I have received the consumer’s
additional comments.  As you requested, I
have again reviewed this matter to see if we overlooked anything that might
support a more favorable conclusion. According to the consumer, he/she selected
morning flights for her Name Your Own Price request. When selecting Name Your Own
Price airline tickets, the consumer agrees to travel anytime, as disclosed on
the contract page, and is not provided with the option to select morning, afternoon
or evening flights. Additionally, Priceline does not guarantee seat assignments
and advises that if you cannot get a seat assignment online, or with
the carrier directly, your seats will be assigned at check-in. I am sorry that the consumer’s
selected reservation is non-refundable and we are unable to
assist the consumer any further in this situation.

I am rejecting this response because:This is not a resolution at all. How would it make sense for me to cancel reservations for a "possible refund" of a little over $100? That would put me at a loss of over $600. To think that someone took the time to offer such a resolution is extremely disrespectful. If this is all they can do than you can close the complaint, but no. I am not satisfied and I will never use priceline or any of it's subsidiary's ever again moving forward. I will be sure to share this experience with all friends and professional colleagues so they avoid priceline as well.

[redacted]er stated that she chose to add an additional night to her reservation and it never advised her that she may receive a higher rate and that she may have to check-out and check-in to a new room. Customer was requesting a refund for the additional night reservation.   We advise customers on the website when they request to add a night that: If your request of additional nights is accepted you may have to check-out of your original room and check back in to a different room, and We cannot guarantee that you will be able to add night(s) for the same rate you paid for your original reservation. Notes show customers additional night reservation was cancelled and refunded in full because customer was unhappy with the quality of the hotel.   I sent the customer an email advising of this information; however, customer rejected the response. She stated I was referring to the wrong reservation and was unhappy with the response. I replied advising of this information:   We are sorry for any inconvenience; however, the additional night policies remain the same for each reservation booked on our website. I am rejecting this response because Priceline is simply unwilling to assume any of the risk of advertising prices for its car rental companies. I understand car rental rates (like airplane fares) change all the time. The problem is that Priceline CONTINUED to advertised the rate I was quoted (but could not purchase) well after my initial inquiry. That's what makes this appear to be an example of unfair "bait and switch" tactics for which Priceline should be held accountable. If, as Priceline itself said in one of its responses, such an occurrence is very rare, then why wouldn't a company stand behind its advertised prices out if for no other reason than customer goodwill? It is Priceline's responsibility to rent cars at the prices it advertises. That's why customers like myself patronize Priceline...not to be offered one thing when you can only purchase something more expensive. It seems Priceline is hiding behind a "policy" in order to eliminate ANY risk on its part...and the customer is the loser.

understand you are requesting for additional compensation because your original
hotel was completely sold out of rooms and was unable to accommodate your
reservation. We reviewed your request and verified that we re-accommodated you
at the [redacted] on your travel dates.
Your new hotel is a 2.5 star property that has a guest rating of 8.7 out 10.
Your new hotel offers free parking, free internet and free breakfast. It is a
100% non smoking facility. Your original reservation was confirmed for a
standard room that accommodates
2 adults and your new reservation was booked for a non
smoking suite with 2 queen sized beds and a sofa bed. We reviewed your request
further and verified that a refund equivalent to one night stay has been
processed as a compensation. A refund in the amount of 97.31 USD was issued on
July 26, 2016. The refund was processed through our system within one business
day; however, bank processing time varies, so please check with them if you
don't see the refund in your account within a few business days.
 Furthermore, we would like to offer you a 20% Hotel
Express Deal that can be used on a future purchase. You will need to enter your
Coupon Code at checkout then click "apply" and your discount will
instantly be deducted from the total price in the Summary of Charges. Your
