Called them in to diagnose a problem with my garage door which stopped working after I moved into the houseThey are denying claim on the basis that the door was not in good working condition prior to the time the policy was boughtWell the door was working just fine, until it brokeWhich was after we purchased the insuranceIt is a year old door, so there is regular wear and tear and there can be no telling when anything mechanical or electrical might snapThey charge $to come out and diagnose, I haven't received any quote from the technician for the cost of fixes, and how am I to tell what will break when at the time of the policy purchase??

As part of my purchase of my home (3/31/escrow closed) a Fidelity Home Warranty was included in the purchase priceI was happy to have the home warranty as it gave me peace of mind about my home purchase - that things would be fixed if they didn't workIn June of 2016, after having used my oven once, a flashing "door locked" warning appeared on the control panel and the oven would not work -- i.e., to turn the oven on, you use the control panelSince the control panel was not functioning, the oven would not turn onI contacted Fidelity Home Warranty (FHW) and set up an appointment with a repair technicianAs of today's date, the oven is still not working - I have been w/o an oven for four (4) months nowI have been diligent in contacting FHW to follow up on the statusThe last time I heard from FHW on Oct17, I was told that the oven was deemed to non-repairable and would be replacedI was further told that the claim was with the purchasing deptand I would hear in 2-bus
In May of this year we contacted Fidelity Home Warranty as we have coverage with them they dispatched *** *** out to our residents because our Ac was blowing warm airThey concluded we had to replace the AC unit, fidelity said they will cover the unit but not anything else*** *** stated since its an older unit and used old refrigerant they had to replace the coil and furnace a total of $*** out of pocketAfter approximately a week and a half after install we had the same issue warm air again we called Fidelity and they said they would dispatch again > *** *** came out again and states it was a part in the ac unit they had to order it would take another weekweeks have passed no ac after we paid $*** the part came they installed it and again after about a week we got warm air again today 7/27/they came out again after I called Sunday this time *** *** stated there is a leak in the hose inside the wall and that that's pro
Our upstairs A/C stopped working in March 2017, we immediately called Fidelity to make a claim to get someone out to fix itAfter call after call and wait after wait they finally send *** *** * *** out*** diagnosed the problem as being the coil and recommended replacing itIt took an additional months for them to come do the work, in which I had to call them to find out what was going on and they proceeded to ask me for the serial numbers to order an air handler (this is the first I had heard of an air handler, they did not even know what model unit I had, when they had already been here and diagnosed the issue, which then was supposedly the coil)They finally came to fix the A/C, which was May 24th While they were here they told us that the previous people that had the house wired it wrong and they needed to re-wire itTo put things in perspective, our furnace runs on GasThey and Fidelity took it upon themselves to convert our furnace from gas to electric withou
We were thrilled when we received the Home Warranty policy as a gift from our RealtorWe didn't have many problems that first yearThe website kept locking me out of my account, and they kept telling me it was my errorThen, we got the renewal notice and it was $more than the Realtor had paid for it originallyWe figured that the Realtor had gotten a deal on it or something and paid it in installmentsLess than a week later, our water heater sprung a leak and was spewing water all over our garageI called FNHW and they said they couldn't give me a time frame, but that they would call me to let me knowminutes went by, minutes went by, and my Dad finally stepped in and called Rotor Rooter who was here within minutesWe ended up having to pay the $service fee anywayNo one ever calledI had to cancel it over the internetThen our microwave broke and we called back to see if they would transfer that $to the new service order because they didn't make good on that original callThey didI talked to the representative, telling her that my account said that I owed $75, but she said to ignore it and it was saying that the service fee was $(which is what it originally was anyway)I just received a 'Fee Past Due' bill of $and they REFUSE to credit that to my accountIf I want to cancel the policy they are going to take a $cancellation fee, plus any money THEY have had to pay out on our behalfSo, now I can't even get my money back and find a different Home Warranty provider until next yearYou better believe we are going to pay the darn $and next year (right away) find a different companyI am so disappointed with them
We've been trying to get our refrigerator repaired since July of It is now January 11, and still nothing has been fixed Unfortunately, *** is the only one who services Whirlpool appliances in my area and they are the worst They have come out to our house times without any success They last time was in December and he just wiggled the hoses and said it was fixed....are you kidding me Now, Fidelity is telling us that their hands are tied and that we need to find a licensed contractor on our own Are your serious??? What do we pay you for This is so ridiculous!!! Nobody should have to wait this long to have an appliance repaired Extremely disappointed customer of years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*** *** *** *** * *** *** *** *** *** ** *** *** ** ** *** *** ** ** *** Fidelity National Home Warranty is a huge scamI seriously question their business practicesI had to pay $for some repair guy to come out, look at the problem and walk away without doing anything or talking to meI paid the full premium for one yearThat should be it, just like insuranceWhy am I paying an additional $every time someone comes out, whether they do anything or not? Realtors, do not recommend this scam to your home buyers if you value relationships and repeat business
I have a home warranty contract with Fidelity Home warranty, Contract number ***The contract ran from 04/16/to 10/12/On June I called in a service call for my dishwasherI paid a $service callA company came out that dayA second company came out after that at least three timesA new pump was installed but did not fix the original problemThe company came out again, and againUnfortunately, after numerous attempts at repairing the dishwasher it still has the same issue, the intake valveI have been told by a Fidelity Home Warranty representative they “don’t care”I just want my dishwasher repaired which was under contract and I paid the service fee for
I have a home warranty insurance policy with this company, and I filed a claim with the company in late July, with the company because the dishwasher in my house did not workThe company sent someone to my house on August 1, to look at the dishwasher, and they diagnosed the problem as being a bad pump and a bad motor in the dishwasherThey did not have the part with them, so they returned a day or tow later and fixed the dishwasherTo repair the dishwasher they had to remove the dishwasher from underneath the kitchen counter and then re-install the dishwasher underneath the kitchen counterAfter they did that, I noticed that the dishwasher had not been re-installed properly: the dishwasher had not been re-installed square with the kitchen counter and the dishwasher door did not open and close properlySo I called Fidelity back and told them that the repairman needed to come back out and re-install the dishwasher properlyThe repairman came out a few days later and
I have made requests for service dispatch from this companyThe first was over a month ago for a dishwasher that had stopped workingFidelity said they would have a repair person contact us which never happenedWe finally had to contact the appliance person Fidelity referred us to who gave us a mid-day window of service (hours in mid-afternoon) which we could not make because of workAfter much back and forth, Fidelity had us contact *** who also did not give us a choice of service dates and times*** call center said we had to accept what was offered or the order would be cancelledWhat they offered was a 4-hour window next day which we couldn't do because of workNeedless to say our dishwasher is still brokenYesterday our water heater went out and I called the emergency number to obtain serviceI was told someone would be contacting me which they never didI called this morning and spoke to *** who told me a dispatch had been sent and service would arrive betwee
I received a bill for 75$, when I contacted Fidelity I spoke with ***She stated at first the bill was for repairs done on October 2ndI immediately said that nobody came to my house that dayThen she changed it and said it was for repairs that were completed on 8/21/I advised her that nothing was completed on that day, that all they did was recommend that the coil be cleanedShe put me on hold to contact the company who stated that they changed the circuit panel on 8/21/When she came back on the line I told her that the panel was changed on 8/9/prior to the compressor being replacedThat was how they found out the compressor needed to be repairedShe told me "the technician has no reason to lie" implying that I am the one lying to herI told her I have the receipts as to what happened that day, she immediately corrected me and said I have recommendations NOT RECEIPTSIn all actuality I have the invoices with the work that was done each dayOn 8/21/t
I had service requests for a pest control service and an electrician service with FidelityFor the pest control service request, I've talked to a representative on the phone described my problem, and she dispatched a contractor to my house and told me they DO NOT provide that serviceBut Fidelity insisted on charging me the service fee because they did sent out people on siteFor the electrician service, I requested service on light fixture without knowing the item is not covered(not able to access my contract on line), Fidelity send in electricians who refuse to serviceThese incidents cost me time and money, and can be easily prevented by FidelityI do not think this company deserve to be listed under Revdex.com
Disaster I have been a customer for over years, I have paid yearly fees and I have, and now that my heating furnace needs to be changed they will not pay for the full cost, I will need to pay for over $to get it replaced, (fidelity is only paying $1200-$1300)I tried negotiating and reasoning and they are not helpingThis besides for the fact that it took over a week and half to come to a conclusionTotally unacceptable
If I was able to I would not even leave one star
Wait times are horrible !!! You will wait for hours to get throughThen, the people they send out are incompetent so you have to call 3-times and wait until something gets done!
Filed a service request a week ago and paid the $** feeThe company *** *** *** was dispatched and an appointment was madeCompany never showed up and did not return to the numerous phone messages leftFidelity warranty has yet to dispatch another company even after my attempts to do soMy warranty expires in a month and at this rate they will not be at my house in time to fix the issue they are responsible for and continue to give me the run around by saying someone will call someone will callThis is a terrible business practice to take money from someone then not deliver when it comes time to provide service
In May I filed a claim & Fidelity sent someone to fix my garage door opener on my newly purchased homeWithin an HOUR the garage door opener was again not workingA part that the contractor had screwed in had fallen offSo I called & explained what happened, that was obviously the contractor's faultThey sent him back out and we paid for a part, tat I don't believe we should have had to pay for, and now they are also trying to bill me for the additional service call deductibleI have emailed the company FOUR times stating that this service call was because of their contractor's error & that I'm being wrongfully chargedOver the last months, and emails I have NEVER gotten a responseThe rep on the phone told me someone would get back to meI always get the immediate email confirmation stating that someone will get back to me within hours & NO ONE EVER RESPONDSI now need another service call & it says my account is suspendedThis company is a jo
I filed a claim with Fidelity at the end of September for my Water HeaterI just bought a brand new home, and my water heater stopped working and starting leakingFidelity did great at getting someone out to inspect the water heater, and after that things went down hillThey called me back about days after the inspection happened and advised they would be covering the water heater cost, except for the permit fee, the code upgrade, and the debris removal which totaled about *** I told Fidelity I would have to call them back and needed them to send me a copy of my contract that I never received from them in the first placeI decided later that day it was imperative to have hot water as soon as possible, and called them back to consent to the out of pocket costsWhen I gave my consent I requested to see a copy of the permit, the code upgrade, and the debris costs due to the high out pocket expenseIt has been over weeks since I gave my consent to the out of pocket costI still have no hot water, and when Fidelity called me to discuss after I filed a status update on their website, they told me the person I gave my consent to did not log it and did not schedule the serviceBottom line is I have gone over weeks with no hot water in my homeI attempted to reach the contractor they sent out many times, with no return phone call as wellI am very unhappy with the service that this warranty providedAt ***out of pocket and a month with no hot water because someone did not schedule the service is a beyond absurd to meI probably would of been better of buying my own water heater and putting it inThey didn't cover anythingI feel that by asking them to see proof of the ridiculous cost they were asking for the lady did not file my service callUNPROFESSIONALI could of got a hot water heater for ***and paid someone to install it for *** This warranty is crap
