The glass top is the correct part we have just changed the design Also, the one she had does have a defect so the tech is ordering another part and will install it

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowI have been in contact with [redacted] via emailSo far the only offer they can make is for me to have to buy at a reduced dollar value an oven of my choosingThe cost out of my pocket far outweighs the cost GE would incur to provide me the oven at that value given everything has been on deep sales plus I get employee pricingSo they have offered basically for me to buy a dollar oven for dollars (exact replacement) or for I can buy a similar one valued at about GE will claim the oven they offer is priced at dollars which to a person that doesn't work for GE would be true normallyThis past week they had been on sale reduced remarkably, plus additional due to the 4th of julyMaking the oven I own if I repurchased today, delivered and installed at Not I would've expected them to know this and offer the price based on what it would cost me and not them.Normally this would be a decent exchange because I can sell my dollar oven that is years old and use the funds to then turn around and buy the oven of my choice but they have also told me that they have to take and scrap the old oneNot to do any RCA to determine cause of failure but just to scrapMaking the whole offer of reduced pricing even worseI cant see coming out of pocket any more than I haveAll im asking for is a working correctly oven, out of the boxThis one has not.In addition to the above offer, I now have attached photos of the failed components from the ovenYou can see the spreader which is metal has melted onto the igniter causing it to failWho knows how long that has been going onSo now my case becomes not only a failing part issue but it becomes a safety issue because molten metal is a serious fire hazard.GE now knows they have melting components in their ovensI expected more of a concern from them on this issueSo far nothingIf by chance these parts fail again I would then be required to raise a safety issue.In the meantime since GE is not offering to replace the oven free of charge, the other request to satisfy this problem (now with the exception of the melting metal components) was to offer as long as I am the owner of the oven lifetime free replacement including parts and labor for issues surrounding the failing ignitersIf they are so very confident in the repair they had made at this time, its a very simple approval to provide this warrantyAnd yes its only to the igniter parts replaced as part of this issue.If this is acceptable to them, [redacted] can email me a warranty sheet stating those factsThis case can then be closed as satisfiedIf not, then I guess it will remain as an unresolved issueUntil the next failure Regards, [redacted]

At which point I told them that was simply absurdMy husband was able to talk to the manager at GE, despite being told that they wouldn'tI still cannot believe that this company is choosing to believe the lie of a technician over a loyal customer that nearly had their home explode due to a faulty applianceIt indeed is a very sad situation Regards, [redacted]
