matter to see if we overlooked anything that might support a more favorable

Complaint

I booked a hotel in the marina area in San Diego. Instead I received a hotel right on their area border that is absolutely not on the Marina as advertised and is much further into the city far from the marina. I contacted Priceline to give them an opportunity to resolve this and they refused. The...

client service specialist I spoke with stated that I was not taking the resolution he was offering and I asked him specifically what resolution he was offering and he stated he had no resolution. How can someone state that I am refusing when you have no option? I am looking for someone to do the right thing instead of the deceptive practice they are continuing to follow

understand that the consumer did not have enough time to rent a vehicle due to his/her
flight arrival time. Our flights and rental car reservations are treated
independently unless booked as a package. We also do not assume that every
passenger would require a rental vehicle upon arrival. The consumer’s initialed
contract page indicates that he/she selected a Name Your Own Price reservation
disclosing that flights will start anytime between 6 AM and 10 PM, and that the
passenger will arrive no later than 12:30 a.m. the next day. I am sorry that Priceline is unable to assist the consumer

Furthermore, if Priceline had that option for me to select from, the hotel would've been informed and would've kept the non smoking room for me, as was indicated by the hotel employees. However, Priceline does not list the smoking/non smoking option instead simply promising the non smoking one.Therefore, it's not a "subject to availability upon arrival" but rather clear case of false advertisement. I am rejecting this response because:No, I did not say that I was charged for my request with $45, I indicated that my bid was accepted for $45 but you charged my $66 which was the daily offer price as opposed to my bided price which was $45. I understand that if I bided the $66, I will not be able to get a refund, exchange or transfer but that was not my bid, only the suggested offer, my bid offer was $45. However, I completed the reservation offer anticipating on a $45 per day rental, not a $66 per day rental as far as the summary page, all of the information was disclosed to me after I had completed my personal information anticipating on reserving the $45 per day rental.  After speaking to at least four of your representative regarding this matter on that very same day, one was Chad, the others were [redacted], they indicated to me that they saw where it accepted the $45 per day rental before I was charged the $66 but it was nothing that they could do about it. One of your sales representative by the name of [redacted] indicated to me that she was working from home, not onsite and that there of higher power that I could speak to and that she was the manager in charge which I feel was very unprofessional on her behalf since she was working from her home. I am really trying to resolve this issue in a good way. Is there not anyway that we can come to some type of happy medium to resolve this issue such as negotiating another price where it will be both beneficial to you as a business professional and me as a customer. As a customer, I am willing to pay at least $55 per day which is a fair on both of our behalf since this rental was booked early and will not take place for another 16 days. I am rejecting this response because:What the response fails to address are the numerous bids made prior to
this.  If an offer is rejected, you are permitted to rebid.  The
directions suggest increasing your price or adding another area.  I had
initially increased my price several times.  On the last bid, I added an
area.  On the screen where you make the bids, stars are placed with
consumer ratings.  This remained the same on the page where I was making
the bid.  What comes up next is a screen to review your bid.  Without
having the screen in front of me to look at, it has info at the top like
date of arrival, date of leaving, bid offer.   This screen had been
identical for the first several offers.  Apparently, info at the bottom
changed on the last offer.  This is my complaint.  This should be
highlighted or otherwise brought to the consumer's attention.  Why would I
assume that this would change after the first few were identical?  This
is why I feel it was a "bait and switch" tactic.  This had never happened to me during any of my uses of this service in the past.The fact that
the hotel had a higher star rating on other sites is not relevant.  I
was using information provided by Priceline, not comparing it to other
company's ratings.  The comments about the location were provided by
Priceline customers, not other company's customers.  I agree with the
comments about the location.  While I was there, one customer was asking
to be moved to another hotel because she did not feel comfortable with
the locale.  I was traveling with a male, and we were not able to use
the hotel parking lot because the van would not fit.  Safety was a
definite concern.  This is why I called Priceline immediately since I am
familiar with this city.

I am rejecting this response because: customer service was horrible and customer satisfaction and retintion isn't worth a damn especially for long time and numeorous rental customers who does all rentals through Priceline.com
