her.  [redacted] has been a customer of Slomin’s since July 2012.  The evening of 2/**/2017, [redacted] contacted our office to discontinue her services with Slomin’s.   The morning of 2/**/2017 Slomin’s cancelled her account.  Because [redacted]’s contract was not due to expire until 2/**/2017 her account was billed an early termination fee of $499.00.  Slomin’s realizes this was only ten days shy of her cancellation date and the charge was removed.  Slomin’s also removed the annual service plan renewal charge of $199.82 billed on 1/**/2017. (See ledger attached)   Slomin's has always cooperated with the Revdex.com in resolving matters that come to your attention.  However, Slomin's does not believe it has conducted itself in any manner that would warrant your office intervention.  As mentioned above, [redacted]’s account was cancelled as she requested.  Slomin’s has removed the $499.00 early termination fee and $199.82 service contract charges from her account.  With regards to [redacted]’s online account access, once her account became cancelled this also ended her online access.  This was not done with any malicious intent as the online account access is a service available only to active accounts.  Unfortunately Slomin’s cannot remove the $188.95 cost for [redacted] Econo Pak Service plan billed on 1/**/2016. Once again Slomin’s does apologize for any inconvenience [redacted] feels we may have caused.  The balance for [redacted]’s delivery made on 12/**/2016 for $233.58 remains due.   If you should have any questions, please contact me at ###-###-####.

Thank you very much for attempting to resolve this issue.  Unfortunately it does not.  Their cancellation of our account is based off an assumption and not fact.  I am truly appalled by their statement.  Slomin's is a large and respected company and I did not expect them to act in such a manner as they are.  Not once was an admission made that oil was being received from a different company.  If Slomin's calls are recorded than that would prove my statement.  I appreciate the attempt to cut the bill in half but there should not be a bill at all.  Please let us know how this goes.  Thank you. In addition I would like to add that not once did Slomin's hold up to their end up the contract in regards to negotiating prices on oil.  My contract stated that I was locked in for a certain price and I could change that price based on going rates.  This process has been a true inconvenience for our family and I hope that it can be resolved the way we would like.  Thanks.

[redacted]   Please accept this notice as Slomin’s response to the unresolved complaint of consumer [redacted].   To settle [redacted]’s account, Slomin’s will adjust the delivery made to his home on 8/**/2016 at $1.799 per gallon.  If payment of $347.03 is received by 10/**/2016, Slomin’s will credit the remaining balance of the delivery.   If you should have any questions, please contact me at ###-###-####.

November **, 2015[redacted]Complaint ID: [redacted]Please accept this notice as Slomin’s response to the complaint of consumer [redacted].  [redacted] signed with Slomin’s for automatic home heating oil delivery on 2/**/2015...

for a guaranteed fixed heating oil price of $2.149 for one year or up to approximately 600 delivered gallons, whichever comes first.  At that time, $2.149 was a promotional rate incentive for new residential heating oil customer.  To date Slomin’s has delivered 421.4 gallons to [redacted] home.  The offer of $1.899 that [redacted] refers to in his complaint was a recent promotional fixed rate for oil offer for new residential heating customer only. Because [redacted] is an existing customer and is currently locked into a fixed rate of $2.149, regrettably he is not eligible for this offer.Slomin’s has always cooperated with The Revdex.com in resolving matters that come to your attention.  However Slomin’s does not believe that it has conducted itself in any manner that would warrant your office's intervention.  Unfortunately Slomin’s cannot adjust [redacted] delivery to $1.899 per gallon.     If you should have any questions, please contact me at ###-###-####.Sincerely,Shaneka O[redacted]Customer Service SupervisorSlomin’s Inc.

March *, 2015 The Revdex.com[redacted] Complaint ID: [redacted] Please accept this notice as Slomin’s response to the complaint of consumer [redacted] signed with Slomin’s for automatic oil delivery and our Econo...

Pak Service Plan on 11/**/2014. Slomin’s made the first delivery to [redacted]’s home on 12/**/2015.  A payment was received for $150.99 on 12/**/2014 for the Econo Pak Service Plan.  In good faith as a new customer, Slomin’s made our second automatic delivery as scheduled on 12/**/2014 before we received payment for the 12/**/2014 delivery.  The first payment Slomin’s received towards [redacted] oil delivery was on 1/**/2015 for $200.00.  Forty six days after the 12/* oil delivery, Slomin’s received a second payment of $200.00 on 1/**/2015.  The remaining balance of $339.26 for the 12/**/2014 oil delivery was made on 2/**/2015 which was sixty six days later.   On 2/**/2015, Slomin’s sent [redacted] a delivery hold notice because the delivery made on 12/**/2014 remained unpaid for forty six days.  [redacted] contacted our office the morning of 2/**/2015 because he was unhappy about the hold on his oil deliveries.  As stated in [redacted] fixed heating oil pricing agreement “Slomin’s shall be permitted to suspend oil deliveries without notice if customer is in arrears with regard to any monies owed by customer to Slomin’s”.  No payment was made at that time.   Late evening on 2/**/2015 there were two calls placed to our office by the [redacted]’s between 11:17pm and 11:52 pm.  The [redacted]’s had no heat in their home and it was presumed that they may have ran out of oil.  Due to the age of the balance which was now at fifty seven days, payment was required before a delivery could be released.  Shortly before midnight the [redacted]’s made a payment for their full balance of $560.87. Slomin’s arranged for an emergency service visit to the [redacted]’s home for our technician to drop ten gallons of oil to restart their boiler.  Slomin’s does not perform evening deliveries and the soonest a full delivery could have been made was the following day.   Slomin’s does offer a monthly budget payment plan which starts in June and ends in May the succeeding year.  Our expectation is to try and make monthly payment as affordable as possible by starting our budgets during the summer when oil isn’t as much in need so when the heating season starts they will already be ahead.  Establishing a budget plan during the heating season is possible but monthly payment can be much higher.  This is because there are a shorter number of months to calculate payments to cover their expected oil consumption during the winter. Slomin’s has always cooperated with The Revdex.com in resolving matters that come to your attention, and we are open to your suggestion in this matter.  However, Slomin’s does not believe that it has conducted itself in any manner that would warrant intervention.  We apologize for any inconvenience [redacted] feels we may have caused him and his family.  The last thing Slomin’s wants to do is hold a customer’s delivery especially during the winter months when the need for oil is critical.  Unfortunately his account was in a past due state and there is no compensation that Slomin’s can offer in this matter.  If the [redacted]’s would like information about starting a budget in June, Slomin’s would be happy to have a representative contact them to discuss at that time.    If you should have any questions, please contact us at ###-###-####. Sincerely, [redacted]Slomin’s Inc.

Please accept this notice as Slomin’s response to the complaint of consumer [redacted].
[redacted] signed with Slomin’s for automatic oil deliveries and heating...

service on 11/**/2014.  (See agreement attached)  As stated in [redacted] agreement
[redacted] established an account with Slomin’s in November 2014 for automatic oil delivery and service for her heating system.  On 11/**/2014 [redacted] signed with Slomin’s consultant George for a guaranteed fixed heating oil price of $2.899 for one year or up to approximately 1000 delivered gallons, whichever came first.  [redacted] also purchased Slomin’s [redacted] Service Plan for $139.00.
Upon expiration of [redacted] fixed price agreement, her account remained active and on automatic delivery.  An automatic renewal invoice for the [redacted] service plan was also issued for the succeeding year on 11/**/2015 which acts as a reminder when their agreement ends.
As [redacted] agreement states “Upon expiration of this agreement, Slomin’s will continue to make automatic deliveries to customer’s premises at Slomin’s retail heating oil price in effect on the date of the delivery but both parties reserve the right to renegotiate the price based on the then prevailing market conditions”.  The delivery made to [redacted] home on 12/**/2015 was delivered at a price of $2.349 per gallon which was below the average retail price of oil on that date.  (See attached [redacted] for average home heating oil prices in the Long Island Region)  Slomin’s representative, Scott spoke with [redacted] on 12/**/2015 and offered her a new fixed rate of $1.979 which she declined.
Slomin’s has always cooperated with The Revdex.com in resolving matters that come to your attention.  However Slomin’s does not believe that it has conducted itself in any manner that would warrant your office's intervention.  In an attempt to try and maintain good customer relations, Slomin’s is willing to settle the cost for the 12/**/2015 delivery at the offer given on that date of $1.979.  Upon receipt of payment for $179.10 in full by 2/**/2016, Slomin’s will remove any remaining balance from [redacted] account.

[redacted] Complaint ID: [redacted] Please accept this notice as Slomin’s response to the complaint of consumer [redacted] signed with Slomin’s on 5/**/2013 for a guaranteed...

fixed heating oil price of $3.299 and Slomin’s Econo Pak Service Plan for $129.00.  The term of the guaranteed fixed heating pricing agreement was for one year or up to approximately six hundred delivered gallons, whichever occurred first.  The agreement also informs our customers that upon expiration, Slomin’s will continue to make automatic deliveries to customer’s premises at Slomin’s retail heating oil price in effect on the date of delivery.  [redacted] fulfilled his six hundred gallon requirement after Slomin’s delivered on 2/**/2014.  [redacted] did not lock in a new price nor cancel his account at that time.  Because [redacted] did not lock into a new fixed rate, as a customer courtesy, Slomin’s applied a $0.20 variable discount to [redacted]’s account.  Automatic oil deliveries was a condition under [redacted]’s Econo Pak Service Plan as well which remained in effect until 5/**/2014. Slomin’s has always cooperated with The Revdex.com in resolving matters that come to your attention, and we are open to your suggestion in this matter.  However, Slomin’s does not believe that it has conducted itself in any manner that would warrant intervention.   Due to the extended delinquent status, [redacted]’s account is currently being handled by Slomin’s collections department.  Should the balance of $793.17 remain unpaid, Slomin’s will have no choice but to assign to our attorney for further collection action.   If you should have any questions, please contact our collections department at ###-###-####. Sincerely, [redacted]Slomin’s Inc.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[I want no further business with slomins. They are deceitful, and use bullying tactics to try to circumvent the agreement salesman gave. I will agree to pay for oil delivered as per 2.99 per gallon only. No matter what tank on my property oil was added to. I want contract terminated to never have anything to do with them in future. I had a price of 2.99 per gallon, I will pay at that price for oil delivered. I don't want any more oil. I want a cease and desist order, and no further fees, and will pay only for oil delivered at 2.99 per gallon thus far. no future business or oil or fees or contact with said company. thank you [redacted]  ]

[redacted]   Please accept this notice as Slomin’s response to the complaint of consumer [redacted]   [redacted] has been a Slomin’s customer since December 2**5 and...

has maintained a good account.  Since her account was established we have visited her home three times for service.  The most recent visit to [redacted] was on 10/**/2**6.   On 10/**/2**6 [redacted] contacted our office to report that she had no hot water.  Slomin’s customer service representative Ginny agreed to schedule a same day service appointment to check her issue.  [redacted] account was flagged that she had a separate gas hot water heater which she did not have coverage for.  Ginny informed [redacted] of this and advised there could be a possible charge for the visit. Any customer that does not have a service contract with Slomin’s is charged $189.00 per hour plus parts.  A customer who has purchased Slomin’s service plan but they are in need of a service that is not covered under the agreement is charged $149.00 per hour plus parts. Shortly after [redacted] conversation with Ginny, she contacted our office again and spoke with Natalie to cancel the service appointment .   Approximately two hours later, [redacted] contacted our office again to request service because another company whom she had to home to check her hot water issue informed her that she was out of oil and that was the cause of her having no hot water.  Slomin’s customer service representative Joanne scheduled another same day service appointment to check [redacted] heating system.  Upon our mechanics arrival he dropped fifteen gallons of oil and got her unit back up and running.  [redacted] account was also updated that she has an indirect hot water heater and not a separate hot water heater which she also does not have coverage for.   During [redacted] conversation with Joanne on 10/**/2**6 she requested to speak with a supervisor because she was unhappy that she incurred an extra expense from the other company she called to check her heating system.  On 10/**/2**6 Slomin’s customer service supervisor Brendan contacted [redacted] to discuss her dissatisfaction.  As a courtesy he offered to issue her account a credit for $50 for the inconvenience.    [redacted] contacted our office again on 10/**/2**6.  She spoke with Brendan once more because she was still unhappy as she was insistent on getting a full reimbursement for $141.00. [redacted] requested that her issue be escalated and as Brendan’s manager I took over the phone call.  [redacted] and I spoke at length regarding her request to be reimbursed for $141.00.  I apologized several times for any inconvenience she felt Slomin’s caused her.  However I explained it was her choice to hire another company for service and cancel the appointment she scheduled with us.  Slomin’s did not refuse to service [redacted] we just simply forewarned of the possibility that the service she required could be at a charge. There is but so much information we can acquire over the phone and it is our customer service representatives responsibility to advise of all probabilities.    Slomin’s has always cooperated with the Revdex.com in resolving matters that come to your attention and we are open to your suggestion in this matter.  However, Slomin’s does not believe it have conducted itself in any manner that would warrant your office’s intervention.  As previously mentioned, Slomin’s has already made [redacted] a generous offer to credit of $50.00 to account under the described circumstances.  Slomin’s cannot reimburse [redacted] for her making the decision to hire another company and not allowing Slomin’s to diagnose the issue.    If you should have any questions, please contact me at ###-###-####.   Sincerely,   Shaneka O[redacted] Customer Service Supervisor Slomin’s Inc.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and while I still believe the service I received was borderline reprehensible, I took the offer to cancel my contract without an early termination fee. I still feel misled and bullied into this particular decision but at a certain point it's not worth the irritation to fight anymore.
Sincerely,

[redacted]   Please accept this notice as Slomin’s response to the complaint of consumer [redacted].   Slomins’s does apologize for any inconvenience [redacted]...

[redacted] feels we may have caused.  Slomin’s has had contact with [redacted] several times since early August regarding her move.  As reported by [redacted] her closing date was pushed back several times.  On 9/**/2016 [redacted]’s discussed cancellation options available to her and her account was closed due to her moving as requested.    If should have any questions please contact me at ###-###-####.   Sincerely,   Shaneka O[redacted] Customer Service Supervisor Slomin’s Inc.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.  I wasn't treated professionally when I called the very first time, alarm goiing off, children in the house running around, dogs scared and shaking.  I had never been talked to that way in my life, certainly not by anyone I do business with and pay to do business with.  I appreciate the credit for one month.  However, when my contract is done, and no possibility of canceling and being charged fees for cancelling, I will never use Slomins again.  I need to use a company that is more flexible and can make their scheduling more conducive to their customers.  And the reason why I had to keep rescheduling is becuase I work full time.  And had to take an early day/vacation time to meet Slomin's at my home.  I have a job, so therefore my personal events and schedule depend on my work.
Sincerely,

[I have received the bill from Nassau County. It is for $100.00 and as an on time paying customer I expect that fee to be covered by Slomins. They install equipment that they purchase from their chosen manufacturer so it is up to them to make sure it's working equipment.

[redacted]   Please accept this notice as Slomin’s response to the complaint of consumer [redacted].   Slomin’s does apologize for any inconvenience [redacted] feel we...

may have caused.   The evening of 12/**/2016, [redacted] did in fact contact our office. However it was to question a part that had to be ordered for her heating system found to be needed during a not enough heat service call rendered on 12/**/2016. Slomin’s was not made aware that there was a carbon monoxide issue until the morning of Sunday, 12/**/2016.  Slomin’s customer service representative Keshia spoke with [redacted] and advised him that the fire department must be called before a mechanic could be sent to the home to make sure it was safe for anyone to be in the home.  At time of the phone call the fire department was at the home. A fireman at the [redacted]’s home spoke with Keshia and advised of readings in the home which gave us clearance to arrange for emergency service.  Slomin’s mechanic arrived at approximately 9:53am.    On 12/**/2016, [redacted] also spoke with Slomin’s customer service supervisor Gary because he had not heard from us regarding the part needed for his heating system.  Because it was a Sunday, Gary advised would follow up on Monday to try to retrieve any information.  The following day Gary left a detailed message advising that we have had multiple venders searching for the part needed but to no avail.   As mentioned above, Slomin’s does apologize for any inconvenience the [redacted]’s feel we may have caused.  We share their concern when there is a presence of carbon monoxide in a customer’s home and the need for immediate service once proper procedures are followed.    Recently, Slomin’s in house sales manager Edward contacted [redacted] and advised that the part needed to his heating system is not available.  It was recommended by Slomin’s technician that the boiler should be replaced.         If you should have any questions, please contact me at ###-###-####.
