Purchased a domain name 2 yrs ago with Go Daddy. I was hoping my business would grow faster than it did. I NEVER went further than securing a domain name, no webpage ever started. I was getting numerous emails saying I needed to update payment info in my account and getting constant offers to renew at a discount. I had already decided I was not going to renew since I was just not needed at this time. On 9/5/2017 I received an email and charge to my bank account...it seems Go Daddy puts on you on an auto-renewal program without first asking if you want that! I think this practice should be illegal. No one should access to your cc or bank accounts without permission. I never visited my account because I never did anything beyond securing a domain name for those 2 yrs. On the day I was charged however I logged in and I saw 4 options is large letters about my info. One said CANCEL RENEWAL...so I hit that. Then I checked back later that day and over the course of a few days checked. It

Godaddy.com was my website builder for nine or almost years In March 2016, godaddy.com deleted my website in spite of my payments of $each monthAccording to go daddy.com people, the people receiving my payments do not know where to post my payments so it is sitting in a bucket somewhere (as accountant, we call that suspense account) and not being posted to my account I only have one account so how difficult is it to figure out where to post a $monthly payment when there is only one account for a specific customerI have contacted them several times about this issue, but they could no longer bring my website on line after the deletion One of the managers tried to persuade me to stay with godaddy.com to keep my business without giving me a reasonable discount for the damages that they caused me so I decided to transfer my domains somewhere else To make this story short, I called godaddy.com before the New Year's to request a refund for my payments (total of mo

I attempted to purchase a domain through GoDaddy, and added it to my cart to see the priceI did not complete the purchase, but now the domain name is no longer availableGoDaddy has registered it, as of the same date I added it to my cartI do not believe this is a coincidence; I believe it is a case of domain front-runningWhether it is GoDaddy directly registering the domain, or someone else trolling their site and registering the domain,I would like to resolve this issueThis issue seems to be affecting many people, and I have no doubt that GoDaddy, whether directly responsible or not, is aware of the practiceI would like to be able to secure my domain, and for others to not encounter this same problem

I paid GoDaddy $2,to design a personal website host and maintain it After a long and effortful process in which I provided my desired website specification both in writing and in a phone call, they sent me a website that explicitly ignores my instructions and includes features that I requested to avoid They offered to revise the website, however, that would take even more time and effort from me, and they already demonstrated that they could not follow my instructions I demanded a refund, and they offered me only $out of $2,claiming that they have already put 80% of the work inHowever, their work has nothing to do with what I requested Moreover, out of the $2,the web design service amounts to $2,and the rest is for web hosting and securityThey refused to refund the last two items claiming that more than days have passed since I ordered itHowever, the web design process takes more than days!!

We received an email from GoDaddy offering a 20% discount for the renewal of our domain hosting which, after reading the fine print, turned out to be a offerWe went ahead and paid the full price for renewal, since our hosting expiration date was nearThen we sent an email, to an address given to us by a GoDaddy customer service rep, requesting a 20% refund, in order to make the offer true, citing that the offer was deceptive Our request was sent June 16th; it was not returned, so we conclude it was receivedThe request was sent before the discount offer expired and also before our hosting expired; we are still within days of the transaction, as stated in GoDaddy's Refund Policy We have had no acknowledgement or response from GoDaddy as of yet

After many years of being a good customer and recommending your company, you just lost my company's and the client's business for which I manage their websites and active account products we have with your company due to the irresponsible and erratic, unprofessional and possibly illegal actions of GoDaddy employee D [redacted] or Doug [redacted] Trademark DepartmentOn 11/27/we received an email from D [redacted] in an authoratative tone giving us only hours to comply with a request from Revdex.com to remove a logo we had on our website We had been working with the local Revdex.com in Denver on this matter and I forwarded D [redacted] the email from the Revdex.com allowing us until 1/30/to correct the issue D [redacted] disregarded the information we sent him, did not acknowledge this email giving us until 12/to comply and remove the Revdex.com logo I worked with Go Daddy staff on a 12/Sunday night to remove the logo as requested and completed the Revdex.com logo removal 12/ I did leave the text that noted "see

I have been a godaddy customer for over years The company used to be the best in domain hosting etc and has now become a joke compared to it's former self You can no longer get any help from godaddy with any issues All they do is send email instructions and ask you to pay for even the smallest help when this used to be included Basic help is non existent Take your business else where

Horrible customer service. Charged for multiple services I did not approve them to do. They claimed it was set for auto renew when I know I had gone in and turned all that off. They caused a overdraft from an account that I was getting ready to close. Wouldn't apologize, 100% blamed me. Also it is worth noting that every time I used a credit card with them our card got hacked. BUYER BEWARE!!

I have a few domains and hosting service with Godaddy for many yearsSince a couple of years, their service has been sucking so badly and their Phillipines customer service is treating us horribly Yesterday, I asked to cancel my service and the Rep promptly didI then asked casually, when can I expect my prorated refundFor that, she replied"What refund? we dont give refund after days"I was taken aback but asked to reinstate my hosting service as there is no point in cancelling if I don't get my money backTo my horror, she replied "I cannot do thatYou will have to repurchase it" This is the way they are treating US customers She could have atleast warned me that If I cancel, they cannot reinstate and also, no refundIt's the least thing you would expect, right? All I ask is, if you don't want to give a refund, atleast give me my product backIsn't this unfair?

I bought a godaddy hosting and domain name 2 years ago. This year I did not want the service. I made sure "Auto-Renew" option was turned off and yet they charged me $160.00 for the service. Once I saw this on my credit card I called and spoke to a person saying that they would process the refund. Its been 1.5 months later and spoken to 9 different people to many different people and Godaddy Representative says they won't issue a refund because its passed 30 days. I was beyond upset that instead of screaming I decided to call my credit card company. Don't buy from this people, they are a bunch of rip off artists who pass the conversation to many different people in order to avoid issuing a refund.

Paid for the domain "buy-service" and was told that $max offer was good weeks later, it was suggested to raise the bid a few hundred dollars to better my chances Never received any emails or phone calls over the day period My phone and email log show the numerous attempts at reaching the unstaffed "buy-service" department Only once did I receive a call and that was after repeatedly telling the main office that nobody works in the buy service dept Lastly, I just spoke with the owner of the domain I have been supposedly bidding on, and he even said that he didn't receive anything close to what I told him and that I just got scammed This is not good business practice by any means and my payment should be refunded

I went to godaddy.com to purchase domain namesPrior to me making the purchase through the companyI called customer service an spoke to a gentlemen by the name of James, who great assisting me to make sure I understand what I am purchasing and what are some of the beneficial perks of add certain featuresOnce I got to the end to make my purchase there was an issueFor some reason, I was not able to complete my purchase order which at the time I was still on the phone with James from customer service who had access to account and was seeing the message I was givenJames then stated that there might be a problem which my banking account and give them a call to see if it is something on there endBefore ending the call I verified with James that once I call my bank to figure out what the issue is I can continue and pay $which was what I was quoted before continuing to complete my orderThe next day Feb9th I called my bank and my account was fine, so I proceed to finish mak

Last month (March 2018) I canceled my domain and my economy linux hosting with cPanel. Not only did I call and cancel but I changed the autorenewal on my account so that it would not automatically renew. To my surprise, I got a charge for $95.88 on my credit card from go daddy for the economy linux hosting with cpanel. I called and spoke with Josh and told him that I wanted everything canceled. and that I had moved all my hosting including domain over to Wix because I found them too complicated and wasn't impressed with their customer service. He told me he would cancel everything and gave me a confirmation number and an email receipt of the confirmation. 2 days later GoDaddy charges me $15.17 for my domain. Are you kidding me. What do they not understand about canceling ALL of my services? I WANT EVERYTHING CANCELED AND THEY NEED TO STOP CHARGING ME. WHEN I SAY CANCEL EVERYTHING BECAUSE I NO LONGER WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH GODADDY, I MEAN CANCEL EVERYTHING! I can't believe that I'v

GoDaddy deceptively forced me to sign up for their auction programI did not want this nor did I ever use itWhen I called them they refused to remove the credit This practice of silently signing up people for things they never use is deceptive and needs to stop

Each domain I bought from GoDaddy was sold to me with several emails per domain, as opposed to one email eachAt the time of purchase, I shopped around, and selected this company due to the fact that for their price, several services were includedThey changed their offer along the way, now stating that I have one email onlyThis discussion adds to the reason for my original call this morning, which was unrelated! My appaulment escalatedIssue: No access to my email accountsThe first GoDaddy technician I spoke with expressed that yesterday (2015-02-15) there were access problems, likely due to their recent change of email interfacesThis interruption, which was not the first time, caused my conference call to be cancelled, business to potentially be lost, and certainly money lostAfter minutes of trouble-shooting, three times changing the password to access one account, and four times to access the other email account, as well as logging into a private incognito tab to have

I set up monthly subscription account with GoDaddy for my Elementary School's PTA/PTO OrganizationWe were going to switch from a PTA to a PTO, and wanted to make sure we'd have a domainThis was last year, May It became apparent that for many reasons, we weren't able to make the change...and stuck with the PTACut to today...I was reviewing some PayPal Account charges and discovered that at the end of May, I was charged a whopping $400+ for a domain, a webstore (that I never signed up for), and email All of these charges were for items that were never used...not onceWhen I called today (June 28th, 2016) to try to discuss this situation...I was told it was over days and there was nothing I could doSickened by such pathetic customer service I hung up and waited until my husband came homeAfter speaking to him, I really felt like surely someone would be willing to work with me....Okay...so I am outside the day full refund policy (which I still think is pretty shifty), but surely the can charge me for the last weeks of service, and refund the remainderYou know they will be selling the domain name right awayI also never agreed to the webstore or email addresses...but silence apparently means you give your consent to get takenI called back a second time and spoke with another Customer Service RepHe was very calm and pleasant...but also no helpI asked if a manager could help meHe said noI asked if I could have write someone or bring to anyone else's attention -- was not trying to be unreasonable, was not yelling (though it would have vented some frustration), simply wanted to speak to someone that would apply common sense and work with a customerNo diceI was told over and over that days had come and gone and that's itNo opportunity for any refund, assistance, no possibility for a pro-rated solutionI just donated over $to GoDaddy's bottom line with no chance of discussion How is this legal? I’m essentially being charged for a full year though I would have chosen to do it in monthly installments no webstore (we didn’t need nor agree to that) and emails are needed All things I was charged for without consent Go Daddy knows that I never used it .so isn’t it reasonable that I pay at most for months service and get refunded the rest of the year’s premium?? At minimum...shouldn't there be a process for customers to write in to someone other than a customer service operator to discuss possibilities for coming to a compromise? I just find it really pathetic that a major company can actually charge you for something you didn't agree to or use and you have no recourse Surely, other non-profits and schools need to be warned about this as Go Daddy sets themself up to be business that provides a inexpensive, hassle free way to get domains...and then upcharge you for products without permission and then refuses to do what is rightStand by your product fellows, and work with customers, don't stick it to them every opportunity you can!

Godaddy has an auctions department that sells domains through an auction process similar to Ebay I placed a max bid of on a specific domain [redacted] The godaddy system malfunctioned and put my bid as 22, I contacted Godaddy IMMEDIATELY prior to the auction finishing from both email and PHONE Godaddy General support told me that they didn't know what to do about the malfunction and this Auction ran on a Sunday and GODADDY auctions is conveniently NOT OPEN on Sunday The auction continued with the bidding continuing and stopped at $7300(ie my bid was overbidding everyone else because the system has my bid as 22,221) I contacted them through email (the only way the auction department seems to correspond) and they said there was nothing they could do I am long time member of godaddy have hundreds of domains, websites, been a premium member of the auctions sites, so I AM NOT a NOVICE and placed hundreds of bids over many many years This was system malfunction obvious

So I have been working with GoDaddy for a month getting a new website developedI call and ask for a status update I hear nothing for days (no call back when any other time I get a call the same day) and then I get an "email" from the developer I was working with telling me she is "not going to start building" the site until she has "everything"In over emails I sent everything that was requested and even more when it was requestedSO now I have to wait WEEKS more (OR FIND ANOTHER BUSINESS AND FIGHT TO GET MY MONEY BACK FROM GODADDY) to get the siteIn the meantime, they are about to get paid a second time and HAVE NOT CREATED OR EVEN STARTED! IN WEEKS THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING FOR ALL THE MONEY I PAID TO THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have paid them OVER $2,AND THEY HAVE NOT DONE A THING!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS WAS THE WORST DECISION I COULD HAVE EVER MADE!!!!!

Godaddy attempted to steal my domain nameI checked the whois database and I was the owner, however, Godaddy changed the IP address of my domain name to a page, stating the account of the domain name was suspended I caught Godaddy red handed trying to steal my app domain name The account rep Cody did a great job and rectified the situation and changed the IP address back to what is originally was However, I do NOT trust Godaddy anymore because they committed fraud against me and my ownership of the domain by changing my IP Address of my parked domain to "Account Suspended" Status Be ware

I went to a domain name and it was for sale via Afternic / Godaddy I submitted the request a priceIt was an average domain and they wanted something like 30k for it Not at all close to what its worth I politely declined Now I keep getting spammed by them I've replied 2x and never got a reply form them just more generic buy me emails This makes me want to move all the domains and services off themIts kind of sleazy
