We have had service with FNHW since we bought our home nearly years agoWe have had our AC unit go out times in last yearsThe last time a couple of months ago the company sent out determined it was patched many times but an old unit at the end of its lifespanWe sat with them for hours while they filled out necessary reports to get authorization for a new unitWhen we did not hear back and called FNHW stated they were waiting for them to fill out report (This had been done in our presence)Finally after going back and forth FNHW elected not to use them but sent another company (probably so not to get a new unit)The new company stated we did not need a new AC it was just a leak and they got authorization right then and there and fixed itTen days later it went out AGAINWe contacted FNHW and they told us just to call that companyBetween the company and FNHW telling us that we had to call the other for over a week we finally got them back outThey found another leak
We have had a series of really bad experiences with this company They routinely hire low cost, second-rate service personnel that struggle fixing anything We have tried three times to get things fixed through the warranty and they were all a disaster Most recently, a hot water heater went out this summer and they used a local company/plumber to replace it Subsequently (about a month later), we started getting a terrible rotten egg odor in our hot water so we called them and they sent out their plumber The first one said he was in over his head and couldn't fix it and they would sent out someone else Over two weeks passed and the next one told us our new water heater had a bacteria (logically caused by the installation since it happened right after the installation) Instead of standing behind their installers and fixing the problem, we were told bad odors were not covered by the warranty so we would be responsible getting it fixed or replaced It will be over $1,for us to fix it

I received a bill for 75$, when I contacted Fidelity I spoke with ***She stated at first the bill was for repairs done on October 2ndI immediately said that nobody came to my house that dayThen she changed it and said it was for repairs that were completed on 8/21/I advised her that nothing was completed on that day, that all they did was recommend that the coil be cleanedShe put me on hold to contact the company who stated that they changed the circuit panel on 8/21/When she came back on the line I told her that the panel was changed on 8/9/prior to the compressor being replacedThat was how they found out the compressor needed to be repairedShe told me "the technician has no reason to lie" implying that I am the one lying to herI told her I have the receipts as to what happened that day, she immediately corrected me and said I have recommendations NOT RECEIPTSIn all actuality I have the invoices with the work that was done each dayOn 8/21/t
On 8-5-we placed a service call because our pool motor stopped workingThe technician came out on 8-5, spent less than minutes looking at the motor and declared it shorted out and needed to be replacedHe didn't show anything to me, or tell me anything unless I asked specific questionsIt really felt like he just wanted to leave and be doneIt took him days to submit his report to the warranty companyI called on 8-because we hadn't heard back from anyone and the pool was getting green by then and I didn't want to get fined for a green pool or wait through the weekend for a repairAfter an hour and a half on hold I finally spoke to someone who said the claim was denied because the motor was missing a part where the wires go into the motor, and so they won't cover itI called back several other times since then to discuss the issue and pointed out that we have comprehensive coverage which is supposed to cover improper installations, repairs and modifications as wellT
We had an issue with our air conditioning unit where it was making a loud noise when it turned on and the breaker would occasionally flip offI called fidelityI paid the required deductible and they sent a service technician out to fix itThe technician said the entire unit needed to be replaced but fidelity refused to replace it rather, according to the technician, "put a bandaid on the problem." The unit still made the noise although not as loudThe following spring the unit was still making the noise still and getting louderI called fidelity and they refused to honor the work because it had been more that daysI explained to them that the problem was never fixed properlyThey said it didn't matterNow the unit is consistently causing the breaker to turn off and the unit is getting louder and louderFidelity has refused to honor the contract by properly repair a failed AC unit
Fidelity National Home Warranty is completely useless I had coverage for a year and during that year my heater started leaking carbon monoxide Fidelity sent a technician and charged me $ Technician said to call *** so I did that and they marked my heater as a hazard and disconnected it Called Fidelity back and all they did was send another technician In the contract, it says they will replace any failed appliances, but it does not look they ever will After missing work on three different occasions dealing with this, I finally gave up Do not buy Fidelity Home Warranty It will serve no purpose and you are better off not wasting your money and time with them
I purchased a home with a prepaid one year warrantyThe home was inspected by a licensed inspector prior to purchaseThe inspector tested the A/C systems for function (i.ethe fans and units worked), but was unable to confirm that they cooled to a specified temperature because of the ambient temperature being low at the time of the inspectionAfter I moved in, the outside temp had risen and I turned the two a/c units onThe upstairs unit functioned for a day, then the fan stopped workingI filed a claim on the home warrant as designedTheir contractor repair service came to inspect the unit and found that the fan motor had failedFNF then denied the repair, claiming the unit could not have functioned at the time of purchaseEven after showing them the inspector tested the units for function and they functioned fine prior to purchase, they still denied the claim because of the "ambient temperature" statement in the report
This home warrranty policy was purchased by the real estate agent and paid for through the closing of my home on July 28th, Termite damage was discovered a short time later, and a claim was filedIt was then denied due to a clerical error which was finally rectified and a partial payment of $for a $fee paid, was finally sent in November When this discrepency was questioned in January 2017, the first represnetative I spoke with was unclear from the file what the short payment was and gave me the authorization department numberAt this number I spoke with a very rude representative named *** where I was informed of a $fee specific to termite coverage of which I was previously uninformed in all the previous contacts regarding the claimHis rudeness in conjunction with what I felt was a change in what had been previously conveyed prompted me to ask for a supervisorI was told he would not do so and when I asked for his last name, he refused to give
I am in total agreement with the negative reviews Average wait time on the phone was in excess of minutes each time I called The shortest was minutes the longest was one hour plus and I was then disconnected When the AC went out they said that the earliest they could get someone out was weeks in hot Sacramento Unacceptable I found numerous companies willing to send someone out that day and picked one who did the best they could to get us cooling My claim was denied since I didn't have permission to go outside their network After several calls and hours on hold I was finally told to call an outside vendor and have the vendor call them with a complete diagnosis The vendor tried to get them on their vendor line only to find the same issues I did I finally called the vendor line and after over minutes got to talk to someone who took all my information and said he would call the vendor A week later after I had not received a call back I called and after about minutes talked to someone who told me that based on the information the vendor provided they would reimburse me up to $ The repair actually cost over $4,so I am out of pocket a significant amount After getting other bids I went with my original choice for repairs FNHW claims that they can get the job done for half because their vendors get so much business but they were unwilling or unable to give me the name of more than one network vendor who would work with them I feel totally ripped off by FNHW Their customer service is the worst, hold times extremely long and they don't seem to care one bit about you as a customer* *** ** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ** ** *** *** ** *** *** *** *** *** *** * *** *** * ** *** *** ** *** *** *** ***
Negative Review - I have been attempting to have a service request taken care of for over a month now It involves my refrigerator freezer compartment I have NOT been able to use the freezer during this entire time There have been several service techs attempt to resolve the issue but to date none have been able and the customer service individuals at Fidelity have been no assistance The wait tome for Authorization is absolutely ridiculous, each time I attempted to contact Fidelity my wait time was well over minutes I would Never recommend this company to any of my family or friends!!
I wrote a long review and then it went blank
I give this business starI called because as it got cold I found out furnace did not workCalled Fidelity and they could not send a repair person for at least a weekIt was degrees in my homeFidelity told me they could not have anyone out to my home for at least a week but that I could call a licensed company in my areaI didThey came out the next day and they tried to get heater workingThey could notThey replaced within days
When I called Fidelity the first time they mailed me a copy of out if network service providerIf they had told me to call I would have done and just maybe I would have been reimbursed for this replacement (ha)I received form after heater was replaced so now they won't coverI really didn't expect them to
Well I hope I don't have to use this service again as I have absolutely no confidence in this serviceA waste of money when you purchase a home
My A/C went out last MondayIt is now the following Wednesday and still the part that is needed is not inWhy? The company sent out a guy the same day I called them (Monday)He told me and the company what was needed to repair and would take 3-days to get inThat was last WednesdayWe find out that the company didn't order the part needed (compressor) until this Monday - a week later! Why did they wait a week to order the part? They said they has to "approve" the warranty wrokI have been displaced staying with relatives for days and counting now in the degree Texas heatThis is a horrible companyDon't use them!!! Run!!!
We got a year fidelity home warranty as part of the home purchase and a few days after moving in the fridge started leakingFidelity refuses to pay for the repair
We put in a service request for air condition repair on Saturday Their vendor never return our voice message We tried calling the vendor's number again and it was disconnectedWe spoke with a Fidelity supervisor on Monday The Fidelity supervisor contacted the vendor and advised us that the vendor was very busy and would get back to us later in the week -Friday The Fidelity supervisor gave us no assurance as to when the vendor would contact us or whether the vendor had our contact informationFidelity has only ONE air condition vendor for the Southern California (in the middle of summer)The Fidelity Supervisor lacked professionalism, problem solving ability, and did not give any explanation other than they only have ONE vendor
On 4/the tech came out to fix our washing machineIt no longer workedWe paid $** for the inspection, in addition to our monthly feeThey said it would need to be taken into the shop to be fixed and we would get it back within 4-business daysThe machine was picked up on 4/We have received new dates on when the machine will come back now, the date just keeps getting movedMeanwhile, we have no washing machine and we've paid both a monthly fee and the service feeBoth my husband and I have spoken to management they say they can do absolutely nothing
The company failed to perform under the terms of the home warranty contractSpecifically, the problem with the refrigerator was misdiagnosed, the proposed rebuilding of the part (that would not fix a problem) would take at least weeks, and the company does not provide any assurances that after six weeks the repairs would return the refrigerator to serviceLiving without an essential appliance such as refrigerator makes the residence uninhabitable and negates the contractual promise by the companyIn short, the company does not offer a meaningful way to provide the service it sold to the consumer who faithfully paid the premiums and performed all the terms of the home warranty contract
Fidelity National Home Warranty is a horrible company to do business with if you live outside of ***The company makes no real attempt to add in-service vendors in other areas outside of ***We bought our home in *** two years ago and the first year of home warranty through Fidelity was purchased and paid for by our mortgage companySix months after buying our home, we suffered a severe sewer line blockage that backed up into our yard and our house by way of our washer flow/drain lineOf course this horrible issue would arise right before a holidayI called Fidelity's number to request a service call and have it listed as an "emergency" service callI called Fidelity early in the day, the day before a holidayI spent all day trying to get a plumber sent out, but Fidelity was fighting it because the only in-service vendor was over miles awayNow the fact that Fidelity has only managed to acquire one in-service vendor in my area is their issue, not mine! Why I should be refused a service call because they are too cheap to pay the vendor they acquired is beyond meI spent all day and all evening arguing with Fidelity, until it got so late I knew I was out of luckFidelity evidently has zero issue leaving a family without toilets, showers, washing capabilities at all overnight because they do not want to pay their own in service vendorsEarly the next day (the holiday), I began haggling with Fidelity again to get us a plumberBy the time I finally lost my patience and demanded a manager, and finally convinced them to pay for the plumber, it was not only holiday hours, but it was also after hoursAdd the cost of mileage as well, and it cost them just shy of $Had they sent the plumber the day before when I first called it would have been $Real smart on Fidelity's partFlash ahead to today (December 22) and we have another sewer line back upI called Fidelity at 4pm and finally lost my patience and temper at 8pmFidelity is absolutely refusing to pay the after hours/ mileage fees for the plumber to come and snake out my sewer lineFidelity still only has the one in-service vendor in my area and they refuse to pay mileage for the one and only vendor they have to offer! How exactly does this work? I finally lost it and hung up after I told the supervisor I hoped she could sleep well after leaving a family of four without toilets and showers over Christmas holiday and the woman had the idiocy to say I had threatened her, insinuating she should stay awake because I was going to come looking for herI have never heard of such ridiculousnessI live in ***, she is in *** and I am a grown woman and do not engage in such immature bs!
I am demanding the remainder of my warranty fees be reimbursed because I refuse to deal with this company any longerA company is only as good as the customer service they provideFidelity has horrible business practices and they employ supervisors that make childish and ridiculous accusations when they do not have a decent response to why their company is screwing over it's customersHow dare they charge me $a year for warranty coverage and then refuse to pay the only in-service vendor they have for me to use! That is just absolutely ridiculousFidelity also does not have an in-service AC/ heater repair vendor in my area, so I have had to pay out of pocket to hire my own vendor, then wait almost weeks for reimbursement from FidelityI am done with this company and I would suggest to anyone looking for a warranty company to do some serious research before buying you warranty through Fidelity!
