For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.After filing my complaint with Revdex.com hour Fitness did call me & emailed a copy of my contract to me. (When I had asked that they email me a copy of my contract previously I was told that they couldn't do that and they would mail it to me. They said it would take several weeks to get my contract to me.) The person that I spoke with told me that in the contract it states that they can increase the dues after a month period. I paid the increased rate so that I could continue to workout at the facilities.
There is a clause in the contract which states that after months they can increase the yearly dues. However this is not how it was verbally presented to me when the contract was sold to me nor did they give me a copy of the contract at signing. From talking with other members I am not the only person this happened to. Hour Fitness is apparently standing behind their employees and their unethical sales practices. I reiterate that this contract was sold as a contract in which I paid for years up front & after the years my membership dues would never increase and that it was a lifetime membership.Regards,*** ***

Up to that point, by the way, I had been trying to cal every day and was on hold 30,40, minutes at a time and would have to hang up because I had to go back to workI believe you've engineered it that way to make it impossible to cancel memberships. Anyway, during the 10/telephone conversation I asked why no one had ever responded to my September email either, and was told, " I have no ideaThat is the customer service department" and offered nothing more -- not even an apology-- simply passing the buck. Then, you tried to convince me that I was charged twice in August and three times in September because of "reversed charges" in June??!! That you were "playing catch up" is something else I was told, and it was so incredibly vague and you could not adaquetly explain what that meant, so I pressed further I was told I would receive proof via email right away that was four days ago and of course I have received nothing ( Othter than the lie here about not being able to reach me)I first believed you were just shockingly incompetent but after reading your lie above I am now sure that you ignored my email on purpose, make it impossible to reach you by phone by design, and never intended to email me proof at all For that reason I want nothing to do with you and I demand that you return the months of stolen membership fees and terminate my membership as of the date of my complaint above (October 5) where I asked for just that, and prorate my fees back to that point as well.
