I have a hosting plan with Godaddy through a reseller called *** ***I happen to be the resellerI typically use this plan for testing but don't need it anymoreI have been paying for the monthly plan on a yearly basis and on April 27th, it was renewed for one yearOn June 11th, I decided to cancel the plan and requested a refund for the remaining monthsThe Plan name is Ultimate Hosting *** *** ***I spoke to Luke the customer service agent and he told me Godaddy's policy is not to refund anything on a yearly planThis plan is not a yearly planIt's a monthly plan but I choose to pay for it on a yearly basis to avoid monthly renewal noticesI asked for a Supervisor and his name was IsaacHe told me the same and said he cannot do anythingI need my refund for the remaining monthsThat is $I paid $on April 27th
Go Daddy has engaged in unethical behavior related to the renewal of domain names Its not surprising to see the volume of negative reviews on this website given my own experience Go Daddy doesn't allow consumers to turn off the auto-renew option on domain names in advance They also don't allow me to delete my payment information to avoid being charged in the event I forget to turn off my auto-renewal prior to the renewal date They're basically betting on consumers forgetting to cancel their auto-renewal option so that they can collect more fees While I believe it is unethical this may end up being criminal
Created my own e-commerce website in less than a month, thanks to the awesome customer service here! I want to give a special shout out to Ryan G***, for going above and beyond my expectations; he replied to my email while out of the office and let me know when he would be available to help meHe was also friendly and pleasant to talk to on the phoneThe online chat support was also very helpful in assisting me in accessing all the features of the GoCentralOnlineStore that GoDaddy has to offer
GOdaddy sold me a domain name called *** which I paid for and then took it away
I paid for it and won it at the auction, it belongs to me and I should be able to now use it
I had called on Oct1, requesting to cancel my accountThe customer representative refused to do so, instead forced me to include 2-step verification on my account I called in again, on 10/13/spoke to MrJ*** and MrB***, who once again, refused to cancel and refund my account I need the account cancelled and the full amount refunded to my card on file
This is atrocious policy as I had called specifically on Oct1, to cancel my account
On Feb 9th, Godaddy emailed me to let me know my site had been flagged for malware that had been added to my remote web server They failed to mention in this notice that they disabled email functionality for my account in the process, despite my website being a portfolio website containing tutorials and also used on my resume It was not until this past weekend when diagnosing a different issue that this came up, and the solution required was to purchase a separate security package to help ensure the issue would not happen again
The issues here are multiple: This computer my site is on is already being scanned by their software, else I would have never been flagged in the first place Next, there is no indication that these files came from me or anything having to do with my home system, as many users are on a shared server like this -- it could have been a simple password hack on my godaddy account itself, my ftp account, or potentially the account of another user on the syste
I paid GoDaddy $2,to design a personal website host and maintain it
After a long and effortful process in which I provided my desired website specification both in writing and in a phone call, they sent me a website that explicitly ignores my instructions and includes features that I requested to avoid
They offered to revise the website, however, that would take even more time and effort from me, and they already demonstrated that they could not follow my instructions
I demanded a refund, and they offered me only $out of $2,claiming that they have already put 80% of the work inHowever, their work has nothing to do with what I requested
Moreover, out of the $2,the web design service amounts to $2,and the rest is for web hosting and securityThey refused to refund the last two items claiming that more than days have passed since I ordered itHowever, the web design process takes more than days!!
I am a Go Daddy Customer however I was searching for domain names prior to signing in and came across two names that I wanted to purchase I selected both names and signed up to pay for them for two years each I proceeded to check out where the system gave me a promotional code to use (***) and a final price for both names for two years for approx $and some change Once I clicked the orange button to pay, the system required me to sign in Once I signed in and went back to the cart the system told me the discount was a "limited promotion" and instead wanted to charge me $ I immediately clicked on the Chat button and talked to Ryan Wwho tried to tell me the promotion was no longer available (I have a copy of the chat) I then called in to Go Daddy and they indicated that unless I had a copy of the screen shot they could not give me the discounted price I only had access to the screen showing the increased price When I tried to use the back button to get b
Seems like they have a domain ramson business on the sideThey are keen to manually delete a domain immediately to force you to pay $to get it back or they put it for sale on auctionActually they advertise this expiring domain auctions quite a lot, who knowsI transfered a .ch domain with them and swith autorenewAfter receiving a notification that my credit card was not up to date, I updated the information before the domain expired, but they wouldn't let me renew it automatically and sure enough I got an email saying that they had deleted the domainAfter I call the tech support, all I got was that I had to pay up or they would put it out for auction, even if they acknowledge that my payment information was up to date at the time the domain expired and it was marked for automatic renewalGo Greedy!
Godaddy keep preventing my firm to transfer my domain (conswinrealty.com)to bluehostI have unlock my domain and follow its domain transfer instructionsI contacted the company many times during last monthTime is essence for my firm to transfer the domainHope I can get the issue solved here
Godaddy offers an email marketing pro program They are misleading and falsly advertising the services
They say 5,subscriber limit, but are falsly representing this number The reality is they only allow 5,"Unique" subcribers per month This is not stated anywhere and is misleading
I currently have 5,in my list but they wont let me send because they say I went over my "Unique" subscribers Once again, falsly represented and not stated anywhere on godaddy.com
I accidentally purchased a product and I cancelled it before it was taken out of my account in the hopes that I would not be chargedI did not receive the product and I had hoped that I would receive the transaction wouldn't go throughInstead it charged my card and when I inquired about it they had said that all products are nonrefundable even with my already canceling the product that I didn't useI asked why I was billed when I clearly canceled before my bank was credited and they said they have no control of that if I could at least receive an account credit so I could use a services that I actually want and they flat out refusedHorrible customer service
We have been buying domians with Go Daddy under Account no*** since We have a lot of doamins with this companyFor some reason they have reset ll the domain settings to auto renew when every time we purchase a domain we select one year and not select auto renewThe person we just talked today at 5:am PST, 2/13/was the most manipulative, deceptive and threatening typical of pushy telemarketersWe told him we are going to dispute the charges but he wants us to keep calling back to cancel, hence to let charges go throughI don't know how long this person works at Go Daddy but we have been as long time customers telling us deceptive tactics that everything is set to auto renewWe also get calls everyday with this telemarketers from Go Daddy leaving messages when we don't want them harassing us
Their web site www.bizstanding.com lists my name and my address associated with my company name to the publicI have sent email to their support and called them to request to opt out my information off from their listingsHowever, no responses from them at alltheir phone line never has people to answerI need to protect my privacy an safetyI am meeting serious problems that someone is stalking me and my family members
I have been trying to get support in correcting an issue with a hosting account I have with this companyUsually this is an easy process but for some reason in looking for support in the last few months the service has been miserable
Presently I have a hosting account requiring supportAfter taking over an hour on several calls they agreed the issue is on their side and told me it has to be escalated to be solvedI understood and thought this would solve the problemI got an email telling saying it could take up to hoursInstead of looking into it I got another email which clearly ignores the original issue presented leaving me no one to turn to ever retell the storyso they can fix the problem
IN asking to speak to supervisors I end up on hold for over minutes and then get less than professional service from the supervisor
When I called in 8/4/ to check what was going on the representative referred to the wrong domain name hosting account

WHAT is happening to GoDaddy?! I have had nothing but good experiences with GoDaddy until todayI have numerous urls that I have purchased throughout the years, and recently have launched my new business url through themApparently you used to get email credits associated to urls you purchased, which they haven't done in yearsI had email credits, which were NOT listed as being associated with specific urlsI set up my business emails with these credits and they were attached to random urls I owned - NOT COMMUNICATEDSo when I let a url expire that I did not use, one of my business emails were abolished - NOT COMMUNICATEDI proceeded to speak with agents, both of whom were condescending and insultingI have lost ALL my emails from a new business account...the last agent thinks that getting $off an email plan (which costs $130) is good offerI repeat - I LOST ALL MY EMAILS FROM MY NEW BUSINESS because it was not communicated that retiring an unused URL would do that...and
