The parking fee is an incidental fee which is onlycharged to customers who park their vehicles at the hotel. We statedduring the booking process that a credit card is required at check-infor incidentals, hotel imposed fees, that could be mandatory (e.g.,resort fees) or optional (parking, minibar etc.), and deposits. Thisinformation was provided on your contract page prior to booking.Your reservation is truly restricted which is non-cancelable andnon-refundable. However, as a gesture of goodwill, we can make anexception and cancel your reservation for a refund. We are sorry to learn that you were not able to take your flight even after [redacted] made adjustments on it due to family emergency.   We have disclosed that the reservation is non-refundable and non-changeable upon booking. We see that you have purchased travel insurance. Travel...

insurance protects you and your travel companions against unforeseen illness, injury, job loss, baggage loss, and more. You must contact the travel insurance provider to file a claim and they may request documents to supplement your request.   We have reviewed your reservation and found that [redacted] has suspended your ticket and tagged you as no show. Suspended status inhibits us to do any action on the ticket. We requested [redacted] to remove the suspended status and switch it to Open for Use, luckily, they approved our request.   We are glad to let you know that we will refund you in full as a one-time courtesy because we value your business. A refund of 164.99 USD was processed today, December 7, 2017. The refund will be processed through our system within one business day. Your bank will post the refund to your account. received the consumer’s additional comments.  As you requested, we have
again reviewed this matter to see if we overlooked anything that might support
a more favorable conclusion. 
According
to the consumer, she/he selected the purchase of a Name Your Own Price hotel, and
did not want the [redacted] Place to be in her search. The consumer states
that Priceline did not disclose that the search would include the area where
the [redacted] is located. The consumer alleges bait and switch tactics.
For
your review, attached hereto, please find a screen shot from the Name Your Own Price
website of area #13 labeled Union Square East Nob Hill,
where Priceline discloses the following:
·      We will find you a room in a hotel willing to
agree to your price in the
shaded area.
As you will note, the shaded area for map #13 labeled Union Square East Nob Hill, lists
Powel Street to the west and Sutter Street to the north of the [redacted].
I have also attached a screenshot of the google
map referencing the location of the [redacted] property clearly indicating
that the property is located within the boundaries of the shaded area of the
mapping guidelines for area #13 labeled Union Square
East Nob Hill.

As you requested, I have again reviewed this matter to see if we
overlooked anything that might support a more favorable conclusion. Unfortunately,
there is nothing we can add to what has already been stated in our previous
correspondence. The consumer
chose to visit our Published Price website where consumers have the opportunity
to review and compare hotel room rates prior to selecting and purchasing hotel
room reservations. The consumer selected a specific hotel property from a list
of participating properties, at the disclosed
room rate, including taxes and fees. Upon hotel room check-in/out the hotel representative provided the consumer with the lower
negotiated room rate established between priceline.com and the hotel, which is
not available to the public. Priceline.com is a travel agent and as such, makes
hotel room rates available on behalf of the hotels. Just like every other
business, we receive reduced rates because we sell in large volume, and if you
compare our rates, you will find them to be very competitive. We strive to
offer customers the best alternatives for saving money while at the same time
maintaining profitability.

provided the consumer with his/her selected hotel, at the disclosed summary of
charges. We apologize if the consumer is disappointed with the difference in
rates; however, priceline will not be able to offer a refund for the difference

cancellation policy would not have allowed any refunds had you called us to

However, we were able to get approval from the hotel to
make a one-time exception to refund your unused reservation in full. The refund

check the status of your refund after a few business days, please contact your

The screen shot provided by the consumer listing a $1462 rate, only lists an outbound flight and no return flight. This itinerary does not match the itinerary selected and purchased by the consumer. We searched for the same itinerary on [redacted] Airlines' website, and found that the total cost for the identical RT itinerary available is $ 2,047.80, which is higher than the price the consumer selected and purchased. room and bed type was not guaranteed for your reservation. We stated during the

bed types (King, Queen, 2 Doubles, etc.) or other special needs (including
preferences for smoking or non-smoking rooms) should be requested through your
confirmed hotel and cannot be guaranteed.
I contacted the [redacted] Oceanfront Resort
and they are unable to guarantee an ocean front view room because it depends on
availability upon check in. The hotel also advised that if an ocean front view
room is available, there will be an upgrade fee which is payable directly to
the hotel. You will be charged by the hotel for the upgrade and we will be
unable to refund their charge. If you need further information regarding the
upgrade fee, please contact the hotel directly.
The reservation that you purchased is truly restricted
which is non changeable, non cancelable and non refundable. This information
was provided on the contract page that you reviewed and initialed prior to
booking. I apologize; however, I will be unable to change or cancel your
reservation.
