December 11, my domain web site was shut down by Go Daddy because I cancelled payment on my American Express CC which was used without my consent thru Pay Pal, when paying for my charges I told the sales repto use Pay Pal and later I saw charges on Pay Pal and American Express, I then called back to Go Daddy and was told that they did not bill American Express but the billing was thru Pay Pal, then called Pay Pal and they said that they do not bill American Express so I filed a fraud case with American Express and they removed the charges which then lead to my cancellation of my web account
I have sinced learned that Pay Pal credit is not available thru Go Daddy and that they use your attached Credit Card even thou you are unaware of the charges
Then to reinstate my account which I did thru Go Daddy and usuing my American Express I was told I would have to pay a $in reinstatement fee in order to activate my account and to get back online
I am now waiting to see if the original Pay Pal charges now disappear or stay on as paid charges to Go Daddy
Very sad they have to charge and not own up to their mistake and then blame me as if I am the FA!
Very sad customer service with Go Daddy the custermer is never right!

I received a bill on my credit card today, 4-15,17, for an automatic renewal of a GoDaddy domain name going back to an account of years agoThe renewal notice was sent to an email address that I have not used for yearsI called the customer service department and spoke with Curtis and later his supervisor Colton, both were courteous but unable to issue credit because of policies beyond their controlI am years old on a fixed income, this charge ($151.70) for a domain name for which I have no use in the next years is a significant financial burdenThe GoDaddy policies regarding automatic renewal appear predatory, especially to senior citizensThe first notice I received was the bill on my credit cardI would greatly appreciate if you would look into this matter and encourage GoDaddy to issue credit

I have been a customer of Godaddy for 15+ yearsMy first attempt to get some help from their legal department was met with diversions and rudeness I have decided to put my complaint in the hands of my lawyer

I have purchased a hosting plan from Godaddy and use the Cpanel emails
Every now and then I get a problem with the emails and they stop workingWhen I call support for this they check the problem and come back with a standard reply, that this problems happens, you should buy our paid email service
This has happened to me four times and every time its exactly the same thing thats repeated
They try to upsell you instead of solving your problem
The worst thing is that after saying there is a delay in the emails, and the server has a problem they are able to literary get my email flowing immediately, like they have a switch that they flip and the email flowHowever they want you to contact them so that they can pitch you the paid email service
When I confronted them about this, the support rep told me there was a delay of over 24k email on my server and the emailAnd that the emails are not going through since last days
However as soon as I contacted them somehow the delay on the server immediately melts away and my email came through
I asked them about the up selling and they rep very confidently told me that offering a paid service was the only option he could provide me, apart from that he will put in a request for the system admin to look into it
I asked if I could put in a complaint and they said they dont have a complaint system , so I cannot put in a request to review the behavior of the rep
I asked to speak with the supervisor, and he confirmed they did not have a complaint system
I have made up my mind to move away from godaddy for goodWill not be renewing any of the products with them
Very disappointed

During a general engine search I found a domain name for 99cents Once I login to my account to pay the price jumps up to $ I have done business with this company before and this is the first time I have run into such gross advertising I was given a promo code by their employee and that didn't work They shouldn't go up 120% because I live in NYC

Horrible company, or just customer service experience so farI purchased a domain and the privacy protection services for a specific total price, that I triple checked on the multiple forms before checking outWhen I clicked the confirm/check-out button (right next to the total price), it brought me to the summary page where it had actually charged me DOUBLE what all the previous forms had said the price would be
I called customer service and explained what had happened and the guy I spoke to did not offer solutionAll he said was there is nothing anyone in the company can do after the payment has been processedApparently, no refunding, or crediting of any kind exists with GoDaddyI am still not sure how that happened, but it felt like being robbed

I think they suckI had Domains that I was putting up for saleThen I bought another domain for a price of $and placed it for sale tooLater my account was removed and I was over charged with an amount of $12.00+ which overdrew my bank accountLets face it, it is fraud

I had subscribed to Go Daddy Hosting services and charged $179.00- [03-26-2017], I called on 03-28-and REQUESTED TO CANCEL THE SERVICE AS I HAD ADDITIONAL OFFERS FOR LESS THAN HALF THAT RATE FOR SAME SERVICES
CALLED GO DADDY BACK ON 04-07-INQUIRING ABOUT REFUND AND THE FIRST REFUND HAD NOT BEEN PROCESSED?
CALLED BACK ON 04-27-INQUIRING ABOUT REFUND - "STILL NOT ISSUED TO ME[$179.00] AND THEY STATED THEY WOULD HAVE $CREDITED BACK WITHIN DAYS - THEN I CALLED TODAY 05-01-AND STILL NO REFUND HAS BEEN PROCESSED?
THIS IS MOST AMAZING?

I have been a GoDaddy customer for years nowI have over domains registered with them as I am a small scale domain investorI am really fed up with their constant trickeryRecently I received an email offer for a 25% for purchases over dollarsBased on this offer, I purchased domain names (all dot infos)When I tried to make use of this offer I basically got into a debate with GoDaddy as NOWHERE in the offer does it say it does not apply for auction purchasesGoDaddy alleges that they must pay the domain ownerThat is untrue in these cases, where GoDaddy is the actual holder of domains that expired due to lack of renewal paymentThe minimum commission charged by GoDaddy for this type of auction is dollarsSo for a domain purchased by dollars does that mean GoDaddy will call the alleged seller and ask for the dollar difference? I think notGoDaddy is knowingly and willingly providing customers with information in order to profit from those that do not

I have been with GoDaddy for a number of years now, for both my personal and business domainsI received an email from an Ashley M P*** this week, who claimed to be my "personal account manager" and stated that my website is out of dateShe also stated in the email 'THIS IS YOUR FINAL NOTICE"
I called and spoke to her, as typically when one of these "account managers" gets hold of me it is yet another overly aggressive attempt to up-sell meShe stated one of my two domains is on "outdated" software, and needs to be migrated to the newest versionAnd of course GoDaddy is "happy to help" - for $350.00, the same as THREE YEARS worth of maintenance on the domainI asked, what if I don't want to pay you to migrate it for me? The response:
"Then you'll have to rebuild from scratchAnd if you don't get it done in time your site will come downGood luck with that."
When I mentioned I think it unfair to tell me about this only days AFTER I had paid maintenance for the next y

Go Daddy originally was a great company to do business withAt some point this business appears to have lost interest in customer support and satisfactionI had a compliant with this company recently as they began charging for every e-mail profile created instead of the bulk cost for up to profiles
Now, in confusing their "Personal Website Builder" with the Website builder needed to maintain my business website, my site is now complete gone and cannot be restoredI have tried to minimize any interactions I must have with Go Daddy while still maintaining my website and business profile, but now that I have completely lost my website, I am down to just domain registration with companyI will rebuild my site on another, more modern platform and for less money
At least they were kind enough to refund what I paid for their "Personal Website Builder" when they found I wasn't using itMy last review for this company was rebutted by "someone" at Go Daddy, as this one probably will beHowever, I cannot emphasize strongly enough to businesses just starting out, search elsewhereYou need to establish key elements of your business foundation, like your web presence, with a company that cares about you and that you can trustThat is NOT this company

Go Daddy lied by phone, stating my website/domain would be renewed and my old website restoredAfter paying 250$ I tried to log in to my own website and it was deletedAfter calling go Daddy, they said "nothing they could do to restore my site and my money was wastedAccording to their contract, they could not refund my money"

when I signed up for a Go Daddy account years agoI was told that if I wanted to cancel it would be prorated and returned to meAfter trying to cancel my account months ago without success, because I lacked the customer #, I found the number and attempted to cancel January 20, I was informed by John, customer service agent that I was too late for their new day return windowI asked to speak to a supervisor and was told times by John that there weren't any there todayI would not accept that and finally he passed me to Chris the Scottsdale Billing SupervisorHe also refused to prorate a refund stating the new year old rule of a day returnI did not sign up under that provision and don't accept that I am not to be refundedI was Charged on November 7,8,and 9th They did not have an email address for me so I only saw the charge a moth later on my credit card statement

I paid for a domain name up front years ago for a period of yearsOn 11/16/I received an email notifying me that my account was automatically renewed
- I replied that I did not authorize this auto-renewal and requested it be cancelled and funds to be ***ed back to my accountI received an auto-notification that the email was undeliverable
- I called a few times a couple days later and couldn’t get through to a human
- I’ve never used the account or accessed it ever but on 11/26/I figured out how to access the account onlineI attempted to cancel and received multiple notifications that if I cancel the account the fees still would not be refunded
- on 11/27/I submitted a dispute to my *** card company, ***Cards
- on 11/30/*** updated my dispute stating they contacted GoDaddy and temporarily refunded the charges until the investigation was complete
- on 12/7/GoDaddy emailed stating that *** cancelled the payment so they subsequently

I filed a complaint due to the fact there is a continuing charge on my bank account from GoDaddy that no one can explain I spoke to my bank (*** ***) and they have referred me back to GoDaddy As I have not been able to get a response from GoDaddy I am filing a complaint Note, I have my website with GoDaddy and I am very happy with that but this is not acceptable Its $each month and no one can tell me why or what it is for ***

I signed up for a godaddy domain name on 9/2/to use for a business I had planned to startAfter several months, I realized this business was not one I wished to pursue and have not used the domain since then, around January At the time of purchase, it was not clear that auto-renewals would be set up for this product as it was the only payment option and typically auto-renewal is a separate selectionI also attempted at that time to remove credit card information on the account as I do not like to store my card information, but it appears that did not occurDue to the lack of clarity, I was not aware that I was set up for auto-renewal and my credit card was charged $on 9/2/17, which I only discovered due to late charges on this credit card as it had not been on my radar to monitor for new purchasesI called godaddy today, 11/20/17, to attempt to figure out why my credit card information would have been saved and I was told that the only way to remove a credit card fro

Godaddy has an auctions department that sells domains through an auction process similar to Ebay I placed a max bid of on a specific domain *** The godaddy system malfunctioned and put my bid as 22, I contacted Godaddy IMMEDIATELY prior to the auction finishing from both email and PHONE Godaddy General support told me that they didn't know what to do about the malfunction and this Auction ran on a Sunday and GODADDY auctions is conveniently NOT OPEN on Sunday The auction continued with the bidding continuing and stopped at $7300(ie my bid was overbidding everyone else because the system has my bid as 22,221) I contacted them through email (the only way the auction department seems to correspond) and they said there was nothing they could do I am long time member of godaddy have hundreds of domains, websites, been a premium member of the auctions sites, so I AM NOT a NOVICE and placed hundreds of bids over many many years This was system malfunction obvious

This is NOT the 1st time this has happen to us in the past yearsGodaddy has claimed that we cancelled our hosting package on January 15th which in turn brought all of our sites downNO ONE was emailed or called to confirm such a large action and the fact of the matter is we DID NOT cancel anything, nor did either one of us login to cancel thisThey (godaddy) says that they can NOT help us nor will they try and that all the web sites (of them) are no longer able to be recoveredNOR will they provide us with the IP address from that login cancelling this productWe stand to lose more than $10,per month plus the $150,that we lost from the sites that were built!

I am so stressed out with this company no renewal notices, nothing just straight takes money from the credit card which was never set up for pre-authorized paymentTook C$249.83, never was asked, and when I called to cancel I was told it will be cancelled, no notes left from the previous agent even though I had spoke with them days after the fact of money taken off the credit cardWhen I called a month later to ask why I have not received a refund ,I was told I am out of the thirty day period and cannot get a refundI was fraand would like a refund, never to deal with this company ever again

This company sells services and make promises they don't keep until that service is soldHave a hard time to get anyone to help me with any technical issues as they want to charge $for any little change they can make to your websiteAwful, rude customer servicethey don't want to help you they want to get to pay for any changes on the website/pages and then get annoyed and rude if you try to correct anything they didNever again after this term
