We have been buying domians with Go Daddy under Account no [redacted] since We have a lot of doamins with this companyFor some reason they have reset ll the domain settings to auto renew when every time we purchase a domain we select one year and not select auto renewThe person we just talked today at 5:am PST, 2/13/was the most manipulative, deceptive and threatening typical of pushy telemarketersWe told him we are going to dispute the charges but he wants us to keep calling back to cancel, hence to let charges go throughI don't know how long this person works at Go Daddy but we have been as long time customers telling us deceptive tactics that everything is set to auto renewWe also get calls everyday with this telemarketers from Go Daddy leaving messages when we don't want them harassing us
I can't believe but they are actually spying on customers I signed up for a simple domain name for my part time business I really didn't need a website but I thought having online presence would make me look more professional Since I work full time, I don't even have much time to devote to my side hustle Still I paid for webhosting from GoDaddy I set up a free website from another company and forwarded the domain I only had my domain for 1year During the year, I really didn't use the website and didn't need the domain I got free websites thru my professional associations and that was good enough for what I needed I even started using the other websites before my year was over When the year was up I decided I would not renew Go Daddy charged my credit card It sat for a few days in pending charges so I was able to cancel it Here's the thing During the previous year, I lost my credit card and had to get a new one I never gave Go Daddy my new credit card number So how did they get it or how were they able to charge my new card? I can only think that they have some spy program on my computer and got it thru my online purchases I don't know how they got it I never gave it to them This has never happen to me before but I am getting a new computer asap
[redacted] Thank you for chatting with us! How may I help you today? [redacted] 1:am hello [redacted] I still have the email problem and now it's starting to cost me money 1:am please let me know what to do to solve it once and for all [redacted] I'm sorry to hear thatWhat is the email address in question? [redacted] anything @welikewifi.com Based on your current MX record settings, we determined that your email is currently set up to work with a different providerYou cannot manage third party email accounts from the Workspace Control Center [redacted] Ok, let me take a look at the account I am showing per the notes from earlier today that SRV records needed to be removed in order to fix this issueI am showing that was done but that can take up to to hours to take effect [redacted] sure then explain this please: why hours ago I could send email from these accounts but not receive it and now I am back to not sending nor receiving? [redacted] That could be due to propagation as during that time DNS is hitting different servers across the world at any given point in timeOnce it has fully propagated it would be expected to work correctly at all times [redacted] right so through no fault of my own I lost email today at 10.30am local time and the official answer is that I may recover it sometime in the next two days, correct? [redacted] If an email does not reach the server there would not be a way to recover it after the factIt would have to be resent after it is working correctly [redacted] sure so, again: through no fault of my own I lost email today at 10.30am local time and the official answer is that I may recover it sometime in the next two days, correct? [redacted] Yes, that's correct [redacted] understood now let's enter the compensation part of the conversation because if this is not my doing then it is the supplier's which would be godaddy please let me know what happens now [redacted] You are welcome to check with us after your email is working to see if we are able to help you out in any way but that is not something we are able to review until after the fact [redacted] let's assume we are at that point already what happens with this loss day of business due towhoknowswhatreason? [redacted] Well we would need to review the account after your email is working again to be able to review whether we are able to assist with any compensationSince it can take to hours to propagate I would recommend to contact us after that time so we can look at the account at that time [redacted] right seems we have a problem of communication let's say the email is working let's say everything is superb I am so happy but what happens with compensating the loss of business, time of my colleagues, and so on that was caused by this, again, no fault of a humble paying customer if this is a question you cannot answer, by all means waste no time and put me in touch with whomever can but I think the question is rather simple and answerable there is no need to deflect to a future moment in time and hope I will forget the whole thing while I get busy with coping with my losses [redacted] I have reviewed this with my supervisor and our policy is that you would need to contact us again once everything is up and runningI can't guarantee that we would be able to provide compensation but there are certain things that would need to be looked into once the email is working again based on how long it was down and what the specific cause was [redacted] aha, so you mean to say that the cause is not yet clear? I thought it was [redacted] I am not stating that, however I was not the one who assisted you when the cause was determined so additional review may need to be done at that time [redacted] great I was under the impression that the cause was clearSeems that was not logged as suchCould you please then make perfectly clear to me what the cause and culpable of this issue is? In no uncertain term, pleaseIt's important for the Revdex.com

Hello! I was told in the clearest terms that I could cancel my multi-year contract at anytime for a full refund to my credit card When I actually made the cancellation, I was informed that the refund would only be made to my GoDaddy account I was told that this was in the 'fine print.' I requested a full refund to my credit card and was refused Thank you, Robert Orchanian
I have three Deluxe Web Hosting Linux plans with Godaddy and had these for a long time, around years Godaddy takes pre-approved payments for these plans directly from Paypal every month through a Paypal agreementThe base price was set at USD $8.99/mo I use many services of Godaddy and receive an overload of notifications from them, which is nice to have The prices never really increased By paying attention to emails I had received, it came to my attention that Godaddy was slowly and quietly gauging the prices for these services by almost 100%, without any notification in advance Even in the emails where I get billed, there is a tiny little sentence that states : "We're changing the prices for some of our web hosting plansClick here to see if this impacts you." However, nothing in the headline, or in the upper body of the email suggests there is any kind of price increase This means Godaddy quietly increases the prices by almost 100% (the fee is USD $13:99/

Negative I have been a Go Daddy customer for more than years now and I am very very unsatisfied with their policies and their serviceThey are always looking to make money in every way possibleTheir policies are very unfriendly to small business and they should be ashamed of itOne recent example I give is about my email hosting plan I was a subscriber or their old 'Website Builder' for almost years now, however limiting, expensive and frustrating it was, I was putting up with it as I am a one man small business and with my limited time and resources, I never felt that it was worth my time to spend more time criticizing itSo, when they offered their new "Go Central" plan, I signed up and it seemed way more flexible and had much better UIWhile switching, the rep never told me that the email plan I had was linked to my old website builder plan and that switching from that would make me lose my access to my business email and email address itself Thankfully, I called up again and the new rep clarified this and made me sign up for another stand alone email plan for $for years - basic email etc - I wasnt too happy as I had free email before and now I was paying for this separately as wellI still went ahead as no business can survive without an email - so you Go Daddy got me here - v clever If this wasnt enough, I called them again with an unrelated issue when I was told that the email plan I had just bought was an old email server that they were planning to retire and in order to migrate to their new server, I would have to pay another $t keep my emailsI mean - "Seriously" !!!!! Since when did consumers start paying for email server migrations ?? Isnt this supposed to be something the business is supposed to provide the consumer as an ongoing infrastructure support?? I asked the rep as to what would have happened if I had not called up and known about this - how would you have charged me and he answered that it would have showed up as a pending balance in my next statementSo I pay for their new website builder, I pay for basic email and I also pay for your server migrationsI asked if all existing customers on email plans have been consented to this migration payment and he said that they have to agree to this while accepting terms and conditionsie it is all hidden in the fine print that no one ever reads and here is the golden opportunities that GoDaddy looks forShame on You You are a total rip off - taking advantage of busy small businesses who are trying to survive and stay afloat already BTW - GoDaddy always offers discounts on new services ONLY and never on renewals - once you sign up for one, you are screwed because when that comes up for renewal, the next time around - you will never see a discount again Stop your advertising Go Daddy- you are not small business friendlyUtterly and deeply regret my decision to having bought the domain and the web hosting plan with you
Today I tried to transfer all of my domains to my new registrarI contacted GoDaddy and chatted with an online tech to make sure I was doing everything properlyAfter I followed all of the steps and requested the transfers, I approved them with my new registrar and paid the feesThen I started receiving denials from GoDaddy, stating the I must wait another days to transfer because I made changes to my accountThe changes I made were requested by GoDaddy, as well as required per business purposes, including updating the email address and name and credit card for billing purposes I called and spoke with Jessica who advised me to submit my request for them to be unlocked so that I can proceed with the transfer and avoid having to renew my domains with GoDaddy (which would also occur within the same days lock down)This is an unscrupulous practice that can be removed by GoDaddy per their discretion and is not an ICANN requirementI have had many bad experiences with GoDa
GoDaddy autorenewed a URL I ownedWithin hours of getting the auto-renewal I opened a customer service ticket telling them that I was not interested in owning the URL and to refund me in the full amountHowever, since the URL ended in '.CO' according to GoDaddy policy they cannot offer ANY refunds for auto-renewals I argued with the customer service rep for ~hour on this topic to no avail So then I deleted the URL entirely from my account hoping that would move them alongStill nothing GoDaddy is a scam - as soon as you buy a URL they turn on auto-renew and will charge you 10x the original price of the URL and then refuse to refund you
Worse email service for the last 5+ months! We are unable to send any emails from our mobile phones and the SMTP options regularly require changes on PC and Mac devicesRight now I have spent over minutes talking to Go Daddy's Customer Support in India, person named M M [redacted] and the technical team failed to resolve the issue We waited for minutes for Go Daddy's email servers to respond and we received the "The connection has timed out" issue on all domains held with Go Daddy How does Go Daddy expect its customers to use their service and continue to renew / repay for such poor experience?? Go Daddy is hurting our business as we fail to connect internally and externally with our stakeholders and clients
We were being billed for web hosting that had nothing to do with us.I was not made aware of this until a phone call from GoDaddy yesterday I had helped a friend [redacted] who is elderly and a now retired Great Dane breeder by donating a web site to her in I have multiple clients with GoDaddy and somehow my friend was being billed for an additional hosting package since This totals over 400$ US Since the site had no updates and she was paying for her hosting I had no idea what what happening until yesterdayA GD employee somehow linked [redacted] with another person the [redacted] which was a person I helped get their site onto GD a few years ago This person moved her site a few years ago and I guess never cancelled her hosting or never figured out she was not being charged [redacted] was being charged double instead The empty hosting package was never used by [redacted] and it was definitely an employee input error A man in their CEO office name
In April of I purchased a website redesign package from GoDaddy.com for $plus tax After months of back and forth with the "design team" I was unhappy with the process and results that I got I had called GoDaddy.com to ask for a refund and to take my business elsewhere at some point in June On that call they requested one more shot to try and make it right I gave them that shot to get the site designed right They tried again, and I was still very unhappy with the result I went ahead and had them publish the site as is however since I already had lined up another designer to go in and change the design, and needed to get a site up that at least had relevant and accurate content While I was unhappy with the design, the content I did have control over vsmy prior site, this is why I went ahead and had the site published even though I was not happy When GoDaddy published the site, our website was completely down for a few hours They did not let us know th
worst customer service everThe billing department is full of inept reps who each don't know what the protocol is very rude supervisorsi have been a loyal client for years NEVER once missed a payment and they make a mistake and I have to pay for itdo not want to own up to their mistakes Even the Head supervisor of small businesses, TY H [redacted] , blocked my email when I said I was going to email him my complaintThree email receipts came back as rejected.Ii emailed from another account they don't have and it went throughThey still did not help the situation Basically when they started small they were very nice and caring and attentive to customersMade you feel welcomed and appreciated, now that they have grown, they literally do not care if you are with them a month or years, all they look at you as is as a dollar sign and if its not coming in they don't careUse to be good when they were small, now that they have grown, they are HORRIBLEhowever the products are good, but I would rather use a company who has good products and also good Representatives , especially management
GoDaddy is my DNS (Domain Name Service). Even though I had already renew my subscription for 2 years, I was contacted by that organization telling me that it was time to renew my subscription. They misled me and they charged my credit card for $57.61 and with this amount my subscription according to them my subscription has been extended to the year 2024. I am a senior 81 years old and I doubt that I will be alive in that year. I had long conversations with two agents of GoDaddy and both alleged that their system does not allow to issue a refund for the subscription period 2020 to 2024. To renew my subscription until the year 2024 is I believe unethical and illegal since they knew that my subscription covered me until the year 2020.

GoDaddy auctions is part of "cheating"For paying $you will fight with automatic bidding system for last auction hourIf you see auction for example for 10$ - in last hour automatic bidding will play with you in game you can win only if ready to spend thousands dollars for domain(I assume there is possibility to put max amount) Do not spend your time trying to winand do not spend money for membership - it's just waste of money
I have been doing business with GO daddy for years and here lately I have had to call them at least times within the past two months My concern is that I am now having them host my website and as a result it appears every time I call, I am being told that I need an additional product or service To me it appears I am being Mis led and being bullied to pay money for products and services I don't need Case and Point, I called them on Monday March 7th to request the free business website builder which is a product that states on my account is freeI was told immediately when I called that it was not free and the gentleman informed me that I would have to pay a fee of $although I had just paid $the week before for an additional space product that I did not need After that I requested to speak with a supervisor and spoke with HaasHass informed me that the free website builder product was not freeI advised him that it states that it is free on my account and I p

worst customer service everThe billing department is full of inept reps who each don't know what the protocol is very rude supervisorsi have been a loyal client for years NEVER once missed a payment and they make a mistake and I have to pay for itdo not want to own up to their mistakes Even the Head supervisor of small businesses, TY H [redacted] , blocked my email when I said I was going to email him my complaintThree email receipts came back as rejected.Ii emailed from another account they don't have and it went throughThey still did not help the situation Basically when they started small they were very nice and caring and attentive to customersMade you feel welcomed and appreciated, now that they have grown, they literally do not care if you are with them a month or years, all they look at you as is as a dollar sign and if its not coming in they don't careUse to be good when they were small, now that they have grown, they are HORRIBLEhowever the products are good, but I would rather use a company who has good products and also good Representatives , especially management
I have three Deluxe Web Hosting Linux plans with Godaddy and had these for a long time, around 5 years. Godaddy takes pre-approved payments for these plans directly from Paypal every month through a Paypal agreement. The base price was set at USD $8.99/mo I use many services of Godaddy and receive an overload of notifications from them, which is nice to have. The prices never really increased. By paying attention to emails I had received, it came to my attention that Godaddy was slowly and quietly gauging the prices for these services by almost 100%, without any notification in advance. Even in the emails where I get billed, there is a tiny little sentence that states : "We're changing the prices for some of our web hosting plans. Click here to see if this impacts you." However, nothing in the headline, or in the upper body of the email suggests there is any kind of price increase. This means Godaddy quietly increases the prices by almost 100% (the fee is USD $13:99/
