Staples apologizes for the customer's experience and frustration regarding this issueIt is Staples policy that if the customer used a credit card or a debit card(without using the pin) that the purchase be refunded to the original method of paymentIf that card is not available the store is required to issue the refund in the form of a Staples Gift cardThe store's GM will be contacting the customer to arrange the refundAgain Staples apologizes for the frustration the customer has experienced

Staples apologizes for the inconvenienceWe have tried locating a record of any type of order from this customer that would reflect this amount, and could not locate a transaction with the information the customer providedWe advise that the customer initiate a dispute for this charge to ensure that they are only being charged for items they purchased

We contacted the customer to apologize for all the troubles they have been through with the [redacted] gift cardWe advised the customer that we did some research and found out the card that was given to them was post voided and the card that was activated was accidentally kept by the storeWe informed the customer to return back to the store with the receipt so we can provide them with a replacement cardThe customer indicated they will return in two weeks as they will be out of town

Staples apologizes for any inconvenience the customer experiencedUnfortunately, we were unable to verify the billing information provided on the orderAs stated in our terms and conditions, the receipt of an email order confirmation is simply a recognition that we have received your requested order, and does not constitute an offer to sellWe reserve the right to limit the quantity of any item sold, or prohibit a sale altogether, including but not limited to prohibiting sales to resellersThe customer can replace the order, however they will need to speak to Operations Support to verify billing information beforehand

We have reached out to the customer and determined that the item they wished to purchase is not a clearance item at the location the customer specifiedClearance items are not company wide, and vary from store to storeThe coupon states that the tablet in question must be clearance in order to be usedFurther, the customer points to an online listing of the item, which does show clearance, however, per the terms of our Price Match Guarantee, clearance items cannot be price matchedCoupons are also taken into account when executing a price matchWe apologize for the inconvenience causedWe would not be able to honor the coupon on the ineligible item

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] Please add your rejection comments below The ad that was attached in Staples response is a complete fabrication and alteration of the ad & terms AFTER the fact in an attempt to elude the real facts of the matter and real ad which I took a picture of while in store as posted on the display counterIt clearly shows the real unaltered terms at time of purchaseThe ads Staples attached did not exist nor were ever posted in the store Please do not insult my intelligence by attempting to show me a fake ad with fake terms which are not even spelled correctly nor grammatically correct The fact of the matter is that it was Staples responsibility to include any and all exclusions on the actual rebate form under the terms and conditions and have it proofread by legal to make sure all of their "T's are crossed and I's are dotted" beforehand when dealing with such a large amountYou cannot go back after the fact and alter terms as you see fit when customers have purchased the product already in good faith based on total end cost, and directly handed a rebate form with no such exclusions and verbally told it was valid as well at time of purchaseThis is in addition to the form being publically posted on Staples own rebate website which also clearly stated the requirements and terms as has previously been provided and complied withMy position on the matter of advertising & bait and switch still standsIf Staples decides to do the right thing and honor the additional rebate as entitled to, as advertised by staples employees and website and sends the full rebate amount totaling $for the purchase of phones, I will consider the matter closedOtherwise, I will proceed as planned in my previous responseI sincerely hope you take the matter seriously and send the rebate dueOnly then will I consider the matter closed and go away Regards, [redacted] ***
