Please accept our apology for any confusion you experienced on our site. With Priceline, you can choose from a number of options depending on your needs.   You can select a specific hotel from a list of participating properties with our Published Price hotel option or, if you'd rather save even more, you can choose a restricted reservation where you select the area and star level, but the hotel's name is not revealed until after the purchase. When you choose a restricted reservation, you agree to stay in any participating hotel that matches your requested star level and area selections. Any sorting or filtering you did prior to naming your own price will not apply to your request and you do not have the option to select a specific hotel partner. This information was disclosed to you during the request process.   Because your reservation was restricted, it cannot be changed or cancelled. When we find a hotel partner willing to accept your request, we immediately book the reservation in order to secure your low rate. We understand that this was a special event for you and your fiance, and we apologize if we were unable to make any exceptions to your reservation. As a gesture of goodwill, we decided to issue a partial refund amounting to 45.32 USD. This refund will be processed through our system within one business day. Thank you for patiently waiting while we try to resolve this for you. Please see the resolutions for each trip number.    For PTR [redacted], we sent a request to [redacted] to waive the no show fee of $240.00 last July 16,2017. We just received a reply from [redacted]...

unfortunately they will not waive the fee. We have processed a refund of $757.76 back to the original card used. We process the refund in our system within one business day however, processing time varies by bank.     For PTR [redacted]s allowed us to place the value of the ticket on hold for future travel. I have received the consumer’s
additional comments. As you requested, I have again reviewed this matter
and the following was sent to the consumer addressing the inquiry. According to
[redacted], a duplicate reservation was purchased and the hotel manager
advised that she must contact Priceline in order to obtain a refund for a
duplicate reservation. Priceline contacted the hotel concerning this matter and
they verified that the reservation that the customer used was listed und[redacted]on. The hotel located another reservation listing a different guest
name[redacted] and therefore not a duplicate reservations.  According to the hotel, no notes were indicated
on either reservation regarding any cancellation/refund. The hotel has advised
that they are unable to provide a refund as the purchase is non-refundable and
the room was held for the night as reserved. This matter clearly concerns
claims that can only be validated and addressed by the property. The consumer/Bureau
may contact the hotel directly concerning any further assistance.  I am sorry that we are unable to
assist the consumer any further in this situation.

[redacted] Hello thank you Price line / Revdex.com for responding however the letter / complaint sent on 04/15 concerning itinerary # [redacted], and why I was requesting my refund, and possibly a complimentary day (all verifiable with maybe a complimentary day because of missing a email business opportunity for a Product I am trying to market. I had been waiting for that email, and I didn't see it until 04/01 but came through 03/31, he's a hard man to reach ). Right here let me interject the art of the conversation with your Rep. (Red) that would make any customer angry, after explaining the situation about the internet inaccessibility (amenity) and someone telling you their spending hundreds a month to keep / maintain the room (as temporary lodging) good customer retention is ma'am i'm sorry let us try remedying this unfortunate inability to access the internet here's your refund. Instead after telling her what happened and her response to it, I  told her okay I can file with the Revdex.com she said " Well ma'am you do what you feel is best, because we have a membership with the Revdex.com, and we are in good standing, and it was your job to go and find internet service somewhere else if you didn't have it at the hotel, but yet it's part of the booking/amenities. ( had I been some corporate guy on business who knows what he would have done)  Now my thought was I'm struggling/working hard at coming up with a minimum of $1350.00 a month to keep this room until I find something permanent, this arrogant insensitive young rep. could not see past anything but the bottom line (not the customer) which was money for the company. Understand outside of this I think Price line is a great booking company, and I have helped others book hotels through Price line and told others about the company, so I am just looking for an exceptable outcome to this situation. Now please in terms of replying to this email I felt no one actually looked at what the complaint was about, because they were responding to a issue in the and didn't really read it. scheduled check-in date the hotel considered you a 'no-show' and released your
rooms. This is standard procedure. If you had purchased your reservations from
another travel company or directly from the hotel, the reservations would still
be non-refundable.

I am rejecting this response because:.I gave you all the information you requested. Phones numbers of surgeon, doctors and hospital. I understand your polices. However, a $90 refund of a $505 fare is an insult to a regular customer who has a Priceline credit card, in good standing. This is  totally wrong. Previously, I have never cancelled a flight. I have never purchased flight insurance. With my past flight history; I have never needed those services. I asked if those monies could be utilized for a future flight. No cooperation from you. I had serious surgery on my spine. I cancelled as soon as I received a surgery date. This is extremely poor handling of a customer who had a good intentions. If this measly offering is the best you you can do, I will tear up my credit card, contact the local media, and never do business with you again. This is a lose-lose situation for your company. I lose money and the tickets are sold elsewhere. Very shabby business practices from a large company. It is unbelievable that you would treat a customer like this.[redacted]

With Priceline’s Name Your Own Price service, the consumer agrees to stay in a property located anywhere within the shaded area disclosed on the website for the consumer’s selected area(s). Priceline clearly discloses that we will find a room in a hotel willing to agree to your offer price in the shaded area displayed on the priceline.com website for the consumer’s selected area(s). The Hotel [redacted], located at [redacted], is clearly located in the shaded area of the mapping guidelines for the area labeled [redacted]. Consumers who wish to stay in a particular property/location, have the option to select  a hotel from our Published Price service  where consumers see a list of competitive prices across a wide range of hotels and can choose his/her exact price and hotel.  I am sorry that Priceline is unable to assist the consumer any further in this situation.
