This company will try to weasel out of paying anything! Our air conditioning unit went out going over a week agoAll it was, was a simple fan fix the Fidelity sent out a tech(with VERY poor reviews) and he fixed itWithin a few hours it went out againSo we call fidelity back and they send the same guy out and he said now theres a leak in the condenserFidelity then tells us our claim is denied because of a missing partThey said the tech marked down that the part called a filter drier is missing and that we must of taken it outOf couse that is not the case! We did some reserch of our own and our very old Runit did not only require a filter drier but they werent even a thing back thenSo to verify this info we called our own a licenced tech to come out and look at itOf couse he verifies that our unit did not need nor ever have this partWe called fidelity immediately and tell them we we had a licenced tech come out and look at it to verify about that part and they may con
We got a year fidelity home warranty as part of the home purchase and a few days after moving in the fridge started leakingFidelity refuses to pay for the repair
Have had home warranty for years--for minor issues they respond relatively quick--this issue involves an air conditioner--during the recent heat wave 6/20-6/the a/c was not working called fidelity but they had no contractors available we were told to find one and they would send a reimbursement form--got the form made a appointment for 6/tech shows up gives me a quote for repairs but I have to call authorization number--after being on hold for minutes the tech had to leave---still on hold I called customer service from another phone and was told they could not help--at hours on hold I called a sales number that answered right away and wanted to be connected to a supervisor then got voice mail
My heater went out over three weeks agoI contacted my home warranty company, Fidelity, and they sent out a technician the next dayThe technician reported several problems but said he could fix this issue as soon as possible, due to no heat during the coldest months of the yearI was thrilled and said I could survive without heat for two days or so while he got everything in orderNow, here we are, three weeks later and I still do not have heatI'm being told by fidelity employees it is a parts issueThe problem is, my mother resides with me and is home full timeShe sufferes from COPD and breathing issues and has a difficult time breathing in the coldIt is unsafe for her to remain home without heat for this long and the longer it takes the more it negatively affects her healthWhen I spoke about this with a customer service representative Today, February 28th, I was told they can not rush parts and the health of my mother was not their concernI am beyond livid at the unprofessionalism and lack of concern for my mother and my homeThey reported today I may have my heater fixed on the 5th of MarchIt is incomprehensible to go yet another week without heat and have my mother's suffering prolongedToday I requested my claim be escalated and I speak to a managerI was told I would be connected to "***" and subsequently was hung up onI called back immediately to be told there was no manager available to take my callI am beyond disgusted with Fidelity Home Warranty and feel they are taking money from insured individuals and then hiring the lowest bidding contractor to carry out the work without regard to the quality or prompt solution to issuesThey feel their bottom dollar is more important than the homes and families that reside in them
Our oven continues to go outFor the past two years, a year each with two companies, we have had issues with the home owners insuranceThe previous home owners insurance co was here three times with the current home owners here twiceEach time, we're told the same thing: We'll find the part and replace itOur logic tells us if we pay $** each visit to call them to fix it, it should be fixedYet somehow we continue paying $** for each visit to fix something should have technically been "fixed." This brings us to a week before Christmas in We have four children, guests coming and a ham plus turkey to cook without a stove and the best our home owners insurance can do is to "investigate" the part even AFTER being told by the last mechanic that came less than a week ago that the part was no longer available and we should get a new ovenThis is from the mechanic the home owners ins sentNot our own mechanic(We don't even have our own mechanic.) Purchased coop/condo in *** *** *** in July and purchased home warranty from Fidelity as component of the saleAir Conditioning is failing and blowing condensation out of the bathroom ventPaid Fidelity the $service fee and their AC contractor stated that the AC was improperly installed and requires an additional return air ventThe contract clearly states failure due to improper installation is covered yet Fidelity is refusing to cover it*** with Fidelity on June 14th talked to her supervisor and they agreed this was a covered issue and approved itSince then apparently someone else within the company reviewed and reversed that decisionThey went as far as having their contractor document that it was improper design instead of improper installation even though he stood in my living room and stated it was improper installation
On 8-5-we placed a service call because our pool motor stopped workingThe technician came out on 8-5, spent less than minutes looking at the motor and declared it shorted out and needed to be replacedHe didn't show anything to me, or tell me anything unless I asked specific questionsIt really felt like he just wanted to leave and be doneIt took him days to submit his report to the warranty companyI called on 8-because we hadn't heard back from anyone and the pool was getting green by then and I didn't want to get fined for a green pool or wait through the weekend for a repairAfter an hour and a half on hold I finally spoke to someone who said the claim was denied because the motor was missing a part where the wires go into the motor, and so they won't cover itI called back several other times since then to discuss the issue and pointed out that we have comprehensive coverage which is supposed to cover improper installations, repairs and modifications as wellT

I had a lapse in making an annual payment for home warranty in AugustA Fidelity National representative, called me late on December 4th, and asked if I wanted to renew the policy as of the following dayShe said I would receive exactly the same contract as beforeShe emailed me a contract I should receive in mail in the following week or soIt stated $** of service feeI received the paper contract in a week or soI only checked the number of pages, because it was a concernI had a leak in the bathroom, so I called the FidelityI was charged $**I looked at the paper contract, it says $**I emailed and called the same renewal agent, who told me that she had told me that the "coverage would be the same, and your service charge is $**." I realized my air conditioning was leaking on July 9, and immediately filed a service request onlineToday is July 22, and my air conditioner is still not workingIn the past week, I have called the company times--once to see if my claim had been reviewed (it had not), and three times to see if they had ordered the part that they did finally approveThe first time I was told the part had not yet arrived; the second time--July 21--I was told the part had not yet been ordered; the third time, I was told the part had actually arrived and was ready for the service provider to pick upWhen I called the service provider, they could see no record of the part being available for pick-upI have had representatives of this company behave as though my questions were the greatest inconvenience to them, and I actually had one scold me for calling about my air conditioning when other parts of the country were even hotterI LIVE IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIARude, unprofessional, and unresponsiveAbsolutely abysmal experienceI wish there were a rating lower than star
Last June tenants in our property informed us that the power was randomly going off in most areas of the house We contacted Fidelity Home Warranty but the company they sent said it was a system overload and it would not be covered It did not sound right that an overload would suddenly happen in a year old house, without any substantial change We requested immediately a second opinion and e-mailed the disagreeing findings to Fidelity Home Warranty Nobody contacted us, and every time you call them you have at least a minute wait on hold (sometime well over hour !) Early August I sent another e-mail checking on the status of our claim No response
Now, I finally decided to make the repair and will need to seek reimbursement from Fidelity Home Warranty
I can not emphasize strongly enough how mismanaged my warranty claim was - and currently still - isMy tragic tale all started on Thursday, December 27th of I was in my garage when suddenly what started as a steady dripping (turning eventually into a stream) of water started pouring through the drywall of my ceilingI quickly rushed to shut water off to the house, but that did nothing to affect the leakAs far as I was able to deduce, the upstairs tub/shower (which sits directly above where the leak happened) is the culpritI quickly informed my family member who was using the tub/shower to avoid using it until we could have someone come out and fix the leaking/burst pipe causing the issueI called fidelity that night and they said they were expediting my claimThis is where things slowly spiral even more downwardHad I been allowed to simply contact a local plumber, they would’ve been there the very next morning to fix my issueI know this because my first instinct was to call local and they said they’d be there the next day However, fidelity makes you go through one of their contacted plumbers, so a call back to my local guy to cancel it wasIt wasn’t until the next afternoon that I even received the plumbers Information from fidelity, and even then when I went to schedule with their plumber that they’d wouldn’t be over until the following day (Saturday, two days after the leak was detected)I book the appointment and the plumber no calls- no shows on meI check the plumbers reviews and they have consistently bad reviews of no cashowing and doing shoddy work, with many of the reviews were from people forced to work with them through fidelity claimsI then call fidelity back to get a new plumberAnother day goes by before I get their information, and then two days later is their soonest availability (Thursday the 3rd, a full week after the leak occurred)Once again, the plumber is a no cashow and their reviews were even worse than the previous plumber, also once again mostly from people forced to work with them through fidelityWe called fidelity back that same day demanding a manager and we’re promised a call within the hour along with a new plumberThe next day (over hours after they were supposed to have had a manager call us back) I call againAgain I demand a manager, only to be put back on hold for another ten minutesOnce someone picked back up, they weren’t even a manager, but a standard call center repI demand a manager again, but this rep now says that I can only be put on a list to have a manager call me within 24-hoursneedless to say we are not happyAs things now stand, we are on day with an active leak, have called fidelity over times trying to get a plumber out here, and are STILL waiting for dispatch to give us someone who will (hopefully) show up to an appointment — that’s all dependent on if fidelity has any plumbers contracted with them that can even understand what it takes to get a two star review on ***
I called FNHW to request the status of an approval on a work order that has been over a month in waitingAfter the original agent had no update, I asked to speak to a managerI was transferred to ***She informed me that a portion of the repairs would be coveredThe tone which she used was immediately confrontational and diminutiveWhile I tried to understand the particulars of the contract which excluded certain repairs I was repeatedly harassed for not listening and not understandingWhen I asked for a the approval to be sent to me I was told that this was not their protocolAfter being promised calls back from FNHW multiple times, I was a bit LearyI stated openly and honestly that I was having problems trusting thisShe replied that she was sorry I had trust issuesThis, along with her correcting me for calling her ma'am (while she was calling me sir), added up to a truly dehumanizing experience

After my AC was blowing out hot air, I contacted FNHW and they sent out a technician from a local company here in Bakersfield, CAUpon arrival, the technician was unprofessional! When he saw the AC unit out back he immediately asked when it was serviced last because if it had not been serviced, his report could ultimately have the claim deniedHe proceeded to wash down the unit (there was visible oil on the concrete slab the unit was on, which was a sign the compressor was out!) and say the ring was due to the waterHe changed out the motor to the fan, which he stated had not been diagnosed as the issue, and continued to switch out the capacitor and add sealant and coolantThe air was blowing cool once again and ended up going out a day laterHe was called back out and the 2nd visit was worst than the first! He was late and ultimately admitted to the burned out compressorAfter he left I called FNHW and advised them of his diagnosis and requested they expedite the repairs, as it has been plus and this was going on a week with no ACThey indicated (authorization) that the claim was denied because the technician said it was the condenser coils being wet by the sprinklerMind you, this is after an hour wait holding for them to answer at FNHWAfter an hour explaining the situation and how the tech had lied in his report, I was told I could seek out another technician for a 2nd opinionI opted to find one and his report confirmed that the compressor was burned out and the negligence from the first technician led to my circuit board burning out in my furnace due to failure to shut the breaker offI was told that they would file my complaint against the technician for his unprofessional demeanor, as well as listed several options to proceed with the new techLong story short, they tried to send out another tech for a 3rd opinion and avoided sticking to their original offerI have never been strung along when specifics of a contract show that they were in the wrong*** *** ** *** *** *** *** * *** *** *** *** *** *** ** ** *** *** *** *** *** *** Unbelievable! I reached out to this abhorrent company to fix a broken refrigerator in my new homeAfter the serviceman came and replaced the internal computer in the unit, I thanked him and he promptly left ($charge)The next day I realized the water/ice dispenser was no longer working so I called again to have him return and fix the issueThree days later the same serviceman arrived but that morning the water had mysteriously begun to flow againWhen asked if he could check the unit anyway in case it was an intermittent issue, he explained that the water flow issue was to be expected following the previous repair (even though he never warned me to expect it) and that the pipes had just likely frozen and needed a day or two to thawTo be clear, on the second visit he *never* touched the unit and admitted the water issue was related to his previous repairUpon leaving, he said he wouldn't charge me and that he was sorry for the confusion
Then I got a bill for another $a week laterCustomer service refused to waive the charge and were extremely rude on the phoneThey claimed the second visit was unrelated to the first

Don't use this company! I purchased the extra well and septic coverage and had to file claims for bothThey found every possible excuse to deny both claimsMy most recent claim had to do with a septic tank issue that the company told me they only covered if it was due to wear and tear which it was according to the company that came out to repair the problemFidelity national still refused to accept my claimIf you enjoy jumping through hoop after hoop and throwing away money use this company if not find a better company
