In March of I upgrade my website to use wordpressAt the time of the purchase I was informed by the customer service rep that I would get a full refund of remaining funds from my previous purchase In April I updated my website and informed Go Daddy requesting my refund
I was told that I would not get a refund due to exceeding my window At no time during my upgrade purchase was I informed that I was in a window
It saddens me that I have to write this letter due to the unprofessionalism and horrible experience I had with your
company on a recent transaction, especially being a long time customerOn 11/29/around 1AM I called your customer support department to follon a credit for an Office Business Premium account that I cancelled today that was purchased back in June of this yearI spoke to Jacob and he advised me the policy had changed that GoDaddy was no longer giving refunds on un-used subscriptionsI advised him that when I spoke to the sales representative back in June she advised me I could cancel anytime and get a store credit for the un-used portion if I paid for the whole year up front, which I didIt’s obvious I was not told the truth back then, but nevertheless I asked Jacob to make an exception as I was not properly informed of this change and to please give me $credit which I could use for our annual GoDaddy SSL CertificateHe said “No” and then got an atti
We mistakenly renewed a 3yr term instead of a 1yr term with GoDaddy and have been very dissatisfied with their web builder and most importantly, their lack of customer serviceI've called twice to resolve the issue and was told I'd receive a call backI did not, so I called againThis time, they lied and said the manager had left a voicemail on my phone after the first callThis is untrueNow, I'm waiting for a call back, but imagine I will not receive one and they will falsify their records to state they attempted to contact meWhat poor customer service! All we want is to change our 3yr renewal to a 1yr renewal as we had done every year since now and then cancel our renewals as soon as possibleWe cannot waste anymore money with this company
I was attempting to transfer a domain out from Godaddy, after consulting their online guides I was having an issue with their systemI contacted their chat department who spoke with me for a little under two hours with no resolutionMultiple times I asked the associate if following their instructions would get my domain locked for days, to which they replied no it would notThey clearly lied because my account is now locked and Godaddy refuses to do anything about itThey continue to defend their lies
I called the billing department today when I realized that I was being charged the wrong sales tax rate on my purchase The person I spoke to was (I believe) reading a script and said, " the tax is computed by an algorithm based upon the information in your profile" I tried to explain to him that there must be a bug in their algorithm He then said again (with some emphasis) IIT'S AN AUTOMATED ALGORITHM I explained that I was charged 8.4% tax while the tax for my town is 7.375% He then came back with some strange answer about adding in an e-commerce fee and that is where I figured I was getting nowhere From my records this problem goes back at least to I wonder how many other tax rates are wrong based upon their ALGORITHM?
The information in my business (*** *** * *** ***) listing on *** is incorrectThe menu items and prices are oldI hired *** for one year to update and maintain my directoriesThey are not able to correct the *** listing I contacted *** to get it changed, but they cannot change the information because it was originally listed through Go Daddy's Get Found directory that I had purchasedI no longer pay for Get Found, so when I contacted Go Daddy, they said it cannot be corrected unless I purchase Get Found againIt is not right that I cannot get the information removed or corrected when the *** directory is a free directory
For years, my business, Mil-Green casual, Inc, has had the domain name milgreen.com through Godaddy.comOur website, advertising, and all printed materials including our delivery vehicle have the website name www.milgreen.com printed on themTwo weeks ago, it was brought to my attention that there was a problem with my website and after some investigating, I found that the domain name had expiredI immediately called Godaddy's customer service and was informed that they had sold my domain name two days prior to my call, and that I was out of luckAfter years, they didn't even attempt to call meThe explanation I received was that several emails were sent and not answeredThose emails were sent to our company advertising representative, *** *** at his business email that was obtained from Godaddy.com, which is ***.***.com Godaddy has span filters on their customer's emails and the notifications sent to Mr*** went to spam (again, the spam filters are Godaddy'
I have been trying for over a year to discontinue both of my web hosting services with Media Temple (owned by GoDaddy), at *** *** *** *** ***, Los Angeles, CA Originally, the company said it would discontinue the services However, more recently they said they would only do so if I can log into their website, which I am unable to do I have even tried sending requests by certified mail, and included copies of the following as proof of my identity-- driver license, passport, Social Security card, and birth certificate But six more months have gone by without any response whatsoeverWhen I call they continue to refuse to discontinue the servicesit is absurd for the company to continue charging me for services I am not using for more than a year
After the hosting was affected by a Malware, our website expetrienced Denail of Service (DOS) attack, so we contacted the technical service department and opened a ticketMe and my CEO escalated the issue because we were losing business, so after talking to a Technical Supervisor (Austin S), who said will settle the account (Refund) if even after hours of trouble shooting they are not able to resolve the issuehe also said he will send me an emailbut I didnt not recieve any call back or email from themafter to business days they still werent able to resolve the issue and I called them back to talk to austin, but they said he was busyand finally after 8th day of fixing the issue he calls back and says, he wont be able to do the refund but will give us one extra year for free, by that time we laready had to moved to another hosting provider and all set the issue wasnt resolved and no compensdation were made for our lost businessthis need to be fixed
I wanted go daddy to host my website, but after all of the confusion on how to transfer my domain, I cancelled the hosting and was refunded my moneyA week later go daddy decides to go back into my bank account for a retry payment, I called them and spoke with a representative named Steven and I informed him on what happened and he said go daddy did not go into your account because you do not have any business with us anymore since you cancelled your service, and I explained to him that they still went in my account, he said to me the bank must have went in your accountSo I called my bank and they told me that go daddy is the merchant who has access to your checking account to do a retry, and they were responsible for this transactionIts so disturbing how these people can lie to customers and take their money without authorization
Multiple days of service down without any time frame for resolutionNot willing to take long route to fix issue for individual problem while working on solution for all customers
I recently purchased three domains through GoDaddyUnlike with my two previous domains the GoDaddy rep did not set up (or offer or even mention) the private registration I had used before and all three were purchased publicly without my knowledge and all of my personal information (home address, phone number, email) went out to the registration database on the webSpam emails and phone calls immediately followedA follcall quickly set up the privacy and this new rep expressed some surprise that the privacy hadn't been offered at time of purchase Though the sites are now "private" the damage is already doneThe supervisor wasn't helpful in the slightest in attempting to resolve the breachA lot of infuriating, "I'm sympatheticthat must be frustrating So, did you have any more questions?" Here's something I don't understand: the reps have boilerplate they have to read to you for every credit card purchase; why don't they have language that they must read when they're about to do something that will expose your private information?
I elected not to renew the kincons.com email account because the fees are too highAs the result of not renewing my fees, a lot of my contacts were removed from my phoneSince many of these numbers include emergency contacts, this aggressive act has been highly frustrating and fundamentally offensiveBetween kincons.com and prosperityorganicfoods.com addresses, I have patronized Godaddy.com for over yearsTo have my contacts compromised is highly offensive and guarantees I will never give my business to Godaddy.com again
Warning to all #Godaddy future customers: #GoDaddy continues to disappoint me and many other small business owners I’ve talked toThis message is to warn you to beware! #Godaddy still does nothing to make amends with customers they mess over thru mistakes or employee errorsI plan to find a way to stop utilizing #Godaddy services when I can do it without negatively impacting my business and my customers/clients#Godaddy’s mistakes are extremely costly after years of my company paying money to them for the privilege of continued abuse and/or poor expensive serviceThe latest poor #Godaddy service is the fact that my website (***), after paying for a secure SSL, has been sending my visitors a message saying “my site is a threat to steal the customer's informationGo back to safety or advance at your own risk!” THIS WAS HORRIFYING! The site eventually worked within the 72-hours they said it would take to fix itOver the last few months, I have had people and companies mysteriously block my company (Scholarship Leadership Institute; aka SLI) b/c of this crazy spam message! I have sent out email campaigns to over potential customers twice w/extremely poor resultsI have made bids on contracts for $17,000,and they went to the siteI'm saddened that these potential clients/customers probably saw that spam pageLastly, I purchased specialty ink pensI couldn't add "https://” to the URL due to space limitations so I added "www" thinking it would still default to my secure website, as I was toldTo my shock and horror, the vendors (i.e., ***, ***, **, ***, ***, etc.) from the recent conference I attended in Austin were probably also sent to the spam page! This is unacceptable! Then I got a response from #Godaddy during the call indicating they see the problem and planned to expedite the matterThey promised to send me an email when the problem is resolvedIf I could come up with a value of "business loss" to sue #Godaddy for, I wouldBut I'm too frustrated to even deal with #Godaddy right now#Godaddy made no attempt to give me any compensation for my troubles, mistreatment, etc., or knock off anything from my expensive SSL bill for services that I didn’t even have unless people typed “https://“So they eventually fixed my SSL certificate correctly like they should have done months ago, while not compensating me or doing anything to make me feel like they value me as a customerI'm not happy with their service so I plan to share my dissatisfaction via email, social media, and on stages all over AmericaThis is no way to treat their valued customers who exclusively use their company and I told them as muchIt’s gonna take a while, but I will eventually find other companies who won’t take me and other small businesses for granted! I don’t know how much money I have lost over the last few months due to #Godaddy but I will spend the rest of my time on the planet letting people know about my experience with #GodaddyIf they haven’t made the mistake of using #Godaddy for emails, domain, or website services, I will advise them to RUN! #Godaddy is not the company you think they are AND they take business owners like me for grantedEnough is enough! They still haven’t told me the results of what happened or if can happen againI’ve wasted money running *** Ads, email campaigns, etcand they haven’t even apologized for what they did to my business! I wrote most of this on a #Godaddy email survey after my call complaining about the SSL issue and haven’t heard back from them at allI’m not sure why I expected it, but #Godaddy will continue to hear from me until they do right by me and my companyI promise to warn as many businesses as possible about my experience and poor #Godaddy customer service experienceI gave them a 1-rating b/c I don't know how to leave a 0-ratingIf they respond to this and say they have reached out to me, they will be lying! I've checked my spam, overflow, etcemailNOTHING FROM GODADDY even after they promised to contact meCrappy customer service!
