Sun Chemical Corporation Reviews (1959)

Thank-you for the opportunity to review this consumer’s situation.  Even though a GE Technician has determined that the 1 to 2 drops after dispensing operation is normal, GE replaced the water valve on the consumers refrigerator on 9/21/15.  Water pressure can also play a factor in...

when and how much a dispenser may drip.  The consumer had his water pressure tested and was within range on the low end which would explain the delayed 1 or 2 drops after usage.  GE has done all that it can do to satisfy the consumer and see no issue in the operation of the unit. Please contact me if there are any other questions or if I may be of further assistance.

in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I accept the response of replacing the whole unit. But GE is not taking responsibility for the food loss. And now all the time and hassle of having to deal with calling and having to go grocery shopping 3 times a day for the last 7 days. Not to mention, I have gone through 80+ pounds of ice. GE needs to step up and offer me more than just the $100 in food loss I had. There is NO reason GE should only offer me $100 when there was well over $300 in food in my freezer and fridge. If GE can't stand by their product, this is going to news stations and I will keep calling until I get a hold of someone in their corporate office.

I have talked to this consumer and listened to her description of the spin cycle and confirmed the unit is working as designed.  This is what our technician explained to he when we ran a service call as well.  I will pass her comments on to our design team because she thinks the unit...

spins too fast.

Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer’s situation.   I spoke with [redacted] and agreed to reimburse her for the GE range part and labor totaling $308.69.  A check will be processed and mailed to the consumer.    Please contact me if there are any other questions...

or if I may be of further assistance.   [redacted]

I stand my ground on the wanting the upgrade fee back of $600. GE would spend the same amount paying a contractor that I am suppose to find and be reimbursed for. As well as sending their tech out....  So again I asked for my upgrade fee back. We already spent $6700 on your stove.

I'm very much aware that the unit was picked up. It was delivered back to me on 7/8 with the same problem I've had four times now -- a bad condenser that was replaced. These two units have now had THREE condensers each. I bought them in 2014. Furthermore, customer service from GE as a whole has been atrocious. At what point do we decide enough is enough? I am asking for new units to replace these. At this point, how much have you all spent fixing these bad units? How much confidence can I really have that I won't have the same exact problem next year, making it three years in a row? I paid too much money to spend half my summers with no AC and constantly on the phone frustrated to GE.  Obviously there is a problem with these units (at least, I should hope that GE doesn't normally manufacture such shoddy appliances). Just replace them. This is ridiculous

I was issued a voucher for $250. I purchased my new product, and mailed my paperwork to GE including the top portion of a Good Will Certificate for the amount of $250. Then I received a second voucher under the exact same reference number for only $50.  GE has admitted to making a mistake and will not issue the proper amount. I have asked multiple times for someone in a supervisory role to obtain my submission paperwork because the voucher was included. GE has refused and instead put the burden on me to prove that was the case. They have the paperwork. The attachment shows that I have 2 vouchers with the same reference number. After I mailed my paperwork in, GE changed the amount in their system so that today it now reflects the lesser amount. This is unacceptable and very poor business practices.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I want the cooktop of BRAND NEW GE stove with defective, bubbling paint replaced.  Paint has been evaluated by two different GE appliance repairmen, and replacement of cooktop would resolve the warranty issue.  Attached are photos I took of bubbling paint.

Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer’s situation.   I left a voicemail with [redacted] today 3/31/17 explaining that we will stand behind the decision of our Consumer Relations department. We will not be reimbursing [redacted] for the home call fee and labor from the service call on...

3/29/17.  The consumer’s microwave will be 12 years old in June and only comes with a 1 year warranty.  The part was at no charge, but the consumer is responsible for the home call fee and labor.   Please contact me if there are any other questions or if I may be of further assistance.   [redacted]

I left work early once to arrive for an appointment only to find that once the repair person left early, and the on a separate occasion I received a note that GE had sent the repair person to my house on the wrong day. GE may send a repair person on Friday, March 18th after 3:30pm. I will be there waiting after 3:30pm. I sincerely hope GE will pay for any further damage for my having to use the washer in a depleted state for the past month.

Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer’s situation. Please be advised that GE has agreed to reimburse Mr. [redacted] in the form of a check. The check has been processed and he should receive it within 7-10 business days. Please contact me if there are any other questions or if...

and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Thanks for the fan replacement but the fan is being changed every one-two years, so logically that should not be the root cause of the problem. And when the problem reoccurs, all our food would ruin again and we will not be able to use our refrigerator until the repair.  We are requesting a permanent solution.

They have called while I was sleeping.  I do not want to just hear "THIS IS BUSINESS"  Something is wrong when an $8.00 part cost me $236 with the maintenance call is EXTRA and not included in the bill as part of the cost after being told it was..

Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer's situation. I have spoken with Ms. [redacted] and apologized for the trouble she's had with her GE gas range. Although the unit is out of warranty, I agreed to honor a 25% discount on any parts or labor necessary to repair the unit.  Ms....

[redacted] is aware that she is responsible for the home call/trip fee in the amount of $99.95.  Her service call is currently scheduled for 7/28.  I told her that I would follow up with her after the repair.  She has accepted this as a fair resolution to her complaint. Please contact me if you have any further questions or concerns. Sincerely, [redacted]Program Manager
