing conditions will be covered if, at the time coverage began, the defect or malfunction would not have been known to the buyer, seller, agent, or home inspector by a visual inspection and by operating the system or applianceA visual inspection of the covered item verifies that it appears structurally intact and without damage or missing parts that would indicate inoperabilityOperating the covered item is defined as turning the item on and off to ensure that it is operationalWhile turned on, the item operates without causing damage, irregular sounds, smoke or other aboutcomes#FNHW will repair or replace covered systems and appliances which mechanically malfunction due to insufficient maintenance, rust, corrosion or sediment, unless otherwise noted in this contractTheir testing shows that it's out of freonThey declined the claim stating pre-existing condition Granted the inspection states visually in good working order but unable to test function due to weather (it was and thermostat doesn't go below 55) They somewhat acknowledge that they didn't know how one would go about to operate it in that whether but nevertheless the claim will be denied because it wasn't doneHow are they still in business??

Well pump went out for houseCovered by Home Warranty charged service couldn't find a contractor to work on itFidelity issued out of pocket reimburement paperwork no where on the paperwork says must be licensed conctractorContractor came out to repair well gave proper invoiceDays later fidelty request must be licensed for reimbursement Now the whole reason for the warranty is goneservice charge for something they wont reimburse left with bills now

Be prepared to wait on hold 45min-1hr everytime you have an issue They have a pretty horrible technique as well were they play one song on loop the whole time to try and get you to just hang up They have some pretty bad service reps too, 3rd time my AC has gone out now

Purchased home warranty refused to cover a failed year old water (industry stated useful life of residential water heaters are 10-years) based on the observation from their designated plumber that a leaking roof vent penetration seal caused external corrosion due to race water contactThe corrosion rate of wrought steel in continuous contact with water is mils per year defining years to fail the outlet nippleThey had no rebuttal for the failure mode last gif other than “the plumber says so”This is a blatant case of deliberate breach of contract putting the burden of proof in me, using the blessing of ignorance as defense

I purchased Fidelity Home Warranty insurance for a rental home I purchased in September Prior to purchasing the property, I had it inspected by both a contractor as well as paid for a home inspector to inspect the propertyBoth tested the water pressure and stated it was normalIn late November, the tenant informed me that there was a large leak in the kitchen faucet and also some smaller intermittent leaks elsewhere in the homeThe leak in the kitchen faucet was so bad they told me they needed to shut off the water to the homeI called Fidelity Home Warranty to place a claim and they sent out *** *** said the water pressure was too high (I have received varying reports from to from Fidelity)Fidelity said they would replace the "faulty water pressure regulator" but would not repair anything else because it was "secondary damage" due to the high water pressureI immediately contacted the home inspector who stated that he didn't think it was even possible beca

This company fails to explain its pre-existing conditions in its own contract, but then uses it as a way to deny claims, and still charges the client the service feeI spent minutes on the phone with them and spoke to different departmentsNo one could or was willing to help meI paid $for a home warranty that I can not use and a $service fee for a service that did not occur

Our AC is not working and we filed a request on 6/19/According to their process we had to pay $** for a troubleshooting and to make repairs after thatEven evaluation is not completed let alone repairsNo one has even showed up or bothered to look into this issueI have called fidelity times, each time it takes more then hours to get a customer representativeEvery time they say its up for dispatch which I know already and say they have put it up for other companies to grab but the company never changesFidelity allocated a company named *** *** * *** *** ***Technically they are suppose to call in two business days to schedule an appointmentThis company when called always goes to voicemail with two different messagesOne asks to leave a voicemail, other asks to email and leave a voicemailLeft voicemails more then times, emailed them as wellNo responseAccording to Fidelity customer service they wont pay if I choose my own companyHeat goi

I have been waiting since May to hear a reply back from Fidelty National Home WarrantyThey expect me to pay for services that were never rendered in my homeThe technician showed up to my home when I was at work and now I have to pending chargesI left two voicemails because I haven't been able to get through to speak to a representative and I have yet to hear a response backMeanwhile this delay has effected my creditI would not recommend this company

I got a home warranty from FNHW when I purchased my home at the beginning of JulyShortly after moving in, around mid-July, I reported a problem with my appliance which is covered under warrantyFNHW has still not made the repair after over monthsEven if FNHW does make the repair it will not be in any way timelyBeing without the appliance has been a significant problem in the householdMost people would find it hard to last more than a week without a dishwasher and would just end up paying out of pocket for a new oneI can imagine that FNHW makes a bigger profit when it makes their customer wait for the repair so long that the customer ends up replacing the appliance and FNHW therefore doesn't have to do any repairI would like a refund so I can get the repair or replacement done right away

I requested roofing services on 1/due to signs of water leaks on my second floor bedroomAppointment was set to 2/by FNHWMultiple rain storms occurred in the weeks leading to 1/when I again requested roofing services, noting a sense of urgency due to expanding water damage that now includes the first floor bathroomDespite the graveness of my situation, appointment was again set to 2/8, not negotiable1/early morning powerful rain storm went thru my area, water was visibly running down the walls, from the second floor bedroom to the first floor bathroomI called a local roofer to investigate and found the top covering of the chimney has been ripped off, leaving a completely open channel for the rains to come into the houseLocal roofer made the necessary repairs to cover the chimneyI wrote to FNHW about this incident and never got a responseI'm seeking compensation from FNHW to cover the local roofer service call and expected cost for fixing the water damageI bel

I wanted to share with you the very poor service that I have received from a company that promotes itself as: At Fidelity National Home Warranty, we are committed to providing
Home Protection … Service … and Value to each and every customer!
This company is nothing else that another advertising that wanted to “still your money” by doing fake promising and off course never do what they say!
Since we bought our home in Aug 2014, we have been paying this company to provide the “potential required maintenance” for a years all houseWe have tried to use it a few times with the following results:
Our sink garbage disposal “*** ***” brand failed, we asked for service and repair, the “service” cost was $75, we payed, they came and installed another cheap brand, but since it worked, we said okOur AC unit stops working suddenly last summer at pm, we called fidelity, and they said they can’t sent anybody until days, I explained, that I can’t have my family sleeping at 100F, and they said, “call directly an AC service company and we’ll pay you back up to $since that is what our vendor will charge us, but the company needs to be certified and you need to send the bill”, we called a certified company, they fixed the problem that night, and they charged $We send all the documentation and after a month and several calls, we received a check for $“because they have to charge their service $75”
The water in the spa was not warming up at the time of starting the heaterWe called fidelity, payed the $and wait for days, finaly the vendor contacted me, came, and said, this is a valve that is plugged, the warranty doesn’t cover it… I’ll fix it for $270…so at the end we payed $to replace the valveCalled fidelity, and they said, “our vendor reported and electrical failure”The upper spring in our heavy duty garage door failed, leaving our car trap inside, we called for service and repair, payed the $75, and used *** for days, until they finally sent somebody to repair the doorThat “expert” installed a generic springThe door opened, and we said, ok we are happy, and we renew the service with them for another yearThe garage door has have a few isolated weird events, like falling suddenly, but since it worked just fine after the events, we just ignored themOn April 5th, in my way to work the door again fall and this time it hit my car enough to broken and completely junk out the rear hatch spoiler, with the 3rd stop light and the water system to clean the rear windowThe car repair was $I called fidelity and payed the $75, the same day, for a revision and repair of the door… and waited days to be contacted by their ”vendor”, no call was received, called again… “we’ll check and come back to you” … wait another days, no call back form fidelity, no call from the vendor, called again asked what happen, and request not only the cancellation of the service, but the return of my money and the cancellation of the policy: answer “Yes”I called an independent vendor to review my door, and he told me “this door is a heavy duty door and those springs are light springs”…that explains why my door was failing from time to time!
After these discovery, called fidelity again to ask what happed with the cancellation of the policy (requested weeks ago), and they said that there is nothing in the system, that there will be an administrative charge of $and that they can’t cancel it until the end of May, so they will only return June-July moneyAs a result of my frustration, I decide to share my experience to warn you, just in case you expect to obtain any service from this “Home Warranty” company

Fidelity Home Warranty is a jokeI bought a house and weeks later the air goes out, Fidelity denies the claimFidelity says the problem was pre existingThe house was built in of course it is preexisting!! Why even sell a home warranty to people with older homes!! What a rip off!! This is not my first house or warranty experienceThis has to be the worst home warranty company I ever dealt with!!! buyer beware!!!!

After a month of discussion of a reasonable settlement of payment I received a call from the manager of customer relations on 9/and he agreed to reimburse me *** and the check would be cut and mailed on 9/On 9/I called and left a message requesting an update with no responseOn 10/II called again and I received a call back left on my voice mail that the manager of customer relations would check into the problem and get back to meWith no response I called again today, 10/and advised that I did not want to but would reach out to his superiorsI was blocked from reaching anyone, names requested not providedHopefully the Revdex.com can go through another avenue in communicating with this companyThank you, *** ***

Extremely slow response times and near non-existent communications in response to open claimsRecently lost my water heater (fully covered under terms of agreement); however 5+ days later I’m still waiting for them to determine what they are going to do about it and contact me so the item can be repaired/replacedA week without hot water for showers, laundry, dishes, etcfor a working family is just not practicalThey certainly weren’t this slow taking my money *** *** *** *** ** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** * *** *** ** *** ** *** *** ***

I have a contract with this businessI have submitted a request for service on 8/(we do not have hot water)They send a plumber out on 9/who was unable to fix the water heaterWe report back that the service was not completed and the service representative was actually very rudeThey send another representative out about a week laterThat plumber was unable to fix the water heaterA part was neededWe were told that the parts would be ordered and that they would come back outWe have been in contact with Fidelity for weeksStill no hot waterAnd now they have suspended my contract because they said that I have failed to pay the service feeThe service fee is meant to be paid when the service has been provided and completedThey have failed to resolve my service requestThe customer service has been rude and unhelpfulAnd now they hold me responsible for payment without fulfilling the terms of the contractThis job should now be completed at no cost to me

I have been without heat from my heat pump for over one month and the company dispatched for this repair doesn't return my calls promptly and when they do they complain the Fidelity is slow to reply to requests This is terrible service all around and I will never recommend this company for warranty service to anyone
