For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.As indicated in my previous message, Hour Fitness has not agreed to honor what their representative told us when we purchased the membership. Although the membership agreement contains a clause permitting annual renewal increases, their representative told us that for a large upfront fee, we would only have to pay an annual renewal rate of $99, and the rate would never increase (this was apparently a very common practice by Hour Fitness representatives - to get people to sign up for memberships, pay large up front fees, and promise that the annual renewal rate would never increase (for example, see *** Under California law (Riverisland Cold Storage, IncvFresno-Madera Production Credit Assn(2013) Cal.4th 1169), evidence, other than the actual contract, can also be considered to show what the parties actually agreed to, and to show that there were misrepresentations made when entering into the contract. By increasing our fees now, we feel that Hour Fitness misrepresented the membership we purchased when we paid the large up front fee Hour Fitness also claims that the fee increase was "an important and necessary step to ensure we provide all of our members with a clean, friendly, well-maintained club experience." However, at my club, I have not noticed any "steps" taken to ensure a "clean, friendly, well-maintained club experience." So, this explanation does not even come close to addressing my complaint.In the end, I would have hoped that as members that paid their dues on time for several years, and according to the terms of the membership as explained to us when we purchased the agreement, Hour Fitness would treat us fairly and honor what their representative told us about only having to pay an annual renewal rate of $99.Regards,*** ***

When I bought a lifetime membership for my mother, I was told it would be the same deal that I have for my lifetime membership only $more annually and it would not increase I bought my lifetime membership in and I bought my mom's in This year my my mom's was raised to $ This is unacceptable to me and I am not satisfied I want my mother's annual dues to remain at $annually

Revdex.com:Company has offered refund and reinstated the previous fees because they were unable to locate the contract.This complaint isn't completely satisfactory but mostly satisfactory due to the larger agenda that hour fitness is phasing out old contracts by not building Sports clubs anymore, and building Super Sports only instead

*** from Hr called me. The are refunding the first payments for $via check. She claims Hr did not charge my credit card and did not receive payment for the 3rd charge after my membership was canceled. I checked with my credit card company and was informed that Hr fitness , Carlsbad CA submitted the chargeThey told me they have to wait at least days to allow the dispute with HR to respond. So once the check is received (and clears the bank) and the credit card charge is resolved, then I will let you know. The manager sent me an email which was a bit insultingHe stated that my some of my
claims were falseFor example, the treadmills that I stated in the complaint, he said that there is only brokenIf he really paced the floor as he said he did, he would know treadmilla are broken and a third does not function correctlyThen he processed to tell me that the gym has newer treadmills
I explained I can not use those tredmillds because of my back conditionYet I find it disturbing that you get crappy tredmill, new back equioment, new elipticas and the tredmill I want fixed has been broken for over a year and another now broken for iver minths? Secondly, he says the press machinwas fixed Yes bit that is because they received the complaintThe manager stated that he was going be available from Monday to Friday and we attempted calling and was not there
