It sounds like Staples is refusing to honor the advertised price. Since Staples does not show a limited amount in its advertising and shows a beginning and ending date for the sale they should be bound to honor the advertised price during this sale. Furthermore, the day after the sale the item showed up on their website at full price. This is clearly bait & switch advertising.

The defective product must be returned within 14 days for a valid return. The customer will need to contact the manufacturer at this time as it is covered under their warranty still. Staples is unable to accept a return or replacement for the computer as per our terms and conditions.

Staples apologizes for any inconvenience the customer has experienced. We determined that there was a problem in our ordering system and the customer was able to pick up his printer in our store this morning.

Staples position has not changed on this matter. The customer is welcome to contact the store to make arrangements to bring in his computer for further service with this matter.

January 2014 Staples issued a refund for a 2 year extended warranty purchased in 2011 as a 1 time courtesy. He said he was given incorrect information. The notes state the customer was advised the warranty is effective on the date of purchase, same as the manufacturer. No further replacements or refunds will be issued.

We apologize for the inconvenience the customer has experienced. The customer did not qualify for the rebate in question and this was communicated to him upon contacting our President's Office. As a means of resolution, Mr. [redacted] was offered the $15.00 Staples Coupon, which he accepted.
