prior to booking, we stated the following reminder: "If you are traveling
outside the US, all travelers will need a valid passport and you may also need
to show additional documentation at your destination and/or in connecting
countries".
 
Your purchase is governed by the carriers fare rules and
restrictions associated with your ticket, and all exchange fees are passed
along to the airline. By submitting your request, you indicated that you agreed
to abide by our "terms and conditions" and the change/cancel policies
associated with your reservation. As a travel agency, our only option is to
abide by the airline-imposed fare rules, and we are not able to waive the fees.
To extend our assistance, we contacted [redacted] Airlines on your behalf;
however, they are unable to approve any refunds nor waive the exchange fees.
Therefore, the policy regarding your airline credits will stand.
 
In addition, the hotel portion of your reservation is
non-changeable and non-cancelleable. This was clearly indicated during the
request process.
The only reason we were able to refund your hotel charges
is because our travel partner agreed to provide an exception.

states: “Subsequent to the complaint filed with the
Revdex.com, I phoned the hotel personally, and explained that I would not be staying
there due to the distance from my destination. They were extremely gracious,
cancelled my reservation, and agreed to drop any charges to myself or Priceline.” On behalf of the consumer,
we contacted the hotel concerning the consumer’s claim and spoke with [redacted]
at the front desk who advised that they do not show on their records that the consumer
called the property to cancel the reservation and were advised of a refund.  The following was
sent to the consumer addressing this inquiry.Dear [redacted]Thank you for taking the time to
contact us regarding your reservation at the [redacted] for Trip
Number [redacted]We are writing to let you know
that we received your Revdex.com concern in our Executive Offices.We contacted your hotel and
spoke with Keegan at the front desk. They do not show on their records that you

confirmed hotel is within the shaded area that you saw when you submitted your
request. The properties in the disclosed price listings can be different than

Our records confirm that on 5/13/15, at 9:32 AM, the
consumer authorized the purchase of a non-refundable Name Your Own Price hotel
room reservation in the area labeled [redacted] ([redacted]) - [redacted] Areas. The consumer received hotel accommodations
at the Residence
Inn by [redacted]...

[redacted]
On 5/13/15, at 10:08:59, the consumer contacted Priceline advising that
he/she was not satisfied with the location of the hotel and requested a refund.
The representative reminded the consumer of the non-refundable, non-changeable terms
and conditions agreed upon at the time of booking and verified that the hotel
was located within the shaded area of the area labeled [redacted] ([redacted]) - [redacted].
 
Please note, that once the consumer made an agreement with
Priceline to purchase the reservation, Priceline committed the non-refundable
payment to the travel supplier based on that agreement.
 
Priceline was then contacted by the
consumer’s Credit Card bank advising that the consumer chose to dispute the
charge with the intent not to pay for the non-refundable purchase.
 
Once a credit card dispute is initiated and
the bank withdraws the funds outside the terms of the agreement, the
reservation is cancelled.   We are sorry that the consumer chose to
dispute the non-refundable purchase with the credit card issuing bank and we
are unable to assist the consumer any further in this matter.

I am rejecting this response because:This is a reply too the answer from priceline. Case number [redacted].I was booking a hotel and a rental car from priceline. I booked May 72015 to May 9, 2015 for the hotal and May 6, 2015 to May10, 2015 for the rental car.  When I was finish booking the reservation thru priceline I saw that they booked me for [redacted].  I never asked to be booked to VT.  I was booking for [redacted].  I also did not see they had the wrong date too. So there was clearly a problem with the booking because I was not booking for VT. And definitely not in April, for I was picking my daughter up from college in [redacted].  I did not see that not only did they book the wrong state but the wrong date too. I called Price line right away to let them know about their misake.  I told them that I was not going to **.  I did not notice that they had the wrong date too.  Priceline refunded the hotel.  I called Priceline to see when I would be getting the refund back on my credit card so I can re book.  I looked at the rental car reservation and saw that the dates on both reservation were wrong also. I let them know this was not the date I put in.  They told me that I would have to pay for the rental.  I told them I don't know how this happen it must be a computer glitch just like the booking me to **. Priceline said that I would still have to pay for the rental and I should pick up the car Arpil 6. I don't understand why they would not honer the reservation and just change the date for me.  I was not trying not to use them I just needed the right dates in for the reservation'  There is no way I put in the wrong dates it had to be a problem with the computer or something for I know when I was suppose to pick up my daughter.  I asked Priceline to corret the dates. They told me they could'not. That I would have to pay for this computer mistake. I feel this is very unfair.  How do you charge someone for a service that they never use. I also had to book hotal and rental car thru another company.  So they think that it is fare to have the consumer pay twice for the same trip. And I really don't understand  why they  refused to refunded rental put they did refund the hotel.  And I let them know about this probem right away.  And I do not recall putting my initials on anything.  Thank you for looking in to this matter for me.[redacted]

If your request is successful, Priceline will
immediately lock in your reservation and charge your form of payment. If your
reservation is not successfully booked, you will not be charged.

Additional charges may apply at the counter if
you pick up or drop off the car at a different date, time, or location than
you requested for your reservation.

Your reservation does not include vehicle
liability, collision or personal accident coverage for your rental car. You
should determine if you have insurance coverage prior to pick-up.

The rental partner will charge the driver at
the rental counter for optional items you add to your reservation, including
any child seats or special requests.

Only the driver will be able to pick up the
rental car at the counter and must present a valid driver's license in
his/her name. An additional driver can be added at the counter for a fee
payable directly to the rental car company.

Prices are not guaranteed until booking is
completed.

The driver will be required to present a valid
credit or debit card in his/her name for the refundable security deposit.

The amount for the refundable security deposit
required at the rental counter depends upon the car type, rental period, and

understand that your reservation was cancelled without your approval. We truly apologize for the inconvenience. As mentioned on the emails that were sent out, the property incorrectly loaded a rate of $24.00 per night. The hotel stated that this rate was not correct, and they are not honoring any reservations booked at this price. As a result, all reservations booked at the incorrect rate cannot be fulfilled and the hotel is cancelling these bookings. This issue was caused by the hotel and all bookings, regardless of where they were placed, will not be honored by them.   As soon as we received this information, Priceline sent emails advising that reservations have been cancelled. Additionally, for each cancelled reservation, we included a 15% coupon that can be applied on a future Hotel Express Deals reservation. These coupons are valid for 1 year and will expires on April 01, 2018.   Also, as an additional compensation for each cancelled booking, we can offer a $25 credit towards a future published hotel reservation purchased on our website. I am rejecting this response because:I still have not received anything, they let me know it would be one day. I let the weekend pass because of my bank, but [redacted] said if it was processed Thursday it should be in my account by now . I need the money, the $100 in fees I was charged came out of my bill money . Has this been processed ? I'm so upset and disappointed in the way Priceline has handled this entire situation
