I renewed domains weeks ago via godaddy.com and paid $ The GoDaddy added domain privacy service amounting to $
I would like to make a Revdex.com complaint to get my $back and a previous $because the GoDaddy system automatically added domain privacy service fees without my knowledgeWhen I contacted GoDaddy to get my money back, they were were not able to help because I did not have a pin # which only GoDaddy could have given me
I then contacted Paypal since I made the payment of $to GoDaddy via my Paypal accountI submitted claims and appealed claims to Paypal to get my money back from GoDaddy but they were not understanding
I don’t understand how I can be charged a domain privacy service which I did not wantAs a customer, I am being forced into buying something which I did not want
As a last resort to complain about GoDaddy and Paypal, I am appealing to you
Just as a FYI - I would not have signed up for domain privacy service beca

I have three Deluxe Web Hosting Linux plans with Godaddy and had these for a long time, around years
Godaddy takes pre-approved payments for these plans directly from Paypal every month through a Paypal agreementThe base price was set at USD $8.99/mo
I use many services of Godaddy and receive an overload of notifications from them, which is nice to have
The prices never really increased
By paying attention to emails I had received, it came to my attention that Godaddy was slowly and quietly gauging the prices for these services by almost 100%, without any notification in advance
Even in the emails where I get billed, there is a tiny little sentence that states : "We're changing the prices for some of our web hosting plansClick here to see if this impacts you."
However, nothing in the headline, or in the upper body of the email suggests there is any kind of price increase
This means Godaddy quietly increases the prices by almost 100% (the fee is USD $13:99/

I was contacted by phone on May 22nd for soliciting purposes to purchase a website that I did not require at the timeI was told that I had a trial period for the websit domain and hosting that was activated a week later on May 31, I began to use the site to see if I could post my project on it and if the project would be viable on the siteThe trial period was unsuccessful and on June 25th I discontinued the service requesting a full refund ($USD) or even a partial one for the remaineder of the year that I could not useDue to the days over the trial period, I was told that I could not receive a refund for the whole amount or the remainder of the yearI find this business practice to be a huge money grab taking advantage of their existing customers that do not yet need their servicesTo not offer a refund policy that is in line with how their services work annually is a scam in my opinionI am requesting a full refund for this service as I have the documentation t

GoDaddy overcharged me $in FebruaryBecause I did not recognize the charge, I did dispute itGoDaddy agreed to refund me the money, but said I needed to release the dispute, which I didSince then they say the money has been refunded and I need to call my credit card companyMy credit card company says they have re-sent the money back to GoDaddy to refund to meI am tired of the run aroundThree months later I deserve that moneyGoDaddy will not helpHere is my GoDaddy case #***

TA agent didn't hear my requestsPoor customer service

Email service has been unavailable for an entire day, causing significant damage to our business

Horrible customer serviceCharged for multiple services I did not approve them to doThey claimed it was set for auto renew when I know I had gone in and turned all that offThey caused a overdraft from an account that I was getting ready to closeWouldn't apologize, 100% blamed me
Also it is worth noting that every time I used a credit card with them our card got hackedBUYER BEWARE!!

The unexplained mystery charges that appeared on my account was beyond a simple up sale technique Too much work to keep pace with the charges and add onsThe actual cost of doing business was beyond the introductory offers Customer service merely states that an email was sent, despite spam or countless up selling emails that any reasonable person ignoresSo I decided this service was not for meI tried to resolve the issue 2x and was not satisfiedI will pass on Go Daddy in the future - too aggressive technique for meI like old fashion services and fair play
Customer Service was not helpfulI cancelled all my accounts Go Away Daddy

I ACCIDENTALY PAID THEM FOR HOSTING SERVICES
CALLED THEM IMMEDIATELY TO LET THEM KNOW I NEEDED TO DOWNGRADE, THEY TOLD ME THEY CANNOT REFUND ME
I SAID "WHY YOU CANNOT REFUND MY MONEY FOR A SERVICE THAT HAS NOT BEEN PROVIDED OR RENDERED?"
IT IS OUR REFUND POLICYNO REFUNDSREALLY NICE PEOPLEBUNCH OF THIEVES

On 8-8-I contacted GoDaddy after seeing someone had either accessed my email account or was spoofing it I could not access my account due to Factor Authentication being enabled I recently had to factory reset my Samsung Galaxy S Once I did that I lost the Factor Authentication code from Google Authenticator and I have no way of re-enabling it GoDaddy said I needed to fill out the Factor Authentication disable form on their website which I submitted on 8-8- In the meantime, lots of spam was being sent from my email address which caused GoDaddy to block all outgoing email from my account I asked them to turn off my email account completely or reset my password I told them they didn't even have to give the new password to me just turn it off in case my account was accessed They said they could not do this since they didn't have the Factor Authentication code I asked them what their backup is when a customer has no code and they said there is NO BACKUP

I have been a customer with GoDaddy for many, many years In September my hosting contract was due for renewal Talked to customer service on the phone about various offers and solutions for my needsThere were two optionsOne, with a cheaper price, a longer term and NO credit if I needed to cancel earlier The other, was more expensive, a one year contract with the option of a credit if needed to cancel I was specifically told that I do get a credit if I need to cancel during the contract year (and not just within days) When shortly after, I came into a situation and needed to cancel my hosting with GoDaddy after several years of having the hosting, I was told there is no credit! They would be sorry about the "misunderstanding"Funny, how it's always a "misunderstanding" on the customer side, even though you make sure and have it confirmedGoDaddy's customer service was once outstanding; however, it has significantly changed into the negative in the past couple of years

I have purchased a bunch of domains on GoDaddy through the yearsI was unaware that I was getting charged because of an auto-renewal on multiple domains that I never touched for years since purchasing themI requested for them to be canceled and refunded since I never authorized these renewals and they can clearly see on their backend that I never touched or looked at them after purchased years agoThere domains that I have been re-charged for without my knowledge

On 6/23/18, I called into GoDaddy customer service as I began to notice I was being billed monthly in amounts from $8.99-$for Web Hosting I clearly know that I've purchased the domain name, and purchased renewals for it, but I absolutely did not purchase web hosting, because I've always had free hosting through my POS providerWhen I spoke to the customer service rep, he accused me of having purchased this web hosting plan in 2015, which is just not true I know that GoDaddy is notorious for auto-checking boxes for add-ons at the end of purchases, so I've been pretty meticulous in recent years/orders about ensuring that there are no hidden charges sneaking in my orders, but I absolutely did not order this service I have several domains with GoDaddy, and some email service ($4.99), but never needed web hosting The representative blamed me, and told me he would not be able to issue a refund for the serviceI was highly shocked He even knew that I had not used the service

I was charged for a auto renewal Word presswhen I revived my bill from my credit card company I called Godaddy that I did not wont the serviceI was told that there policy is if charged for a service over days there will be no credit given or refundedI was also told that they emailed me times before meI never received an email because is was directed into junk email folder and I never received written noticebecause I am days over there policy no credit would be given

I have dealt with GoDaady as a registrar for many years and held them in highest esteem until I decided to use them to host my site when my nightmare beganI am a software developer and an intranetwork engineer and have been in my profession for the last years
Security Warning
I started with a shared windows hosting ($/ month) on June and soon realized that their .net offering was not upto date as they claimedMy apps were written in Asp.net core I was told that they would be upgrading soon, but that never happenedAfter weeks of waiting and realizing the limitation of the shared environment and overcoming my disappointment , I moved to purchase a Virtual Private Server account on July Disappointed because they refused to give any credit towards the new purchase which I had to do due to their limitationsI chose the self managed option as I am highly experienced in my field As a rule I do a security monitoring before uploading my files when I discovered that I was a target of brute force attack On a Windows server you can see this happening on the Event Viewer when every second a login attempt is being made with different user namesThis began within 24hrs of me signing up Let me also add here that the domain name I was using was brand new and had nothing to indicating anything special was behind it
When I informed GoDaddy about this, they convinced me that they would have a resolution within hrsBeing busy with everything else I came to realize on July that I was still waiting for a resolutionWhen I called them now they started a parrot like repetition saying that on a self managed server, it was my responsibility to prevent getting hacked and that their parent servers were their only concern GoDaddy's solution was for me to pay them more money so they can manage When I asked them if they would be moving my domain to a different machine, they said "NO" that was not required
As much as I agree with protecting my assets, here are the problems with those statements
(a) The server that I purchased exists on their physical network, the IP address is provisioned by them and to reach my server, every connection must pass through their routers & a (phantom) firewallThe attacks don't originate out of thin air as they make it seem like the machine I was given was sitting in an open field
(b) So they can't answer what changes the security situation when my domain does not use a different machine
I used a program called VisualRoute, day free trial and realized what a poorly configured network they have Every responsible company has a fiduciary of providing a first line of defense against Denial of Service, DDoS etcas this also affects the performance GoDaddy miserably fails in this aspect Another point to note is they do not indicate their lack of protecting you anywhere on their website nor on the phone
Inter-departmental Communications break
Their Customer Development Department called me as I was getting ready to ask for a full refund since I could not use their service at all due to security issues Their promise to refund turned into a phone transfer nightmare between their accounting department & the hosting department who did not honor that and start to point out my "inability" As though it's ok for this hacking to go on
No higher ups to help
When tying to get to a supervisor's supervisor, they will simply refuse to give a even an email address saying you have reached the end of the rope
Billing Issues
I also realized that when I moved on to the VPS, the sales person assured me that the shared hosting is cancelled and there was nothing else I need to do That was not true as I was charged $on July 15thI know it's a small amount but not only this would add up eventually but it's also the principle
Bottomline & Resolution
Bottom line is buyers beware and please ask the appropriate questions based on what I have written here
By all means AVOID GoDaddy I found a host that seems to satisfy all that I was looking for, at least so far I had to file a Dispute with my financial institution and got a full refund as GoDaddy will trick you to wait and inform you that you went past the hr mark

I setup a .it domain and paid $for a supposed "Trustee Service"On Godaddy.com it specifically says "Your Domain uses a trustee serviceThe trustee service information is what appears in the public WHOIS database"And yet when I checked several international whois databases, the only information that appeared was my personal informationI don't want my personal information to appear, that is the reason I invested in this .it TLD and the trustee service in the first placeThe Godaddy.com representative I spoke with on the phone was courteous, but he had a hard time understanding the situation himself let alone trying to explain it to me which is why I asked to speak to a supervisorIf you listen to the call, it's pretty clear that his supervisor did everything she could to avoid speaking with me to troubleshoot thisIt was one of those "broken record" situations where instead of looking further into it and making a real effort to troubleshoot an obvious flaw in their system

This web-building package/Hosting/Scam is unbelievableSigned up for a website, created it, worked very hard on it, to have godaddy shut it down because the WEB BUILDER did not renewVery confusing signup process, did not know the web builder was required to keep my website live, even ran it for a month without itHad a 1(800) # with go daddy that I let expire because my customers were getting confused thinking they were calling APPLE and not a privately owned repair servicePosted an ad on Facebook today and got an error for my website so clicked on it to find out GO Daddy shut it off!! Less than Seven Consecutive days (not business days WEEK late) This package wasn't even required as far as I knew when I signed up for this horrible service for the 3rd timeI thought I could give Go Daddy another chanceWell that was the last oneWhen you call and the first thing out of the representatives mouth is a fee of some sort for Reconnecting or republishingI immediately knew this

I requested a change to my billing plan so I should have had the Ultimate WP Hosting to cover sites, plus a basic to cover That is a total of sites and plans, yet it appears that I am actively being charged for plans and I am not sure why
Furthermore, on 6/24/2016, GoDaddy charged $that was completely unauthorized and I immediately made contact to rectifyYour company refused to void the transaction, instead offering to just go ahead and keep it to extort a long term renewal out of meFinally, they offered a refund - not a void, but a refund which took quite a few days to process
To catch up, now my business is out $for a fraudulent transaction and it causes of my checking accounts to go haywireMy bank made over $over your unauthorized chargeI then got hit with returned payment fees and late fees from all of my credit card companies totaling another $So although I was finally refunded for a transaction that never should have happened, it stil

Several months ago, GoDaddy automatically charged my credit card for a "renewal" that we did not want, and did not authorizeAfter calling and complaining, I explicitly stated that we are never to be charged automatically again, without authorization, for any product or renewalThen, just a few days ago, on July 7, 2017, They went ahead and again charged me, without prior authorization, for a product renewal that I did not wantWhen I called to complain, I was treated rudely by their customer service people who flat out refused to refund my money

GoDaddy consistently hide behind "refund policies" in order to increase their profitsMinimal effort (email) to contact individuals about renewals allows GoDaddy to take money from hardworking people on a regular basisIf domain are not used or there no usageAT ALL, this company should do a better job of notifying peopleSure, $is not a lot for a million dollar business but I hope my efforts to expose the "little" things will have an impact an encourage customers to use a more honest company
