*We wanted to take this time to contact you regarding your reservation with [redacted] for Trip Number [redacted] We are writing to let you know that we received your Revdex.com concern in our Executive Offices. As we understand, you are not happy with the resolution that was provided and stated that you were not advised prior to booking that the reservation was non-refundable.  We understand that you are not happy with this policy, and we really wish that we could give you the resolution that you are looking for; however, your reservation is truly non-refundable. On the contact page presented prior to purchase it did state, "Free cancellation until 11:29pm EDT on 11/4/2016. After that time standard airline cancellation and change penalties apply [redacted] full fare rules and baggage fees." The 'full fare rules' was a hyper link that is able to be selected showing the full fare rules. I am rejecting this response because:I just got off work and I read this email that was just sent 4 hours ago. It says I have seven days to respond. I then have an email saying the complaint is closed because I didn't respond? Also, how is it that they refunded one room and not the other. They were being used together, so if we are unable to stay at the hotel because of the extreme health issues and their refusal to correct, how would we use the other room? This is being referred to as an exception being made for our hotel cancellation. I am not sure what the exception is. This was purchased under false advertising. They were unable or un willing to deliver a room we  could stay in. I am not talking of minor things. I did not want to leave, we had no option. I also had to go to great expense to locate and secure rooms at another hotel on such short notice. All of this in the middle of the night, traveling with a young child.

As we understand, you chose to dispute your purchase with your bank/card provider
because the return flight was not convenient for your travel needs, and you are
now requesting a refund or credit for future travel.
 
We have reviewed your reservation
and found that you selected our Name Your Own Price option and agreed to
certain terms and conditions, including the following condition:
 
·       "The airlines will
choose your flight times. Your trip will start between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. and
you will arrive no later than 12:30 a.m. the next day."
 
Our record shows that you
received an itinerary within the specified time. Your return flight was
scheduled to depart from La Guardia Airport at 6:15 a.m. on May 17, 2015.
 
In addition, your contract also
stated the terms and conditions of your purchase, including the restrictions
that the ticket is non-refundable, non-transferable and non-changeable. By
submitting the request for booking, you indicated that you agree to the terms
and conditions stipulated; and, allowed our system to select the flight times
for you.
 
On February 28, 2015, we received
a message from your bank/card provider advising that the charge was disputed.
Our system automatically cancelled the reservation once the dispute was
initiated, as it is an indication that there is no intention to pay for the
purchase.
 
 
We are sorry that your selected
reservation is non-refundable, and we are unable to reinstate a bank/card disputed
reservation.

I am rejecting this response because:  The car was not picked up nor was it returned.  [redacted]l - Dominik was very helpful and even tried to reason with a customer service agent at Priceline.  He has seen this happen many times in the past.  He was very helpful in getting us a vehicle but is it was not through Priceline.  My son in law rented a car under his name and still has it.  I will not be returned until October 15th.   The wording you describe is not clear - it was not understood at the time of booking.  By your response, you are expecting that we have the document interpreted at the time of booking.  Terrible customer service.

I am rejecting this response because: I never authorized a charge in the amount of $59.60 nor was there ever a conversation with me regarding an additional charge.  That is at best unethical and not in accordance with the disclosure requirement to process a charge.  At no such time did priceline staff read to me a disclosure which I would have had to response with a yes or no.  No company is above the law and therefore I am perplexed as to how you casually responded.  As Vice President of a Credit Union I am painfully aware of what it takes to ensure that we are in compliance with all Regs and State Mandated regulations regarding handling of any payment mode.  Thank you for your response but this is is a company that I will never use again!

We are sorry to hear about your loss, and we understand your request for a refund of the fee you were charged to cancel your reservation.  We apologize for any confusion; however, your cancellation policy stated the option to cancel your reservation for a full refund was only available prior to noon on October 12, 2016. Because you booked the reservation after that time, the option to cancel for a full refund was no longer available for the rate that you selected. The cancellation policy was presented to you prior to booking the reservation, and it indicated to us that you agreed to these terms when you chose to proceed with your purchase.  As a compromise, we reached out to our hotel partner to request for an exception on your behalf. I am rejecting this response because: It is not acceptable.  I expect cleanness and safety from health risk when I book through Priceline and this was not done.  I expect the reminding amount refunded.  35% is not an acceptable refund amount.
