I have purchase a service in October of last year (SSL certification) and paid in full for the whole yearSomehow because they have offered me in a chat a longer period for the certification and I told them that I would decide if I wanted to prolong the time they have cancelled my certification My website had a deletion of it's configuration therefore it was not online, so I was not able to use the SSL for that period of timeNow that I needed it I called since my programmer was not finding itThey have cancelled it without my authorization and want me to pay in full for another year not considering that they have not provided me with the service of the whole year as agreed in the purchase Their proposal is for me to loose all the money I have given to them and purchase another one for the time I have already purchased and paid without any refund I was able to talk to Donald that gave me the same informationNo amount of time or talk took us to any resolution of my mon

Unless you purchase their “privacy” product which they charge you monthly product for they will sell your email to everyone, I literally have my email, and cell phone flooded overnight with “offers” sales pitches, was even included in some ridiculous chain email who no person knew who the other people wereMany of the sites with “offers” when trying to unsubscribe showed a MalWare warningGreat job strong arming your customersHorrible customer service and protections, the chat person told me I have to but their privacy for it to take place in 2-weeksNo where on the site does it say anything about this and further more, this was after my 3rd domain purchase in over years, this purchase is the only one I had this problem with so they have certainly changed the way they do business
I have been trying for over a year to discontinue both of my web hosting services with Media Temple (owned by GoDaddy), at [redacted] ***, Los Angeles, CA Originally, the company said it would discontinue the services However, more recently they said they would only do so if I can log into their website, which I am unable to do I have even tried sending requests by certified mail, and included copies of the following as proof of my identity-- driver license, passport, Social Security card, and birth certificate But six more months have gone by without any response whatsoeverWhen I call they continue to refuse to discontinue the servicesit is absurd for the company to continue charging me for services I am not using for more than a year
GoDaddy failed to notify me properly about cessation of hosting activities, they "wiped" my business website without my knowledge and consent and did not retain a back up copy or ability to restore it As a result, I had to completely recreate my website, which took hours of my time, full payment to the webdesigner to re-create it and months of time without a website and no ability for potential customers to access same They sent one e-mail (that I can locate) to an old e-mail address notifying of website-builder renewal (no mention of hosting associated with this service) and never called to find out why my auto-renew was not working My credit card was stolen and I had to re-issue with new number My fees were prepaid with GoDaddy so I did not realize that this was one of the vendors I had not called with the ccard new number If they are hosting my website, they can simply look at the website and get all the new contact info if they are trying at all to locate me I beli

I set up monthly subscription account with GoDaddy for my Elementary School's PTA/PTO Organization. We were going to switch from a PTA to a PTO, and wanted to make sure we'd have a domain. This was last year, May 2015. It became apparent that for many reasons, we weren't able to make the change...and stuck with the PTA. Cut to today...I was reviewing some PayPal Account charges and discovered that at the end of May, I was charged a whopping $400+ for a domain, a webstore (that I never signed up for), and email. All of these charges were for items that were never used...not once. When I called today (June 28th, 2016) to try to discuss this situation...I was told it was over 30 days and there was nothing I could do. Sickened by such pathetic customer service I hung up and waited until my husband came home. After speaking to him, I really felt like surely someone would be willing to work with me....Okay...so I am outside the 30 day full refund policy (which I still think is pretty shifty), but surely the can charge me for the last 6 weeks of service, and refund the remainder. You know they will be selling the domain name right away. I also never agreed to the webstore or email addresses...but silence apparently means you give your consent to get taken. I called back a second time and spoke with another Customer Service Rep. He was very calm and pleasant...but also no help. I asked if a manager could help me. He said no. I asked if I could have write someone or bring to anyone else's attention -- was not trying to be unreasonable, was not yelling (though it would have vented some frustration), simply wanted to speak to someone that would apply common sense and work with a customer. No dice. I was told over and over that 30 days had come and gone and that's it. No opportunity for any refund, assistance, no possibility for a pro-rated solution. I just donated over $400 to GoDaddy's bottom line with no chance of discussion. How is this legal? I’m essentially being charged for a full year though I would have chosen to do it in monthly installments no webstore (we didn’t need nor agree to that) and emails are needed. All things I was charged for without consent. Go Daddy knows that I never used it .so isn’t it reasonable that I pay at most for 2 months service and get refunded the rest of the year’s premium?? At minimum...shouldn't there be a process for customers to write in to someone other than a customer service operator to discuss possibilities for coming to a compromise? I just find it really pathetic that a major company can actually charge you for something you didn't agree to or use and you have no recourse. Surely, other non-profits and schools need to be warned about this as Go Daddy sets themself up to be business that provides a inexpensive, hassle free way to get domains...and then upcharge you for products without permission and then refuses to do what is right. Stand by your product fellows, and work with customers, don't stick it to them every opportunity you can!

We have been a customer of GoDaddy since and have had a perfectly good relationship until yesterdayThat is when we received an e-mail notifying us that our web site would no longer be accessible after April due to some internal machinations at GoDaddyThe message continued that we could cure the problem either by following complex, unintelligible instructions, hiring an outside consultant or paying GoDaddy to do a “migration.” This, notwithstanding that we were induced in and to pay for domain name extensions with the offer of “free” web hosting through July Now, unless we pay GoDaddy an additional sum or hire a third party, it is GoDaddy’s intention to terminate hosting our web site more than two years earlyWe prepaid for service until July on June (Receipt for $113.55) and on July (Receipt [redacted] for $30.72)According to the GoDaddy records, our contract runs through July There are no contract provisi
We are an Australian based charity We acquired an Australian domain name (.au) through Go Daddy in We were originally billed and paid Australian Dollars Two years later (March 2016) we were invited to renew the Australian domain names for "$59.96" We telephoned the Sydney telephone number shown on the e-mail invitation (02-9355-7491) and authorised the payment of $from our credit card However, unbeknown to us, and without our knowledge or authority, Go Daddy had changed the billing currency from A$ to US$, and then debited US$to our credit card (equivalent to A$83.30) Had we known that Go Daddy had changed the billing currency from A$(AUD) to US$ (USD) or that Go Daddy would have billed us in US$, we would not have dealt with Go Daddy and would have removed the domain name to an honest organisation We contacted Go Daddy twice on April 04, and again on April 05, We were given a royal run-around, but they did say that the problem happens
I have dealt with GoDaady as a registrar for many years and held them in highest esteem until I decided to use them to host my site when my nightmare beganI am a software developer and an intranetwork engineer and have been in my profession for the last years Security Warning I started with a shared windows hosting ($/ month) on June and soon realized that their .net offering was not upto date as they claimedMy apps were written in Asp.net core I was told that they would be upgrading soon, but that never happenedAfter weeks of waiting and realizing the limitation of the shared environment and overcoming my disappointment , I moved to purchase a Virtual Private Server account on July Disappointed because they refused to give any credit towards the new purchase which I had to do due to their limitationsI chose the self managed option as I am highly experienced in my field As a rule I do a security monitoring before uploading my files when I discovered that I was a target of brute force attack On a Windows server you can see this happening on the Event Viewer when every second a login attempt is being made with different user namesThis began within 24hrs of me signing up Let me also add here that the domain name I was using was brand new and had nothing to indicating anything special was behind it When I informed GoDaddy about this, they convinced me that they would have a resolution within hrsBeing busy with everything else I came to realize on July that I was still waiting for a resolutionWhen I called them now they started a parrot like repetition saying that on a self managed server, it was my responsibility to prevent getting hacked and that their parent servers were their only concern GoDaddy's solution was for me to pay them more money so they can manage When I asked them if they would be moving my domain to a different machine, they said "NO" that was not required As much as I agree with protecting my assets, here are the problems with those statements (a) The server that I purchased exists on their physical network, the IP address is provisioned by them and to reach my server, every connection must pass through their routers & a (phantom) firewallThe attacks don't originate out of thin air as they make it seem like the machine I was given was sitting in an open field (b) So they can't answer what changes the security situation when my domain does not use a different machine I used a program called VisualRoute, day free trial and realized what a poorly configured network they have Every responsible company has a fiduciary of providing a first line of defense against Denial of Service, DDoS etcas this also affects the performance GoDaddy miserably fails in this aspect Another point to note is they do not indicate their lack of protecting you anywhere on their website nor on the phone Inter-departmental Communications break Their Customer Development Department called me as I was getting ready to ask for a full refund since I could not use their service at all due to security issues Their promise to refund turned into a phone transfer nightmare between their accounting department & the hosting department who did not honor that and start to point out my "inability" As though it's ok for this hacking to go on No higher ups to help When tying to get to a supervisor's supervisor, they will simply refuse to give a even an email address saying you have reached the end of the rope Billing Issues I also realized that when I moved on to the VPS, the sales person assured me that the shared hosting is cancelled and there was nothing else I need to do That was not true as I was charged $on July 15thI know it's a small amount but not only this would add up eventually but it's also the principle Bottomline & Resolution Bottom line is buyers beware and please ask the appropriate questions based on what I have written here By all means AVOID GoDaddy I found a host that seems to satisfy all that I was looking for, at least so far I had to file a Dispute with my financial institution and got a full refund as GoDaddy will trick you to wait and inform you that you went past the hr mark
December 11, my domain web site was shut down by Go Daddy because I cancelled payment on my American Express CC which was used without my consent thru Pay Pal, when paying for my charges I told the sales repto use Pay Pal and later I saw charges on Pay Pal and American Express, I then called back to Go Daddy and was told that they did not bill American Express but the billing was thru Pay Pal, then called Pay Pal and they said that they do not bill American Express so I filed a fraud case with American Express and they removed the charges which then lead to my cancellation of my web account I have sinced learned that Pay Pal credit is not available thru Go Daddy and that they use your attached Credit Card even thou you are unaware of the charges Then to reinstate my account which I did thru Go Daddy and usuing my American Express I was told I would have to pay a $in reinstatement fee in order to activate my account and to get back online I am now waiting to see if the original Pay Pal charges now disappear or stay on as paid charges to Go Daddy Very sad they have to charge and not own up to their mistake and then blame me as if I am the FA! Very sad customer service with Go Daddy the custermer is never right!

I just spoke to a technical service rep who was providing me with support in making revisions to my Godaddy website under the free trialWe discussed my purchasing the site and he processed the paymentI forgot to use the coupon for a 35% discount on new productsI called Godaddy back to apply the coupon and they said it was too late (they tried to sell me a longer term contract for which I could use the coupon)I have purchased hundreds of dollars of their products/services and asked if I could cancel the order from minutes ago and repurchase with the coupon and they said no - that would be a renewal and they could not apply the discountVery disappointed, since their service is usually of high quality
Go Daddy auto renewed a website on Jan 28, 2017, that I had previously paid for but never used in years I called today to cancel the site ownership and the recent renewal, to cancel payment for the website I never used However, GoDaddy says they will not refund a prorated portion of my renewal of $30, because it's not within days of renewal date, however, it is within days, of which is AMPLE notice, in any business transaction

Less than Seven Consecutive days (not business days WEEK late) This package wasn't even required as far as I knew when I signed up for this horrible service for the 3rd timeI thought I could give Go Daddy another chanceWell that was the last oneWhen you call and the first thing out of the representatives mouth is a fee of some sort for Reconnecting or republishingI immediately knew this

On 08/31/I purchased the domain name wholesomeliving.com for $5,and registered it with [redacted] On 10/24/I moved the domain registration to GoDaddySince it was an expensive domain, I've been renewing it with them diligentlyDue to an oversight, I failed to renew in time, and it was set to cancel on 12/13/Luckily I found out about the cancellation on 01/07/Since I was aware that there is a 30/day redemption grace period, I quickly logged into my online account with GoDaddy and attempted to renew itHowever, I was unable to do so, because I did not see the domain in question, neither a history nor any record of it, so that I could select it for renewalImmediately I called GoDaddy on the same day (01/07/18) and explained my situationThe gentleman I spoke to turned me away because he could not find the domain in my accountHe said all he could see that it was being "auctioned" and suggested that I buy it from the auctionWhen I said I don't want to buy a d
This web-building package/Hosting/Scam is unbelievableSigned up for a website, created it, worked very hard on it, to have godaddy shut it down because the WEB BUILDER did not renewVery confusing signup process, did not know the web builder was required to keep my website live, even ran it for a month without itHad a 1(800) # with go daddy that I let expire because my customers were getting confused thinking they were calling APPLE and not a privately owned repair servicePosted an ad on Facebook today and got an error for my website so clicked on it to find out GO Daddy shut it off!!
