I am writing you today regarding your hotel reservation at the [redacted] under Trip Number[redacted]. I am writing to let you know that we have received your Revdex.com complaint in our Executive Offices. We apologize that you were unhappy with your hotel...
accommodations. We evaluate each participating hotel on many criteria, including cleanliness, guest satisfaction, dcor, etc. From your comments, it appears that your hotel fell short of your expectations. We appreciate your feedback and we have contacted the appropriate people at the hotel to share your concerns. However, the hotel advised that they do not show a record in their system that you checked out early. As what we have advised you on the phone today, you may respond to this email and attach a proof of the charge from the other hotel where you mentioned you ended up staying the night in question. If and when we receive this, we can try researching this further to see if any reconsiderations can be made to issue a refund on your reservation. Sincerely, [redacted] Executive Offices
We sincerely apologize for the difficulty you encountered. We understand you would like to verify the charges on your account. We reviewed your information; however, we were unable to locate any information using your name, phone number and email address. To review your concern further, kindly...
provide us with the phone number, time and date when you called customer service, your 11 digit Trip Number, any other email address or phone number's used to submit your request, the specific amounts charged and when it posted on your account, any other names your reservation was booked under would be extremely helpful. Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.However, if I understand the mission of the Revdex.com it is to be a check and balance on companies taking advantage of its customers, therefore I believe my comment should stand that Priceline does not treat its customers appropriately and while they rectified my situation, they wasyed hours upon hours of my time - that's not good business and other customers should know.
Sincerely,

I have received the consumer’s additional
comments. As you requested, I have again reviewed this matter to see if we
overlooked anything that might support a more favorable conclusion. The consumer
is requesting compensation because the
hotel does not have a hot tub available to all guests. We reviewed this matter
and verified the reservation was used. The hotel advised the guests were
provided an accessible king suite with a sofa bed and an accessible tub. The
hotel does not offer a hot tub to all guests as it will depend upon the room
type reserved. The room reservation selected does not offer a hot tub as an
amenity. As a courtesy a refund in the amount
of $79.04, which represents a 20% refund, was issued to the consumer. We are
unable to provide any further refunds.
Sincerely,
N.

Dear Mr. [redacted],
Thank you for taking the time to contact us regarding
your airline reservation for Trip Number [redacted].
We are writing to let you know that we have received your
Revdex.com concern in our Executive Offices.
We understand...
that the passenger was unable to use the
reservation due to passport issues. When your request was accepted, we stated
on your itinerary on our website that all passengers need to bring a valid
government-issued photo ID when they check-in, or they will not be able to
board their confirmed airline.
We also sent a reminder e-mail prior to departure
advising of all stops and stated that international travelers will almost
always need a passport, and that they also might need to show some other
documentation such as a visa at the destination and in connecting cities. I
apologize for the difficulties you are having; however, your reservation cannot
be changed or cancelled.
I know you expect a different answer; however, there are
no other options that I can offer because of the restrictions.

Complaint: [redacted]
Dear N. Dangelo:
I am rejecting this response because you continue to ignore my original concerns, fail to provide proof or information showing that Priceline has made any changes, provide no reassurance that these same violations of customer privacy will not continue in the future, and fail to show that Priceline is in compliance with Revdex.com guidelines governing the use of customs' private information. I am also rejecting this response because none of the three attachments that you mentioned were actually attached to the e-mail.In my previous e-mail I said:
·
I would like Priceline to change
its policy of using customers' e-mail addresses to send junk e-mails against
customers' will.
·
I would like Priceline not to
add customers' e-mail addresses to Priceline's e-mail list when a customer
explicitly opts out.
And you replied: "Unless
a Priceline customer tells us that he/she does not want to receive email
offers, Priceline will occasionally send promotion coupons, marketing material
or other special travel deals."Your response fails to address my clearly articulated original concern. While purchasing my ticket online, I told Priceline that I did not want to receive email offers by unselecting the box next to "Yes! I would like to receive exclusive promotions, coupons, and discounts from priceline.com." (See attached "Priceline Op-Out Button.") And yet Priceline added me to their promotions e-mail list against my express wishes. In addition, your response fails to address the fact that, in my previous e-mail, I attached a chat transcript with Bernice, a Priceline customer service agent, who explained: "When you make a reservation in our website the system
automatically sends you those promotional emails, even if you choose to
not receive them." What Bernice says directly contradicts your claim that "Unless
a Priceline customer tells us that he/she does not want to receive email
offers, Priceline will occasionally send promotion coupons, marketing material
or other special travel deals." Either Bernice is lying, or you are lying. Because I deselected the "Yes! I would like to receive exclusive promotions" box when I purchased my ticket, all evidence points to your lying. In my previous e-mail I also say:·
I would like all Priceline
e-mails to contain unsubscribe links. You also say in your reply: "Please
note that the unsubscribe link is located in every promotional email about
news/special offers/travel deals." This, however, is untrue. Please see the attached promotional e-mail ("Priceline Promotional Email with No Unsubscribe") sent to me by Priceline on April 18, 2016, which contains no unsubscribe link. At the bottom, the e-mail says "This is a promotional email from Priceline.com," and there is no unsubscribe link. Once again, your claim that "the unsubscribe link is located in every promotional email about
news/special offers/travel deals" is demonstrably a lie.You go on to repeat yet again: "In
accordance with Revdex.com guidelines, Priceline promotional emails (promotion
coupons, marketing material or other special travel deals), provide easily-accessible,
unsubscribe options from future emails to all customers." And yet the attached April 18 promotional e-mail, without an unsubscribe link, demonstrates your claim to be false. And so my concerns remain unchanged:·
I would like Priceline to change
its policy of using customers' e-mail addresses to send junk e-mails against
customers' will.
·
I would like Priceline not to
add customers' e-mail addresses to Priceline's e-mail list when a customer
explicitly opts out.
·
I would like all Priceline
e-mails to contain unsubscribe links.
·
I would like Priceline customers
to be able to manage their e-mail preferences without being forced to set up a
Priceline account.
·
I would like Priceline to be
fined and/or censured for explicit, deliberate lying and customer deception
aimed at increasing Priceline's profits to the detriment of customer privacy
and customer rights.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:First, I also have a screen shot of my search engine which clearly shows 7/22 – 7/26/15 as my travel dates I was searching for on June 22 and still shows the correct dates I entered on 6/22 and many other days prior since I have been looking for travel on these days for some time now. Second, when I called about the incorrect dates, it was in no way indicated that I had 24 hours to cancel these flights due to the wrong dates. I learned this after the fact from the airlines, at which time I called Priceline again to clear this up and wanted an explanation as to why my flights were not cancelled within the timeframe as I cannot use or want the flights they made. I would of cancelled this flight instead of looking for a resolution to this issue had I known that option was available. Trying to resolve this is costing me much more than if I would have cancelled my flights and gone somewhere else to make my reservations for the dates I actually needs to travel. The only option I was given was to change my flights with the additional charges that I would incur. I would of made reservations at those rates a long time prior, but I was still searching for better flight prices, which I thought I found with Priceline.Part of my complaint about this whole situation is the deceitful practices of Priceline. I am not the fist consumer who has suffered from it and I am sure I won’t be the last. It is time that someone put a stop to this practice. A consumer enters the dates they needs as I did and Priceline makes this great offer that the consumer clicks to accept; however, Priceline now changes the dates once it moves to their system through the third party site. As I indicated, I entered my dates for 7/22 – 7/26/15 and received a list of offers including an offer for $372 which I immediately clicked, but unfortunately the offer did not go thru their website as I requested. With their deceitful, unethical, tricky, sneaky ways, they confirm me with dates I did not enter for the $372. As I indicated I too have a printout of what my search engine showed and continues to show, which are the dates I selected of 7/22 – 7/26/15. I have not made any other travel searches so my search engine continues to show the dates I entered. My history on my computer also shows this fact. If needed, I will check to see if there is a way to retrieve the history to prove this fact, wherein it would show that I have been looking for the exact same dates for many, many weeks (if not months). The attached screen shot was the shot I took during my initial conversation with the Priceline representative. Shown here with the address I was provided with when I was unable to speak to a supervisor (was told none was available), so I requested an address to send a written complaint. I told the representative that my screen still showed the dates I entered and that I was looking at it. I am not complaining about [redacted] as they continue to show the dates I entered and requested, but I am complaining about Priceline’s deceitful practices and the inappropriate activities and actions as they deceive consumers into travel and other items by offering a great price, but not the producing what the consumer is actually requesting. This is not the first time they have done this. I have learned of many similar cases after I started to search complaints from other consumers online. This is one of their standard deceitful practices, and they continue to get away with these fraudulent practices at the expense of the consumer. It is unfair that they can continue to be allowed to behave indecently and get away with it because they claim they have “proof” when their systems converts the information a consumer enters to what Priceline wants to offer rather than what the consumer has requested. At this point, I would still like to cancel everything and get a full refund as I should have received when I initially called

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:They don't even know what bags were being carried by the 2 travelers (my parents). They are making their judgement without analyzing the situation. Also, they are not providing me a direct phone number to reach out to them. The call was disconnected while we were discussing and I was explaining my point. I tried to reach back to them and it is directed to their 1-800 number which will never allow you to speak to a representative handling the case. They are making the process complicated instead of refunding $200 which should not have been charged at the first place. The back pack they are mentioning is of the size of a small hand bag which fits inside the carry-on bag. [redacted] took advantage of my parents who could not speak in English and charged them for the carry-on bag the price of a check-in bag.I would request Revdex.com to escalate this issue to a senior authority with Priceline/[redacted] since this is not going anywhere.Sincerely,
[redacted]
Our record indicates that a refund request in the amount of $35.47 is being processed and will be issued to the credit card used to make the purchase.
