I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
The response I received by hour fitness indicates that the local club has been unsuccessful in their attempts to contact me, however, this claim is not accurate I had only received one voicemail on 10/27/from *** who claimed to be the new manager at the *** location I called back on the same day and was advised that he was in a meeting and left my information for him to call me back I did not receive a callback I made a second attempt to contact *** the following day and was advised that he was no longer with the company and spoke to the interim manager, *** On 10/28/15, I briefly summarized my issue with *** and he advised me that he would need to speak with the district manager due to the monetary value of my request He advised me that he hoped to get back to me by Friday, however, that did not happen I called again on Monday 11/2/to follwith *** and was advised that he was in California all week for meetings I received this email message response on Thursday, 11/5/15, suggesting that I was the one that was unable to be reached I called again today, 11/9/in another attempt to reach *** and get closure for this issue Once again, he was in a meeting and I left a message to call me back and I have not heard from him yet this evening Clearly, I am not the difficult one to reach The constant turnover in management at this location coupled with the unresponsiveness to multiple messages left for callback have caused the delay in resolution, not my inability to return a voicemail.]

Oh, great. Thank you,***. As I said, I did not see your response at the time. My email server, ***, has been a mess. *** I need to switch, but dread it
So, yes. Please, reopen the complaint.
*** ***,Hour Fitness's district manager, called and tried to offer me deals like two free months of membership and free training sessions to appease me, telling me that the tires stayUnacceptable
I talked to some more members who hate those tires.I think what we need to do is make them put a poll on the counter as members enter the gym, asking if they like or dislike the tire training exercise. The guys I talked with will sign
As I told *** *** we members pay for that facility with our membership dues. They should answer to us instead of ruining our workout experience. I still have a form of PTSD from the banging and shaking of the building
And *** said he had to agree with me that it is unfair that the machines downstairs are always broken, the TV connections don't work, and the gym tells us they can't afford to fix them. And yet, they can buy that new equipment and open new gyms. Their first priority should be to keep members happy
Thank you, again. I look forward to hearing your progress with the gym
Sincerely,
*** ***

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.24hour fitness contacted me in response to my Revdex.com complaint.*** from customer care explained that 24hour fitness wants to provide the best experience to its members and that costs more money than they were collectingShe specifically pointed out the money would be spent on cleaning clubs, adding and maintaining equipment and opening new clubs. They sent an electronic copy of my contract which contained lots of barely legible fine print Page 2, which contained section 3c regarding right to increase dues, appeared different than the other pages which she said was because it was probably a different color paper rather than because it was not from the original contract I would be happy to post page as it does not have personal identifying info Section 3c specifies that 24h can only raise dues once per year and can only raise dues a maximum of 5% of monthly dues It states in the same paragraph that 24h can increase dues on prepaid plans annually The agreement did not specify the amount of the increase for prepaid plans although its inclusion in the same paragraph with the 5% limit on dues increases certainly suggests to the reader (if not contractually limits) the increase should be a maximum of 5% This was ***'s rationale for why 24h can and did raise my premium 250% in one year Further 24h can do the same each year I not sure if the contract legally permits this, but it does not strike me as a better business practice. When hour promotes and sells the prepaid plans, the selling point is that they lock you into an annual rate If that annual rate can increase every year by an unlimited amount then the member is not getting any rate lock or benefit at all and it amounts to advertisement I get that there are costs of doing business and that they go up, hence the 5% dues increase clause I purchased a contact to get a low annual renewal rate If that low rate increases by 5% each year then that is a reasonable expectation and it is still a good deal to the customer Cleaning, maintaining and updating equipment are basic to running a gym, not a reason to raise dues 200-300% at one time Opening new clubs should bring in new members and more revenue and be financed accordingly, not be a reason to raise existing dues astronomically Most businesses whether it be electricity, health insurance, rent, even retail stores would keep any rate or price increase (if there is an increase) to a reasonable amount,

Dear Mr***,
Our records indicate that a Member Care Specialist has contacted
you in follow up to the additional comments you provided to the Revdex.com, and they have clarified the access terms of your Bally membership
acquired by 24 Hour Fitness in December 2014.
Please be advised that the All Club Sport upgrade that you recently purchased on 4/2/allows you additional access to Hour
Fitness locations which were not affiliated with the Bally acquisitionAs such, you have access
to all Sport and Active level Hour locations (in addition to the club
locations previously owned and operated by Bally Total Fitness) as
long as your Bally agreement and 24 Hour Fitness upgrade agreement
remain in good standing in our system. We hope that this brings some clarification to your concern as
well as the terms of your membership.Promoting Health and Fitness,Hour Fitness Corporate Office

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID***, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved
Regards,
*** ***

The “issue” (a clear, verifiable, multi-year pattern of grossly unsanitary
conditions at this particular downtown *** location) cannot be “addressed”, let alone “resolved” by perfunctory call from a local club manager
Nor do I find believable her contention that local 24HourFitness clubs need formal corporate clearance to keep soap in the soap dispensers, to clear drains or to fix shower faucets
I am also skeptical of her claim that it is difficult to find male employees to work in the men’s locker room: on any given days, one can observe up to half-a-dozen idle male staff members chit-chatting in between training sessions or sales callsI have personally observed many of them personally use the facility and blissfully ignore the perennial problems (e.gno soap), not bothering to even report them
On January 6, I had to personally remove the Holiday Hours notice still taped on the wall
This morning, January 12, another urinal was yet again out of order and some showers were out of soap yet again by 7amThis is an EVERYDAY EVENT!
“Management” employees are never to be found before 8am, well after the first rush-hour wave of the day
The sheer laziness and lackadaisical approach to management is revolting, especially in the wake of this club proclaiming itself “SuperSport” in order to charge more while doing less
If this is “Better Business”, what could possibly be worse business?
Pathetic
